Aryan Simhadri Talks Grover’s Big Changes and Solo Quest (Exclusive)

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • In Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, Grover embarks on a dangerous quest to find Pan.
  • Percy, Annabeth, Clarisse, and Tyson set out to rescue Grover and retrieve the Golden Fleece to save Camp Half-Blood from threats led by Luke and the Titan Kronos.
  • Aryan Simhadri teases where Grover’s Season 2 story begins, talks about Grover getting his reed pipe, and shares what will surprise fans about his story.

Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) has been tasked with protecting demigods for years. Now, the demigods need to save him in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 on Disney+.

“We waste no time putting Grover in danger,” Simhadri told TV Insider in our Fall Preview interview. The Percy Jackson Season 2 trailer doesn’t waste time on that front either. Grover is snatched by a sea monster’s tentacle and dragged away in the first 15 seconds of the trailer. He’s later heard saying, “Percy, you’ve got to find me,” and we see him tied up in what’s no doubt a scene with the blind cyclops Polyphemus (Aleks Paunovic), who is Grover’s biggest foe in Season 2.

After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend, Grover, and the one thing that may save the camp — the legendary Golden Fleece. With help from Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn), and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson (Daniel Diemer), Percy’s survival becomes essential to stopping Luke (Charlie Bushnell), the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus.

So, where is Grover when the peril begins? The last time we saw him was in the Season 1 finale, when he was about to search for Pan, the god of nature. In Season 2, fans will get to see Grover on this quest. Simhadri shared what to expect in Grover’s first scenes in Season 2.

“We join him as he’s in this forest, and right away from the second we meet him, he’s already off,” the actor told TV Insider. “He stumbles upon this satyr corpse, which is very telling of what’s in Grover’s immediate future for this season.”

“We get to see a little bit of what happens to him between Season 1 and Season 2,” Simhadri continued. “He sends postcards to Percy, which was lovely, and we just pick up right alongside him.” One of those postcards is seen in the trailer (see below).

Disney+

Grover is far from the first satyr to embark on a quest to find Pan. As explained in Season 1, many have tried, but none have returned. The blind cyclops Polyphemus is responsible for many of those tragic tales. Grover comes across “a lot” of dead satyrs the closer he gets to the cyclops, Simhadri warned, and once he gets to Polyphemus’ cave, it’s a “traumatic” sight.

“If you think about the quest for Pan as a bunch of linear events that happen — if he’s at point B and we start at point A — Polyphemus’ cave is a huge roadblock that a lot of satyrs eventually had to come up against. And so far, none of them have come back alive,” Simhadri explained. “So it’s interesting. It’s a cool dynamic to see Polyphemus making light of the fact that Grover shows up in his cave. To Polyphemus, Grover is just another snack. To Grover, this is his whole life. And so seeing him step on satyr skulls and bones strewn all over the place, it’s a traumatic position for Grover to be in, let alone the fact that he’s alone from friends and family and home.”

Grover’s dangerous quest meant that Simhadri was doing stunts on his first day of filming the second season, “which was sick,” the actor raved. Another thing that excited him was Grover finally getting his reed pipe. Satyrs use reed pipes to channel their woodland magic. When they play certain songs, the musical instrument can help them do things such as capture enemies, grow plants, and more. While Grover’s reed pipe is in the first book, The Lightning Thief, it wasn’t included in Season 1 of the show.

Grover will receive his panpipe at the beginning of Season 2, Simhadri shared (you can see him with the instrument in the photo at the top of the page). This was something he talked to the writers about including in the second season.

“I’m so glad that we found a place for this,” Simhadri said. “I talked to Daphne about it, who’s one of our incredible writers, because it wasn’t there in Season 1. And we were both like, ‘Yeah, it makes sense that Grover would now have this opportunity to showcase his skills.’”

Grover feels like a “complete” character to the actor now, thanks to this addition.

