Mary Steenburgen, Jane Fonda & Candice Bergen

Diane’s Book Club costars each shared individual tributes for the late actress.

The Elf actress emphasized that her late friend was “magic.”

“There was no one, nor will there ever be, anyone like her,” she wrote in a statement. “I loved her and felt blessed to be her friend. My love to her family. What a wonder she was!!!”

“It’s hard to believe…or accept…that Diane has passed,” Jane wrote in her own Instagram post. “She was always a spark of life and light, constantly giggling at her own foibles, being limitlessly creative… in her acting, her wardrobe, her books, her friends, her homes, her library, her worldview. Unique is what she was. And, though she didn’t know it or wouldn’t admit it, man she was a fine actress!”

Meanwhile, Candice wrote in her post, “This is a huge loss, both personally and for all of us.”

The Miss Congeniality actress continued, “Diane was a true artist – tremendously gifted and uniquely talented in so many disciplines, yet also modest and wonderfully eccentric. I will miss her terribly.”

Hailee Steinfeld on Josh Allen Marriage Changing Lifestyle

Hailee Steinfeld has learned to appreciate a timeout.

The Sinners star revealed that her relationship with Josh Allen—who she tied the knot with in May following two years of dating—has taught her to enjoy a slower pace of life, especially when it comes to her career.

After all, the Buffalo Bills quarterback’s job requires a very consistent routine, while her acting schedule is constantly changing.

“What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule,” Hailee explained to Variety in an interview published Oct. 3. “So it’s actually a blessing—I try to organize my time so I can be where he is.”

And with Josh, 29, currently in the midst of the NFL’s 2025 regular season, the Oscar nominee, 28, said she is presently enjoying some downtime so she can cheer him on during his games.

“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life,” she continued. “When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.”

In the past, taking time off work wasn’t exactly a regular occurrence for Hailee.

Watch Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White Discuss Their New Movie on Kimmel

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Last night (October 2), both Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White sat down on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss their respective work careers and where those paths now cross: the upcoming biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. During the TV show segment, White talked about what it was like to portray the Boss while Springsteen watched him on set, Springsteen talked about his upcoming Nebraska ’82 box set with the long-rumored electric version of the album, and more. Watch it go down below.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere hits theaters on October 24. The film follows Springsteen during the creation of his 1982 album Nebraska. The movie also stars Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager; Marc Maron as producer Chuck Plotkin; Johnny Cannizzaro as Steven Van Zandt; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Bruce Springsteen’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as a love interest name Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mother, Adele; and David Krumholtz as Columbia Records executive Al Teller.

Long sought-after by fans, Electric Nebraska is the informal title of the album that Springsteen and the E Street Band recorded in 1982 from a collection of demos for his follow-up to The River. Preferring his originals, Springsteen ended up scrapping the full-band versions and instead released the stripped-down versions we now know as Nebraska – with a few electric songs being held back to appear on the later release Born in the U.S.A. Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition arrives October 17 via Sony.

Read Mark Richardson’s review of Nebraska and see where the album lands in “The 200 Best Albums of the 1980s.

Lily Allen has reportedly described herself as a “recovering addict” and “raging codependent” on the celebrity dating app Raya.

Lily Allen has reportedly described herself as a ‘recovering addict’ and ‘raging codependent’ on the celebrity dating app Raya

The singer, 40, is said to have returned to the platform following her split from actor David Harbour, 50, which ended last year after she allegedly discovered he was hunting for women online.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Lily is advertising herself as a) recovering addict and raging codependent (on Raya.”

An insider also told the outlet about Lily allegedly discovering David searching for women on the celebrity dating app while they were married: “Lily (signed up and) was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing.”

Her new Raya profile reportedly includes a photograph of her in black see-through lingerie, alongside the tagline introducing herself with the candid confession.

Lily and David married in 2020 but separated in 2023, with their divorce finalised in 2024.

Last month, Lily confirmed she had moved out of the New York townhouse she shared with David and was now redecorating a new home in west London, an ex-council flat where she will live with her two daughters.

The Smile singer has also been spotted dating since her separation.

In the summer she was seen at a London music festival with actor James Norton.

But their meeting did not develop further, as James was later seen at Glastonbury with stylist Flora Huddart.

Lily has spoken openly in the past about her struggles with addiction and co-dependency.

The singer – whose dad is actor Keith Allen and brother is Game of Thrones actor Alfie – rose to fame with her 2006 debut album Alright, Still, which featured hits such as Smile and LDN.

Known for her sharp lyrics and eclectic style, she followed with the chart-topping It’s Not Me, It’s You in 2009.

After a brief hiatus, she returned with Sheezus (2014) and No Shame (2018), the latter nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Beyond music, Lily has acted on stage, most notably in the West End play 2:22 A Ghost Story.

She is also recognised for her outspoken views and memoir My Thoughts Exactly.

Jeremy Allen White Has Read the Script for ‘The Social Network’ Sequel

The 63rd New York Film Festival brought The Boss to Alice Tully Hall for the NYC premiere of “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.” Jeremy Allen White transforms into iconic rocker Bruce Springsteen for the biopic, which is set in the early ’80s during the recordings of “Born in the USA” and “Nebraska,” and co-stars Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffmann, and Odessa Young.

