Denise Richards testifies on alleged abuse by estranged husband in hearing – National

Denise Richards broke down in tears in a courtroom Monday as she revealed details about the alleged abuse she endured from her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took the stand during a hearing related to her temporary restraining order against Phypers, 53.

Richards, 54, became emotional as she spoke about the alleged abuse and claimed that Phypers “would often threaten to throw me through the windows and off balconies” of hotels, People reports.

“He’s almost killed me so many damn times,” Richards said.

Richards shared what led to their split on July 4, when she asked her estranged husband to leave their shared townhouses.

“He got very angry at me and volatile, he got very close to me,” Richards alleged. “I had just recovered from a full facelift and I still had stitches behind my ears, and I felt extremely vulnerable.”

“He would get as close as a couple inches from my face,” Richards testified. “He would grab my arms and he would yell, call me names.”

Richards told the court that she was feeling “extremely vulnerable and in pain” and allegedly asked Phypers to go stay at their old house, where his family was living at the time.

“Emotionally, it was hard for me to understand. Especially with having what he has done for a living, working in the wellness space, that he would know how much that this would affect me emotionally too,” she said. “And it just made me feel vulnerable, it made me feel scared, it made me feel sad. It made me feel intimidated by him. He’s very big.”

Richards recalled an incident that she said took place in April, when she woke up to Phypers allegedly squeezing her head.

“In April, we had gotten back from a work trip. We were lying on the couch, and he wanted to watch a show and stream it from my phone, so we were watching a TV show and I fell asleep on the couch,” she recalled.

“I woke up to him squeezing my head with his hands. My heart started beating so fast. He said, ‘You f—ing b—-, I just saw you’ve been talking to Rudy.’ I was shocked because my phone was opened to stream, he was able to get in and see my messages.”

“I thought I had deleted them, but I hadn’t,” Richards continued. “He started to get louder, and I told him to be quiet and that the girls are sleeping upstairs.”

Phypers did not take the stand during Monday’s hearing.

In court documents, filed on Sept. 29 and viewed by Fox News Digital, Phypers’ lawyers named Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville and Richard’s ex-husband Charlie Sheen as witnesses.

Richards is mom to daughters Sami Sheen, 21, and Lola Sheen, 20, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Sheen. Richards filed for divorce from Sheen in March 2005 after nearly three years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in November 2006.

Phypers’ lawyers reportedly said that Sheen could testify regarding “Denise’s history of not being truthful and of drug and alcohol abuse.”

Richards responded to Phypers’ witness list by filing an objection on Sept. 30, Fox News Digital reports.

“This person is not a percipient witness to abuse committed by Petitioner against Respondent,” the document said of both Sheen and Glanville.

Phypers filed for divorce from Richards, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing their date of separation as July 4 after six years of marriage.

A judge granted Richards a temporary restraining order against Phypers on July 16, after she accused her estranged husband of years of physical and verbal abuse.

Richards filed the temporary restraining order against Phypers, claiming that he “regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help − none of which ever happened.”

In court documents, viewed by USA Today and other outlets, Richards wrote that Phypers “has caused me at least three concussions.”

Richards said in court filings that throughout her marriage to Phypers, he has “threatened to kill me and himself and the police. He owns at least 8 unregistered guns.”

The Wild Things actor also attached several photos to the filing, including one in which she has a black eye, claiming it was a result of Phypers’ abuse.

Phypers denied Richards’ claims in a Sept. 15 filing and alleged that she “attacked” and “harassed” him “many times,” according to People, which has viewed the court filing.

“I have not abused her and will not abuse her,” he reportedly said in the filing.

Phypers also denied all allegations of mental and physical abuse in a statement to People in July.

“I want to address recent rumors and speculation that have surfaced regarding my relationship with my wife, Denise Richards,” he told People.

“Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise – or anyone. These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful. Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue. I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect.

“I ask for privacy as we navigate personal matters, and I hope that the public and media will refrain from spreading harmful and baseless claims.”

Where Is She Now? — Ed Gein’s Alleged Girlfriend – Hollywood Life

There is one crucial figure in the story of grave-robbing killer Edward “Ed” Gein: Adeline Watkins. She claimed to have been Gein’s girlfriend and is played by actress Suzanna Son in Netflix’s Monster: The Ed Gein Story. The series prompted viewers’ curiosity in the real-life Wisconsin woman and her alleged connection to the “Butcher of Plainfield.” So, was Watkins really Gein’s girlfriend, and what happened to her?

Hollywood Life has all the details we know so far about Watkins below.

Who Is Ed Gein?

Also called the “Butcher of Plainfield,” Gein was a serial killer and grave robber that committed his crimes in Plainfield, Wisconsin, during the 1950s. Police discovered that he had exhumed buried corpses from their graves and kept their remains in the form of keepsakes in his home. He composed masks, bowls, a lampshade and more at-home appliances from human skin, bones and body parts. Gein also admitted to the murders of tavern owner Mary Hogan in 1954 and hardware store owner Bernice Worden in 1957.

