Japanese Anime ‘Killtube’ Brings Dystopian Battle to Tokyo Market

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

An original anime feature set in an alternate 2027 Japan is at the Tokyo Gap-Financing Market, promising a high-octane blend of feudal imagery and futuristic warfare.

“Killtube,” directed by Kuribayashi Kazuaki, takes place in a world where Japan remains under Edo Shogunate rule, transformed into a sprawling metropolis of skyscrapers behind isolationist walls. In this stratified society, citizens are divided into seven status levels that determine every aspect of their lives — from housing to occupation to food rations.

The only escape from predetermined fate comes through “Killtube,” a government-run streaming platform where combatants duel to the death for fortune and freedom. At the story’s center is Musashi, a boy raised by dogs at the bottom of society’s hierarchy, who teams up with Kikuchiyo, a shrewd producer, and Leo, an inventive genius, to fight their way to the top. Their unconventional approach catches the eye of Shogun Ieyasu himself, ultimately forcing them to confront the darker truths beneath their controlled world.

“Within the 90 minutes of the film, I want to paint the feeling of excitement that someone has felt in their life, and to do that, I try to keep that same excitement within myself throughout the process,” Kuribayashi tells Variety. “We would like the audience to feel that sense of excitement and anticipation, and if this original work can reach people across borders and connect with them, that would be a real success for us.”

The production has adopted an unconventional approach that sets it apart from typical anime workflows. “‘Killtube’s identity is built on continuously gathering and integrating ideas from creators across diverse industries,” Kuribayashi explains. “Rather than following a conventional assembly-line workflow, we iterate through idea cycles. The greatest challenge has been maintaining a sense of speed, but we are now at a stage where that flow is becoming firmly established.”

Producer Fujimura Kayane notes that the team completed the screenplay and storyboards in 2025 and has now entered the CG pre-visualization phase. “Because we adopted a unique workflow that required moving back and forth between scriptwriting and storyboarding, we faced some major creative challenges,” Fujimura says. “However, through that process, our team was able to shape a story and characters we are truly proud of.”

Casting is currently underway, bringing fresh momentum to the production. “Hearing the characters come to life through the actors’ voices has given the entire team a renewed sense of excitement and confidence in the project,” Fujimura adds.

For the filmmakers, the Tokyo Gap-Financing Market represents a crucial opportunity to expand the project’s reach beyond Japan. “It’s a very valuable opportunity for us to present ‘Killtube’ to audiences outside Japan,” Fujimura says. “We hope to directly share our vision and explore how people around the world perceive the potential of this project, while building new international relationships and collaborations along the way.”

The production is targeting completion in 2026, with plans for both local and international release. Kuribayashi remains hands-on throughout the process, “deeply involved in checking and directing every part of the production, from animation and recording to background CG and color keys.”

“We aim to release Killt’ube not only in Japan but also to audiences around the world,” Fujimura says. “We’re working hard to make it a film that people everywhere can look forward to.”

Robbie Walsh Brings Quiet Chaos to Life as Kane in SUGA: Ride or Die

Robbie Walsh Brings Quiet Chaos to Life as Kane in SUGA: Ride or Die

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

When SUGA: Ride or Die premiered on Amazon Prime Video on September 4, 2025, audiences were introduced to Kane, a volatile yet deeply human antagonist brought to life by Irish actor Robbie Walsh. Set against a world of crime, grief, and fractured loyalty, the series captured an unflinching portrait of survival, and at its core stood Walsh’s hauntingly restrained performance.

Kane is described as “a lunatic who walks the line between family devotion and survival,” a role Walsh approached with calculated duality. “I leaned into that contradiction. Kane can be brutal one minute and deeply protective the next. For me, the key was treating his violence and his loyalty as the same instinct, survival. He’ll do anything for family, but that same drive makes him dangerous.”

This moral ambiguity drew Walsh to the part. “He’s unpredictable. I’ve played fighters, villains, survivors before, but Kane has this quiet madness to him. He’s not looking for approval, he’s not trying to fit in, he’s just this force that arrives and unsettles everything.”

Unlike the show’s title character, Suga, Kane isn’t a biker, and that outsider status was key to Walsh’s portrayal. “That difference is everything. Kane doesn’t need the leather or the patch to prove who he is. He’s an outsider in their world, and that makes him more threatening, he’s not bound by their codes. He walks in on his own terms.”

