Neil Young has announced a 50th anniversary edition of his 1975 album Tonight’s the Night.

Due out on November 28th, the limited-edition release contains six bonus tracks, including unreleased original versions of “Lookout Joe” and “Walk On,” both recorded during the 1973 album sessions at S.I.R. in Los Angeles. In particular, “Lookout Joe” replaces the original album version on the 50th anniversary reissue.

The tracklist also contains an unreleased version of “Tonight’s The Night,” as well as bonus tracks “Everybody’s Alone,” “Raised on Robbery” (featuring Joni Mitchell,) and “Speakin’ Out” originally released in Neil Young Archives Vol. II. Also of note is the presence of an early version of “Wonderin’”, recorded during the sessions for Tonight’s the Night, which was previously only to stream on Young’s website. All six of these bonus tracks are being released on vinyl for the first time.

The reissue also includes a newly imagined take of the album’s original artwork.

As Young recently pulled his music from Amazon, calling on his fans to boycott the company and “support your community.” As such, the 50th anniversary edition of Tonight’s the Night will be available via independent record stores and Warner Records’ website.

Neil Young announces 50th anniversary reissue for ‘Tonight’s The Night’

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Neil Young has announced a 50th anniversary re-release for his 1975 album ‘Tonight’s The Night’.

The limited-edition reissue will contain the full album alongside six bonus tracks, made up of unreleased alternate versions of songs from the era and a collaboration with Joni Mitchell.

The album will include a version of ‘Lookout Joe’ that was recorded at S.I.R. Studio in Los Angeles in 1973 in place of the original and a new take on the record’s title track. Also included are unreleased versions of ‘Walk On’, ‘Everybody’s Alone’ and ‘Speakin’ Out’, an early version of ‘Wonderin’’ and a collaborative version of Mitchell’s ‘Raised On Robbery’.

The reissue will be released on 2LP, clear 2LP and CD versions on November 28 and you can pre-order your copy here.

‘Tonight’s The Night’ was Young’s sixth studio album, released in June 1975. It had been recorded two years earlier but label Reprise delayed its release, reportedly due to the bleakness of the subject matter and its rough sound.

Young wrote the songs while grieving the deaths of Crazy Horse guitarist Danny Whitten and his friend Bruce Berry, and it formed the third part of his ‘Ditch Trilogy’ (after ‘Time Fades Away’ and ‘On The Beach’), recorded during Young’s deliberate retreat from fame after the success of 1972’s ‘Harvest’.

‘Tonight’s the Night’ 50th anniversary edition tracklist:

  1. ‘Tonight’s The Night’
  2. ‘Speakin’ Out’
  3. ‘World On A String’
  4. ‘Borrowed Tune’
  5. ‘Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown’
  6. ‘Mellow My Mind’
  7. ‘Roll Another Number (For The Road)’
  8. ‘Albuquerque’
  9. ‘New Mama’
  10. ‘Lookout Joe [New 1973 version]’
  11. ‘Tired Eyes’
  12. ‘Tonight’s The Night (part II)’

Bonus tracks (from original sessions at S.I.R. Studio):

  1. ‘Walk On’
  2. ‘Wonderin’’
  3. ‘Everybody’s Alone’
  4. ‘Raised On Robbery’ [feat. Joni Mitchell]
  5. ‘Speakin’ Out Jam’
  6. ‘Tonight’s The Night (take 3)’

Elsewhere, Young recently announced he was removing his music from Amazon Music. “The time is here. FORGET AMAZON,” he wrote. “Soon my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store. Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America.”

He also deactivated his Facebook and Instagram accounts over Meta’s reported “unconscionable use of chatbots with children” earlier this year.

Earlier this summer, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts headlined Glastonbury 2025 and in a four-star review, NME described the performance as “a headline set that proves that sometimes, there’s still power to be found in an old-school approach”.

“It is, in short, the definition of no frills,” it read. “It’s testament to the power of Young’s songwriting, then, just how brilliantly it all works, how little the momentum drops.”

Young released his first studio album with the Chrome Hearts, ‘Talkin To The Trees’, in June, and shared the anti-Trump song ‘Big Crime’ last month.

