The full list of performers and presenters for the 2025 MAMA Awards have been revealed – see all the details below.

This year’s edition of the annual K-pop wards is slated over two days in Hong Kong on November 28 and 29. Previously 10 acts were announced to perform over the course of the two days.

The original slate of performers for November 28 was ALPHA DRIVE ONE, BABYMONSTER, BOYNEXTDOOR, BUMSUP, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, IVE, MEOVV, Super Junior and TWS. The original announcement for day two’s (November 29) performers were: ALL DAY PROJECT, CORTIS, KickFlip, izna, Stray Kids, RIIZE and ZEROBASEONE.

Now, more acts have been announced to perform. Day one will now include i-dle, MIRROR, NCT WISH and TREASURE, while day two includes aespa, G-Dragon, IDID, JO1, KYOKA and Tomorrow X Together.

The presenters for this year’s awards have also been revealed: Go Youn Jung, Noh Sang Hyun, Roh Yoon Seo, Park Hyung Sik, Shin Seung Hun, Shin Ye Eun, Shin Hyun Ji, Arden Cho, Ahn Eun Jin, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Jun Young, Lee Jun Hyuk, Yim Si Wan, Jang Do Yeon, Jeon Yeo Been, Cho Sae Ho, Jo Yu Ri, Cho Han Gyeol, Ju Ji Hoon, Cha Joo Young, Choi Dae Hoon and Hyeri

Triple J Reveals 2025 J Awards Nominees

Triple J has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 J Awards, recognizing standout achievements across Australian music and kicking off Ausmusic Month programming throughout November.

Now in its 21st year, the J Awards highlight excellence in recorded music, live performance and video, as well as emerging talent via triple j Unearthed. This year’s nominees span five categories: Australian Album of the Year, Unearthed Artist of the Year, Double J Artist of the Year, Australian Music Video of the Year (presented by rage and triple j), and Australian Live Act of the Year.

The shortlist for Album of the Year includes DJANDJAY by Baker Boy, Deadbeat by Tame Impala, If That Makes Sense by Spacey Jane, Now Would Be A Good Time by Folk Bitch Trio, Look At Me Now by ONEFOUR, and Light hit my face like a straight right by Mallrat, among others. The list reflects a mix of charting acts and breakthrough names across hip-hop, indie rock, electronic and experimental pop.

In the Unearthed Artist of the Year category, Don West, Darcie Haven, Sam Alfred, Folk Bitch Trio, and PLAYLUNCH are all in the running. Meanwhile, punk outfit Amyl and the Sniffers lead the Double J Artist of the Year field alongside Paul Kelly, Gordi, Meg Washington, and Emily Wurramara.

On the visual side, five acts are nominated for Music Video of the Year, including Ninajirachi’s “Fuck My Computer,” RONA.’s “Show Me” and Ecca Vandal’s “CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE.”

Triple J also named four nominees for Australian Live Act of the Year: Amyl and the Sniffers, Ball Park Music, Miss Kaninna and hardcore group SPEED.

Winners will be revealed on Wednesday, Nov. 12, starting at 3:30 p.m. AEDT, following deliberation by music and on-air teams across triple j, Unearthed, Double J and rage.

In addition to the awards, triple j’s Ausmusic Month celebrations include the “triple j 50 tour,” which hits Hobart, Newcastle, Adelaide, the Gold Coast and Torquay with performances from Ninajirachi, Tkay Maidza, Mallrat and more. Local acts will also take over weekly segments like Like a Version, Live at the Wireless and Friday Mix, culminating with Ausmusic T-Shirt Day on Nov. 27.

How Gotham Awards and AFI Fest Impact the Oscar Race

Another day, another awards season week in the bag. In the last gasp of October, both the Gotham Award nominees unveiled as did the finish of Los Angeles’ AFI Fest. While the Gotham Awards are an early indicator of where some favorites lie, remember that these nominations (of which “One Battle After Another” reigned supreme after the formerly indie film ceremony eliminated its budget cap) are chosen by high-minded clusters of critics and film programmers. They are not reflective of Academy tastes, though a number of the films get a boost as voters elsewhere do a search on who’s in the running as they ready their ballots.

