What Happens After the Apocalypse? ‘Greenland 2: Migration’ Trailer

“Do we think there’s anywhere that’s safe from all of this?” Lionsgate has revealed the first official trailer for Greenland 2: Migration, a disaster movie sci-fi sequel that is now an epic post-apocalyptic survival thriller movie. Hitting theaters January 2026 just after the New Year – the original Greenland also opened in January back in 2020. Remember that one? At the end of the first movie (spoilers!), this family barely makes it inside of the bunker and then the comet strikes Earth and destroys everything. In this continuation of the story, the Garrity family, who survived a near-extinction level event when an interstellar comet hits Earth, must leave the safety of their Greenland bunker (after 5 years) and embark upon a perilous journey across the decimated frozen wasteland of Europe to create a new home – somewhere in France. This stars Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Roman Griffin Davis, Amber Rose Revah, Trond Fausa Aurvåg. This sequel actually looks legit! Bigger & better, with just as much crazy realism depicting what would happen to Earth after a comet causes the apocalypse. Yep I’ll definitely be watching it.

Here’s the first trailer (+ poster) for Ric Roman Waugh’s sequel Greenland 2: Migration, from YouTube:

The sequel to cosmic disaster movie Greenland (2020). In a continuation of the story, the Garrity family, who survive a near-extinction level event when a comet hits Earth, must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker after five years and embark upon a perilous journey across the decimated frozen wasteland of Europe to find a new home. Greenland 2: Migration, also known as simply Greenland: Migration, is once again directed by the American filmmaker / stuntman Ric Roman Waugh, also director of the movies In the Shadows, Felon, Snitch, Shot Caller, Angel Has Fallen, Greenland, National Champions, and Kandahar previously. The screenplay is written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Sébastien Raybaud, John Zois, Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, Brendon Boyea, & Ric Roman Waugh. Made by STX, Anton, Thunder Road, and G-BASE Film Production. Lionsgate will release this Greenland 2: Migration sequel in theaters nationwide starting January 9th, 2026 early in the new year. Brooklyn Zombie Apocalypse Horror Film ‘Queens of the Dead’ Trailer

“It’s life or death!” “It’s both. It’s always both.” Brooklyn zombie mash! IFC Films has debuted the official trailer for a horror comedy movie called Queens of the Dead, a queer zombie comedy made by filmmaker Tina Romero (daughter of the legendary zombie master George A. Romero – who passed away in 2017). Drag queens and club kids battle zombies craving brains during a zombie outbreak at their drag show inside a warehouse in Brooklyn, putting personal conflicts aside to utilize their distinct abilities against the undead threat. The film premiered the 2025 Tribeca Festival – where it won an Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature – and later screened at the Fantasia Film Festival up in Montreal a few months ago. Queens of the Dead is now set to open in theaters starting in October (of course!) before it’s streaming on Shudder. The fun ensemble cast includes Katy O’Brian, Jaquel Spivey, Tomas Matos, Nina West, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Jack Haven, Cheyenne Jackson, Dominique Jackson, Margaret Cho, Riki Lindhome, & others. This looks like some wacky, weird, wild and kinky horror fun even if it’s another familiar zombie riff.

Here’s the official trailer (+ posters) for Tina Romero’s film Queens of the Dead, direct from YouTube:

It’s Easter in Bushwick, and a different kind of resurrection is at hand… In Queens of the Dead, a zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn on the night of a giant warehouse party, where an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, & frenemies must put aside their drama and use their unique skills to fight against the brain-thirsty, scrolling undead. They’re all forced to resolve their differences and find a way to band together and survive. Queens of the Dead is directed by up-and-coming genre filmmaker Tina Romero, making her feature directorial debut after a few short films previously. The screenplay is written by Tina Romero and Erin Judge. Produced by Natalie Metzger & Matthew Lee Miller. This initially premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, and also played at the Fantasia Film Festival earlier this year. IFC Films debuts Romero’s Queens of the Dead horror in select US theaters starting October 24th, 2025 this fall. Who’s in?

Intense Teaser for ‘The Great Flood’ – Epic Korean Apocalypse Movie

“You have to create a new mankind… all we have is you.” Netflix has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for The Great Flood, a new disaster movie from Korea about a massive flood destroying the world. This one is premiering at the 2025 Busan Film Festival later this week, which is why this teaser has launched now. On what may be the last day on Earth, a life-or-death struggle in a flooded apartment becomes humanity’s one & only hope for survival. When a raging flood traps a researcher & her young son, a call to a crucial mission puts their escape—and the future of humanity—on the line. The Great Flood is a sci-fi disaster blockbuster film following those holding onto the last shred of hope for humanity to survive in a flooded building on the last day on Earth. Starring Kim Da-mi and Park Hae-soo. There’s also some kind of Artificial Intelligence subplot to this, but it’s hard to discern if that’s because they need her to store all of humanity’s data on some servers somewhere in a safe bunker. Intense! The massive waves remind me of the disaster movie 2012 – we haven’t seen anything like this in a while. I’ll be watching when it’s out later this year! Check out the footage.

Here’s the first look teaser trailer for Byung-woo Kim’s film The Great Flood, from Netflix’s YouTube:

A great flood has hit planet Earth. Many people, including An Na (Kim Da-mi) and Hee-jo (Park Hae-soo), struggle to survive inside their apartment building, which is sinking into the water. An Na is an AI development researcher and Hee Jo belongs to a human resource security team, who is trying to save An Na from the disaster. But why is Hee Jo trying to save An Na and who is behind it? The Great Flood, also known as 대홍수 or Daehongsu, is written and directed by Korean filmmaker Byung-woo Kim, director of the movies Written, The Terror Live, Take Point, and Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy previously, and the series “Reborn” recently. Produced by Hwansang Studio Seoul. This is premiering at the 2025 Busan Film Festival in South Korea coming up this month. Netflix then debuts Byung-woo Kim’s The Great Flood movie streaming on Netflix worldwide starting December 19th, 2025 later this year. Looks scary? Who’s down?