Charlie Puth Drops ‘Changes,’ Announces New Album ‘Whatever’s Clever’

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Charlie Puth dances with claymation instruments and appears to hint at fatherhood in the new music video for “Changes,” the first offering from the singer-songwriter’s next album, Whatever’s Clever!

“Changes” is a pure hit of super polished Eighties pop delight, filled with prickly guitar lines, glossy keys, gated snares, and a booming choir to help bring home the final chorus: “There’s been some changes in our life/I can feel the distance, space and time/Made everything different, day and night/Everything has changed but I don’t know why.”

The accompanying video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, fittingly harkens back to videos of the same era, as Puth embarks on a goofy adventure through a pre-digital world filled with charming claymation figurines and old-school stop motion effects. Puth’s wife, Brooke Sansone, also makes a cameo in the clip, and at one point, the couple touches Sansone’s belly, ostensibly hinting at a very big change on the way: The couple’s first child.

Whatever’s Clever! is set to arrive on March 6, 2026, via Atlantic Records. Puth co-produced the album with BloodPop, best known for his work with Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, and more.

Trending Stories

Whatever’s Clever! will be Puth’s fourth album and first since 2022’s Charlie. While “Changes” will definitely appear on the record, a full track list hasn’t been revealed yet, so it’s unclear if the album will also feature some of Puth’s other singles from the past few years, including “That’s Not How This Works,” “Lipstick,” and “Hero.” (Last year, Puth also dropped a one-off holiday song, “December 25th,” which he said he wrote “on a whim” while working on Whatever’s Clever!)

Last month, Puth debuted “Changes,” and a few other songs, at a four-night residency at New York’s Blue Note Jazz Club (with one show featuring a cameo from one of Puth’s songwriting heroes, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds). Puth will kick off a similar solid-out run at the Blue Note in Los Angeles tonight, Oct. 16, with shows scheduled through Oct. 19.

Peaches Announces Tour and First Album in 10 Years, Shares New Song: Listen

by jummy84 October 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Peaches is back with a new song, along with the announcement of a tour and her first album in a decade. The follow-up to her 2015 album Rub is called No Lube So Rude, and it comes out on an unspecified date next year. “Not in Your Mouth None of Your Business,” recorded with producer the Squirt Deluxe, is out right now, and you can listen to it below.

The North American tour kicks off in February, 2026, with support from Model/Actriz and Cortisa Star. A dollar from each ticket sale will go to Trans Justice Funding Project, via Plus1.

Peaches says of the new music, “When the world is friction, lube isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. It’s how you turn that friction into pleasure, into power, into pride. I want people to understand that they can still have a voice no matter who they are or what the world says about them. Now more than ever, there are so many forces that just want you to give up and be quiet. If this album can help you resist that, then that’s what it’s for.” The video description adds that it is “a chant
for trans and queer autonomy.”

YRF To Shoot 3 Major Projects In UK 2026 Onwards; PM Keir Starmer Announces

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Yash Raj Film, India’s leading film production and distribution company, have confirmed plans to bring their major productions to locations across the United Kingdom from early 2026, creating over 3,000 jobs and boosting the economy by millions of pounds, the Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced in Mumbai today.

YRF To Shoot 3 Major Projects In UK 2026 Onwards

To mark the announcement, the Prime Minister visited Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai today alongside a delegation of some of Britain’s biggest names in film including the British Film Institute, the British Film Commission, Pinewood Studios, Elstree Studios and Civic Studios. Yash Raj’s Studio completes 20 years of operations in India on October 12th.

The Prime Minister is on a two-day trade mission to strengthen ties with one of the fastest growing economies in the world and put money back into the pockets of hard-working British people. That includes deepening the collaboration of the UK and India’s globally renowned creative industries.

The UK film industry contributes £12 billion a year to the economy and supports 90,000 jobs across every region of the country. It is a sought-after destination for international filmmakers thanks to its world-leading studio infrastructure and iconic backdrops.

India is the largest producer of films in the world, and Yash Raj’s commitment follows an 8-year hiatus from filming in the UK – showcasing the impact the UK-India trade deal is already having. The UK’s creative industries are globally recognised as world-leading, consistently setting international trends and commanding respect for artistic excellence, commercial success and cultural influence worldwide.

