jasmine.4.t’s has teamed up with Jacob Alon for ‘Find Ur Ppl’ from charity compilation for ‘The Ally Coalition’ – listen below.

The forthcoming charity compilation, ‘All Things Go: 10 Years’, today (October 29) revealed jasmine.4.t’s ‘Find Ur Ppl’ featuring Alon. The full compilation will be released November 7th via Futures with all proceeds benefitting The Ally Coalition.

The compilation also includes Kesha, Maren Morris, Rachel Chinouriri, Medium Build, Bartees Strange, Maude Latour, Joy Oladokun, EMEI and more. It will be available digitally and on limited edition vinyl + CD. You can pre-order here.

Speaking about the new track, jasmine.4.t said: “‘Find Ur Ppl’ is a song I wrote a few years ago, early in my transition. This was when I first moved to Manchester and met my community, including my best friend Yulia Trot aka YBT, who put me up on her sofa and supported me in presenting as a woman for the first time.”

Jasmine.4.t also went on to reveal that Yulia is currently being held in prison as one of the Filton 24, who are alleged to have broken into an Israeli weapons factory in the UK.

Jasmine.4.t continued: “We recorded Find Ur Ppl originally for You Are The Morning (YBT Deluxe), an extended version of my debut record which is dedicated to Yulia. It means the world to me to release this new version of the song which features my friend (and recent Mercury Prize nominee!) Jacob Alon, who is a member of the queer community and very much one of the people I was hoping to find when I wrote this song.

“Their voice and their writing is so beautiful and I have been lucky enough to catch them live several times this year. Their voice brings so much to this song, and collaborating with them was really a dream come true.”

You can listen to it here:

Speaking to NME earlier this year, Jasmine.4.t – real name Jasmine Cruickshank – opened up about her love of Boygenius, signing to Phoebe Bridgers’ record label and touring with Lucy Dacus.

“There were so many incredible moments of watching how much they love and respect each other,” Cruickshank recalled of Boygenius. “I want to make music for the rest of my life with those guys. I fucking love those guys so much. They all brought such incredibly different things to the studio. Phoebe is so incredible at harmony and the craft of a song, the performance and was giving me such good notes.

“Lucy has the biggest impact on the editing of the lyrics and helping with the performance. Julien [Baker] brought so much with the guitar and I could never do that by myself.”

Alon meanwhile, spoke to NME recently about their Mercury Prize nomination, as well as the magical world of debut album ‘In Limerance’, working with Dan Carey, and their close friendship with Kae Tempest.

The Scottish art-folk star caught up with NME on the red carpet at the announcement of the Mercury Prize 2025 shortlist last month (Wednesday September 10).

“It packs a punch,” Alon told NME of their record. “There’s this thing called The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows, and it has these words that describe these very specific feelings. This isn’t in there, but it feels akin to that vibe. It describes this thing that I’ve done my whole life: the way that I’ve longed for versions of people that aren’t real, I’ve become infatuated and obsessed with the idea of someone rather than seeing them for who they truly are.

“It can become a sickness and take over your every waking thought. It traps you from really knowing someone and experiencing love.”

Alon is on tour throughout the autumn and winter. Visit here for tickets and more information.

Matty & Olympia Gain a Powerful New Ally Against Senior

by jummy84 October 24, 2025

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Matlock Season 2 Episode 3, “Tomorrow Is Still Tomorrow.”]

Justina Machado made a memorable debut in Matlock Season 2 Episode 3, an episode that should put fan concerns about Matty (Kathy Bates) and Olympia’s (Skye P. Marshall) bitter feud in the first two episodes to bed. Senior (Beau Bridges) battened down the hatches at Jacobson Moore after a reporter contacted the firm about the Wellbrexa case, leading to one honorable person stepping up to take responsibility as the whistleblower. Elsewhere, Eva sensed a shared enemy between her and Olympia. With that, there’s a new board member at Jacobson Moore who may be able to help take Senior down.

“Tomorrow Is Still Tomorrow” began with the firm’s board members gathering in New York for an emergency meeting after a reporter contacted the office about the Wellbrexa case. Matty missed her meeting with the New York Times reporter because of Olympia’s trickery in Episode 2, which made the journalist contact the law firm. The company’s security started interviewing staff to try and find out who leaked information about that high-profile opioids case from years ago. Only Matty, Olympia, Julian (Jason Ritter), and Senior know what really happened with the Wellbrexa study, but Emmalyn Belvin (Patricia Belcher) knew that something was awry with that case. Season 1 revealed that she was the Redditor. Her actions led to Matty and Edwin (Sam Anderson) beginning their secret mission in the first place.