“That’s his way of fighting,” Simhadri said. “It’s part of his kit, and so I feel now like it’s finally complete. Grover in Season 2 is basically the Grover that we’re going to see for the rest of the show.”

“We get to see him getting his pipes, and it’s right off the top,” he added. “It’s kind of an immediate up for him, which was selfishly awesome for me. It’s cool that he now has this physical evidence that he’s older and he’s a little more capable.”

Simhardri also shared what he thinks will surprise fans the most about Grover’s plot this season.

“I think it’s easy to forget that Grover’s on his own quest a lot of the time, because he can’t really bring it up to Percy and Annabeth. They don’t really understand in the same way that he does,” he said. “They were abandoned by their godly parents, and so was Luke. And that’s why all of this started. Grover, and kind of any satyr, has always had his.”

“He’s more vulnerable than everyone thinks he is,” Simhadri continued. “He’s portrayed as this protector who is solely there for Percy and Annabeth, but this season we see him on his own and what that does to him. The Golden Fleece is kind of the closest that he gets to Pan in a long, long time, the closest that any satyr has ever gotten to Pan. And so to see him be the one to bear that kind of, I guess, divine responsibility, I don’t want to make it sound too religious, but it’s huge for him. You get to see him lose it a little bit. He kind of just fully cracks. That’s something that we’ve never really seen from Grover before.”

Percy Jackson Season 2 debuts with two episodes on Wednesday, December 10.

Aryan Khan To Make His FIRST Theatrical Film In 2026, Shah Rukh Khan Collaboration On Cards For 2027- Report

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Aryan Khan, the eldest son of Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to take the next big step in his filmmaking journey. After making an impressive debut as a director with his OTT project The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Aryan is now gearing up for his first big-screen directorial. The untitled project is expected to go on floors in 2026.

Aryan Khan Gears Up For Big-Screen Debut

While details about the story and cast are still under wraps, reports confirm that Shah Rukh Khan will not be playing the lead. Aryan is said to be crafting a unique cinematic experience that will stand out from mainstream Bollywood storytelling.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Aryan is determined to establish his own identity as a filmmaker before directing his superstar father. He wants to “earn” that opportunity through hard work and merit, rather than legacy. If things go as planned, Aryan and Shah Rukh Khan will collaborate on his third directorial, which could take shape around 2027.

The father-son duo has reportedly locked the basic concept, but Aryan is currently busy finalizing the script for his second feature, which will soon move into the casting phase. Aryan’s first project, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, premiered on Netflix on September 18, 2025.

Produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, the action comedy-drama follows the journey of Aasmaan Singh, an ambitious outsider navigating the highs and lows of the Hindi film industry. With themes of ambition, fame, and nepotism, the show stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya Lalwani, and Sahher Bambba, along with cameos by big stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is filming King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The high-octane action drama will also introduce Suhana Khan in a leading role and is slated for release in 2026.

Aryan Khan’s Girlfriend Trolled As ‘Vote Chori’ Confusion Hits Instagram

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

When the daughter of a digital creator posted a casual Instagram photo of her holiday in Brazil, few might have predicted it would spark a wave of confusion, trolling and political discourse in India. Yet, that’s exactly what happened after actor-producer Aryan Khan’s partner Larissa Bonesi became suddenly caught in a swirling online storm—her Instagram wall inundated with comments from agitated Indians following a national political allegation.

It began with a televised press conference in which politician Rahul Gandhi claimed widespread “vote chori” (vote theft) during recent state elections. During the exchange, he mentioned the surname “Khan” and, in a moment that went viral, some viewers misheard or mis-interpreted it as “Khan with a Brazilian partner,” triggering a mismatch of identities. Larissa, a Brazilian influencer linked with Aryan Khan, was not involved in the political matter—but her social-media profile nonetheless became a target of online suspicion.

