Borderlands 4 has finally been released, and with every new Gearbox entry, that means there are fresh SHiFT codes you can redeem to get free loot and items in-game.

Here is a full breakdown of the currently active SHiFT codes, the ones that have expired, and the rewards you can earn. You can also find out how to redeem them yourself.

‘Borderlands 4’ SHiFT codes

The currently active Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes as of September 13, 2025, are:

  • T9RJB-BFKRR-3RBTW-B33TB-KCZB9 – 1 Golden Key
  • WHWJB-XH3SX-39CZW-H3BBB-BTF55 – 1 Golden Key
  • THRBT-WW6CB-56TB5-3B3BJ-XBW3X – 1 Golden Key (Active until September 30, 2025)

For additional SHiFT Codes, be sure to look on Gearbox’s social media accounts for the latest updates and announcements, as well as this article. Randy Pitchford will also tweet out codes fairly often on his own Twitter account.

There aren’t any expired SHiFT Codes just yet, but we will be sure to update this section of the guide once codes begin to expire.

You can redeem any SHiFT Codes in Borderlands 4 once you have signed up for and logged into a SHiFT account. You can redeem these codes directly on the site or in-game. If you are opting to redeem them in-game, you will need to head to the pause menu, select the ‘SHiFT’ option, and then ‘Rewards’. Some codes will take a little while to register in-game, so if you haven’t obtained your reward just yet, give it some time.

Codes are regularly handed out online, so expect a new one every few days-few weeks to add some additional loot to your collection of items.

Borderlands 4 is almost here, and players are keen to know how they can jump in and play at launch. For example, will the game be available on Game Pass or other subscription services.

Here is what we know.

Unfortunately, Borderlands 4 is not set to launch on Game Pass at launch. 2K hasn’t made any announcement about the game launching on any subscription service, so you will have to pay full price to jump into the game’s launch on September 12, 2025.

This could change. After all, we have seen Borderlands games released on PS Plus and Game Pass after launch. However, you will likely have to wait a few years before that happens, as the game is expected to be a big seller, so 2K will want to sell as many copies as possible before offering it for free. If this changes at any point, we will be sure to update this guide.

How to earn ‘Borderlands 4’ Twitch Drops, full rewards list

Borderlands 4 has unveiled its Twitch Drops campaign during the game’s launch, where you can earn some unique cosmetics by watching some Twitch streamers check out the game.

Here is a full breakdown of the Borderlands 4 Twitch Drops campaign and the rewards you can earn.

How to earn ‘Borderlands 4’ Twitch Drops

To earn Borderlands 4‘s Twitch Drops, you will need to log in and link your SHiFT Account and Twitch Account together. You then need to watch any livestream in the Borderlands 4 category, on the official Borderlands 4 Twitch channel or on the Gearbox Twitch channel for 30 minutes between August 29, 2025, and September 29, 2025, to earn the drop.

The reward you get is the “Watch, Drop, and Roll” ECHO-4 Drone Skin cosmetic, which is your personal companion who accompanies you and directs you to objectives throughout the game, no matter which Vault Hunter you choose.

The skin will then be available when you log in to Borderlands 4 upon release and enter your SHiFT account details. This will include the Nintendo Switch 2 version, which launches about a month after the game on other platforms.

It is kind of surprising that there is only one reward, as many games opt for several Twitch Drops on a weekly rotation or across an initial launch period. Either way, the fact that you only need to watch 30 minutes of any stream (which can easily be left on in the background) should make this easy for anyone to earn.
