Ex-Inmate Claims Knife Attack Against Diddy Stemmed From Argument Over A Chair &
“Basketball Wives”

We’re getting more insight into what reportedly went down when Sean “Diddy” Combs was nearly attacked behind bars.

Raymond Castillo, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, spoke out to clarify reports that Diddy woke up to a homemade knife at his throat. “He didn’t ‘wake up’ to no knife to his neck,” Castillo said. “And I was the one who intervened.” According to Castillo, the incident wasn’t a planned attack but rather a dispute that started over a chair and the TV. Castillo claimed a #WestCoast gang member serving a 30-year sentence wanted Diddy to give up the seat he was using while watching #BasketballWives.
_____________

“The guy got hostile… maybe looking for clout,” Castillo explained. “Diddy didn’t flinch. He stayed calm, told him, ‘Why you coming at me like that over a chair that don’t belong to none of us?’” Castillo said the inmate then pulled out a handmade knife, but he managed to grab the man’s arm before anyone got hurt. “Diddy just got up and told him, ‘You might need to pray,’” Castillo added. “He tried to calm the guy down and even offered to pray with him. I’ve never seen anyone handle it like that.”
_____________

#Diddy’s friend touched on the alleged attack earlier this month, claiming it was meant as a warning rather than a m8rder attempt.“It was probably a way to say: ‘Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky’… Everything is intimidation.” He added, “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came. I just know that it happened.”

Paige Bueckers Will Reportedly Star in a Movie About a Women’s Basketball Rivalry

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Paige Bueckers’ off-season is heating up—and we’re not just talking about the WNBA superstar’s upcoming debut in Unrivaled, the player-owned three-on-three league based in Miami.

On October 29, Deadline reported that the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year is set to star in Jess & Pearl, a sports movie developed by Apple Original Films. Though Apple did not comment on the report, Deadline’s sources claim the project is “set in the world of women’s basketball” and based off an original idea by Scandal writer and producer Zahir McGhee. Bueckers will reportedly serve as an executive producer as well.

Here’s everything we know about Paige Bueckers’ upcoming Hollywood debut.

The WNBA Needs Every One of These Faces

As the internet argued over the “face of the league,” the women of the WNBA were coming together to fight for fair pay and a say in their future. These five athletes—and 2025 Glamour Women of the Year—represent the real draw of the WNBA: its players.

What is Jess & Pearl?

So far, all we have is this brief description provided by Deadline: “Set in the world of women’s basketball, the film follows two phenoms who forge an extraordinary bond as teammates until fame, competition, and the ruthless business of college athletics threaten to turn their friendship into an epic rivalry.”

When is Jess & Pearl coming out?

So far, no release date has been set or announced.

Who is involved behind-the-scenes?

UConn alum and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers will reportedly serve as an executive producer, while David Bernad (The White Lotus) has reportedly signed on to produce the project through his company, Middle Child Pictures. Lindsay Kagawa Colas, who recently served as executive producer on a documentary about WNBA legend Sue Bird, is allegedly on board to produce alongside producer Tommy Alter.

Who else is in the cast?

So far, no other names have been released, but I’m personally pulling for Bueckers’ fellow WNBA superstar Angel Reese, who recently made her own feature film debut in A House of Dynamite on Netflix. You know, right before she made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway debut as the first pro-athlete Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Though she only had a small role in the film, Reese told People she plans to continue acting and even hire an acting coach. “I was talking to Common—he’s overseas right now shooting season 2 of Silo—and he was telling me, ‘You got to hire an acting coach,” she said at A House of Dynamite’s New York Film Festival premiere on September 28. “I model already, so it’s like adding to the résumé. I’m young right now, so I’m going to do it while I’m young.”

Is LeBron James Retiring? Get the Latest on His Future in Basketball – Hollywood Life

Lebron James is once again at the center of retirement rumors, leaving NBA fans eager for answers about whether the basketball icon plans to step away from the game. As speculation grows amid his upcoming “second decision” announcement, LeBron has weighed his options for the future while continuing to make headlines both on and off the court.

Below, we’re breaking down everything we know so far about Lebron’s future in the NBA and what he said about retiring.

How Old Is Lebron James?

Lebron is 40 years old as of June 2025. He is the oldest active player in the NBA right now.

Lebron James’ Net Worth

As most NBA fans know, Lebron is the first active basketball player to become a billionaire. He currently has a net worth of $1.3 billion, according to Forbes.

Is Lebron James Retiring?

As of now, Lebron is not retiring. Despite speculation following the Lakers’ first-round playoff exit in April 2025, he chose to continue playing and opted into his $52.6 million player option for the 2025–26 season, which will be his 23rd year in the NBA.

Retirement talks still linger, though. In a viral clip from a June dinner in New York City, LeBron was overheard saying that his wife, Savannah, would like him to retire within the next year.

After the Lakers’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in April, LeBron was asked directly about his future. He told reporters, “I don’t know the answer to that right now, to be honest. So, we’ll see,” according to ESPN. He continued, “I don’t have an answer to that. It’s something I’ll sit down with my family, my wife, and my support group to talk through and see what happens. And just have a conversation with myself about how long I want to continue to play.”

Acknowledging the uncertain nature of the team’s future, he added, “You don’t know what the roster will look like next year besides the guys that are locked into contracts,” and admitted he has “a lot to think about” before making any decisions.

When Did Lebron James Start Playing Basketball?

Lebron previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010, followed by the Miami Heat until 2014. After returning to the Cavaliers in 2014, he played with the team until 2018 and has been with the Los Angeles Lakers ever since.

Carmelo Anthony Inducted Into Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame: Photos

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Carmelo Anthony has officially been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, cementing the former Olympian and NBA star as one of the greatest basketball players of the new millennium.