Almost immediately after the mis-reported name, Larissa’s posts—previously serene snapshots of travel, fashion and lifestyle—were swamped with comments from Indian users demanding explanations. Many messages read: “Are you involved in voter fraud?”, “Vote chori? Tell us what happened”, “We know you and Aryan—come clean”. Others simply posted droves of emoji-fire reactions and links to the electoral claim as though tagging her directly in a scandal she had no connection to.

What looks on its surface like a digital freak-event actually reflects a deeper pattern: in India’s hyper-connected media ecosystem, a celebrity’s personal account can become a blow-torch when misinformation and public curiosity intersect. Larissa’s international profile, Aryan Khan’s iconic family background and the emotive subject of electoral integrity created a combustible mix.

A few elements intensified the backlash: Larissa’s status as a non-Indian, the cultural ethnicity of “Khan”, and the timing aligned with electoral allegations. The thresholds for identification and guilt became dangerously low—people were ready to assume association simply through social connections. Even though the reality was that Larissa had no role in India’s elections, the momentum of public outrage ignored facts.

For Larissa, the experience was disorienting. In interviews later, Aryan acknowledged how his partner was overwhelmed. The picture she had shared as part of her usual travel-influencer feed wasn’t commentary on elections or Indian politics—it was a snapshot. Yet suddenly it landed in comment tabs filled with pointed demands and hashtags like #VoteChori.

From a media-culture perspective, this moment offers a cautionary insight. Public figures—especially those associated with well-known names—are perpetually two clicks away from undeserved scandal. And in the clatter of online voices, nuance often disappears. A name, a misheard phrase, a viral clip—these become triggers for digital mobs.

It also tells us something about how visibility works today. When a celebrity like Aryan Khan moves into the spotlight once again—either through a film, brand tie-in or social-media update—everything around him becomes searchable, sharable and subject to scrutiny. Friends, partners, in-laws—all become publicly tagged. For Larissa Bonesi, that meant her lifestyle posts suddenly required context, explanation and defence.

What’s important here isn’t just the misfire of identity but the larger expectation of celebrity clarity. Fans and followers now expect stars and their immediate circle to comment on anything connected to their names—even when the individuals named have no involvement. In faux-campaigns or real ones, the idea is: if you’re linked to someone influential, your narrative belongs to the public.

In Larissa’s case, the surge of confusion raises urgent questions about privacy, boundaries and responsibility in a digital age. Should a foreign influencer whose only linkage is a relationship with an Indian celebrity be subjected to politically charged commentary? And what role do platforms, algorithms and comment culture play in enabling such targeting?

For Aryan Khan, the incident highlights the collateral consequences of celebrity. He may be untangling politics from family life in the public eye now—but in truth, the incident reminds stars that even off-hand connections become headline-fuel. For public discourse, the episode is a mirror: the readiness with which millions tagged a young woman in a national scandal reveals how quickly identity becomes narrative.

In the end, what started as a party photo in Brazil became a case study in digital novelties—where globalization, celebrity, identity and politics converge in unexpected ways. For audiences, it serves as both spectacle and warning: the next time you scroll past a comment thread dredged with outrage, remember there might be someone on the other side—unprepared, unmentioned, yet instantly involved.

Halloween 2025: Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone team up; Nita Ambani is Audrey Hepburn and even Aryan Khan is in costume

It was a starry, spooky Halloween for Bollywood this year. Social media star Orry has shared a much-awaited video from a Halloween party that was attended by all the biggest names of Mumbai. These included Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and others.

Nita Ambani as Audrey Hepburn, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone as Lara Croft and Lady Singham.

A starry Halloween

The video shows Orry dressed as Sebastian the crab from Little Mermaid. Next up is Nita Ambani, dressed as Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast At Tiffany’s. She looked much like the late Hollywood icon with her black off-shoulder dress, diamond tiara and bangs.

Alia Bhatt channelled Lara Croft in black t-shirt, shorts and a braid while Deepika Padukone pulled out her Lady Singham outfit from the wardrobe for the special night.

