The much-awaited Season 3 of The Family Man is finally here! The popular spy-thriller series, starring Manoj Bajpayee as intelligence officer Srikant Tiwari, will premiere on Prime Video starting November 21st. The trailer, released on Friday, November 7th, has already taken social media by storm, leaving fans excited for what promises to be the most intense season yet. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he said, “When I was at an age where I needed inspiration, Manoj Bajpayee was there. He had an era of his own with films like Satya that left a deep impact on us. While Shah Rukh Khan was also doing something different within commercial films, Manoj ji was taking on realistic and unconventional roles. That really inspired me. At a time when I was feeling low, Manoj sir felt like a shining beacon of hope. His long career and continued passion for acting even today are something I admire a lot.”

Gulshan also praised Irrfan Khan for his unique style and fearless choices. He said, “Irrfan was truly versatile. He brought variety into his roles without changing who he was to please others. He had confidence in his talent and didn’t try to fit in. Sometimes, you can just feel that strong self-belief in people. I also enjoy doing different kinds of roles, and working with different people helps me grow as an actor. You realise that, ‘Oh, I can do this too!’”

Darshan Kumaar Hints At Family Man 3 Releasing Soon

When asked to share an update on Family Man Season 3, Darshan Kumaar responded, “Bahut jald. Shoot complete ho chuka hai, dubbing bhi complete ho chuki hai aur I think do mahine ke andar sab ready ho jayega.”

Speaking further about his projects this year, the actor said, “I think so, because abhi yeh Bengal Files hai 5th ko. Phir ek-do mahine ke andar jo bhi plan karenge Amazon aur D.K., Raj sir — woh Family Man hai. Aur shayad year end tak jo main abhi film karke aaya hoon, Tia, ek suspense-thriller film hai. Bahut hi kam cast ke saath, aur bahut hi impactful film hai.”

Manoj Bajpayee returns as the ever-conflicted Srikant Tiwari in Season 3 of The Family Man. While plot details remain tightly guarded, it’s speculated that the new chapter will dive into geopolitics in the Northeast. The creators, Raj & DK, are known for their sharp storytelling. If Helen of Troy’s face was the one that launched a thousand ships, then Manoj Bajpayee’s is the one that can make you believe the impossible. Give him a script and he’ll have you convinced that aliens are running the local paan shop, and you would still be first in line to try it.

Inspector Zende review: Manoj Bajpayee stars as the titular character.

Inspector Zende comes across as a distant cousin of Manoj’s Srikant Tiwari from The Family Man, perhaps because the territory feels so familiar to him. The story follows the titular protagonist on his mission to catch murderer Carl Bhojraj (obviously Charles Sobhraj), with the pursuit unfolding as a quirky comedy.

Written and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, the film plays out like a classic snake-and-mongoose battle, which is exactly how Zende himself frames it. It is based on real-life cop Madhukar Zende, who caught Charles not once but twice, a story that almost demanded a big-screen retelling. And what might look like cinematic exaggeration often turns out to be fact: Zende really did have two policemen sit on Charles during the train ride from Goa to Mumbai after his arrest!

The tone remains light. The squad of cops surrounding Manoj is as eccentric as he is, each with a quirk that marks them out. The gravity of Charles’s crimes, which earned him the nickname Bikini Killer, never disappears, but the film lets humour stand front and centre.

Where the film stumbles is in its pacing. The constant chase eventually wears you down, and after a point, you begin to wonder about the purpose of it all. The predictability does not help either, draining some of the energy from an otherwise lively setup.

In the performance department, Manoj Bajpayee plays Zende with his trademark conviction, blending charm into the role. Jim Sarbh looks every bit the suave Carl and nails the accent, bringing a touch of menace beneath the polish. Bhalchandra Kasam fits the role of Zende’s sidekick with ease, while Sachin Khedekar, though in a smaller part, leaves the right impression.

Overall, Inspector Zende is an engaging watch in parts, lifted by Manoj Bajpayee’s steady presence and a cast that rises to the occasion. Yet the repetition in storytelling keeps it from reaching the heights its premise promised. At three stars, this is a serviceable thriller with a humorous streak, more enjoyable for its performances than its plot.

Anurag Kashyap and Guneet Monga to Present Manoj Bajpayee’s Jugnuma

Manoj Bajpayee is all set to headline the upcoming feature Jugnuma, whose English title is The Fable. Director Ram Reddy will be helming the project, making it his second feature directorial. He had earlier directed the 2016 Kannada National Award-winning debut Thithi.

Jugnuma had successful premieres across film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival and won the Best Film at Leeds International Film Festival and Special Jury Prize at Mami Mumbai Film Festival. Now, the makers have announced the India release date as well. Jugnuma will hit the big screen on September 12 and it will be presented by Guneet Monga Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap, who have come onboard as executive producers.

Set in the late 80s, the film follows Dev (Bajpayee), who discovers mysteriously burnt trees in his sprawling estate of fruit orchards nestled in the Indian Himalayas. In spite of all efforts, more fires break out, leading him to see himself and his family for who they truly are. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose and Tillotma Shome, among others.

“I had loved Raam’s Thithi, which was so rooted and genuine, and with Jugnuma, he has created a film that feels timeless,” Anurag Kashyap said in a statement. The filmmaker, who 0has previously collaborated with Bajpayee on the game-changing two-part epic Gangs of Wasseypur called his act in the film “unlike anything” the audience has seen before.
