“They end up clashing here – soul to soul… I thought of it as a love scene as we filmed it.” ⚔️ Netflix has debuted a making of promo video for the badass Japanese action series called Last Samurai Standing, which is now streaming on Netflix already. Based on the manga of the same name, it’s about a vicious battle between nearly 300 samurai warriors in Kyoto back in the late 19th century. Shujiro enters a deadly game where points are earned for each kill. During the Meiji period, 292 warriors, including Shujiro Saga, gather at the Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto at nightfall, lured by the promise of a cash prize. Under the veil of night, the temple is filled with unease & the presence of bloodthirsy warriors. When the signal is given to begin the game, the combatants launch into their relentless battle. It’s packed with incredible fight scenes! Starring Junichi Okada, Yumia Fujisaki, Kaya Kiyohara, Hiroshi Tamaki, Hideaki Itō, Gaku Hamada, Hiroshi Abe. The full trailer for this debuted back in October just before it launched to watch. This most recent behind-the-scenes video focuses on a fight filled with fire & fireworks between actors Junichi Okada & Hideaki. “This fight was choreographed to deliberately show their hearts colliding with one another.” Aw.

Here’s the behind-the-scenes promo for Netflix’s action series Last Samurai Standing, from YouTube:

Each given a wooden tag, they join a vicious game in which they must steal the tags of their fellow participants and reach Tokyo to win the prize money. Under the veil of night, the temple grounds are filled with unease and the presence of bloodthirsy warriors. When the signal is given to begin the game – the combatants launch into their relentless battle for survival. Last Samurai Standing, also titled イクサガミ in Japanese, is a series created & written & directed by Kento Yamaguchi (Tokyo City Girl, Dependence, “Our Fake Marriage”) & Michihito Fujii (The Last 10 Days, Village, Hard Days, The Parades, Shoutai). “You go through the world like a general, but you don’t have an army.” Netflix has debuted an extensive 5 minute behind-the-scenes featurette for Richard Linklater’s fantastic experimental indie creation Nouvelle Vague, a look back at the French New Wave in the 1960s & Jean-Luc Godard’s first film Breathless. This excellent homage to cinema is already playing on Netflix – it’s streaming now (view here). This tells the story of Godard making Breathless, told in the same style & spirit in which Godard made Breathless 65 years ago. In order to keep with the spirit of the French New Wave, the young French actors are all newcomers. For example, while he plays the key part of Jean-Luc Godard, it’s the first feature film of Guillaume Marbeck. The cast includes Zoey Deutch as Jean Seberg, Aubry Dullin as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Paolo Luka Noé, Alix Bénézech, and Jade Phan-Gia. In this Netflix promo video, director Richard Linklater, actress Zoey Deutch, casting director Stéphane Batut, and the rest of the film’s cast take us inside what it took to cast Nouvelle Vague and how the film paid tribute to Jean Luc Godard’s iconic film and all the trailblazers of the “New Wave”. Truly impressive how they pulled this off & how he found these actors who look just like them.

Here’s the casting featurette for Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague, direct from Netflix’s YouTube:

Un film de Richard Linklater. This is the story of Godard making Breathless, told in the style and spirit in which Godard made Breathless in 1960. Nouvelle Vague, also known as New Wave in English, is directed by the acclaimed American filmmaker Richard Linklater, director of many great films including Slacker, Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise & Sunset & Midnight, SubUrbia, The Newton Boys, Waking Life, Tape, School of Rock, Bad News Bears, Fast Food Nation, A Scanner Darkly, Me and Orson Welles, Bernie, Boyhood, Everybody Wants Some!!, Last Flag Flying, Where’d You Go Bernadette, Apollo 10½, and Hit Man previously, along with Blue Moon also this year (which premiered at Berlinale). The screenplay is by Vince Palmo, Michèle Halberstadt, Laetitia Masson, and Holly Gent. It’s produced by Michèle Halberstadt & Laurent Pétin. It premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year (read our review) playing at TIFF & NYFF next. Netflix will release Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague in select US theaters on October 31st, 2025, then streaming on Netflix starting November 14th, 2025 – it’s ready now. Have you watched yet?