That independence gives Kane an unpredictable edge, one that makes him both an adversary and mirror to Suga. “There’s definitely a respect there, but respect doesn’t mean mercy. Kane respects strength, and Suga has it, but that doesn’t stop him from seeing him as an obstacle. Kane understands the family situation but Kane’s family comes first before anyone.”

Walsh admits he’s most drawn to the character’s loyalty, though it’s a loyalty laced with danger. “The loyalty, hands down. The ruthlessness is the mask, the loyalty is what makes him human, and it’s what makes him dangerous, too. Because when loyalty is tested, that’s when the monster shows up.”

For Walsh, the power of Kane lies in his stillness. “Silence is more powerful than shouting. I worked on holding stillness, letting Kane’s presence do the talking. If you believe the threat is real, you don’t need to announce it, it’s scarier when you don’t.”

Body language became the foundation of that menace. “It’s all in the eyes, the pace, the stillness. I treated Kane like a loaded gun, the less movement, the more tension. If he twitches, you know it means something.”

To bring authenticity to the role, Walsh drew from real Irish underworld influences. “Yeah, I definitely pulled from Irish gangland culture. I grew up around stories of those figures, the codes they live by, how family and violence are tied together. I did base Kane on the stories of one or two people, but they will remain nameless, those influences are in Kane’s DNA.”

Transforming into Kane meant shedding every trace of softness. “Physically, it was about how he carries himself, grounded, immovable. Emotionally, it was stripping away charm or softness. Kane doesn’t ask for sympathy, so I had to drop that instinct as an actor and just sit in his rawness.”

Working under directors Diederik Van Rooijen and Michiel van Jaarsveld challenged Walsh to balance intensity with restraint. “Diederik and Michiel were fantastic. They never wanted Kane to be one-note. They pushed me to find those quiet, unsettling beats instead of playing him loud. It was about restraint, they would feed me improved lines and we’d go for it, but they stuck to what they wanted and I’d work with them and the team again in a heartbeat, less performance, more presence.”

Even the multilingual nature of the set added to the experience. “It was wild in the best way. You’re switching between Dutch, Flemish, English, and it forces you to really listen, to connect beyond words. That fits the world of the show, too, because Kane is a man of few words. He fits right in.”

And like any gritty shoot, there were lighter moments too. “The Irish guy me & Johnny & the crew were on a night shoot, it was absolutely awesome to see the trucks, drones, guns, lights but we had to lie down for hours, as I joked with our directors and crew I said ‘this floor smells weird’ and our friends happily laughed ‘Robbie brother, if it looks like shit, smells like shit, feels like shit, guess what?’ We laughed for an hour ruining a take.”

Walsh believes SUGA: Ride or Die goes far beyond typical crime drama. “Because it’s human. It’s not about clichés or tropes, it’s about grief, family, loyalty, revenge, survival. People know those feelings, and when you set them against a crime backdrop, it hits even harder.”

And for Kane, that universality is what makes him stand out. “He’s not glamorous, he’s not stylized. Shows like Sons of Anarchy or Peaky Blinders have big worlds, Kane is stripped back. He’s not mythology, he’s menace. He doesn’t want to rule the world, he just wants his piece of it. But I truly believe with time he could be one of the great villains, a true hero will sacrifice his loved ones to save the world, but the great villains will sacrifice the world to save their loved ones. This is Kane.”

Asked to sum up Kane in three words, Walsh doesn’t hesitate, “Unpredictable, loyal, ruthless.”

With that combination, Robbie Walsh’s Kane is poised to become one of the defining antiheroes of the year, a reminder that sometimes silence, loyalty, and danger share the same pulse.

Lorde Brings Out Charli XCX for ‘Girl, So Confusing’ in L.A.: Watch

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

The singers delivered the song’s remix at Kia Forum on Saturday

Lorde and Charli XCX worked it out on the remix live last night, with a surprise performance of their collaborative version of Charli XCX’s “Girl, So Confusing.”

At Lorde’s Ultrasound World Tour stop at Kia Forum in Los Angeles Saturday, the singer invited Charli XCX out during the encore. Lorde gave the audience a clue what was coming when she wrote the word “Girl” and underlined it on the palm of her hand, as fan footage shows.