Gein’s gruesome crimes gripped the nation throughout the ’50s and ’60s. He was arrested in 1957 and was kept in a mental health facility until he was fit to stand trial. In 1968, he was deemed legally insane and spent the rest of his life at the Mendota Mental Health Institute until he died in 1984 from respiratory failure. He was 77.

Who Is Adeline Watkins to Ed Gein?

Watkins, a Plainfield, Wisconsin, resident, claimed to have been Gein’s girlfriend for 20 years. Gein never confirmed or denied it.

Shortly after Gein’s 1957 arrest, Watkins spoke with the Minneapolis Tribune and described her and Gein’s alleged years-long relationship.

“Eddie and I discussed books,” she claimed at the time. “We never read the same ones, but we liked to talk about them anyway. … I guess we discussed every murder we ever heard about. Eddie told [me] how the murderer did wrong, what mistakes he had made. I thought it was interesting.”

Watkins claimed that Gein proposed to her on their final date in 1955, but she rejected him.

“I turned him down, but not because there was anything wrong with him,” she said. “It was something wrong with me. I guess I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to live up to what he expected of me. … I loved him and I still do.”

Calling Gein “Eddie,” Watkins described him as “so nice.” However, she later changed her statements about Gein and told the Plainfield Sun that she was never Gein’s “sweetheart,” just a friend.

“There was no 20-year romance,” she said.

Where Is Adeline Watkins Now?

Watkins disappeared from the spotlight after she walked back on her statements about an alleged romance with Gein. It’s unclear what happened to her.

Kyren Lacy had a prominent college football career and future in the sport, but he unfortunately died in April 2025. The former Louisiana State University player was found dead on April 12 months after his alleged hit-and-run car accident took place. As details about Lacy’s death circulate, his legal case has also re-emerged. Learn what happened to Lacy below.

Who Was Kyren Lacy?

Lacy was a football wide receiver for LSU, and he was declaring for the 2025 NFL draft.

How Old Was Kyren Lacy?

Lacy was 24 years old when he died, according to multiple outlets.

Kyren Lacy’s Car Accident Case

Just months before his tragic death, Lacy was involved in a legal issue. Per ESPN, the late athlete was accused of being involved in a hit-and-run car accident, which ultimately killed a 78-year-old man on December 17, 2024. In January of this year, Lacy turned himself into the authorities and was jailed for a brief time before being released on a $151,000 bail.

According to a Louisiana State Police press release, Lacy was allegedly driving a 2023 Dodge Charger vehicle on Highway 20 in December 2024 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated no-passing zone.”

“As Lacy was illegally passing the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup truck abruptly braked and swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the approaching Dodge,” the press release continued. “Traveling behind the pickup was a 2017 Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved left to avoid the oncoming Dodge Charger. As the Kia Cadenza took evasive action to avoid impact with the Dodge, it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento.”

Louisiana State Police also alleged in its news release that Lacy drove around the crash site, then fled the scene “without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement in the crash.”

Lacy’s agent, Rocky Arceneaux, insisted that his client was “fully cooperating with the authorities,” according to ESPN.

In October 2025, Lacy’s attorney argued that her deceased client was 70 yards behind the car accident that unfolded.

Kyren Lacy’s Cause of Death

An official cause of death for Lacy was not immediately disclosed, but it was later revealed that he died by suicide. He was found dead on April 12, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

A fan was reportedly pepper-sprayed during a Turnstile concert in Richmond, Virginia last Wednesday, September 24. The Baltimore hardcore band closed their set at Brown’s Island with “Birds” from their new album Never Enough, during which concertgoers are typically invited to join them onstage.

In a video circulated widely by CBS 6 News, one fan attempts to climb onto the stage, at which point they appear to be pepper-sprayed by a sheriff’s deputy. Turnstile bassist Franz Lyons can also be seen covering his eyes and running towards the back of the stage.

On Friday, September 26, Richmond Sheriff Antionette Irving told CBS 6 that the alleged pepper spray incident is currently under investigation. Charlie Kirk's Widow Says She Forgives His Alleged Assassin

Charlie Kirk’s Widow Says She Forgives His Alleged Assassin

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

UPDATE: In the most moving moment of Charlie Kirk‘s memorial service, his widow, Erika Kirk, said that she forgives his alleged killer.

Fighting back tears, Kirk said, “My husband Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life.”

“That young man. That young man. On the cross, our savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.” He voice then went into a whisper. “That man, that young man. I forgive him.”

“I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would. do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer, we know ffrom the gospel, is love, and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”

Erika Kirk is taking over Turning Point USA, the organization that her husband co-founded and built into a conservative group with a focus on college-age Americans.

Erika Kirk: “My husband Charlie he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life…On the cross, our savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.’ That young man. I forgive him.” pic.twitter.com/jy8W7YrmVs

— CSPAN (@cspan) September 21, 2025

In her remarks, Erika Kirk said that her husband “Passionately wanted to reach and save the lost boys of the West, the young men who feel like they have no direction, no purpose, no faith and no reason to live; the men wasting their lives on distraction, and the men consumed with resentment, anger and hate. Charlie wanted to help them. He wanted them to have a home with Turning Point USA, and when he went onto campus, he was looking to show them a better path and a better life that was right there for the taking.”