Ranveer Singh showed up in full Deadpool costume but Orry misidentified him as Spider-Man. Akash and Shloka dressed up as Gomez and Morticia Addams from The Addams Family.

Even the usually recluse Aryan Khan showed up for the party, dressed like Jake Gyllenhall from Brokeback Mountain.

Watch the video here:

In his caption, Orry asked his followers to pick a winner. Ananya Panday chose, “Nita aunty.” Khushi Kapoor wrote, “Nita aunty for the win.” Janhvi Kapoor wrote, “Nita aunty committed.”

A person wrote, “This was the BESTTTTTTT reel of 2025.”

A Jamnagar soiree again

The celebrities were also recently in Jamnagar for the birthday celebrations of Isha and Akash Ambani. Among the big names spotted at the Jamnagar Airport were Ananya Panday, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and filmmaker Karan Johar, among others, turning the city into a vibrant hub of glamour, music, and star-studded appearances.

Renowned playback singer Arijit Singh, who is known for his soulful voice and songs like ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from ‘Aashiqui 2’ was also spotted. His arrival added more excitement to the guest list that already includes several of Bollywood’s top names.

Later in the day, Janhvi Kapoor and Aryan Khan were spotted landing in Jamnagar.

The twin birthday celebrations of Isha and Akash Ambani became one of the biggest highlights. Known for hosting grand-scale events, the Ambani family had once again drawn an impressive guest list.

‘I Am Not For Sale’, Shashi Tharoor Clarifies After Being Accused of “Paid Review” for Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood

Congress leader and author Shashi Tharoor recently found himself at the center of controversy after he praised Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. What began as an enthusiastic appreciation post soon spiraled into a heated online debate, forcing Tharoor to issue a clarification following accusations of posting a paid review. After watching The Ba***ds of Bollywood on Netflix, Tharoor took to social media platform X to share his admiration for the series and Aryan Khan’s work.

Shashi Tharoor Clarifies Air

The veteran politician lauded the show’s witty writing, bold satire, and sharp direction, calling Aryan’s debut a true storytelling triumph. In his post, Tharoor wrote, “I just watched Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, and I’m at a loss for words. It takes time to impress you, but then you’re completely hooked! The writing is sharp, the direction unflinching, and the fearlessness of this satire is exactly what Bollywood needed.”

He further praised the show’s tone and execution, saying, “A brilliant, funny, sometimes moving, and always unapologetic series that tackles every cinematic cliché with a sharp edge. Seven compelling episodes mark the arrival of a true storytelling force.” He even congratulated Shah Rukh Khan, adding, “Aryan Khan, thank you, you’ve delivered a masterpiece. Shah Rukh Khan, from one father to another, I have to say: you should be so proud.”

Shashi Tharoor

Shortly after his glowing review, several social media users began trolling Tharoor, accusing him of being part of a promotional campaign. One user wrote, “Shashi Tharoor’s new side business, paid reviews.” However, Tharoor did not remain silent. The Congress MP swiftly responded to the allegations with a firm denial, “I’m not for sale, my friend. I’ve never been paid in cash or kind for any opinion I’ve expressed.”

Exclusive: I Was Lucky to Have Aryan Khan Direct Me- Neville Bharucha on The Ba***ds of Bollywood

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

When comedian, actor and improv trainer Neville Bharucha first received a call to audition for Aryan Khan’s show The Ba***ds of Bollywood, he almost turned it down. At that time, he was working as a school teacher and wasn’t confident about doing a Hindi web series, but after some convincing, he agreed. And what followed was one of the best auditions he had done, eventually landing him the role of DJ Adam. Though he had a brief screen time, Neville’s performance left a lasting impact. Filmfare caught up with him for a candid chat where he reflected on his journey with the series, from his first encounter with Aryan Khan and working alongside veterans like Manoj Pahwa, to the surreal experience of meeting Shah Rukh Khan.

How did you land an opportunity of working in The Bads Of Bollywood?