On this week’s episode of IndieWire’s “Screen Talk” podcast, co-hosts Anne Thompson and Ryan Lattanzio take a look at who got a boost from the Gothams. The indie spirit of the nonprofit Gotham Film & Media Institute — with awards formally dating back to 1991 — was retained in Best Feature picks like “Lurker,” “East of Wall,” and “Familiar Touch.” A24’s “Sorry, Baby” and “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” also scored multiple nominations in this category and more, but they’re up against “Sinners,” “Hamnet,” and “One Battle After Another,” largely expected to be the top three vying for Best Picture at the Oscars. As of now, anyway. The race can change like the weather.

'Bugonia'

“Bugonia,” “Train Dreams,” and “The Testament of Ann Lee,” which Searchlight picked up some time after its Venice premiere, are also up for Best Feature. Anne finally caught up with “Ann Lee” at AFI Fest and is more an admirer than passionate fan; Ryan commends how Mona Fastvold finds a parallel in her own massive directing effort to the utopia built by the titular Shaker movement leader.

Elsewhere at AFI Fest, Craig Brewer’s “Song Sung Blue” made its world premiere to decent reviews. The true story stars Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman as a pair of down-on-their-luck performers who start up a Neil Diamond tribute band. It seems more like a Golden Globes play in the Musical/Comedy category than a movie bound for Oscar; it’s not releasing until Christmas, so potential audience enthusiasm could tip its favor.

All of that’s to say that these latest developments in the awards season race don’t mean a hell of a lot. Just yet.

The 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 with Gujarat Tourism, held on October 11 at EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, was a dazzling celebration of Indian cinema, filled with glamour, emotion, and unforgettable performances. Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Maniesh Paul, the star-studded night brought together the biggest names in Bollywood.
From power-packed dance numbers by Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Abhishek Bachchan to heartfelt tributes, the ceremony captured the very essence of Hindi cinema. This year, Laapataa Ladies emerged as the biggest winner, leading with the most nominations and tying the all-time record of wins held by Gully Boy (2019).
Fans across social media couldn’t contain their excitement, flooding platforms with love and praise for their favourite stars and moments. Many were especially emotional about Shah Rukh Khan’s return to hosting Filmfare after 17 years. One fan wrote, “From hosting to winning hearts every Filmfare moment feels incomplete without Shah Rukh Khan. The King returns in the new #FilmfareAwards2025 promo and it feels like home!”

 

Another highlight for fans was Kartik Aaryan’s much-deserved Best Actor win for Chandu Champion. One user shared, “Kartik Aaryan’s win made me very happy this year,” while another posted, “I am happy for Lakshya, well deserved!”

Bollywood nostalgia took over when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol shared the stage, leaving audiences teary-eyed and thrilled. As one fan perfectly summed it up, “SRK-Kajol = Bollywood’s eternal magic! Their Filmfare stage moment had everyone cheering.”

 

Alia Bhatt’s win for Jigra also lit up social media. Fans called her victory inspiring and heartfelt, with one tweet reading, “SUPERSTAR #AliaBhatt wins the Best Actor (Female) award for Jigra at #FilmfareAwards2025 — absolutely deserving every bit of it!!”

From the electric performances to the emotional speeches, this year’s Filmfare Awards proved once again why it remains Bollywood’s most beloved night of celebration.

Kartik Aaryan reacts to winning Best Actor awards for both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Chandu Champion in 2025: It’s surreal…

For Kartik Aaryan, 2025 will always remain one of his most special years, with big film announcements one after the other, and of course, his Best Actor wins: IIFA for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Filmfare for Chandu Champion, both 2024 releases. As HT City catches up with him, the confidence shines through, in both his choices and ambition:

Winning your first-ever Filmfare Best Actor award for Chandu Champion – for a new-generation star like you, did the film feel like an ‘experiment,’ and was the win a vindication of sorts?

