The Morning Show is back with its fourth season, and it received an early renewal for a fifth season right as Season 4 premiered.

With the timeline picking up nearly two years after the end of Season 3, Season 4 finds Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) separated, but the pair quickly comes back together. The Season 4 needle drops started off strong with Beyoncé’s “Alligator Tears” from her Album of the Year-winning Cowboy Carter playing when Mia Jordan (Karen Pittman) goes to get Bradley back under the now-merged UBN umbrella.

Janelle Monae’s “Dance Apocalyptic” also plays in the first episode. Of course, Benjamin Clementine’s “Nemesis” is back as the main theme during the show’s opening credits. Last season featured Tom Petty, Tony Bennett, Cigarettes After Sex and more. Beyoncé, Tyler, Missy Pay Tribute To D’Angelo

by jummy84 October 15, 2025

Luminaries from throughout the music world are paying tribute to R&B icon D’Angelo, who died yesterday (Oct. 14) at the age of 51 after battling prostate cancer. The artist had played only two proper concerts since 2016 but was reportedly deep into working on a new album.

”We thank you for your beautiful music, your voice, your proficiency on the piano, your artistry,” Beyoncé wrote. “You were the pioneer of neo-soul and that changed and transformed rhythm and blues forever. We will never forget you.”

“Rest peacefully, D’Angelo,” said Missy Elliott. “No parent want to see their children go but it’s painful for children to see their parents go too, so send prayers up for his son, who also lost his mom this year, for strength.” The mother of D’Angelo’s son, Angie Stone, died in a car crash in March.

Tyler, the Creator relayed a story about spending $20 given to him for his ninth birthday on a copy of D’Angelo’s acclaimed 2000 album Voodoo at South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach, Ca. “I had no idea that would help shape my musical DNA,” he said. “The amount of raps I’ve wrote to ‘Botty’ on the front porch that year, the amount of times I’ve tried to mimic vocal phrasing from ‘Send It On,’ the scratches the disc ended up with from repeating ‘The Root’ … too many. I am so lucky to have gotten my copy of Voodoo when i did. We are so lucky to have been alive to enjoy his art.”

“My friend Gary Harris brought this musician named D’Angelo over to my NYC apartment,” recalled Nile Rodgers. “He was trying to figure out what to do with the music he’d brought with him. I listened to every cut — not just out of respect but because it was smoking. At the end of the encounter he asked me, ‘what should I do with it?’ I remember this as if it were yesterday. I said, ‘put it out. It’s perfect!’ Being the artist he is, I guess he had to explore some ways to make it better. About a year later I heard one of those songs on the radio. It was genius was exactly what he had played for me. I know — I still have the original cassette.”

“One of my all time favorites whose records I went to again and again,” said Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. “No one did anything funkier over the last 30 years. I never knew him but humbled myself before his music. What a rare and beautiful voice and an inimitable approach to songwriting. What a musician!!! He changed the course of popular music. Fly free with the angels, D’Angelo. We will listen to you forever and always be moved. I drop to my knees and pray.”

“Rest in peace, D’Angelo,” opined Doja Cat. “My thoughts, love and prayers go out to his family and friends. A true voice of soul and inspiration to many brilliant artists of our generation and generations to come.”

“I never met D’Angelo but I love him, respect him, admire his gift,” wrote Jill Scott. “This loss HURTS!! Love to my family that are family to him. I’m so sorry. R.I.P. GENIUS.”

His reclusiveness has limited the wider public’s appreciation of his talent but dude was an absolute beast. A genius. Highly recommend anyone who is unfamiliar with his work to check out 2019’s Devil’s Pie: D’Angelo documentary.”

Aminé wrote, “i was 15 when my older cousin took me on a roadtrip to the bay and played me all of brown sugar and voodoo for the very first time. my life changed that day and i was obsessed. Rest in paradise D’angelo. U really meant so much to me and my family.”

Condolences: Grammy-Winning Producer Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown, Known For Work w/ Beyoncé & Drake, Has Passed Away At 49

Very sad news.

Sidney “Omen” Brown, the Grammy-winning producer celebrated for shaping hits with Beyoncé, Drake, and Lil Wayne, has passed away at 49.

His mother, Martha Brown, confirmed the heartbreaking news after a relative discovered his body in his Harlem apartment. Staff at Barawine Harlem, a wine bar where he worked for over a decade, had grown concerned when he failed to report for duty.

“It is with shock and deep sadness we have heard about the passing of our dear friend,” the restaurant shared. “There are not enough words to express our feelings.”

Brown’s musical career took flight in the 2000s, working with Roc-A-Fella staples like Mýa and Fabolous. He earned his first Grammy for producing “Tell It Like It Is” on Ludacris’ “Release Therapy” album. His later credits include co-producing Drake’s “Shut It Down” and Beyoncé’s “Mine” featuring Drake.

Ethyl’s Bar, where he also DJed, remembered him as “a friend and family member” who will be deeply missed by all.

His cause of d*ath has not yet been revealed.

Prayers to his loved ones during this trying time.

Drake, Beyoncé, and Lil Wayne Producer Omen Dies at 49

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Sidney Brown, the producer and DJ who worked with the likes of Drake, Beyoncé, and Lil Wayne under the name Omen, has died. Brown was found in his Harlem, New York apartment on Saturday, September 13, by his sister, Nicole Iris Brown. “He was holistic and healthy. So we don’t know of him being sick, so this is all pretty sudden,” she said in a statement to NBC News. Brown was 49.

