Melrose Place star Grant Show recently made a blunt confession about Season 1 of the ’90s drama series.
On the November 3 episode of the Still Here Hollywood With Steve Kmetko podcast, Show, 63, spoke about the early days of Melrose Place with host, former E! News Live star Steve Kmetko, 72.

Newly-launched AI talent studio Xicoia have created the digital performer, with Eline Van der Velden unveiling the project at the Zurich Film Festival and it already attracting interest from talent agents, and the Smashing Machine actress is horrified by the prospect.
Shown a report on Tilly, Emily told Variety: “Does it disappoint me? I don’t know how to quite answer it, other than to say how terrifying this is.
“No, are you serious? That’s an AI? Good Lord, we’re screwed. That is really, really scary, Come on, agencies, don’t do that. Please stop. Please stop taking away our human connection.”
The 42-year-old actress noted Tilly was designed to resemble a composite of familiar stars and was told she was designed as “the next Scarlett Johansson”.
She replied: “But we have Scarlett Johansson.”
Emily isn’t the only Hollywood critic of the project.
Scream actress Melissa Barrera has branded the arrival of Tilly “gross”.
She posted an Instagram Story about the news and captioned it: “Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$. How gross, read the room.(sic)”
Matilda star Mara Wilson was equally horrified.
She posted: “And what about the hundreds of living young women whose faces were composited together to make her? You couldn’t hire any of them?”
Whoopi Goldberg blasted the idea on The View and insisted the AI model would have an “unfair advantage” – but noted the technology isn’t yet “seamless” enough for them to pass as human.
She said: “The problem with this, in my humble opinion, is that you are suddenly up against something that’s been generated with 5,000 other actors.”It’s got Bette Davis’ attitude, it’s got Humphrey Bogart’s lips.
“It’s got my humour, thank you darling. And so it’s a little bit of an unfair advantage. You know what? Bring it on. You can always tell them from us. We move differently, our faces move differently, our bodies move differently…
“Hopefully, we’ll be able to hold on because what this means is AI in the workplace — not just my workplace, but in every industry.
“Some industries are using AI now. People talk about people are so lonely they don’t have a connection, if you stick with this, with AI, you won’t have any connection to anything but your phone.”
Simu Liu also condemned the project.
He sarcastically wrote on his Instagram Story: “Movies are great but you know what would be better is if the characters in them weren’t played by actual humans but by AI replicas approximating human emotion.”
Creator Eline insisted Tilly is “a piece of art” and she doesn’t view AI as a “replacement” for real people.
She wrote on Instagram: “To those who have expressed anger over the creation of my AI character, Tilly Norwood, she is not a replacement for a human being, but a creative work – a piece of art. Like many forms of art before her, she sparks conversation, and that in itself shows the power of creativity.
“I see AI not as a replacement for people, but as a new tool, a new paintbrush. Just as animation, puppetry, or CGI opened fresh possibilities without taking away from live acting, AI offers another way to imagine and build stories.
“I’m an actor myself, and nothing – certainly not an AI character – can take away the craft or joy of human performance.”

Emily Blunt was shocked to discover that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is so “contemplative”.

The 42-year-old actress first worked with the wrestler-turned-actor on 2021’s Jungle Cruise, and the Hollywood duo instantly struck-up a good friendship.
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, Emily explained: “We just became very fast friends, like an immediate secret language, which I think you feel with certain people that you work with.”
Emily admits that Dwayne, 53, was totally different to how she imagined him to be.
The actress – who has reunited with Dwayne to star in The Smashing Machine, their new sports-drama movie – explained: “We just talked and shared our souls. And I was just really taken by, I guess, how different he was from what I had imagined.
“He was so gentle and quite interior and sort of contemplative and kind, just easy. Like, so lovely to be around, funny and quick, all these qualities.”
Dwayne also heaped praise on his co-star, describing Emily as one of his “best friends”.
He said: “I also want to give Emily her flowers too. She is one of the greatest actors of our time — of all time. And also one of my best friends.
“In order to go to the place we were going to go, you have to have love, and then you have to have trust. And the love and the trust then allow for vulnerability. We could not have done that without this love and trust and vulnerability that we have.”
Emily shared an on-screen kiss with Dwayne in Jungle Cruise – but the actress previously insisted that John Krasinski, her husband, is “immune” to her steamy love scenes.
The 45-year-old actor has been married to Emily since 2010, and she admits that he’s become numb to her on-screen romances over the years.
Asked how he felt about her on-screen kiss with The Rock in Jungle Cruise, Emily told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Honestly, John is so used to me having to make out with other men. He’s immune to it at this point. That was part of the deal when we got married!”

The show, which debuted in May to coincide with the opening week of this year’s Architecture Biennale, seemed perfectly engineered to serve as a conversation starter for the evening ahead: featuring hundreds of rare documents, it explores how diagrams have been used across the centuries for humans to make sense of the world, spanning subjects from war to health, to the environment. Chatter about the exhibition—and, of course, the various films premiering in Venice this week—could be heard from the third floor of the 18th-century palazzo, where waiters began to circulate with negronis and Champagne, as well as playful canapés of anchovies and butter on toast and miniature cucumber sandwiches served on antique silver platters. The stars arrived in their droves: Amanda Seyfried with Mona Fastvold, the director of her new film The Testament of Ann Lee, in a retro floral halter neck dress. Emma Corrin and Alexa Chung, both wearing the statement bullet bras from the brand’s fall 2025 collection, caught up over plates of freshly sliced mozzarella and ricotta-stuffed courgette flowers. Willem Dafoe and Mrs. Prada were deep in conversation at a table by the window, their companions admiring the 19th-century linen napkins embroidered with the initials of their original owner. The most unexpected sighting, however? Dwayne Johnson, who was in town to promote the new Benny Safdie film The Smashing Machine, and posed for photos alongside his co-star and good friend Emily Blunt. (Is the Rock a Miu Miu girl now?)
The tables were heaving with food everyone could help themselves from—loaded up on Meissen china that belongs to Mrs. Prada herself, which, like the silver platters and napkins, had been ferried over from her home in Milan—and the convivial atmosphere felt a little like being over at the Prada family pad for dinner. You know you’re throwing a good party, after all, when even the actors with premieres the next day are still hanging around at the stroke of midnight.