UK PM Keir Starmer On This New Collab

As a country of 1.4 billion with a growing entertainment industry, India represents a major opportunity for UK companies to expand and grow – and vice versa. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said, “Bollywood is back in Britain, and it’s bringing jobs, investment and opportunity, all while showcasing the UK as a world-class destination for global filmmaking. This is exactly the kind of partnership our trade deal with India is destined to unlock – driving growth, strengthening cultural ties and delivering for communities across the country.”

CEO Akshaye Windhani On YRF’s New Venture

Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “The UK holds a very special place in our hearts and some of our most iconic films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) were shot in this beautiful and incredibly hospitable country. We were honoured to host the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at YRF today to ink this pact and also had the pleasure to discuss how India and UK could come together to push the content landscape globally through landmark collaborations like this.”

He added, “It is truly special to reignite YRF and UK’s filming ties in the 30th anniversary of DDLJ – a film that is synonymous to UK-India’s relationship. Our company is currently producing the stage adaptation of DDLJ, the English musical titled Come Fall in Love (CFIL) in the UK too. So, we are thrilled to join hands with UK again and return to filming in the country that has always been extremely kind to us. UK’s infrastructure, technology and talent is unmatched and we are delighted to deepen our cultural ties with a country that has always empowered us to excel creatively.”

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy On This New Colla

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said, “The UK’s and India’s film industries are truly world class, entertaining billions around the world. Given the strength of our sectors and the deep cultural ties between our two countries, partnerships between Bollywood and British studios make complete sense. By making these Bollywood blockbusters in Britain we will be driving more growth in our world-class creative industries, as we committed to in our Creative Industries Sector Plan.”

About The New YRF Venture

Today’s announcement is the latest example of how the UK’s deepening partnerships with India’s booming cultural scene will create new jobs, drive investment and bolster creative content in the UK, while celebrating our valuable people-to-people links.

Supporting this further will be a cooperation agreement (MoU) between the British Film Institute and the National Film Development Commission of India, which will reinvigorate co-production and enable filmmakers from both countries to share resources and talent.

Past Indian productions have yielded global hits. Cross-cultural hit film Slumdog Millionaire, brought in around £300million to the UK economy, on a budget of just £12milllion, highlighting what’s possible when UK technical expertise and Indian storytelling unite.

Nicholas Hoult has announced he will miss his scheduled appearance at the upcoming New York Comic-Con after undergoing knee surgery that has left him unable to walk or fly.

Nicholas Hoult has announced he will miss his scheduled appearance at the upcoming New York Comic-Con after undergoing knee surgery that has left him unable to walk or fly

In a video message shared on Comic-Con’s official Instagram page, the 35-year-old actor apologised to fans for his absence.

He said: “I’m so sorry to tell you that I won’t be able to join you this time. Unfortunately, I had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago and I can’t walk or fly yet, so I’m not going to be able to make it.

“I was really looking forward to it, so I’m sorry.”

Nicholas continued: “I hope you have a wonderful weekend and hopefully I’ll be joining you in the near future and get to see you all soon.”

The actor was due to appear on a highly anticipated X-Men reunion panel alongside his former co-star James McAvoy.

Nicholas first portrayed mutant scientist Hank McCoy – known as Beast – in X-Men: First Class in 2011 and went on to reprise the role in several sequels, including Days of Future Past and Dark Phoenix.

He was also set to discuss his latest role as Superman’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor in the upcoming film Superman, part of the new DC Universe series of movies.

His casting was announced earlier this year, generating significant attention from both comic-book fans and film critics.

While Nicholas did not reveal details about his surgery, medical experts often advise against flying soon after knee operations due to the potential risk of deep vein thrombosis.

Recovery times can vary depending on the procedure, with some patients advised to wait up to three months before travelling by air.

New York Comic-Con runs from 9 to 12 October and attracts thousands of attendees each year.

Nicholas had been expected to participate in fan events and interviews throughout the weekend.

Away from his superhero roles, Nicholas has built a diverse career across film and television.

He began acting as a child and gained early acclaim for his breakout performance in the 2002 film About a Boy alongside Hugh Grant.

He later became known for his role as Tony Stonem in the teen drama Skins, before establishing himself in Hollywood with major roles in Mad Max: Fury Road, The Great and The Menu.