I remember getting the call while I was sitting at Bangalore Airport. I initially refused because I was a school teacher at the time, and my Hindi isn’t great, so a web series didn’t seem like the best idea. But the lady on the phone convinced me to go for the audition. I went, and it turned out to be one of the best auditions I’ve ever done. I remember walking out, calling my wife, and telling her, “I think I’m going to get this part.” And sure enough, a month later, I got a call from the same guy who took the audition, who, by the way, did a fantastic job, too.

How was your first meeting with Aryan? The first time I met Aryan was when I had gone to the Red Chillies office for a table read. I entered the building and I rushed toward the elevator, pressed the button, and someone stopped me from getting in until I heard a voice from inside say, “No, no, let him in.” I stepped in, and there he was, Aryan Khan. He greeted me very warmly as if we had known each other for years, exchanged pleasantries, and I was surprised that he already knew quite a bit about me. He’d clearly done his research, and that was the start of something wonderful.
Can you recall any significant moment from the first table read?

The first feeling I had at the table read was, wow, this is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of. That table read was truly fascinating. Watching everyone bring their characters to life was incredible. I remember looking down at my script, hearing the others read, and thinking, Oh my god, the talent these guys have. I honestly couldn’t wait to see how it would all translate on screen, and it turned out outstanding. It was such a wonderful feeling, something I’d never experienced before, and honestly, it was just next level.

What kind of brief did you get for your character from Aryan?
The brief for the character was fantastic. Aryan gave me a clear vision and was super open to my interpretation. He described someone irreverent, fun, deeply focused on his music, confident, and a little out there, and I feel I embodied that well. Everyone seemed to respond positively to the role. It was a super fun character to play. In some ways, it was a bit close to me, but also completely different. I would never wear the clothes DJ Adam wore! Still, it was a blast, and they made me look super cool.
What’s the best compliment you have received for your performance?

All compliments are the best. There isn’t one that’s better than another; it’s just really lovely to have people reach out. Friends from school and college, a couple of teachers, even people I’ve only had fleeting interactions with, have messaged to congratulate me. The most annoyingly sweet part, though, is when people click on my Instagram ads for improv classes just to say, “Hey, I don’t want to take your class, just wanted to say congrats on the show.” It’s very kind, but I pay for every click! So essentially, I’m paying Meta for compliments. Appreciate the love but just DM me, ya! Or better yet, sign up for the class. It’s a fun one.

Tell us about your onscreen and off-screen dynamic with Manoj Pahwa, since most of your scenes were with him.

On-screen and off-screen, it was exactly the same fun, full of masti, and just pure chemistry. From day one, the relationship we’ve shared has had so many unspoken moments that come through beautifully on screen. I’ve had the best time shooting with him. He’s such a brilliant actor, there’s so much depth even in the things he doesn’t say. It was truly my absolute pleasure, and honestly, a privilege to work with a veteran like him.

Was there any scene where you broke character or improvised?
For me, comedy comes naturally, so luckily, this wasn’t a very serious character. There was never a moment when I broke character; it all flowed together. A lot of my reactions to the dialogues came instinctively and were probably improvised. Some moments here and there were definitely added on the spot. But that’s the beauty of it, even I, as the actor, can’t always tell what was improvised and what was scripted. It’s all merged seamlessly into one for me.

What kind of a director was Aryan?

Aryan was an incredible director; he has the best facial expressions, so he can always communicate exactly what’s going on in his mind. He’s very open to your interpretation, too, so we’d often try multiple variations of the same scene, which made the process so exciting. He’s always encouraging, always present with his thoughts, and so sharp and thorough that it genuinely inspires you to give your best. Calling him calm would be an understatement; he’s one of the most chilled-out people I’ve worked with. You hear stories about high-pressure sets, but Aryan made everything feel effortless. I was genuinely lucky to have someone like him direct me; I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Did you get to interact with SRK on or off set?

