It is official – Sidelined 2: Intercepted is hitting Tubi this Thanksgiving. The streamer confirmed to Teen Vogue that the sequel to Sidelined: The QB and Me will premiere on November 27, 2025, bringing Noah Beck and Siena Agudong back to lead the YA romance once again. The first Sidelined movie, based on Tay Marley’s Wattpad hit The QB Bad Boy and Me, became a breakout success for Tubi’s young audience.

Now, Sidelined 2: Intercepted picks up right where it left off, following star quarterback Drayton and dancer Dallas as their lives start to pull in different directions.

Sidelined 2: Intercepted- A new chapter for Drayton and Dallas

According to Teen Vogue, the sequel centers on Drayton – played again by Noah Beck – as he struggles to find his footing after a crushing setback threatens his future. Dallas, portrayed by Siena Agudong, is chasing her dance ambitions but starts to question what she truly wants.

“As their high school relationship begins to unravel under the pressures of distance and self-discovery, they’ll learn that the bravest versions of themselves emerge when they let life redirect them,” the official synopsis reads.

The story moves beyond teenage romance and into something more real – figuring out identity, ambition, and the cost of growing up.

Sidelined 2: Intercepted – Returning cast and new faces

The film brings back James Van Der Beek and Drew Ray Tanner, while introducing new additions like Roan Curtis and Charlie Gillespie. Gillespie joins as Skylar, a CalArts senior and musician who plays a key role in Dallas’s changing world.

Teen Vogue reveals that director Justin Wu will helm the sequel, with Crystal Ferreiro writing the script. Both Noah Beck and Siena Agudong have also stepped into executive producer roles this time around, expanding their creative input.

Alongside the movie, Tubi plans to stream the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Thanksgiving face-off in 4K – letting fans catch both their favorite football game and a love story built around the same spirit.

Neil Young, Beck, Lana Del Rey Team For Benefit Show

Neil Young is bringing back his Harvest Moon benefit concert at the Painted Turtle Camp in Lake Hughes, Ca., and will welcome Beck and Lana Del Rey for the 2025 edition on Oct. 25. Young launched the event in 2019 as the successor to his annual Bridge School Benefit concerts, which he organized with his late wife Pegi.

Proceeds from Harvest Moon benefit not only the Bridge School, which supports children with severe speech and physical disabilities, but the Painted Turtle, which offers “transformative camp experiences” for children with serious medical conditions.

Young will perform with his band the Chrome Hearts, while marima ensemble Masanga will reprise their role as the first act of the day. Tickets are on sale now.

“This gathering, where music, nature and purpose come together, is a powerful celebration of hope and community,” says Painted Turtle executive director April Tani. “It’s an opportunity for all of us to support two extraordinary organizations making a real difference in children’s lives.”

Previous Harvest Moon performers have included John Mayer, Father John Misty and Norah Jones. In 2024, Young was joined by former bandmate Stephen Stills for a set of solo, Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young songs.

Yard Act are working on their third album with former Nine Inch Nails and Beck bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen

Yard Act have revealed that they are currently in the studio working on their third album with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen.

The Leeds band released their second record ‘Where’s My Utopia?’ in March 2024 and have been touring steadily in the time since, but now they have confirmed that they are working in Nave Studio in their hometown on their next LP.

Posting on Instagram this week, they wrote: “Hello from @nave_studios, where we’re making the greatest third album any band has ever recorded, with our new pal @justinmeldaljohnsen.”

They also made reference to BBC Radio 6 Music’s ‘T-Shirt Day’ celebration of vintage artist tees, showing off their respective Kurt Vile, Bad Brains, Napalm Death, Nuha Ruby Ra and Bill Nelson t-shirts. “YALP3 will be the sweet spot between Napalm Death and Bill Nelson,” they quipped.

Yard Act co-produced ‘Where’s My Utopia?’ with Remi Kabaka Jr, who is best known as the drummer and producer for Gorillaz, but as they have revealed, this time around they are working alongside Meldal-Johnsen.

The American musician and producer served as the musical director for Beck from 1996 until 2016 and played as a touring bassist, guitarist and keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails in 2008 and 2009. He has also worked as a musical director for St. Vincent since 2021 and in 2023, he resumed touring with Beck.

As a producer, he has worked on a number of high profile projects, including M83’s ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ (2011), Wolf Alice’s ‘Visions Of A Life’ (2017), Deafheaven’s ‘Infinite Granite’ (2021) and St. Vincent’s ‘All Born Screaming’ (2024).

Before the end of the year, Yard Act will serve as the opening act on The Hives’ UK and European tour, which kicks off in Oslo on October 17 and includes shows in Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London at the end of November. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

In a four-star review of ‘Where’s My Utopia?’, NME wrote: “In between samples from their comedy pals – standups Nish Kumar and Rose Matafeo – and references to all sorts of uniquely British phenomena: from ‘Fizzy Fish’ to Calpol and, er, Milton Keynes. Where’s My Utopia?’ marks an outlandish yet assertive second chapter for Yard Act, going toe-to-toe with the peculiar world that we find ourselves in.”
