Alicia Andrews Guilty Of Manslaughter In Julio Foolio Case

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

A Tampa jury found Alicia Andrews guilty of manslaughter in the 2024 death of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio. After an eight-day trial, the jury also found her not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. The manslaughter conviction is a lesser charge than the first-degree murder count she was initially facing.

Alicia Andrews Convicted of Manslaughter, Not First-Degree Murder

Alicia Andrews was found guilty of manslaughter rather than first-degree murder in the 2024 killing of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones. According to FOX 13 News, prosecutors said Andrews and her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, drove from Jacksonville to Tampa with three others to target Foolio as part of an ongoing gang dispute. Investigators said Andrews helped track and follow the rapper, and that the group used her phone and vehicle to avoid police detection.

However, Andrews’ defense attorneys argued she did not know the murder plot, claiming she was only accompanying her boyfriend, whom she described as controlling and abusive. Andrews is the first of five suspects charged in Foolio’s death to face trial. The four co-defendants, Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy, and Rashad Murphy, are scheduled to stand trial next year. Andrews is expected to be sentenced Dec. 8.

More On Jacksonville Rapper Julio Foolio

Julio Foolio, born Charles Jones, was 26 when he was killed on June 23, 2024. He was in Tampa, Florida, celebrating his birthday weekend when he was shot. Authorities reportedly linked Foolio’s murder to a longstanding gang feud involving multiple Florida groups. In 2021, Foolio gained viral attention for a public feud with fellow Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace, with both artists releasing diss tracks aimed at each other. Foolio’s most popular track, “When I See You,” has amassed more than 69 million views on YouTube since its release four years ago.

bitchy | Royalist: “King in all but name’ Prince William ‘masterminded Andrew’s disgrace’

Who is responsible for the “Andrew Mountbatten Windsor” situation? By that I mean, who negotiated the deal, who said enough is enough, who finally acted, weeks and months late, to banish Andrew? The terseness of the message from King Charles yesterday suggested, to me, that Charles had actually been locked in negotiation alongside various courtiers. The timing also suggests that Charles was ultimately the one making decisions – the past month of dithering, half-measures and ostriching was classic Charles. The palace line is that Charles made the decision in consultation with his family, and he sought their support on the move as well:

So what was the final nail in the coffin for King Charles? PEOPLE understands that the King reached his decision with the support of members of the royal family, including Prince William. While Andrew continues to deny the accusations against him, it is clear that there have been serious lapses of judgment from the King’s perspective.

As for why the King didn’t act sooner, PEOPLE understands that Charles acted swiftly following recent developments that made it possible for his brother to relinquish his titles and honors in the most immediate and efficient way possible. While a longer-term resolution to the complex legal and constitutional issues surrounding Andrew’s status took time to finalize, sources say the necessity of further action was never in doubt. The King’s decision follows behind-the-scenes discussions, legal consultation and support from the wider royal family to bring about a resolution without imposing on Parliamentary time.

[From People]

Yeah… this is not it. “We knew the whole time that we would need to punish Andrew even further!!” No you didn’t. Charles thought taking away the York titles would be it, and he seemed surprised that the public demanded even more. He misread the public mood for weeks, and he’s still misreading it now. But still, I feel just a little bit sorry for Charles at the moment. His unhinged heir is rushing to claim credit for Charles’s wheeling and dealing on Andrew. Keep in mind, William has been in the wind, on vacation somewhere for the past two weeks. But sure, this was ALL William. From Tom Sykes’s Royalist Substack, “William is King in All But Name After Masterminding Andrew’s Disgrace.”

Friends of Prince William have told The Royalist that the heir to the throne masterminded the operation to evict Andrew Mountbatten Windsor from Royal Lodge in the teeth of what he saw as his father’s weakness and vacillation on the matter. The palace statement and a supporting briefing document issued to the media yesterday sought to position Charles as the author of the decision to strip Andrew of all his titles and remove him from the palatial property. However, sources who know William scoffed at the suggestion.

One said, “Charles has been trying and failing to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge for the past three years. William did it in two weeks. William is King in all but name now.”

A friend of the Prince of Wales said that William stepped in after being left “dismayed” by the deal announced two weeks ago, which saw Andrew lose the use of his Duke of York title, but, crucially, keep Royal Lodge and continue as a Prince. The King’s team has now attempted to retroactively present that as an interim step, with yesterday’s briefing document stating that “the necessity of further action was never in doubt.”

However, it is quite clear that the King hoped at the time that the measures announced on October 17 would be enough. Briefing documents issued then made it crystal clear that Andrew’s tenancy agreement with the Crown Estate was “unaffected” and that he would stay a Prince, not very subtly seeming to blame Queen Elizabeth for this latter reality, saying his princely title was his by virtue of Letters Patent issued in 1917 by George V which were “updated” by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. This apportioning of blame was later made explicit in a disgraceful smear in the Sunday Times. This followed extensive briefing to the media by the King’s team that there was no way to remove Andrew’s titles.

The friend of William’s told The Royalist: “This is Andrew, so the solution was always going to be a pay-off. This is his father’s mess, and William wanted it cleaned up on his father’s watch.”

