Disney’s “Zootopia 2” is trampling all competitors at the box office, with the animated sequel besting even “Wicked: For Good’s” massive opening weekend.
The new film follows the police duo of rabbit Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and red fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they go undercover to track Zootopia’s mysterious new villain, Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan). A sequel to 2016’s “Zootopia,” the latest film is not only a hit at the box office, it’s also led to a bonanza at booksellers and retailers online, as families scramble to pick up official “Zootopia 2” merch, toys and gifts ahead of the holidays.