Appearing on a small platform in the middle of the audience, Lorde started singing the song as a video displayed on the main stage screen showed footage of Charli, who turned out to be on the Kia Forum’s main floor. Charli then launched into her first verse. She walked through the audience and made her way to the platform, where the pair performed the Brat and It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat track together, delivering an energized, dance-fueled performance.

The duo previously performed the remix together during Charli’s co-headlining Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan in 2024, and earlier this year, they teamed up to perform it during Charli’s appearance at Coachella in April.

Trending Stories

A year after the remix’s release, and the song’s complicated female friendship narrative, which they address in their confessional collaborative version, continues to resonate not only between the artists and their fans, but with other female artists, too. In September, Hinds, who has been covering the remix version on tour, released a video for their spin on the track.

Lorde’s tour continues through the U.S. with three more stops — she plays Berkeley tonight before continuing on to Portland and Seattle. She then heads to the Europe and the U.K. She concludes the 2025 portion of the tour with a pair of shows in Brooklyn at Barclays Center on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17.

Playboi Carti Brings Out Kendrick Lamar & A$AP Rocky at L.A. Show

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Playboi Carti turned the Los Angeles stop of the Antagonist 2.0 Tour into a star-studded affair with A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar joining King Vamp on stage.

Carti and Opium crew took over Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night (Oct. 14). Rocky, who signed Carti to AWGE, invaded the stage to turn the party up while the Atlanta native performed “Long Time” from his 2018 Die Lit album.

Kendrick brought Playboi Carti out during the Atlanta stop of his Grand National Tour in April, and Carti returned the favor on Tuesday, surprising fans with a Lamar guest appearance during “GOOD CREDIT,” which sent the crowd into a frenzy.

“You know what this is/ The vamps and the boogies/ We jugg through the party,” Lamar raps in front of a sea of moshing fans and iPhone flashlights.

The Cardo-produced Music standout reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cracked the top 10 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Kendrick doesn’t pop out much, so it typically has to be a special occasion to catch him outside. He’s currently on a break from the Grand National Tour, which will head to Australia in December.

As for Carti, the Antagonist 2.0 Tour with Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely kicked off earlier this month, and is slated to hit Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, St. Paul, Brooklyn, Chicago, Detroit, Philly, Nashville and wrap up with a hometown performance in Atlanta in December.

On the music side, Playboi Carti has continued to tease his Baby Boi album, which remains without a release date. Back in April, DJ Swamp Izzo confirmed the project was “done.”

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Brings Back The Four Horsemen With New Tricks And A New Generation Of Magic | Glamsham.com

According to the official production notes from Lionsgate, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is set to release on November 14, 2025, marking the highly anticipated return of the Now You See Me franchise. While full plot details haven’t been revealed yet, it is expected to continue the story of The Four Horsemen, the group of illusionists who amazed audiences with their clever heists and intricate tricks in the previous films.

They are joined by Morgan Freeman and Rosamund Pike, who are expected to play key roles in this next magical adventure. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, known for Venom and Zombieland, and produced by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Bobby Cohen.

This new installment reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher, while introducing a new generation of illusionists played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt.

While specific details about the storyline are still under wraps, early discussions suggest that the new movie may explore the mysterious world of The Eye, the secret society that has guided the magicians’ elaborate schemes. It is also believed that the film will feature a balance between mentorship and rivalry as the original Horsemen cross paths with new illusionists.

The Now You See Me series has always stood out for its mix of intelligence, spectacle, and surprise. Though no one knows exactly what this new chapter will bring, fans are already excited and hoping for even bigger illusions and smarter storytelling.

The Best Dialogues From Romantics Anonymous: When Chocolate Brings Two Anxious Souls Together! | Glamsham.com

Netflix is set to release Romantics Anonymous, a new Japanese-Korean series that has been creating huge waves on the internet. Scheduled for October 16 release, the 8-episode show features well-known Japanese actor Oguri Shun and Korean Han Hyo Joo, and is adapted from the 2010 French-Belgian romantic comedy film of the same name.

The just-released trailer gives a peek into the bittersweet yet complex relationship between two vastly different people — both united by their shared love of chocolate. Han Hyo Joo plays Lee Ha Na, who is shy and tries not to make eye contact because of nervousness. Oguri Shun stars as Fujiwara Sosuke, a germaphobe chocolatier who has trouble with physical touch. Though they are not each other’s “type,” the couple repeatedly finds themselves thrown together in uncomfortable, witty, and poignant moments that push their limits — and slowly bring them closer.