We’ve met a couple of times, and it’s always been surreal. You see, this man is probably the most loved person in the entire world, and yet, when he talks to you, it feels like you’re the only person that matters in that moment. First time at Mannat; it was late, we were about to leave, and he just came up to us and started chatting. When it was time to go, he personally came and saw each of us out and said goodbye individually. He’s the warmest gentleman around, a true testament to what good values and genuine kindness look like. It’s no wonder the entire world loves him. Even when he met my wife at the screening, he was an absolute delight. She was over the moon. Her exact words to me after meeting him were, “Our marriage has finally paid off.”

Neville Bharucha
Tell us something special about the premiere night…

The premiere night was surreal, the kind of thing people dream about. You hear about it, you see it, but when it actually happens to you, it’s a blur. Walking the carpet, meeting all the people you’ve shared the most wonderful times with, seeing your work on the big screen, going on stage, meeting everyone, it was something else entirely. Afterwards, everyone was so gracious and happy to be together; the whole gang was buzzing with joy. As much as it felt like a culmination, it was really just the beginning. The world hadn’t seen the show yet. In short, it was the perfect start to the rollercoaster of the past few weeks.

What’s the one most significant moment or memory that you would take away from the show?

What I really enjoyed was the time on set when everyone was together, me, Lakshya, Raghav (Juyal), Manoj sir, and Anya (Singh). We’d all have lunch together, and it was such a nice hour to decompress, chat, and just hang out. Those moments, where we really got to know each other, are some of the nicest memories I’ve ever had.

Just a lot of improv teaching, tons of kids’ creative writing classes, improv classes, and doing improv shows. We have shows almost every week or every alternate week at The Habitat, which is always amazing because I love performing live and making people laugh. Those shows are a blast. On top of that, I teach weekend improv classes that I run, and just soaking in everything the work has to offer. That’s about it.

Aryan Khan Series Controversy: Sameer Wankhede’s Family Faces Online Abuse! | Glamsham.com

Ex-Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede has sued Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix for defamation over the scandalous series The Ba*ds of Bollywood, which he says portrays him in a bad light. The co-created show by Aryan Khan has caused big controversy upon release, with Wankhede claiming that the satire aims not only at him but also demeans the efforts of those who battle drug abuse.

Wankhede had asserted that he had moved the Delhi High Court on his own and not as a government official. “My personal opinion is that there is no relation between my profession or my job and this,” he said, declining further comment on the legal case since it is sub judice.

Wankhede also disclosed that the backlash has moved beyond criticism with hate messages reaching his family from outside India. “We have frequently reported the threats given to my sister and my wife by the police on a regular basis. I will not accept the fact that because of me, they have to bear the brunt of it,” he said, showing alarm over the increasing online abuse faced by his loved ones from nations like Pakistan, the UAE, and Bangladesh.

In reply to the criticism, Aryan Khan came to the defense of the series, saying the show was meant to be satirical, not a documentary. “We were taking liberties with it for screen, naturally, but naturally, there’ll be things that are inspired. There’ll be scenes that are inspired by certain realities, and there’ll be exaggerations,” Aryan said, further adding, “If you don’t like it, the show is not meant for you.”

He admitted there were some scenes that invited internal arguments on the sets, but stood firm on his creative position. “We did receive some notes on some scenes where they were like, ‘Oh, this is too this, or this is too that,’ but then I took a stand,” Aryan said.

The Delhi High Court has also heard Wankhede’s complaint and issued summons to Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix, X Corp, Google, Meta, and others. The next date for hearing is October 30.

The Ba*ds of Bollywood stars an ensemble cast of Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, and Sahher Bambba, with special guest appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Disha Patani, and S. S. Rajamouli.

Comedian Samay Raina turned heads at the premiere of superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, , The Ba***ds of Bollywood, with his cheeky ‘Say No To Cruise’ T-shirt. Now, actor Raghav Juyal has revealed how Shah Rukh and Aryan reacted to it.

