She added: “I love boxing. I love what I do. I don’t take disrespect. I’m a pretty and beautiful woman, but I’m also strong and I believe in what I do.”

Newly-engaged couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance on Thursday night following the announcement of their impending nuptials. The duo attended the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Nebraska Cornhuskers game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City alongside Jason Kelce (and Swift’s enormous ring).

Kelce notably played for the Bearcats during his college career at the University of Cincinnati. The NFL player’s current Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes was also spotted in the crowd with Swift and Kelce.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a carousel of images with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The photos captured the couple surrounded by flowers and foliage. Kelce proposed with a Kindred Lubeck-designed ring from Artifex Fine Jewelry, housing an old mine brilliant cut. They set the post to “So High School,” the Tortured Poets Department deep cut where Swift sings, “Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? It’s just a game, but really.”

During a recent appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Swift reflected fondly on how he went about courting her. “This kind of felt more like I was in an Eighties John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with boom box, just being like, ‘I want to date you,’” she said. “This is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.”

Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, also attended, watching the first half of the game between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Nebraska Cornhuskers at Arrowhead Stadium.

Notably, the stadium holds sentimental value in their relationship—it’s where Travis first saw Taylor’s Eras Tour on July 8, 2023. During a break between the European leg of his Grand National tour with SZA and the Sept. 23 Mexico City launch of a South American segment, Kendrick Lamar dazzled the audience at Los Angeles venue Novo last night (Aug. 23) by joining rap duo Clipse for the first song of their show.

Pusha and No Malice had already begun performing “Chains & Whips,” the studio version of which features Lamar, when the artist himself emerged from the back of the stage to rhyme his verse. Afterward, he took a moment to salute the influence of Clipse, whose recent album, Let God Sort Em Out, was their first in nearly 16 years.

“This is our home city,” he said. “It’s such a privilege to be in front of motheruckin’ legends, man. I’ma be out there watching with y’all.. These are my motherfuckin’ people from day one. Love y’all.”

Clipse are on a North American tour in support of Let Got Sort Em Out through Sept. 11 in Baltimore. European dates are on tap beginning Nov. 5 in Tilburg, Netherlands.