The melodrama is not only about romance, but also explores emotional recovery and identity. Secondary characters also have an effect on the development of the central couple. Irene, who is both a doctor and therapist to Sosuke and Ha Na, assists the two in dealing with internal issues, although she herself struggles with alcoholism. Takada Hiroshi, an owner of a bar and Sosuke’s closest friend, happens to be an unsuspecting object of desire for Ha Na.

The cast also features Akanishi Jin, Nakamura Yuri, Narita Ryo, and Ito Ayumi, among others, to add richness and variety to the story.

With its irresistible setup, emotional depth, and exotic cultural mix, Romantics Anonymous will be a tear-jerking experience for lovers of offbeat romance — all served in a sumptuous, chocolate-scented wrapper.

Vivienne Westwood brings beauty from chaos and dying sunflowers in Paris

Vivienne Westwood brings beauty from chaos and dying sunflowers in Paris

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

PARIS — Light streamed through the stained glass of the Institut de France onto a surreal stage: a lone cellist playing a melancholy air, next to an upside-down umbrella and a rotating tableau of dying sunflowers. It was a theatrical overture for Saturday’s Paris Fashion Week. This was spring — Vivienne Westwood style.

Vivienne Westwood brings beauty from chaos and dying sunflowers in Paris

Andreas Kronthaler, who has helmed the house since Westwood’s death in 2022 and whose name joined the label in 2016, leaned hard into the madhat energy that made the brand a legend. Leopard-print men’s underwear sat alongside sheer, ribbed tunics with a medieval air. Punk flashed in a jeweled veil and glittered lapels. Models strode in floppy, swashbuckling ’70s boots that turned the grand academic setting into a carnival.

The lineup spoke fluent Westwood: draped and deconstructed silhouettes, gathered dresses with double skirts, tailoring cut just off balance. Colors clashed on purpose, with sour greens near reds — until the eye adjusted and chaos clicked into order. One jeweled necklace made it literal: “CHAOS.”

Westwood made her name on King’s Road in the 1970s, wiring tartan, corsetry and ripped tees into the grammar of punk. That outsider spirit still drives the house, even as its reach has gone mainstream. Since Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Westwood bridal gown in “ Sex and the City,” the label’s wedding business has boomed — a point underscored by the hundreds of noisy fans thronging the Institut de France on Saturday, jostling for a glimpse.

Kronthaler has long thrived on turning bourgeois classics inside out — warping jackets, loading corsetry into knits, twisting tartan into punk romance. That maximalist urge can tip into excess, yet it is also the house’s lifeblood, keeping Westwood’s language loud and elastic rather than embalmed.

Much of Westwood’s power has historically come from mining and mutating the archive — the ’80s corset legacy, Napoleonic swagger, Shakespearean drama. Since Westwood’s passing, Kronthaler has shifted from careful custodian to provocateur, forging new hybrids instead of simply quoting the past. Saturday’s show advanced that shift: historic tunics, technical fabrics and second-skin underwear collided by design, not accident.

The finale gave the collection a human punch. Heidi Klum closed the runway to loud cheers. Kronthaler stepped out with a bouquet of sunflowers so heavy he had to rest it on the floor before handing it over — a wry echo of the revolving sunflower still life and a tender nod to the house’s stubborn romanticism.

If the collection lacked order, it didn’t lack conviction. Few labels turn visual discord into persuasive beauty. Westwood still can — under stained glass and that glinting necklace, it did.

Normal Ghee vs. A2 Ghee

  • Milk Source: Normal ghee is made from milk of regular or crossbred cows, which usually contains A1 protein. In contrast, A2 ghee comes from indigenous cow breeds like Gir or Sahiwal, producing only the A2 beta-casein protein.
  • Digestibility: A2 ghee is easier on the stomach and gentler for digestion, making it suitable for people with sensitive tummies. Normal ghee may cause bloating or discomfort in some individuals due to A1 protein.
  • Nutritional Benefits: Both provide healthy fats and vitamins, but A2 ghee retains higher bioavailable nutrients, antioxidants, and immunity-boosting properties.
  • Suitability: Normal ghee is fine for everyday use, while A2 ghee is ideal for those seeking better digestion, gut health, and overall wellness, offering a premium and nourishing choice.