Honestly, I didn’t look at Chandu Champion as an experiment at all. The moment I heard the story of (India’s first paralympic gold medallist) Murlikant Petkar ji, I was surprised and deeply moved. I felt this was a story of incredible resilience, courage, and self belief; one every Indian should know. I could totally relate to his story and considered myself truly blessed to get the opportunity to portray such an inspirational real-life hero on screen. I will always be indebted to Kabir (Khan, director) sir and Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir for trusting me with this incredible story. Winning the Filmfare Best Actor award feels like a huge validation, not just for me but for the kind of cinema that celebrates real stories and the human spirit.

Is Chatori (your newest pup) a present you have given to yourself for your Chandu Champion win?

(Laughs) Yes, you can say that! Chatori is actually a gift from my mom, and she’s already become everyone’s favourite at home. Bas Katori thodi si insecure ho gayi hai! Abhi tak donon ki dosti nahin hui hai. But still, Katori is very protective of Chatori like a big sister. The house feels livelier with both of them around.

We celebrated Diwali recently, and one is reminded of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 last year, which pretty much set the benchmark for Diwali releases. Do big box office numbers feel like a responsibility, or add pressure?

The love the audience showered on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was overwhelming, it felt like a festival inside theatres. The film released alongside another massive franchise, and there was immense anticipation among the audience, trade, and media for both. Together, the two films did a combined business of over ₹800 crores worldwide (BB3 – ₹423.85 cr, Singham Returns – ₹389.64 cr). That year, Diwali genuinely felt like Diwali for the entire industry.

For me, these big box office numbers are very motivating, but more than pressure, I see it as a responsibility, to keep entertaining the audience and living up to their expectations. At the same time, I try not to let the numbers dictate my choices. For me, it’s always about the story and the connection it creates with the audience. If that works, everything else follows.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is set for a New Year eve release. How was it reuniting with (actor) Ananya Panday?

The film has shaped up beautifully, it’s got that perfect mix of heart, fun, and festive energy. We had a blast shooting it, and that vibe translates on screen. Reuniting with Ananya was like picking up where we left off, she was a total live-wire on set. She’s going to surprise everyone. I’m sure the audience will enjoy our chemistry in this fun, refreshing rom-com as Ray-Rumi and all the masti the film brings.

Would you call rom-com ‘your’ genre, given your successful track record in them?

Rom-coms come to me quite naturally, maybe they’re just in my DNA (laughs). I guess the audience also enjoys seeing me in such roles, which makes it more special. But I never want to be confined to one genre. I love exploring different kinds of stories and characters. At the end of the day, I go by what truly connects with me, a story that moves me and one that will entertain the audience, no matter what the genre is.

One hears that you don’t limit yourself to just acting, you get involved in marketing too. There’s even a ‘Kartik Aaryan template’ now. Where did this streak come from?

I think I’m also a bit of a businessman at heart (smiles). For me, it’s equally important to market a film in the best possible way. Today, storytelling doesn’t end with the shoot, how you present it to the audience matters just as much. So I like being involved in all aspects of film making. Thankfully, my producers have been welcoming and yes, even I have heard about the ‘Kartik Aaryan template’ being discussed at films marketing meetings! Trust me, its really encouraging.

Teyana Taylor to Host the 2025 CFDA Awards with Amber Valletta, Julianne Moore, Addison Rae, and More Presenting

The 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards are scheduled for November 3 at the American Museum of Natural History, where they will be hosted by American triple-threat Teyana Taylor, who can be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and, of course, on the runway at Vogue World: Hollywood. The actor, choreographer, and singer joins a list of past hosts that includes Anne Hathaway and Cynthia Erivo.