Born in Harlem in 1976, Brown produced for artists in the Roc-A-Fella Records orbit throughout the late ’90s and early ’00s. He worked on Memphis Bleek’s Coming of Age, Mýa’s Moodring, and Fabolous’ Street Dreams, among others. Brown also composed the score for Paper Soldiers, the 2002 rap comedy produced by Roc-A-Fella’s film studio that gave Kevin Hart his big-screen debut.

In 2006, Brown made the beat for “Tell It Like It Is” from Ludacris’ Release Therapy, which won Best Rap Album at the 2007 Grammy Awards. A few years later, he met Drake through Noah “40” Shebib, and ended up co-producing “Shut It Down,” a The-Dream duet off the Canadian rapper’s 2010 debut Thank Me Later. Brown and Shebib would reunite on Lil Wayne’s “I’m Single” and again on “Mine,” Beyoncé’s own Drake duet from her 2013 self-titled album.

Brown’s last credited work as a producer was on Action Bronson’s 2015 LP Mr. Wonderful, though he continued to DJ at local bars and restaurants. “I hope people will remember that he was willing to help the younger generation,” his sister told NBC. “He was always big on helping younger people start their careers and get themselves into the game. It was about just the music, no matter who the artist was.”

Beyonce Hard Drives Stolen From Dancer’s Car Leads to Atlanta Arrest

by jummy84 September 16, 2025

The materials that the musician’s choreographer and dancer said were stolen from a Jeep Wagoneer rental in Atlanta during the Cowboy Carter tour have not been recovered

The Atlanta Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a car robbery in which hard drives containing unreleased music and tour plans from Beyoncé were reportedly stolen. The theft occurred when the Cowboy Carter tour arrived in the city for four dates in July. Choreographer Christopher Grant and singer Diandre Blue reported having two suitcases stolen from a Jeep Wagoneer rental, which contained “personal sensitive information for the musician Beyonce.”

The suspect, Kelvin Evans, was taken into custody and booked into the Fulton Country Jail on Aug. 26 and charged with Entering Automobile or Other Motor Vehicle With Intent to Commit Theft or Felony. Evans has not yet been released and the Atlanta Police Department reports that “the stolen items have not been recovered at this time.”

In a 911 call released by the Atlanta Police Department, Grant said, “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. I work with someone who’s like of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything. On July 15, about a week after the incident occurred, a representative for the police department noted that no camera footage pertaining to the theft would be released.

According to the call, Grant and Blue reported that the window to the trunk of the Wagoneer had been smashed. Light fingerprints were lifted from the scene, an incident report revealed, and auto larceny investigators flagged a vehicle in the area based on available information. An arrest warrant for a suspect was issued on July 14.

Despite the incident, the Cowboy Carter tour continued as planned. Beyoncé completed four sold-out shows at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The tour wrapped about two weeks later in Las Vegas. “The three hours of Beyoncé felt nonstop as she ran through almost the entirety of Cowboy Carter during the set,” Rolling Stone wrote in a review of the tour opener. “Everything from the show seemed calculated and measured to perfection, leaving little space for Beyoncé to break from the plan. It was a theatrical spectacle that, once again, put Bey in a league of her own.”

Beyoncé & Jay-Z Face Backlash After Being Seated Near Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner During REFORM Gala

Social media is sounding off after Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted sitting with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner during REFORM Alliance’s Casino Night Gala.

The viral photo of Beyoncé smiling across the table from Trump sparked accusations that the power couple is aligning with MAGA elites.

Despite the backlash, the event raised $20 million for criminal justice reform. Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z have addressed the controversy.

Roommates, history is on the line at the 2025 VMAs. Today (Sept. 7), the MTV Video Music Awards returns with more than trophies at stake! Two music industry ICONS, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, are competing to become the most awarded artist in the award show’s history. Let’s get into what else viewers can expect from this year’s VMAs.

Who Is Hosting The 2025 VMAs & How Can I Watch?

On Sunday, LL Cool J will host the Video Music Awards, which will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern. CBS will broadcast the show for the first time ever, but it will also be simulcast on MTV. For those who prefer streaming, the VMAs will also be streamed on Paramount+ in the United States, per the Associated Press. MTV is holding the show at the UBS Arena on New York’s Long Island.

Who Will Reign Over MTV Moon Man History: Bey Or Tay?

This year, Lady Gaga tops the 2025 MTV Video Music Award nominations with 12, ending Taylor Swift’s two-year run in the top spot.

But it’s the ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ singer and the “Cowboy Carter” star who may make headlines. Currently, both powerhouses are tied for the title of most total VMAs in their careers. Taylor and Beyoncé have 30 each. They’re also only nominated in the artist of the year category at the 2025 VMAs. So, if one of them wins today, they will claim victory. It’s unclear whether Beyoncé or Taylor will attend the show.

If Swift wins, it would give her a prominent stage to give updates about her forthcoming 12th studio album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl.’ It’s set to be released on Oct. 3. Additionally, Taylor could use the spotlight to shout out her new fiancé, Travis Kelce. As previously reported, the pair announced their engagement late last month in a five-photo joint post on Instagram.

More Details About Special Honors & Performances

The late Ozzy Osbourne will be celebrated fittingly when some of rock’s biggest names take the stage in his honor. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, British firebrand YUNGBLUD and Nuno Bettencourt will unite to deliver a medley of Osbourne’s greatest hits. The tribute is meant to highlight his impact on generations of musicians.

Additionally, Mariah Carey will receive the 2025 Video Vanguard Award. Previous recipients include Katy Perry, Shakira, Beyoncé and Madonna.

Meanwhile, Busta Rhymes will receive the first-ever MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award during the show, and Ricky Martin will be honored with the inaugural Latin Icon Award. Both will perform.

Other performers will include Conan Gray, Tate McRae, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, Alex Warren, J Balvin, Sabrina Carpenter and sombr.
