Quentin Tarantino Films Cut ‘Kill Bill’ Scene in Fortnite

by jummy84 November 30, 2025
written by jummy84

If you thought Quentin Tarantino didn’t have even more to add to “Kill Bill” and make the film any longer, think again.

Tarantino is set to release possibly his greatest movie, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,” which is a four-plus-hour cut of “Kill Bill” combined as one film, in theaters next month. It includes an un-seen anime sequence that wasn’t even in the original Cannes cut of “Kill Bill,” but that wasn’t the only thing he had previously left on the cutting room floor.

There was yet another chapter of the film that Tarantino wrote for the very first draft of his film, but he trimmed it and the sequence was never filmed. Now, more than 20 years after the release of both “Kill Bill” movies, Tarantino has turned to an unusual means to bring his vision of this lost “Kill Bill” scene to life: the massively popular video game “Fortnite.”

Tarantino using “Fortnite’s” game engine Unreal Engine directed a motion-captured short film that reunites him with Uma Thurman, reprising her role as The Bride. The sequence effectively fills in a gap in the lore of “Kill Bill” that had not previously been seen on screen. So yes, even though the short features Fortnite’s banana character Peely, this new short can be considered canon in Tarantino’s cinematic universe.

The short is called “The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge,” and is set after the Bride takes down the ball-and-chain wielding killer Gogo Yubari. Now, we see the Bride battle Yubari’s twin sister Yuki. After a split-screen sequence of Yuki arriving in Hollywood “Battlewood” and even surveilling The Bride outside Vernita Green’s home, Yuki confronts The Bride, still driving the Pussy Wagon truck, and aims to gun her down.

Battlewood in ‘Fortnite: After Dark’

What ensues is an elaborate shoot-em-up and car chase in which Yuki, in this version, ultimately dies not a bloody death but a blue, pixel-y one before she’s beamed up and set to be respawned, “Fortnite” style.

Unlike an animated sequence that just features Thurman’s voice, Tarantino is actually directing Thurman as dressed and photographed with a motion-capture helmet cam, and her performance and the whole sequence was rendered in Unreal Engine as though it were an in-game cinematic.

“Fortnite” intends to premiere “Yuki’s Revenge” as part of its latest season of gameplay, Chapter 7. “Fortnite” for this new season has a Hollywood theme, and rather than stage a virtual concert in the digital “Fortnite” lobbies as they’ve done before, the “Yuki’s Revenge” scene acts as a brand-new Quentin Tarantino film making its world premiere in the game. Players who log on can watch the film on November 30 at 2 p.m. ET.

Speaking at a special “Fortnite” event from Tarantino’s own Vista Theater in Los Angeles on November 19, Tarantino explained that the reason the Yuki fight scene was cut from his draft was because the movie was already shaping up to be over four hours long, and it was too much to have both the Gogo Yubari battle and the Yuki battle in the same film.

‘Fortnite: After Dark’

He clarified that, even though the fight was cut from the film, in his mind, we’re to assume the fight still happened as part of The Bride’s journey, even though we never saw it. In fact, an actual take used in “Kill Bill” outside Vernita’s home has the sound of an ice cream truck jingle in the background, and Tarantino used that take to suggest that someone, in this case Yuki, was secretly watching The Bride all along.

Tarantino was asked at the event if he would ever consider making another film in “Fortnite” or utilizing some other animation techniques in order to create some of the spinoff ideas he’s been teasing over the years, and he suggested there could be some future where it helps him craft an origin story for Bill or a side project about the Vega brothers as seen in “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction.”

While it means that we’ll soon see players running around “Fortnite” Battle Royales in skins as The Bride or Gogo Yubari, Tarantino praised the “Fortnite” team for wanting to help him create something he had lingering, rather than have him come up with something entirely new that featured some of his iconic characters.

“I always wanted it to see the light of day, and now it has,” Tarantino said at the event.