“I know what I’m talking about! Give me what I want!” Studiocanal has revealed their official UK trailer for the making of documentary film titled Megadoc, made by director Mike Figgis. This mega documentary is somewhat like the Hearts of Darkness (which was a look at Coppola’s troubled Apocalypse Now set) for Megalopolis, which opened in theaters last year. The only problem is that Megalopolis not only flopped big time, but no one really cares about it anymore. This Megadoc look at the chaos of filmmaking features appearances by Francis Ford Coppola (but of course!), Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Nathalie Emmanuel, Dustin Hoffman, Giancarlo Esposito, Chloe Fineman, Shia LaBeouf, Laurence Fishburne, Jon Voight, Talia Shire, Robert De Niro, and more. It originally premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival & Telluride Film Festival this year and already opened in the US back in September – you can watch it on VOD now. This is the best trailer yet, more than enough to convince anyone to give it a look – just to see how Coppola might’ve really lead this movie astray. “Who cares if you die broke if you made something that you think is beautiful.”

Here’s the new UK trailer (+ poster) for Mike Figgis’ making of doc film Megadoc, direct from YouTube:

Megadoc Trailer

Megadoc Trailer

You can rewatch the official US trailer for Mike Figgis’ Megadoc film right here or the initial teaser again.

This September: A raw, fly-on-the-wall documentary about Francis Ford Coppola’s decades-long journey in creating his self-financed passion project, Megalopolis. The bold and unrelenting epic returns in Mike Figgis’ compelling portrait of Coppola’s creative process – weaving together archival material, unfiltered cast interviews, and a close-up view of how the legendary filmmaker drew from Roman history, political allegory, and his own singular vision to shape the world of Megalopolis. This isn’t a record of a production on the brink, it’s a personal memoir unfolding in real time. Megadoc is directed by British indie filmmaker Mike Figgis, director of many films including Stormy Monday, Internal Affairs, Mr. Jones, The Browning Version, Leaving Las Vegas, One Night Stand, Miss Julie, Timecode, Hotel, Cold Creek Manor, Love Live Long, Suspension of Disbelief, and Somebody Up There Likes Me previously. Produced by Tara Li-An and James Mockoski. This first premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival this fall. Utopia debuted Megadoc in select US theaters on September 19th, 2025. Now streaming on CANAL+ in France & soon elsewhere.

Sabrina Carpenter Teases Tonight’s ‘SNL’ in Behind-the-Scenes Photos

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

With just hours to go until Sabrina Carpenter takes over SNL, the singer reminded fans to tune with an Instagram post full of backstage snapshots.

“TONIGHT,” Carpenter captioned her photo post, tagging @nbcsnl and topping it off with a red lips emoji.

The pics give viewers a glimpse at her dressing room and outfit options. There’s also a peek at what looks to be a table read or writing session, and at the actual cue card that was used filming this week’s promo spot — all at SNL‘s 30 Rock headquarters in New York City.

Saturday night (Oct. 18) marks Carpenter’s first time hosting SNL, and her return as musical guest. The “Manchild” hitmaker performed during a May 2024 episode and was featured on February 2025’s SNL50 special, for which she sang a duet with Paul Simon and co-starred in one of Marcello Hernandez’s “Domingo” sketches. (She’d already had a run-in with Domingo at one of her concerts on the Short n’ Sweet Tour, during her “Juno” bit; he was the crowd member arrested for being too hot at a Los Angeles stop.)

With a background in sitcoms, plenty of experience on the live stage and a knack for penning punchy song lyrics, Carpenter is primed to let her comedic side shine Saturday night.

As musical guest she’s promoting her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, which made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August.

“We wanted to be sure to give people a big screen experience that would be absolutely insane.” Yes, please! 20th Century has revealed a behind-the-scenes promo featurette for Predator: Badlands directed by Dan Trachtenberg. This is the next exciting Predator movie follow-up to the hit Prey from 2022, being released IN theaters this November! After two full trailers before this, finally a look at them filming on set and also the practical FX + man-in-suit Predator design. The director of Prey welcomes you to a world of hurt. Set on a remote planet, a young Yautja outcast from his clan finds an unlikely ally on his journey in search of the ultimate adversary. Co-starring Elle Fanning as an android + Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the young predator who must confront an apex predator. So glad to see and hear from Trachtenberg as he is filming this. And I’m glad they’re doing as much as possible for real, on location in the wild, shooting with an actual guy wearing a Predator suit, before they use CGI to fill in the rest of the action. Yep this is going to be awesome! The more they show from this, the more pumped I am to head right into the theater and watch.