The notion that it is his “father’s mess” refers to deep unhappiness within William’s circle about the way Charles tried not only to rehabilitate Andrew, but to co-opt William and Kate into the effort by forcing them to drive Andrew to church in Balmoral in the summer of 2023, having invited Andrew to join the family’s Christmas Day photocall at Sandringham in 2022.

[From The Royalist Substack]

Multiple things can be true at once: one, William was right that the only solution was money; two, William is right that the York title removal was always a half-assed punishment with no meaning… and yet William still rushed to take credit for that as well! Which makes me think that this is less about William “being king in all but name” right now and more about him screaming and throwing hissy fits behind the scenes, and that’s his version of “doing it in two weeks.” William has always believed that he can just make pronouncements and things will be done – “I’m bored with racism,” etc – so William is claiming ownership of this situation simply because he rage-shrieked (from his vacation) to his father: “Andrew must go, strip all of his titles!”

bitchy | Reid: Prince Andrew’s scandals show that Britain owes the Sussexes an apology

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

As we recorded our first Gossip with Celebitchy podcast in months, CB and I talked about how the Prince Andrew situation blew up in the Windsors’ faces specifically because with the side-by-side comparison to how they treated the Sussexes. In my opinion, King Charles welcoming Andrew and Sarah Ferguson to so many public events (Christmas, Easter, funerals, the coronation) was always meant for an audience of one: Prince Harry. They were telling Harry, “this could have been your life, we would welcome you this way, if only you hadn’t left!” And now that everyone can plainly see just what an evil, degenerate, human-trafficking liar Andrew has always been, the Windsors just look crazy as hell. They look like they’re totally fine with all of Andrew’s depravity because he didn’t commit the ultimate sin of marrying a Black woman and moving out of the country. Well, the i Newspaper’s Rebecca Reid focused on this side-by-side comparison in a new column: “This is what a real royal scandal looks like – we owe Harry and Meghan an apology.” Six years too late, but sure.

There is so much that is sad about the story of the even-further-disgraced Prince Andrew and the late Virginia Giuffre. First and foremost is the trajectory of Giuffre’s life, which was cut horrifyingly short, and defined by the actions of the men who surrounded her as a teenager. But there are other sadnesses about this whole sordid mess, too. One is the way it puts in relief the previous most high profile royal “scandal”: the unhappiness and eventual departure of Harry and Meghan.

At the time, Harry and Megan’s defection from working royals to influencers/podcasters was a major controversy – one of the most serious the family had weathered in recent years. But now, in comparison to the miserable details alleged in Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, we can see it for what it is: extremely small fry.

It’s really quite staggering that in their years as working royals, Harry and Meghan managed to be at the centre of dozens of dramas. Yet none of them could be described as actually dangerous or evil. Yes, Meghan did accuse the royals of racism – which was a terrible blow for the family, but that was all part of a battle to drag the royals into the 21st century. What’s more, they were at least trying to be the kind of royals the country would embrace.

Just look at their insistence on paying for the Frogmore Cottage renovation to deflect allegations that they were indulgent, despite the fact that they were entirely entitled to a renovated home. Were they occasionally cringe or tone-deaf? Yes. And doesn’t that seem like a complete non-issue when you see what a real scandal looks like?

If someone was sitting in an office cranking out inoffensive plot lines for the couple, they couldn’t have done a better job. And yet if social media is anything to go by, Harry and Meghan appear to be held in the low regard as Andrew and Fergie. It’s profoundly depressing.

This is despite the fact that Prince Andrew is accused of allegedly asking his personal protection officer to “dig up dirt” on Virginia Giuffre, presumably to create a smear campaign against a victim of sexual abuse. It’s not uncommon to see Andrew and the Sussexes discussed in the same breath. They are seemingly unified by the embarrassment they cause to The Firm, as if being embroiled in a horrifying sex scandal and maintaining a friendship with a convicted sex offender (while lying about being friends with said convicted sex offender) is on par with being a bit earnest in interviews, asking for security and selling overpriced jams.

There were rumours last month that Prince Harry’s presence in the UK, and audience with his father, might signal a return to the family fold. The onus seemed to be placed on Harry, as if it was his responsibility to convince the Mountbatten-Windsor clan to allow him back into family life. But if King Charles and the rest of the gang have even an ounce of sense, the events of the last week, and the juxtaposition between Andrew and Harry, should clarify exactly how lucky the royals were to have Harry and Meghan. And how advantageous it would be to bring them back. The pair might be cack-handed on the public relations front and I don’t deny that they’ve got a special skill for annoying the British public. But compared to Prince Andrew they’re literal angels.

[From The i Newspaper]

While I take this column at face value and I believe she’s being sincere, this column was actually depressing as well. Like, it’s taken this long for someone to acknowledge this? British people could only step back and say “wait, the Sussexes never did anything scandalous” only after the scope of Andrew’s criminality, lies, trafficking and degeneracy came to a head in recent weeks? Y’all didn’t realize that BEFORE October 2025? Where are the critical thinking skills over there? And of course it’s been obvious since 2020 that the Windsors should beg the Sussexes to come back. The fact that the Windsors refuse to – and also refuse to acknowledge how much they actually need the Sussex family – says everything you need to know about the lack of long-term planning within the institution.