“You and I have unfinished business.” “Baby, you ain’t kidding…” ⚔️ Lionsgate keeps revealing marketing promos for the upcoming Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair release this December. Another 30 second teaser + 2 posters below. This is the definitive, original version of the entire story that Quentin Tarantino envisioned over 20 years ago. As everyone knows, Tarantino’s brutal revenge saga Kill Bill was released in two parts: Kill Bill: Volume 1 in 2003 and Kill Bill: Volume 2 in 2004. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride – an assassin left for dead who miraculously survives then goes on a rampaging revenge tour to get back at her old boss and all of his assassins. Both of them are some of my favorite movies ever made. Also starring Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Gordon Liu as Pai Mei, Michael Parks, and David Carradine as “Bill”. Presented exactly as Tarantino intended, complete with a never-before-seen anime sequence, The Whole Blood Affair unites Vol. 1 & 2 into a single, unrated epic. The highly anticipated release marks one of the rare times that the entire epic has been presented as a single, combined film. It’s going to be playing on screens nationwide – a full 4-1/2 hours (with intermission). Get your tickets.

Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair unites Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single, unrated epic—presented exactly as he intended, complete with a new, never-before-seen anime sequence. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, left for dead after her former boss and lover Bill ambushes her wedding rehearsal, shooting her in the head and stealing her unborn child. To exact her vengeance, she must first hunt down the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill himself. With its operatic scope, relentless action, and iconic style, The Whole Bloody Affair stands as one of cinema’s definitive revenge sagas—rarely shown in its complete form, and now presented with a classic intermission. Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is written and directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, his fourth (and fifth) feature film at the time after making Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Jackie Brown (1997) before. Bill Maher Reveals Why He Refuses to Do Stand-Up Comedy Again

by jummy84 November 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Bill Maher doesn’t have any plans to hit the road again for more stand-up comedy shows due to the current intense political divide in the United States.

The comedian and host of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher recently chatted with Patton Oswalt on his Club Random podcast, where he opened up about why he’s decided to stop doing live comedy shows.

“I feel like it was a great choice because I don’t want to be out there in this country in this political atmosphere. I could get shot by the left or the right,” he said. “It’s a good time to not be out there.”

In addition to getting “tired of the travel,” Maher said he also “got tired of being twice as funny as people who were selling twice as many tickets as me.”

“That’s, you know, partly because I’m on TV every week,” he continued. “And not that I didn’t sell a lot of tickets and do great theaters, but I didn’t sell arenas, and some people did who frankly are not that great. But, you know, when the audience is 35 to 45, they don’t want to see somebody 70. I want to see my generation, and it’s OK. I still have my show. I have this. I didn’t need it. I miss it, but that’s part of what it is.”

Maher, who has been outspoken about his moderately democratic views for years, describing himself as “an old-school liberal,” has faced backlash from both sides of the political aisle.

While he’s regularly criticized Donald Trump and other conservative figures, in April, the comedian shared his new perspective on the president following their meeting at the White House. Maher concluded that Trump was actually “gracious and measured,” and not like the “person who plays a crazy person on TV,” drawing criticism from some, such as Marc Maron.

Maher’s most recent comedy special, Bill Maher: Is Anyone Else Seeing This?, premiered earlier this year on HBO.

Raven-Symoné Rare Comments on Bill Cosby Allegations

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Raven-Symoné is sharing her thoughts on one of her earliest mentors.

The Cosby Show alum—who made her acting debut on the ‘80s sitcom at age 3—made rare comments about her former costar Bill Cosby’s sexual assault cases, explaining that she separates his legal troubles from his professional accomplishments.

“He has been accused of some horrific things,” she said on the Nov. 3 episode of the Hate to Break It to Ya podcast. “That does not excuse, but that’s his personal [life]. So personally, keep that there, and then business-wise, know what he did there as well.”

During the conversation, Raven, 39, highlighted the disgraced comedian’s contributions to the television industry, including pioneering the practice of hiring Black crew members on set of his series.

