“Something that really ties them together is how much they both adore doing these outrageous things, and so it makes total sense to them to have a wedding that plays to that,” a friend of the couple explained.

Tom Cruise, 63, has had a lifelong interest in traveling in space. A man who has trained with NASA and been in negotiations to shoot a movie on board the International Space Station, marrying in space is the perfect fit for his over-the-top image. “Tom is addicted to space travel, so the prospect of being the first wed couple in outer space really appeals to him,” the insider said.

Ana de Armas, 37, is said to have the same love for action-packed escapades as Cruise, making her the ideal companion for such a daring endeavor. The pair’s need to steer clear of anything “normal” is a prevailing theme in their wedding talks. “Whatever they do, they want it to be as far from ordinary as you can get,” the source stressed.

The pair have kept their romance pretty under wraps but were officially confirmed as dating in July after they were seen holding hands on a romantic holiday in Vermont. Their romance has happened at lightning speed, and there’s even gossip about them starring together in a supernatural ocean thriller called Deeper, although the project is in limbo.