Mrs. Belvin was one of the employees interviewed by security. She still has no idea that Matty was the one who blackmailed her last season, and that Matty has been getting close to her for her investigation (she does really like the woman as well, just like with Olympia). Olympia made a big snafu in her security interview when saying that when times get tough at work, she doesn’t go to The New York Times, she puts her head down and works harder. The issue is, no one ever said that it was a Times reporter who reached out. This was an immediate red flag, leading to another interview for Olympia.

Matty and Olympia needed a plan to protect her, and they thought Emmalyn was a good way out. They didn’t like the idea of pinning the leak on her, but it was the only viable option. But Emmalyn took it upon herself to take responsibility for the leak after Matty said that if a reporter is looking into Wellbrexa, then that means someone out there is trying to get justice for the families affected by the opioid crisis that the Wellbrexa case helped usher in. Emmalyn lost her job, but maintained her integrity, and Matty planned an exit party for her at a nearby bar. It wasn’t the retirement party she deserved after decades of working at the firm, but it was touching nonetheless. Matty and Edwin also gave her $500,000 in cash anonymously to pay for her every need while she figures out her next steps.

Eva was part of the board meeting and noticed that Olympia may have a similar dislike of Senior. Eva is Senior’s fourth ex-wife, and she keeps a celebratory widget on her phone that tracks the years and days that she has been divorced from the man. Clearly, they’re not amicable exes.

Eva approached Olympia about wanting to stage a “coup” against Senior. She doesn’t know that her desires align perfectly with Olympia’s, but for now, the fact that someone else on the Jacobson Moore board wants Senior gone makes Eva a powerful ally for Matty and Olympia’s cause.

This week’s reveal of Matty’s tricks showed her using Mrs. Belvin’s security credentials to get the Wellbrexa expense reports from the archives. This information details where Senior and one of his former lovers went to Australia during the heat of the Wellbrexa case. Before that reveal, Matty and Olympia met for a drink and reconciled their disagreement over Julian.

Olympia apologized for tricking her, and they struck a deal that will keep Julian out of the legal line of fire and focus on the bigger villain, Senior, instead. Olympia happily agreed not to “hijack” the investigation and to make Julian apologize to Matty’s family for his cowardly capitulation to his father’s orders all those years ago.

“I want Julian to face what his decision cost our family,” Matty said. From this point forward, Matty and Olympia are a united front once again.

Charlie Kirk Dead After Being Shot: Trump Ally Was 31

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder who helped mobilize the youth vote for Donald Trump, has died Wednesday after being shot during a college event in Utah, Trump announced on Truth Social. Kirk was 31.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote on Wednesday afternoon. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for Kirk, confirmed his death to The New York Times.

Kirk was attacked at about 12:10 p.m. while speaking with Utah Valley University students on his “American Comeback Tour.” A bullet penetrated his neck as he was answering a student’s question about mass shooters. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by his security. Graphic videos of the shooting circulated on social media as Republicans and Democrats shared prayers for Kirk on social media.

An initial suspect was put in handcuffs but later released, as police continue to look for the shooter. The FBI has launched an investigation alongside local law enforcement agencies.

Born in the Chicago suburbs, Kirk was a right-wing media personality and the CEO of Turning Point Action, a nonprofit political advocacy group that helped elect Trump to his second term. Connecting religious leaders with local politics, Kirk founded the spinoff organization Turning Point Faith, and he also developed Turning Point Academy with the mission of “reviving virtuous education.”

Kirk was perhaps best known for his viral “Prove Me Wrong” videos, in which he set up a table on college campuses and welcomed students to debate him on select topics. On his radio program, “The Charlie Kirk Show,” he endorsed conservative cultural viewpoints and often railed against liberal beliefs relating to climate change, critical race theory and gun control.

Kirk often sparked controversy for his viewpoints. He opposed gay marriage and advocated against mask mandates during the pandemic. Following Trump’s loss in 2020, he propagated disproven claims about election fraud.

In the lead-up to Trump’s reelection in 2024, Kirk became one of the most recognizable faces in the MAGA movement and one of the key operators in the effort to swing the youth vote red. His prominence in modern political culture is epitomized by a recent parody of his “Prove Me Wrong” concept on “South Park.”

Kirk’s success in reaching young voters online and promoting conservative beliefs and values at universities was acknowledged by Democrats who wished to replicate Turning Point’s influence on the left. “I’ve got to admire what you’ve been able to do, not to weaponize, but to organize on these college campuses a different point of view,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom told Kirk in the inaugural episode of his podcast earlier this year. The governor, one of the leading Democratic figures in the fight against Trump, denounced the Sept. 10 attack against Kirk as “disgusting, vile, and reprehensible” on social media, adding, “In the United States of America, we must reject political violence in EVERY form.” The nation’s top political figures including JD Vance, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders and more also condemned the assassination.

Kirk is survived by his wife Erika Frantzve and their two children.
