Peacock has dropped the official trailer for “Bel-Air” Season 4, which is also the show’s final season.

In the trailer, Will (Jabari Banks) and Carlton (Olly Sholotan) prepare for life after high school, while it is confirmed that Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman) is pregnant, which was hinted at in the end of the show’s third season. The trailer also confirms that Snoop Dogg is set for a cameo in Season 4.

Watch the full trailer below.

The fourth season of “Bel-Air” will debut on Nov. 24 with its first three episodes. New episodes will drop weekly on Mondays with two episodes on December 1 and three episodes on December 8. It was reported that the show would be ending with Season 4 back in December 2024. The official description for Season 4 states:

“Will tries to balance the fun and excitement of senior year with the expectations that have brought him to this moment. Carlton tests his own resolve as he deals with the fallout of some very big decisions that could threaten his future. Together, both boys will help each other through this pivotal time in their lives. An unexpected power shift will threaten the brotherhood between Phil and Geoffrey, whose loyalties to the Banks family will be tested. Viv struggles with reinventing herself as she looks at motherhood from a different perspective. It’s Ashley’s freshman year in high school and she’s working through a rebellious phase but quickly learns that the status quo may no longer serve her. Hilary goes on a journey of self-exploration.”

The cast of the show includes Banks as Will, Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Freeman as Vivian Banks, Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa. Coco Jones, Akbar, Jordan L. Jones, and Joy Jones are recurring guest stars.

The series is inspired by a viral video created by Morgan Cooper that reimagined the sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” as a drama series.

Carla Banks Waddles serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the series. Cooper is also an executive producer and director on the series. Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, and Andy & Susan Borowitz all serve as executive producers. David Boorstein, Des Moran, Shukree Tilghman, Felicia Pride are co-executive producers, with Nick Copus, Keesha Sharp, and Tina Mabry directing multiple episodes alongside Cooper. The series is produced by Universal Television and Westbrook Studios, a division of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s media company Westbrook Inc.

The Belair Lip Bombs Are Ready to Explode

by jummy84 November 2, 2025

Pulling back the curtain for a moment, one of the perks of reviewing albums is that when you fall in love with a new album, you have an outlet to shout about it. But sometimes it’s a double-edged sword, as writing a review also forces you to put into words why you love an album beyond, “It’s awesome. You should listen to it.”

I share this because my immediate reaction to hearing the Belair Lip Bombs sophomore album Again is simply: It’s awesome. You should listen to it.

A big reason for this is that Again is a big tent, crowd-pleasing album that I could recommend to just about anybody. You don’t get indie rock with this kind of wide appeal all that often these days. Many artists (understandably) play to their niche, their genre. The Belair Lip Bombs seemed to be playing that game too, on their 2023 album, Lush Life. It’s a solid debut, full of hooky songs with earnest vocals, but it’s also squarely post-punk. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Many great bands have long, fantastic discographies solely in that lane.

But Again finds the Belair Lip Bombs ditching genre allegiances to create songs that, frankly, would’ve been alternative and even mainstream radio hits in the 1990s. This is Buzz Bin rock for 2025. They still have their established propulsive rhythms and angular riffs, and now have added shimmering guitars, soaring vocals, and joyous melodies that you’ll be bopping to in your head for days afterwards.

Put all together, the songs feel like new old friends. You recognize elements, but the band isn’t aping any one particular artist or era. Like the song “If You’ve Got the Time” feels like if Sheryl Crow and the Beths collaborated on a summertime anthem, down to the post-chorus handclaps. “Back Of My Hand” is a jangly, rolling Waxahatchee-esque love song that—spoiler—goes on to feature crunchy Weezer guitars. It’s refreshing to hear an indie rock band that’s not afraid to go this big and inviting, and it’s great that they’re able to do so on their new label, Jack White’s Third Man Records. Hopefully it’s the right fit for such ambitions.

The Belair Lip Bombs’ new album Again.

At the same time, the band keeps Again from ever feeling like a calculated major label sell-out album—a real danger for Buzz Bin bands!—thanks to the open-hearted yearning of lead singer Maisie Everett. Her melodic vocals keep the songs honest and grounded at all times, whether it’s a powerpop look at the ex you can’t shake (“Cinema”), an expansive new wave take on what could’ve been (“Another World”), or even a cathartic rocker like “Don’t Let Them Tell You (It’s Fair).” Her voice keeps these songs feeling equally ready for both your headphones and an outdoor amphitheater, or even an arena. Here’s hoping the band gets that chance. Again shows the Belair Lip Bombs finding their voice, and they know it. You can hear their bold, bright confidence on these songs. So one more time: It’s awesome. You should listen to it.

‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Child Star Was 42

Floyd Roger Myers Jr., the former child actor who appeared on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died. He was 42.

The actor died from a heart attack on Wednesday morning at his home in Maryland, his mother Renee Trice told TMZ after her son previously survived three heart attacks in the last three years.

After making his onscreen debut as Young Will in 1992 episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Myers went on to play Marlon Jackson that year in the ABC limited series The Jacksons: An American Dream, also starring Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams and Billy Dee Williams.

Myers’ last on-screen appearance was in a 2000 episode of The WB’s short-lived teen soap Young Americans.

Since his time as a child actor, Myers co-founded the nonprofit Fellaship Men’s Group, focusing on men’s mental health. The organization paid tribute to Myers on Wednesday.

“RIP to our good brother @rocwonder one of our co founders. Gone but never will be forgotten,” they wrote on Instagram. “The mission will continue in your honor. Next mens meeting will be one for the books like we talked about! Love you bro, rest easy, big bro will take it from here.”

Janet Hubert To Join ‘Bel-Air’ Cast For The Series’ Final Season

In a moment that brings the story full circle, Janet Hubert—the original Aunt Viv from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air—is set to join the cast of Bel-Air for its fourth and final season on Peacock.

According to Deadline, Hubert will play a new character that Hilary (played by Coco Jones) meets and becomes a mentor and confidant to, adding depth to Hilary’s journey and bridging generations of strong Black female characters.

Her return marks a significant milestone, as Hubert famously departed the original sitcom midway through its six-season run. Now, more than three decades later, her participation in Bel-Air closes a powerful chapter in television history, uniting the show’s legacy with its bold reimagining.

Hubert’s addition makes her the sixth OG cast member to appear in the reboot, joining Daphne Maxwell Reid, Vernee Watson-Johnson, Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, and Tyra Banks—who will also appear this season.

Also joining the cast is Caroline Chikezie (Power Book II: Ghost), who will play Dominique Warren, the head of Geoffrey’s (Jimmy Akingbola) former London gang — a role that intertwine with her British background. (Fun fact: the actor portraying the new Uncle Phil is Chikezie’s real-life husband.)
