Will ‘The Beast in Me’ Return for Season 2? Cast, Details, More Updates

by jummy84 November 2, 2025

What To Know

  • The Beast in Me is a Netflix thriller about an author investigating her enigmatic neighbor, a suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
  • Starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, the series is billed as a limited series with no official renewal for Season 2.
  • All eight episodes of the first season will be released on Netflix on November 13.

Something tells us we’re going to want to see more from Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys‘ cat-and-mouse game in the new Netflix thriller, The Beast in Me, after the first season, which premieres in November.

Danes’ Aggie is an author who begins looking into Rhys’ Nile for her next book — he’s been accused of being behind his wife’s disappearance. Both are “the best at what they do,” showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon previously told TV Insider. “They recognize in each other a kind of excellence, and it’s a kind of excellence that is a lonely excellence, really. …They’re both clever. They’re both alone. And the fact that they find each other in this improbable situation, I think, is what really gives it an extra dimension — aside from the sort of plot machinations and the cat and mouse of it all.” Doesn’t that sound like something you’d like to see across multiple seasons?

But will there be a Beast in Me Season 2? Read on for everything we know.

Is The Beast in Me renewed for Season 2?

No. The Beast in Me is billed as a limited series, which would suggest it won’t be back for a second season. However, other shows have been billed as such — including Untamed, also on Netflix — and returned for more.

When TV Insider asked Gordon about the possibility of another season, he told us, “The short answer is I would say, sure. … I think there probably is a story there.”

When is The Beast in Me premiere date?

All eight episodes of The Beast in Me Season 1 will be available to stream on Thursday, November 13, on Netflix.

Who’s in The Beast in Me cast?

In addition to Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, the series stars Brittany Snow and Natalie Morales. Guest stars include Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deirdre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, and Julie Ann Emery.

Howard Gordon is showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Gabe Rotter is creator, writer, and executive producer. Also serving as executive producers are Danes; Antonio Campos (who is also the director); Daniel Pearle; Conan O’Brien, Jeff Ross, and David Kissinger for Conaco; Caroline Baron; and Jodie Foster. The series is written by Gabe Rotter (101 and 102), Erika Sheffer (103), C.A. Johnson (104), Daniel Pearle (101, 105, 108), Ali Liebegott (106), Mike Skerrett (107), and Howard Gordon (108).

What is The Beast in Me about?

According to Netflix, “Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes) has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”

“Spending all that time with a possible murderer doesn’t scare you?” It should! Another unsettling shocker series to watch. Netflix has debuted the main official trailer for another brand new series titled The Beast in Me, a crime thriller following a woman investigating her neighbor. Set to launch on Netflix in November. From the creators of “Homeland” comes another tricky new series. Author Aggie Wiggs, grieving her the loss of her son, finds new purpose unraveling the mystery behind neighbor Nile Sheldon’s vanished wife and his suspicious dealings. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat & mouse that might turn deadly. Surprise, surprise. The series stars Claire Danes, Matthew Rhys, Brittany Snow, & Natalie Morales. With Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deidre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, & Julie Ann Emery. “The title of the series comes from a Johnny Cash song — but it’s not as simple as it might initially seem. It really is about all of our complicity.” So he’s some kind of Dexter killer (maybe?) but there’s more explaining how we’re all complicit, right? Intriguing…

“We are, all of us, drawn to monsters… We flirt with death to prove we’re truly alive. And if we can’t stop, then that small fire we lit might just burn the whole house down… with us still inside.” One helluva quote to start with! Netflix has revealed a first look teaser trailer for a new series titled The Beast in Me, a crime thriller following a woman investigating her neighbor. This is set to launch on Netflix in November this fall. Interesting… Starring Claire Danes, Matthew Rhys, Brittany Snow, & Natalie Morales. Also with Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deidre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, Julie Ann Emery. This looks compelling! Lots of secrets hidden within.

Here’s the teaser for Gabe Rotter & Howard Gordon’s series The Beast in Me, from Netflix’s YouTube:

“The title of the series comes from a Johnny Cash song — but it’s not as simple as it might initially seem. It really is about all of our complicity. Whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Amanda Knox or Nile Jarvis or whatever, sometimes we are quick to make assumptions. But when we are forced to look at it from another angle, do we have the humility and the compassion to listen and to revise the narrative?” –Showrunner Howard Gordon

Did Mr. Beast Buy NFL? YouTube Video Explained

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Will Taylor Swift Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show? NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Says…

It looks like Mr. Beast didn’t actually take his sports purchase to the endzone.

The YouTuber—real name Jimmy Donaldson—raised eyebrows when he uploaded a video titled “I bought the NFL,” in which he and the organization’s commissioner Roger Goodell spoke at a press conference announcing the news.

“Today marks an historic first,” Goodell said in the clip shared to YouTube Sept. 3. “The NFL is now under the ownership of one individual, Jimmy Donaldson, Mr. Beast.”

And Mr. Beast reiterated the update when he took the podium shortly after, saying, “That is right, I officially own the NFL.”

“I think it’s time for some changes,” he continued. “So, for my very first change, we are going to be changing the roster from 53 players to 54, and giving that new roster spot to a YouTuber.”

The video then cut to several YouTubers such as Haley Baylee, iShowSpeed, Dude Perfect and Brooke Monk being drafted to various NFL teams and attending the squads’ training camps.

Australian WWII Soldiers + Sharks Movie ‘Beast of War’ Official Trailer

“There’s dozens of dead bodies out there for it to munch on.” Well Go USA has revealed the official trailer for a shark movie called Beast of War, a WWII thriller from Australia about soldiers on a ship. From Kiah Roache-Turner, director of Wyrmwood and Sting, comes this uniquely terrifying tale. Set for a US release starting in October including on VOD right away. Based on true events about a warship carrying hundreds of Australian soldiers across the Timor Sea to the frontline of WWII. A group of young soldiers, fresh out of boot camp, find themselves stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean after their ship is sunk. They must battle for their lives against a giant, very hungry great white shark. The cast features Mark Coles Smith, Joel Nankervis, Maximillian Johnson, Lee Tiger Halley, Sam Parsonson, Tristan McKinnon, & Sam Delich. This still looks a lot like almost every other shark movie. At least it seems they built a gigantic practical shark to use for filming, which looks much better than most of the CGI sharks in movie these days.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Kiah Roache-Turner’s film Beast of War, direct from YouTube:

Beast of War Poster

When their boat is sunk while crossing the Timor Sea during World War II, a young troop of Australian soldiers must find a way to survive the harsh seas on a quickly shrinking life raft. Hundreds of miles from anywhere, they must confront interpersonal conflicts, enemy attacks, and the advances of one very large, very hungry great white shark. Beast of War is written and directed by Australian genre filmmaker Kiah Roache-Turner, director of the films Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead & Wyrmwood: Apocalypse, Sting, and Nekrotronic previously, as well as a few other shorts. Produced by Chris Brown and Blake Northfield. This initially premiered at the 2025 Melbourne Film Festival in Australia a few months back. Well Go USA will debut Beast of War in select US theaters + on VOD starting October 10th, 2025 this fall. Look scary?