We caught up with White on the red carpet, who will soon go into production for the sequel to “The Social Network,” titled “The Social Reckoning.” “I have read the script, but I can’t tell you anything,” White told IndieWire. As for whether he has connected with writer and director Aaron Sorkin, White said, “Yeah, of course.” He will also reunite with Strong in this film. “I feel like every October Jeremy and I should do a movie together,” he joked.

Last week we asked Andrew Garfield, star of the first film, if there was any chance he would return for this one. “No, no,” Garfield told IndieWire. “Eduardo [Saverin] is in Singapore having a good time.” And is the actor excited to eventually see it? “Oh yeah.”

The film will open in theaters on October 9, 2026. And alongside White and Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg, Mikey Madison and Bill Burr will also star. Sorkin’s original screenplay for the film tells the true story of how Frances Haugen (Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets.

But Sunday night at NYFF was all about all things Springsteen. In David Ehrlich’s review for “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” he writes that it “is a semi-desolate sketch of a biopic about a depressed 32-year-old man who channel surfs across a much better movie on TV one night in the fall of 1981. The man is Bruce Springsteen (a possessed Jeremy Allen White), the movie is Terrence Malick’s “Badlands,” and its story of a Korean War vet who takes his 15-year-old girlfriend on a killing spree across the American heartland gives the wayward rock god a newfound sense of direction that just might save his life.”

It is the latest musical biopic starring an in-demand rising actor: “A Complete Unknown” landed a slew of Academy noms, including a Best Actor nod for Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan. The four-part Beatles biopic is also in the works, with Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.

20th Century Studios will release “Deliver Me from Nowhere” in theaters on Friday, October 24. Check out the trailer here.

Next month brings the release of Deliver Me From Nowhere, the Bruce Springsteen biopic about the making of his seminal album Nebraska. A new trailer for the film premiered during Sunday’s Emmy Awards, which can be seen below.

Written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) and adapted from Warren Zanes’ 2023 biography, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, the film chronicles the development of the 1982 album. Coming off the blockbuster success of The River, Springsteen retreated to his bedroom with a four-track recorder, crafting a raw, intimate set of songs. Despite label pressure to release full-band versions, he ultimately stuck with the haunting home recordings — the very ones that became Nebraska.

Jeremy Allen White stars as Springsteen, with Jeremy Strong playing the musician’s manager, Jon Landau. The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Marc Maron, Gabby Hoffman, Stephen Graham, and Johnny Cannizzaro. Deliver Me From Nowhere will be released in theaters on October 24th.

To coincide with the film’s release, Springsteen has announced Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition, a five-disc collection featuring a remastered version of the original album, the fabled electric version of Nebraska, solo outtakes from the era, and a newly shot performance film of the album captured at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. Pre-orders are now ongoing.

Baroness' founding drummer Allen Blickle has died, aged 42

Baroness’ founding drummer Allen Blickle has died, aged 42

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Baroness have confirmed the death of founding drummer Allen Blickle, aged 42.
“It breaks my heart to have to share the news that my dear friend, creative partner and former bandmate Allen Blickle passed away a few days ago,” Baroness frontman John Dyer Baizley wrote in a statement on social media.

“I’m still in shock that he’s gone. We ask for understanding as his family and this band process his passing and grieve his loss. Allen, I love you and miss you. I treasure every moment we shared.”

Baizley’s confirmation comes a day after rumours began circulating of Allen Blickle’s death. While a cause of death has yet to be made public, Laura Pleasants of the band Kylesa wrote on Monday, suggesting that Blickle was ill: “I was so heartbroken… finding out how the past month was. I am just gutted, dude. We all thought you had this thing beat. Fuck, we were supposed to hang out when i got back from tour…  Gone too soon my friend. I’m glad you are at peace and no longer in pain.”

Blickle formed Baroness in 2003 alongside vocalist/guitarist Baizley, bassist Summer Welch, and guitarist Tim Loose. Loose left the band in 2003, and was replaced by Blickle’s brother Brian, who was later replaced by Pete Adams in 2008.

Allen Blickle featured on the band’s acclaimed first three albums: 2007’s ‘Red’, 2009’s ‘Blue’ and 2012’s ‘Yellow & Green’. In 2013, the band were involved in a bus crash while out on tour, resulting in the vehicle falling over 30 feet. The crash resulted in Allen Blickle and then-bassist Matt Maggioni fracturing their vertebrae and leaving the band the following year.

Reflecting on the accident and his recovery to The Fader in 2013, Blickle said his brush with death forced him to re-evaluate his life and revealed that his relationship with his former bandmates strained after his departure: “After the accident, there was space put between us that I regret to say was mostly my fault. I was in some way pushing myself in another direction. I didn’t know how to handle the horrible situation we all went through, but who does?

“It’s not easy and continues to be somewhat difficult. I do miss playing with them and I have relayed to them that when the time is right, I would like to be on the road again. It’s not up to me at this point. I just don’t want any resentment to build between any of us. We are old friends and have worked really hard together for years. Friends first — that’s the most important thing to remember.”