Prince Harry and King Charles III Are Not Speaking

Harry told the BBC May 2 that his father King Charles III won’t speak to him “because of this security stuff,” but added that “it would be nice to reconcile.”

The Duke of Sussex, who shares kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with Meghan, said that he would love to reconnect with his family. But the ball is in his dad’s court.

“I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he said. “It’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands, ultimately this whole thing could be resolved through him,” Harry added. “Not necessarily by intervening but by stepping aside and allowing the experts to do what is necessary and to carry on.”

Despite the years of conflict, he’s waving the white flag in hopes of reconciliation. He added, “Life is precious, I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

Dame Julie Andrews finally wins Emmy award for Bridgerton role

The 89-year-old actress was previously nominated for the Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance award in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and now in 2025 she has emerged victorious at last, beating off strong competition from Hank Azaria for The Simpsons, Maya Rudolph in Big Mouth, Alan Tudyk for Andor, Jeffrey Wright in What If…? and Invincible’s Steven Yeun.

2025 Creative Arts Emmys presenter Craig Robinson accepted the award on behalf of Andrews, who did not attend the ceremony.

Andrews was previously nominated at the Emmys for her role as Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton in 2021 and 2022 and again in 2023 for Queen Charlotte.

Bridgerton premiered on Netflix in 2020 and Andrews previously revealed she had never met any of her co-stars.

She told the Today show: “You know I’ve never met the company in person. Of course, I see them on the show sometimes. But I do all my recording far, far away from them.

“I think it’s gorgeous looking, and they’re all wonderful in it and they’re lovely people to work with. [Producer] Shonda Rhimes and the whole gang down, they’re terrific. And I’m thrilled that they asked me.”

Meanwhile, the top nominees were among the top winners on the first night of the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (06.09.25), which was devoted to scripted programming and animation.

The Studio, starring Seth Rogen (who cocreated it with longtime partner Evan Goldberg) won nine awards, followed by Colin Farrell’s The Penguin with eight Emmys and psychological drama Severance, with six.

Severance had led the way with 27 nominations, The Penguin had 24 and The Studio tied for third with The White Lotus at 23.

The Studio’s awards included guest actor in a comedy series for Bryan Cranston, contemporary costumes for a series; production design for a narrative show (half-hour); casting for a comedy series; picture editing for a single camera comedy series; sound editing for a comedy or drama series (half-hour); sound mixing for a comedy or drama series (half-hour) and animation; music supervision; and cinematography for a series (half-hour).

The Penguins awards included contemporary makeup (non-prosthetic); prosthetic makeup; contemporary costumes for a limited or anthology series or movie; contemporary hairstyling; special visual effects in a single episode; sound editing for a limited or anthology series, movie or special; sound mixing for a limited or anthology series or movie; and music composition for a limited or anthology series, movie or special (original dramatic score).

Julie Andrews Wins & Nearly Sets a Record at 2025 Creative Arts Emmys

Julie Andrews won her first Primetime Emmy in 20 years on Saturday (Sept. 6) – Night 1 of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which were presented at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live. Andrews won outstanding character voice-over performance for her portrayal of Lady Whistledown on Bridgerton.

The legendary star, who turns 90 on Oct. 1, is not the oldest woman to win a Primetime Emmy. Her longtime pal Carol Burnett was approaching 91 when she won most her most recent Emmy in January 2024. The two stars made three acclaimed TV specials together.

Andrews had won two previous Primetime Emmys – outstanding variety musical series in 1973 for her weekly series The Julie Andrews Hour, and outstanding non-fiction series in 2005 for hosting Broadway: The American Musical for PBS. Andrews has also won two Grammys and an Oscar. Unfortunately, the Broadway legend never won a Tony, despite three nominations, keeping her from EGOT status.

Mick Giacchino won his first Primetime Emmy – outstanding music composition for a limited or anthology series, movie or special for The Penguin. Giacchino is the son of famed composer Michael Giacchino, who won a Primetime Emmy 20 years ago for Lost. The elder Giacchino has also won an Oscar and three Grammys.

Christopher Lennertz won his first Primetime Emmy – outstanding music and lyrics for the song “Let’s Put the Christ Back in Christmas,” which he wrote for The Boys. Lennertz beat strong competition, including high-profile songs by SNL alums Adam Sandler and Amy Poehler.

Cristobal Tapia de Veer won his fourth Primetime Emmy, all earned for his work on The White Lotus. He won this year for outstanding original main title theme music.

Theodore Shapiro won outstanding music composition for a series (original dramatic score) for the second time for his work on Severance.

Gabe Hilfer won outstanding music supervision for his work on The Studio. It’s his second win in that category for his work on a buzzy series. He won two years ago for The White Lotus.

The Creative Arts Emmys are being presented over two nights, Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7. Highlights from the two ceremonies will air Saturday, Sept. 13, at 8 p.m. PT on FXX.