Here’s the making of featurette (+ poster) for Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands, from YouTube:

Predator: Badlands is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg, director of the films 10 Cloverfield Lane and Prey previously, the upcoming Predator: Killer of Killers animated movie, episodes of “Black Mirror” and “The Boys”, plus many other shorts. The screenplay is written by Dan Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison. Based on characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. Produced by John Davis, Dan Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, Brent O’Connor. 20th Century releases Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands movie in theaters (huzzah!!) nationwide starting on November 7th, 2025 this fall. “Filmmaking doesn’t get much bigger than this… This is the way Mortal Kombat is meant to be seen.” WB has unveiled a quick making of featurette during New York Comic-Con for action sequel Mortal Kombat II (MK2), based on the popular video game series. This is a follow-up to the most recent live-action Mortal Kombat movie in 2021, returning again for another martial arts showdown. Fan fave champions—joined by Johnny Cage himself—are pitted against one another in the ultimate, no-holds barred, gory battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders. Let them fight! “We had up the ante on every aspect,” says the actor playing Shao Kahn. Karl Urban stars as Johnny Cage (and his movie his movie Uncaged Fury), alongside Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, and Damon Herriman, with Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, & Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion. This is just a very short promo video – and a reminder they’ve delayed the release of this movie from October (it would be out now!) until May 2026 kicking off the summer season next year.

“The box is demanding things, and it gets more and more voracious…” Paramount+ has debuted a quick 2-minute making of featurette for the new horror creation called Vicious, the latest from filmmaker Bryan Bertino, creator of The Strangers franchise and director of a few other indie horror films as well. Vicious recently premiered at Fantastic Fest 2025 and will be streaming on Paramount+ to watch soon in October – starting tomorrow if anyone is ready to dive in. A woman spends the night fighting for her own existence as she slips down a rabbit hole contained inside a gift from a late-night visitor – some kind of mysteriously evil box. It comes with simple instructions if she wants to live – place three things inside: something you need, something you hate, and something you love. Starring Dakota Fanning as Polly and a creepy Kathryn Hunter, along with Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Devyn Nekoda, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell. This looks quite good, I dig the concept, looks freaky. It’s weird they’re not letting this play in theaters & leaving it to debut streaming? Either way – I’m definitely planning to watch the film once it’s out.

Here’s the behind-the-scenes promo for Bryan Bertino’s horror thriller Vicious, direct from YouTube:

You can watch the full official trailer for Bryan Bertino’s Vicious horror film right here for more footage.

When Polly (Dakota Fanning) receives a mysterious Box from an unexpected late-night visitor (Kathryn Hunter), it comes with a simple instruction: place three things inside: something you need, something you hate, and something you love. What begins as a strange ritual quickly unravels into a waking nightmare. Trapped in a terrifying world where reality bends and memory betrays, Polly must navigate a series of impossible choices. As time slips away, she’s forced to confront the darkness not just around her, but also within her—before it consumes everything and everyone she’s ever known. Vicious is written and directed by acclaimed American genre filmmaker Bryan Bertino, creator of The Strangers franchise, and a director of the films Mockingbird, The Monster, and The Dark and the Wicked previously. It’s produced by Richard Suckle. This is premiering at Fantastic Fest 2025 this month. Paramount will then debut Bertino’s Vicious movie streaming on Paramount+ starting October 10th, 2025 during the spooky season. Who’s intrigued?

Ram Charan’s Peddi: The Making Of A Grand Song Sequence In Pune – Behind-the-Scenes Fun! | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Ram Charan is all geared up to make his comeback to the big screen in his long-awaited movie Peddi, which has already generated a robust interest among audiences and industry professionals. Peddi, to be directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is set to feature Ram Charan in a never-before-seen form, blending mass entertainment, intense action, and emotional depth.

The second schedule of the movie will start on Thursday, October 10, in Pune. The team will be shooting an elaborate song sequence choreographed by the popular Jani Master, who is known for his dynamic and audience-pleasing dance sequences. The song will be a mass entertainer, and expectations from the film will go up once again.

Until now, nearly 60% of the shoot has been done, and the team has apparently locked the edit of the first half. The movie also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine, with a supporting cast comprising Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. Staged against a rural cricket tournament, Peddi is a sports action drama that revolves around the character of Peddi.

Supported by producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, the movie also has a strong musical composition by the iconic A.R. Rahman, which contributes to its cinematic value.

Also Read: A Father’s Pride! Chiranjeevi’s Touching Post for Ram Charan’s 18 Years in Cinema

On the other hand, Peddi has apparently bagged a big OTT contract. An earlier post this year had indicated that the digital rights were sold for a whopping ₹130 crore with an option for another ₹20 crore depending on box office collections. Though an official announcement has yet to come, the deal indicates the good buzz around the film in the market.