Impact Data & Events Launches; Announces FREE #iVoted NYC Concert at Irving Plaza w/ Lay Bankz, Connie Diiamond, and More

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

October 6th, 2025 – Music industry veteran Emily White and a deeply experienced team of industry leaders have announced the expansion of their non-profit work to launch Impact Data & Events. The non-partisan group is born out of 2018’s #iVoted, 2020’s record-breaking #iVoted Festival, 2022’s #iVoted Sweepstakes, and last year’s production of 18 #iVoted Concerts that MIT has shown increases voter turnout by over 7%.

Impact Data & Events has created a data-model in partnership with Johns Hopkins University’s SNF Agora Institute that determines the top trending talent in any location with the most unregistered and non-voting fans. The org has also built a tool that shows where any talent can have the largest impact on elections to strategically guide in-person appearances and digital campaigns. These tools encompass talent not limited to music, entertainment, sports, influencers, and more.

Says White, “#iVoted isn’t going anywhere and lives under the larger entity of Impact Data & Events. We’re excited to be announcing a free #iVoted NYC Concert for election night, November 4th, at Irving Plaza with incredible artists booked from our Johns Hopkins’ data. But we’ve since learned that the largest impact on turnout is made by registering the most new voters, which is exactly what our data shows. There are tens of thousands of artists in our data. Expanding our non-profit work allows us to run and partner with strategic campaigns to activate key talent, as well as the millions of artists that are releasing music, to ensure the music industry in particular is maximizing voter turnout at scale. Impact Data & Events allows us to produce #iVoted Concerts, as well as free shows that support the climate, mental health initiatives, cancel student / medical debt, and more. At the same time, we’re fortunate to be working with arguably the leading digital marketing visionary in the industry, Bryan Calhoun. Bryan and I realized we can reach the talent in our data via targeted digital campaigns that are precise to each location, while also scaling this work to make certain all artists are engaged for maximum impact.”

Impact Data & Events offers its groundbreaking data tools to all non-profits looking to increase civic impact and beyond. They similarly create custom data plans and strategies tailored to each partner and goal. The org is currently piloting the first ever custom artist branded direct to fan voter registration tool for this Fall’s historic New York City mayoral election by targeting the top trending artists in and from NYC, per Chartmetric, while running strategic marketing campaigns to maximize reach and impact.

This all culminates in a November 4th #iVoted NYC Concert in the heart of Manhattan at Irving Plaza on election night featuring performances by Lay Bankz, Connie Diiamond, JayR Rashiq, DJ Nick Seale, with HOT 97’s Miabelle hosting, and more. RSVP HERE by checking your voter registration with HeadCount or by submitting a selfie from outside of your polling place /  at home with a blank and unmarked ballot. Ineligible voters also have free options to RSVP to ensure all are welcome.

Adds White, “Our core will always be producing free, data-booked impact concerts that the public enters by taking tangible action while simultaneously increasing civic participation. But expanding our digital offerings with our data model and decades of music industry experience is a natural evolution in an era where the most pressing issues of our time are at our fingertips at what feels like every moment. Impact Data & Events is excited to unite the industry and our partners to maximize voter turnout and solve issues that affect our daily lives and society at large.”

The non-profit was originally founded by Emily White, Mike Luba, and Pat Sansone of Wilco, with board members including Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman, John Boyle, Amaechi Uzoigwe, Steve Ferguson, Dr. Jonathan Gruber, Kathryn Frazier, Dana Meyerson, Jay Byrd, Lawrence Peryer, Evangeline Elder, Joyce Dollinger, and more.

ABOUT IMPACT DATA & EVENTS

Impact Data & Events produces free, data-booked, world-class concerts the public takes tangible action to attend. The non-partisan non-profit has built a data model with Johns Hopkins University’s SNF Agora Institute identifying the top trending talent in any location on Google Maps with the most non-voting and unregistered fans. The 501(c)3 org creates data solutions while also providing custom tailored plans and execution for cutting edge nonprofits. Impact Data & Events additionally designs targeted digital campaigns specific to each location for nonprofit partners looking to amplify, activate, and execute their work and messaging with precision.