Following his departure from Baroness, Blickle would drum for Romantic Dividends, A Place to Bury Strangers and Alpaca. Most recently, he worked in TV and film as a composter and sound design artist. Some of his biggest works include Netflix’s 2020 series We Are The Champions.

Luca Guadagnino on Woody Allen Influence on ‘After the Hunt’

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Luca Guadagnino‘s academia cancel-culture thriller “After the Hunt” (Amazon/MGM Studios) is the Italian filmmaker’s latest work to premiere at the Venice Film Festival. It stars Julia Roberts as a Yale philosophy professor, who’s unraveling amid a sexual-assault accusation made by her student (Ayo Edebiri) against her colleague (Andrew Garfield).

From a script by first-time feature writer Nora Garrett, Guadagnino’s third feature in three years plays out of competition in Venice, with the director joined by Roberts, Michael Stuhlbarg, Garfield, Edebiri, and Chloë Sevigny on the Lido. During Friday’s press conference in the Palazzo del Casino, the actors tangled with the film’s thorny topics, which deal not only with assault but also race relations in the academic world and the ideological divide between generations.

George Clooney in Jay Kelly

Given the film’s cancel-culture overtures, it’s noteworthy and not by accident that the film’s opening credits are in the style of a Woody Allen movie: in the Windsor typeface and white text against a black screen, in alphabetical order, and acknowledging said alphabetical order. Eagle-eyed audiences will ponder the connection between an artist who’s become persona non grata in American culture and Roberts as a professor who is facing accusations and persecution of her own.

During the Friday morning press conference, IndieWire asked Luca Guadagnino why those opening credits share an aesthetic with a Woody Allen movie. “The crass answer would be why not?” the “Call Me By Your Name” filmmaker said. “There is a canon that I grew up with, and why I started thinking about this movie with my collaborators, in front of the camera and behind the camera, we couldn’t stop thinking of ‘Crimes and Misdemeanors’ or ‘Another Woman’ or even ‘Hannah and Her Sisters,’ and there was an infrastructure to the story that felt linked to the great oeuvre of Woody Allen between 1985 and 1991.”

He added, “I played with that a few times before this, a couple of times used that kind of graphic and font, and I felt it was also interesting thinking of an artist who has been, in a way, facing some sort of problems about his being and what is our responsibility in looking at the work of an artist that we love, like Woody Allen. And by the way, it’s a classic font, that kind of font. It goes beyond Woody.”

Roberts said it’s “not so much that we’re making a statement” with the hot-button film. “We’re sharing these lives for this moment and want everyone to go talk to each other after… we are kind of losing the art of conversation in humanity right now, and if making this movie does everything, getting everyone to talk to each other is the most exciting thing we can accomplish.

Who Was Natasha Allen? 5 Things About the TikTok Star Who Died at 28 – Hollywood Life

Natasha Allen was a rising TikTok creator who shared her journey with synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Over the years, she built a community of nearly 200,000 followers by documenting her treatments, struggles, and moments of hope, inspiring countless viewers with her honesty and strength. In August 2025, Natasha tragically passed away. A tribute posted to her social media pages confirmed the heartbreaking news and described her as “a beautiful soul full of love, kindness, and joy.” Her death left fans grieving while also reflecting on the powerful legacy she left behind through her storytelling and advocacy.

Find out more about her below.

She Was a Rising TikTok Creator

Natasha built a following of nearly 200,000 on TikTok and over 36,000 on Instagram, where she shared pieces of her daily life and her journey with cancer. Her openness, humor, and honesty about living with a terminal illness set her apart, and she quickly became a recognizable voice in the #CancerTok community.

Natasha Was Diagnosed With Synovial Sarcoma

Natasha was first diagnosed in 2020, when doctors found a malignant tumor in her knee. At the time, her cancer was staged at Stage 3 synovial sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer. Despite undergoing treatment, the disease eventually returned and spread to her lungs and other parts of her body by late 2021, advancing to Stage 4.

What Is Synovial Sarcoma?

Synovial sarcoma is a rare and aggressive cancer that typically develops in the soft tissues near joints, most often in the arms, legs, or trunk. Though it accounts for only about 1 in 100 of all cancers, it is more likely to affect young adults and teenagers. Because it is so uncommon, it is often misdiagnosed or detected late, which makes treatment more difficult. Symptoms can include swelling, pain, or a noticeable mass, and survival rates vary widely depending on when it’s discovered. Natasha used her platform to highlight how little awareness exists about this cancer and why more research is needed.

The TikTok Star Passed Away at 28

Natasha passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 28.

Her Family and Followers Are Mourning Her Loss

Tributes poured in from Natasha’s family, friends, and thousands of followers online. Supporters remembered her as someone who remained positive despite the odds, often reminding viewers to “find meaning in your own life” and to make the world better in whatever way possible. Her GoFundMe, which was originally set up to help with treatment costs, was repurposed to honor her memory and support synovial sarcoma awareness. The overwhelming response underscored just how many people Natasha touched with her strength, honesty, and hope.