In addition to honoring American fashion and cementing its future, one of the ceremony’s most endearing traditions is that, in addition to famous presenters, who are more often than not actors, supermodels, and singers—it invites American designers to do the honors. This year, the lineup portends a fabulous night filled with both up-and-comers and stalwarts.

Joseph Altuzarra will present the American Womenswear Designer of the Year award alongside actor Leslie Bibb, who most recently appeared in the third season of The White Lotus. Resident funny guy Benito Skinner of Overcompensating fame will join Jennifer Fisher to introduce the American Accessory Designer of the Year Award. Addison Rae and Christopher John Rogers—both Libras hailing from Louisiana!—will introduce the Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year category, and CFDA chairman Thom Browne will present Ralph Rucci with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert will be given to Cynthia Rowley by Julianne Moore, and Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God will receive the Innovation Award Presented by Amazon Fashion from Ava DuVernay. Ariana DeBose and Amber Valletta will give the Positive Change Award to Donatella Versace, who is being recognized for her advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and her support of young talents, and Vogue’s Nicole Phelps will present the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute to her fellow New Yorker Andre Walker. Pieter Mulier will receive the International Designer of the Year Award from Naomi Campbell.

Nominees and honorees were announced early in September as New York Fashion Week got going, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America has shared that the recipient for the Fashion Icon recognition will be none other than Vogue’s May 2025 cover star A$AP Rocky.

The rapper, who is known as a menswear oracle of sorts and acted as co-chair at the 2025 Met Gala, has a label of his own as part of his creative agency AWGE. Rocky is also the creative director of Puma and Ray-Ban and has fronted campaigns for labels including Bottega Veneta and Calvin Klein, in addition to designing a capsule for Moncler. “A$AP Rocky is a fashion icon in the purest form,” CFDA chairman Thom Browne said. “He is one of a kind. His truly original approach to fashion inspires me, and so many, to think differently.”

The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has announced the finalists for the 2025 NOEA Awards, to be held 26th November at the Roman Baths and Pump Rooms in Bath, and which saw the largest entry level in the award’s history. The shortlist once again celebrates the ingenuity, quality and creativity that continue to define the UK’s outdoor events industry, from major national festivals to pioneering local authorities and independent innovators.

Among the most prestigious honours, the Event of the Year – Private Sector category features a mix of established and emerging stars, including Aldgate in Winter Festival, Slam Dunk Festival, Tiree Music Festival, CarFest, Leadenhall Live, and Alderford & Santa Island Experience.

The quality of the awards was as such that some categories carried two winners, while the highly commended accolade was also used to recognise outstanding achievement. Within the Event Organiser of the Year award features some of the most respected names in the industry, including Peter Martin (Eastbourne), Birmingham Hippodrome, Continental Drifts Ltd, Versatile, and Ghostwriter Consultancy & Events.

Safety and professionalism remain at the heart of the industry, represented by Brian Cleary, Safe Elephant, and CM Production Management in the Best Health & Safety Practice Award. However, looking towards the future of the industry, the Best University or College Events Course category showcases the next generation of event leaders, featuring the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Buckinghamshire New University, University of Greenwich, and Bournemouth University.

“This year’s finalists capture the breadth and brilliance of the UK’s outdoor events community, with the entry levels over double previous years and the highest on record,” said Al Turner, Chair of the NOEA Awards Judges. “Every category tells a story of innovation and dedication — from organisers who bring people together, to the educators, suppliers, and creative minds shaping the future of the industry.”

Among the other stand-out categories this year, the Best Accessibility & Inclusion Initiative recognises projects and people driving greater equality across events, with finalists EventWell, Arena, Continental Drifts Ltd, Accessible Events, Leicester City Council Festivals & Events, and Ilona Porter Mucky Weekender all demonstrating exceptional leadership in inclusive event design. Equally, the Sustainability Award recognises those making real progress toward greener, more responsible events, with Power Logistics, LS Events, Ginger Owl Productions (GOAllAreas), Roder UK, Versatile, and Treehouse Festival all shortlisted.