Last month, Samay Raina attended the screening of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood in Mumbai.

Raghav reveals Shah Rukh and Aryan’s reaction

Raghav looked back at the moment when everyone saw Samay wearing that T-shirt, and how Shah Rukh and his son Aryan reacted to it when he joined Ranveer Allahabadia on his podcast.

Raghav laughed and said, “Yeh T-shirt pehen ke waha par pohcha huwa hai. Aur log has rahe hai, Aryan has raha hai, sab has rahe hai. Woh kar sakta hai, woh toh aisa hi hai na. Hum nahi kar sakte na. Pure party me aise hi ghum raha tha, T-shirt dikha dikha ke, sabko (He showed up there wearing that T-shirt, and everyone is laughing! Aryan’s laughing, the crowd’s laughing, the whole place is cracking up. But of course, he can pull it off, that’s just the kind of person he is. We couldn’t do that even if we tried. He was roaming around the entire party flaunting that T-shirt proudly, showing it off to everyone).

“Sabke samne aise hi dikha raha hai yeh aadmi (He was doing that right in front of everyone).”

When asked how Shah Rukh reacted to it, Raghav revealed that even Shah Rukh couldn’t stop laughing about it, saying, “Sir ke liye toh sabhi bachche hai na yaar, sir treats everyone like a beta (You know, for Sir, everyone’s like his own kid. He treats them all like his son).”

More about Samay Raina’s T-shirt

Last month, Samay Raina attended the screening of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood in Mumbai wearing a simple black T-shirt which came with a message that read, ‘Say no to cruise’. The words were seemingly a dig at Aryan’s cruise-drug case. His choice of clothing led to a conversation on social media.

One wrote, “Oh God!!!!! Samay is born different. Who would have thought? I can’t stop laughing, with another sharing, “He has guts. I know it’s cliche, but…. But bro should really hesitate.”

About the drug case

In October 2021, Aryan Khan was embroiled in a high-profile drugs case after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a rave party on the Goa-bound Cordelia Empress cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

The ship, bound for Lakshadweep, became the centre of national headlines after Aryan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant, and several others were detained. Aryan was arrested by the NCB team, led by the ex-Zonal officer, Sameer Wankhede, in October 2021. He was released after spending more than three weeks in jail following his arrest. Later, Aryan was given a clean chit in the drugs case.

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, made his directorial debut with the Netflix web series “The Ba***ds of Bollywood.” The show has received mixed reactions from audiences and critics alike. While many praised Aryan’s bold storytelling and satirical take on the film industry, comedian Sunil Pal has strongly criticized it for mocking Bollywood.

Sunil Pal Criticized Aryan Khan

In an interview with one of the media houses, Sunil Pal expressed his disappointment, saying, “You are criticizing the same Bollywood that made your father such a superstar!” He added that Aryan should have shown more respect toward the industry that has given his family so much fame and success. Let us tell you that Shah Rukh Khan, who has ruled Bollywood for more than 33 years, has delivered countless blockbusters and established himself as one of the most loved actors globally.

Interestingly, SRK himself appears in a cameo role in Aryan’s show, which also pokes fun at several well-known actors and industry practices. Despite this, none of the celebrities who were referenced or portrayed in the show have publicly objected to its content. Sunil Pal further stated that Aryan had all the resources and support to create something more inspiring. He said, “Aryan had no shortage of fame, money, or platform. If he had waited for five more years and worked harder, he could have made something even Sanjay Leela Bhansali would have appreciated.”

“The Bads of Bollywood” features an impressive ensemble cast including Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Manoj Pahwa. Several Bollywood celebrities, such as Karan Johar, Emraan Hashmi, and Shah Rukh Khan, make special cameo appearances. The series, streaming on Netflix, explores the darker and humorous sides of the glamour industry, blending satire with social commentary. While Aryan Khan’s debut has sparked controversy, it has also established him as a daring new voice in modern storytelling, one unafraid to question the very world he comes from.