“Now it’s mandated,” she explained, “but back then—especially on a Black show—it was very important to see yourself not just in front, but behind the camera as well, and Mr. Cosby instilled that in all of us.”

Bill Maher Issues Brutal Takedown of Supreme Court Amid Government Shutdown

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Bill Maher criticized the U.S. Supreme Court for appearing partisan.
  • He highlighted the contrast between federal district courts frequently ruling against Donald Trump and the Supreme Court’s tendency to favor him.
  • Maher compared the Constitution to the Bible, suggesting both are revered but often ignored in practice.

Bill Maher issued a brutal takedown of the U.S. Supreme Court amid the government shutdown — while making a bold comparison of the Bible and the U.S. Constitution in the process.

On the Friday, November 7 episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the comedian, 69, spoke at length about the Supreme Court’s recent track record.

“The Supreme Court has to recognize that they have one last chance to not look like a bunch of partisan hacks who are no different than the other two branches of the government,” he said. “This week, the court is hearing about a case that will definitively tell us if they really are a separate branch of government — or whether when the founders said you are a check on executive power, they thought it meant a blank check.”

That’s when Maher compared federal district court rulings to the U.S. Supreme Court rulings over the summer on things like “withholding money that Congress specifically authorized and suspending due process for non-citizens.” Between May 1 and June 23, federal district courts ruled against President Donald Trump 94.3% of the time (82 out of 87 cases), versus Trump’s 17-case winning streak in the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Which is funny because during the [Joe] Biden years, the court was all about reigning in presidential power,” Maher pointed out.

On Friday, the Supreme Court also granted the Trump administration’s emergency appeal to temporarily block a court order to fully fund SNAP benefits amid the government shutdown — after a federal judge gave the administration until Friday to make a payment to fully fund SNAP.

After skewering Trump for tariffs and declarations of nine national emergencies since taking office, Maher compared the U.S. Constitution to the Bible, tying back to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“The Constitution: Is it still a real thing, or is it just a vibe now?” he wondered aloud. “The Supreme Court has to decide: Are you going to be Democracy’s last line of defense, or is the Constitution now — really, let’s  be honest — just like the Bible. Just a sacred, old text that everyone name-drops with reverence but no one actually reads or even feels bad about ignoring.”

Maher continued, “Both testaments, the old due in the sky, and his hippie son — both have many commandments and pronouncements about slavery, and none of them are, ‘Don’t do it.’ The thing is, the Constitution is pro-slavery, too. But the difference with science and faith is, with the Constitution, we could amend it and did.”

To conclude his thoughts, the comedian added, “I could live with the Bible and its Bronze-Age nonsense as long as we also had the greatest document from the Age of Enlightenment. But now I fear they are both like a hot dog: Something Americans love, but they don’t know what’s in it, and they don’t care.”

First Look Teaser for ‘Dead Man’s Wire’ Thriller Starring Bill Skarsgard

“These people lure in common folk, give ’em a taste of the American Dream, and then spit ’em right out!” Row K Entertainment has revealed a teaser trailer for the hit film Dead Man’s Wire, which received huge applause and tons of great reviews playing across many film festivals this fall. Dead Man’s Wire is the latest film directed by American filmmaker maestro Gus Van Sant, an entirely true story from the 1970s about a hostage situation. “His revolution was televised.” Based on a true story, the 1977 kidnapping of a prominent banker grips the nation and turns the everyman abductor (starring Bill Skarsgård) into an outlaw folk hero. As the media frenzy peaks, the standoff becomes a spectacle of desperation, defiance and blurred justice, which resonates even today. Starring Bill Skarsgård as Tony Kiritsis, Dacre Montgomery as Dick Hall, Cary Elwes, Myha’la, Colman Domingo, and Al Pacino. I saw this at the Venice Film Festival (read my review) and the audience went nuts – they were full-on cheering & applauding throughout the entire credits. Opening in theaters in January in just a few months from now – this film deserves to end up a big smash hit.