With expectations running sky-high and a great story, Peddi is turning out to be one of the most anticipated releases of Ram Charan’s career.

Behind-the-Scenes Drama – Hollywood Life

There’s no murder on the dance floor, but there’s reportedly drama. Multiple outlets have reported tension between the season 34 contestants and dance partners of Dancing With the Stars, and some online users claimed they’ve caught glimpses of it.

After the season kicked off in September 2025, a source told Daily Mail that season 34 has already “been a hard season for everyone, really. It’s not as joyful as other seasons.”

So, what’s going on between the current DWTS cast members? Hollywood Life breaks it all down below.

What’s Going on Between the DWTS Season 34 Cast?

According to Daily Mail‘s source, “There’s no magic this year, and it’s hard to pinpoint exactly why. We’ve had contestants before who are weird or who don’t try, or are controversial — that’s nothing new. But somehow, this mix isn’t working.”

Meanwhile, The Sun had a similar report. A production insider told the outlet there’s been “animosity” behind the scenes and that “tensions have been at an all-time high” since the beginning of season 34.

What’s Happening Between Val Chmerkovskiy & Alix Earle?

Val Chmerkovskiy and Alix Earle have not made any tension obvious, but Daily Mail reported that the pro dancer would have preferred a different partner.

“Danielle Fishel or Elaine Hendrix may not ultimately win, but they are having fun, and their partners are having fun with them,” an insider told the outlet. “And the pros always feel like those contestants are desirable. Danielle is likely the one who will go that far. And Val would have loved to be partnered with her.”

The source further claimed that Val and fellow dance pro Jenna Johnson “realize that, yes, not everyone gets an Olympic gymnast or skater, but it’s demoralizing when you get someone who isn’t going to try. So, they’re trying not to be poor sports, but this season has left a stain on them both.”

What Happened Between Corey Feldman & Jenna Johnson?

Multiple outlets reported that Corey Feldman was difficult for Jenna to work with. An insider told The Sun that he was “furious after the results were read” when he was eliminated.

“He felt completely let down by the whole experience and felt the producers overpromised things to him and didn’t hold up their end of the bargain,” the source said, adding that Corey allegedly “stormed off the set by himself and wouldn’t talk to anyone for awhile.”

However, the source stressed that Corey was “not mad at all at Jenna. He loved her even though she was frustrated with him. He feels let down by producers and the overall experience.”

What’s Going on Between Gleb Savchenko & Hilaria Baldwin?

There might be trouble on the dance floor between Gleb Savchenko and Hilaria Baldwin, Alec Baldwin‘s wife, but not because of any drama between them. Per Daily Mail, Gleb noticed that the public isn’t interested in Hilaria, which could result in them losing.

“After last week’s votes, it was shocking for him to learn that [Hilaria is] not everyone’s favorite,” a source told the outlet. “It just shows that it really doesn’t matter how good of a dancer you are — it’s all about the viewers’ votes. They decide who’s staying and who’s going home.”

Hilaria has also frustrated producers with her “difficult” behavior, according to The Sun.

“You want to honor all that, but you also want to find your own understanding…” 🎸 20th Century Studios has revealed a making of featurette for the movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, a look back at the early days of rock superstar Bruce Springsteen in the 80s creating his album called “Nebraska”. This rock ‘n roll musical biopic celebration will hit theaters nationwide in late October this fall. Inspired by the book of the same name, it follows Bruce Springsteen’s journey in creating and recording his 1982 album “Nebraska” in his Jersey bedroom, which emerged just as he was recording “Born in the USA” with the E Street Band. The film stars Jeremy Allen White as “The Boss”, Mr. Springsteen, and is written & directed by Scott Cooper. The cast also includes Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s long-time confidant & manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Bruce’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as his love interest, Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mom, Adele; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin; David Krumholtz as record exec Al Teller. This is a quick inside look at the filmmaking process – featuring Bruce himself providing his endorsement of JAW and his performance in it. View below.

Made by 20th Century Studios, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom (starring Jeremy Allen White as The Boss), struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Taped on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life & is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe. Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Scott Cooper, director of the films Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace, Black Mass, Hostiles, Antlers, and The Pale Blue Eye previously. The screenplay is also written by Scott Cooper, based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere” by Warren Zanes. It’s produced by Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson and Scott Stuber. 20th Century Studios will release Cooper’s Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere film in theaters nationwide starting on October 24th, 2025 this fall.