On Saturday (Sept. 6), Carmelo Anthony accepted the honor at the annual Hall of Fame ceremony, which took place at Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts. Fellow NBA legends Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade welcomed Anthony into the hall, with both players sharing their experiences competing with and playing alongside the Brooklyn native.

During his induction speech, Anthony reflected on his basketball journey, expressing gratitude to those who have inspired him and helped him along the way. At one point, he credited his children, son Kiyan Anthony, and daughter Genesis Anthony as being the driving forces in his life.

“Your father isn’t perfect, but he is proof that struggle doesn’t mean surrender,” Anthony said, speaking directly to them. “Proof that the road can be rough and still lead to glory.”

He continued, emotionally adding, “Raising children in this world is revolutionary. My kids saved me. They gave me a reason to move past ego, past noise, past criticism. They remind me that legacy isn’t what you leave behind, but what you lift up.”

A former high school standout and McDonald’s All-American, Anthony attended the University of Syracuse for one year, leading the program to their first NCAA basketball championship in the school’s history. Leaving Syracuse after his freshman year, the swingman was selected third overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2003 NBA Draft, quickly becoming one of the most electrifying talents in the league. Spending several years with the Nuggets, Carmelo was traded to the New York Knicks in 2011, where he helped lead the downtrodden franchise back to relevance.

Following his time with the Knicks, Anthony spent stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trailblazers, and Los Angeles Lakers before retiring in 2023. Considered one of the premier scorers of his era, Anthony’s accolades include three Olympic gold medals, ten NBA All-Star selections, and a league scoring title. He was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2021, an honor only bestowed upon those regarded among the greatest to have played the game.

‘Basketball Wives’ Star Brittany Renner Has Heated Custody Exchange w/ NBA Player PJ Washington: ‘Suck My D*ck’

Things turned nasty during a recent custody exchange between #BrittanyRenner and #PJWashington.

Footage making its rounds on the internet shows how things quickly went left when PJ arrived to pick up his son from Brittany. Before the #DallasMavericks player makes it down the front steps, Brittany confronts him about their son crying, as the toddler seemingly didn’t want to go. “Every time he does this, I’m going to record it,” Brittany tells PJ. “This is the third time he’s done it; he just doesn’t want to go with you,” she continues, “So, actually show up!”

Things only escalate from there, with Brittany and her mom following PJ to the car as he places the child in the backseat. “It’s up with me, just know that,” Renner says, to which PJ tells her to “suck d**k.” When Brittany’s mom enters the chat with “What you say?” PJ says, “I didn’t stutter…Suck my d**k.”

Brittany’s mother then accuses PJ of giving his “hoe” wife, Alisah Chanel, $170,000, while only putting $11,000 in his son’s bank account. Well, Alisah, who is sitting in the passenger seat during the crazy ordeal, quickly replies with, “Shut the f**k up!”

The recording ends before verbal threats turned physical.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber are taking their romance courtside.

Indeed, the couple stepped out for a PDA-packed outing at The League X Blem basketball tournament event, which the Grammy winner cohosted, in Los Angeles.

In photos from the Aug. 28 event, the two—who tied the knot in September 2018—could be seen enjoying the action from the sidelines while cuddling up and sipping on some drinks. They were even spotted sharing a few kisses during the big game.

For the occasion, the Rhode Beauty founder donned a white T-shirt, black leather jacket, wide-legged jeans, black flip-flops and a pair of chic oval glasses. Meanwhile, the “Daisies” singer sported a blue Skylrk jersey with a white tank underneath, red pants with black stripes and a striped beanie.

Evelyn Lozada Spills On ‘Basketball Wives’ Drama & More (VIDEO)

by jummy84 August 22, 2025
written by jummy84

On this episode of ‘Stepping Into The Shade Room,’ Evelyn Lozada sits down to talk everything from ‘Basketball Wives’ drama to the male rappers shooting their shots and everything in between. Additionally, Lozada even spills the tea on her daughter Shaniece Hairston’s relationship with The Game. And the viral scene from the latest season of ‘Basketball Wives’ involving Chantel and Jackie Christie. This, all while speaking with host Thembi.

The ‘Basketball Wives’ Star Shares Her Thoughts On Drama & Altercation Between Chantel & Jackie Christie

Kicking things off, Lozada got right into addressing the viral interaction between mother-and-daughter castmates, Jackie and Chantel Christie. Furthermore, Lozada explained that their viral altercation seems to be a result of “so much happen[ing] throughout the season with them two.”

“I can’t say I was surprised. I think I was crying more so because I was saddened,” Lozada told Thembi, reflecting on the close relationship that she has with her own daughter, Shaniece Hairston. “… It broke my heart because this is bigger than the show…”

As for those who feel like she and the other ladies instigated things between Jackie and her daughter, Lozada disagreed. Furthermore, she even explained that she personally urged Jackie to reach out and have an amicable, private conversation with Chantel prior to their viral altercation. Despite this, ultimately, Lozada explained that she wasn’t surprised things turned physical between the pair. However, she was surprised that Chantel Christie was the one who started the altercation.

“In the scene, she told us that her mom hit her,” Lozada reflected.

Evelyn Lozada Doubles Down On Comments About Relationship With Tiffney Cambridge

About thirty-two minutes into the conversation, Evelyn Lozada began to gush over becoming a grandmother to Hairston’s son, shared with The Game, Blaze. Lozada noted that she approves of Hairston’s connection with the rapper. Then, about 48 minutes into the sitdown, Thembi asked Lozada to set the record straight on her relationship with Tiffney Cambridge, one of the mothers of The Game’s older children.

“It’s a lie that took on a life of its own,” Lozada explained, referring to rumors that she and Cambridge had a friendship prior to her daughter’s romance with The Game.