Here’s the first look teaser trailer for Gus Van Sant’s film Dead Man’s Wire, direct from YouTube:

Dead Man's Wire Trailer

Dead Man's Wire Poster

The morning of February 8, 1977, Anthony G. “Tony” Kiritsis (starring Bill Skarsgård), 44, entered the office of Richard O. Hall, president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun wired with a “dead man’s wire” from the trigger to the Hall’s head. This is the true story of the stand-off that took the world by storm as Tony demanded $5 million, no charges & no prosecution, and a personal apology from the Halls for cheating him out of what he was “owed.” Dead Man’s Wire is directed by award-winning American filmmaker Gus Van Sant, director of many great films including My Own Private Idaho, Good Will Hunting, Psycho, Elephant, Finding Forrester, Paranoid Park, Milk, Restless, Promised Land, The Sea of Trees, and Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot previously. The screenplay is written by Austin Kolodney. And it’s produced by Noor Alfallah & Remi Alfallah, Mark Amin, Andrea Bucko, Gordon Clark, Tom Culliver, Cassian Elwes, Joel David Moore, Matt Murphie, Siena Oberman, Paula Paizes, Sam Pressman, Veronica Radaelli. This initially premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival earlier this year (our review). Row K will release Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire film in select US theaters on January 9th, 2026 early next year, expanding wide on January 16th. Who’s ready to watch?

Bill Maher Calls White House “Just A Building” After Demo

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

As Donald Trump stirs up more national outrage over his demolition of the White House‘s East Wing, one of his favorite dinner guests is brushing off the controversy.

On Friday’s episode of Real Time, Bill Maher gave a flippant response when guest panelist Michael Steele mourned “the destruction of a symbol of this government” after the Trump administration had the historic structure torn down to make way for his ballroom.

“You’re talking about the White House? Oh, it’s a building, Mike. It’s a building.”

Steele argued that Trump “tore it down without accountability,” explaining, “It’s a building, maybe to you, but to a lot of Americans, it’s not. And I’m gonna tell you, as a young kid growing up in D.C., when my daddy took me by that building, it meant something to me as a 10-year-old. It meant something to me to grow up in a town where everybody in this country came and protested, and cried and screamed and laughed. So, that building, for me, was my childhood.”

Maher rebutted, “First of all, I agree. I said, he should have gotten the permits. But that’s how he does things. I agree. But it is just a building … that part of the building wasn’t always there. Presidents do change the buildings. Nixon put in a bowling alley, Obama made the tennis court a basketball court. I can’t get this mad about everything, Mike, I just can’t.”

The facade of the East Wing of the White House is demolished by work crews on Oct. 21, 2025 in Washington, DC.(Andrew Harnik/Getty Images)

“The symbolism is, he’s not leaving. That’s what bothers me about it. Who puts in a giant ballroom if you’re leaving?” he added. “OK, but that’s the issue, not the building.”

Panelist Kate Bedingfield argued that the destruction is an example of Trump’s behavior being “impulsive, reckless, driven by his own desire for self-agrandizement.”

“If this was the only thing he had done on that front, then I would give you, ‘it’s just a building,’” said Bedingfield. “But it’s not. It’s part of a manner of governing that’s tearing at some of the institutional foundations in this country, and that’s scary.”

Maher later had to swallow his own words after his writers apparently didn’t get the memo about his lack of concern for the White House demolition, joking on his ‘New Rules’ segment: “Now that President Trump is redecorating the White House, building a ballroom and hosting brunches at his new rose garden club…”

After an uncomfortable pause, Maher continued, “He has to start a new series called Queer Eye for the Authoritarian Guy.”

Photos taken on Thursday appeared to show that the Trump administration has not only torn down the East Wing—which was built in 1902 and renovated in 1942—but the East Colonnade, which included a movie theater that has hosted screenings for decades.

The White House has defended the project, noting that it is being privately funded and that many presidents of the past have made alterations. The area is being cleared to make way for Trump’s planned $300 million ballroom, with a list of corporate donors including Comcast and Amazon providing funds.