PREVIOUSLY: Elon Musk joined President Donald Trump to watch Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, with the White House posting a shot of the two shaking hands.

Musk and Trump had a very public falling out in June, shortly after Musk officially departed his role as an adviser to the president and leader of the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk had blasted the signature piece of Trump’s legislative agenda, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. After Trump criticized Musk, Musk said that he would have lost the election without him. “Such ingratitude,” he wrote on X. He later posted that Trump “was in the Epstein files.” “That is the real reason they have not been made public.”

Trump later threatened Musk’s government contracts.

Musk has tamped down his criticism, and while he’s continued to be outspoken on X, he no longer draws headlines liked he once did. He had vowed to start a new political party, the America Party, but it has yet to get off the ground.

PREVIOUSLY: Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. recalled Charlie Kirk as a champion for free speech.

“He understood that the free flow of information was the soil, the water, the sunlight for democracy,” Kennedy said. “He understood democracy’s great advantage was that our policies were former by ideas that had triumphed in a marketplace of debate and conversation.”

“He thought that conversation was the only way to heal our country, and this was important, particularly important during the technological age when we are all hooked into social algorithms that are hacked into the reptilian cores of our brain and amplify our impulses for tribalism and for division,” Kennedy said. “He felt the only way to overcome that biological impulse was with a spiritual fire and with developing community, and the only way to develop community was through conversation. And so he always gave the biggest microphone to the people who were most passionately aligned against him, because he believed that we need to talk to each other and that we needed to be able to say what we mean, without saying it mean.”

Earlier this week, Kennedy said that Kirk was the “primary architect” of his joining Donald Trump’s presidential campaign last fall. Kennedy abandoned his presidential bid and endorsed Trump.

In the aftermath of Kirk’s death, Trump and members of his administration have sought to crack down on critics. Trump filed a $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times, while his FCC chairman, Brendan Carr, threatened ABC stations because of a remark that Jimmy Kimmel made on his show about the suspect in Kirk’s killing. ABC has pulled Kimmel’s show off the air indefinitely.

When he was killed, Kirk had been appearing on a college tour at Utah Valley University, and was shot as he was in the midst of a debate exchange over the issue of transgender individuals involved in mass shootings.

PREVIOUSLY: Stephen Miller, the top adviser to President Donald Trump, gave a fiery speech in which he cast those carrying on Charlie Kirk’s legacy as warriors fighting evil.

“The day that Charlie died, the angels wept, but those tears had been turned into fire in our hearts, and that fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand.”

He said that when he sees Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, “I am reminded of a famous expression. ‘The storm whispers to the warrior that you cannot withstand my strength, and the warrior whispers back, ‘I am the storm.’ Erika is the storm. We are the storm. And our enemies cannot comprehend our strength, our determination, our resolve, our passion.”

He added, “The cannot conceive of the army that they have arisen in all of us because we stand for what is good, what is virtuous, what is novle. And to those trying to incite violence against us, those trying to foment hatred against us, what do you have? You have nothing. You are nothing. You have wickeness. You are jealousy. You are envy. You are hatred.”

Miller, like some of the other speakers, also seemed to blame Kirk’s assassination on something amorphous, although Trump has cast blame on the “radical left.”

“You thought you could kill Charlie Kirk. You have made him a mortal. You have immortalized Charlie Kirk, and now millions will carry on his legacy,” Miller said.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated on Sept. 10 as he spoke at an outdoor event on the campus of Utah Valley University. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Authorities pointed to evidence that Robinson got more political to the left fairly recently, but they have so far not announced any evidence of involvement by other individuals or outside groups.

PREVIOUSLY: Speakers at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service have shared a similar theme to the tens of thousands in the crowd at State Farm Stadium: Carry on Charlie Kirk’s legacy.

“You cannot be the land of the free if you are not the home of the brave,” said Ben Carson, the 2016 presidential candidate and former secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Jack Posobiec, the right wing political activist and friend of Kirk’s, held up a rosary and said to the crowd, “No more. We are done with all of it and we will fight.”

At points, the memorial took on the tone of a religious revival, with speakers pointing out that Kirk was more than a political influencer but a figure who was trying to counter a secularism.

Posobiec said, “We will find that western civilization was changed by Charlie’s sacrifice, by returning people to an almighty God.”

Benny Johnson, the podcaster, called Kirk a “martyr” in the “true Christian tradition.”

“If you take down a tyrant, his power goes away. If you cut down a martyr, his power grows,” Johnson said. Johnson said that the apostle Paul said that “rulers wield the sword for the protection of good men and for the terror of evil men. May we pray that our rulers here … wield the sword for the terror of evil men in our nation, in Charlie’s memory.”

PREVIOUSLY: President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and a host of administration figures were due to speak at a memorial to Charlie Kirk, the conservative influencer whose assassination been met with condemnation of political violence but a new debate over freedom of speech.

Tens of thousands were gathered at State Farm Stadium, which can seat more than 63,000 people.

In additional to members of the Trump administration, among those spotted was Elon Musk, who had a very public falling out with the president in May. Also scheduled to speak was Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, who will now lead the group that he co-founded, Turning Point USA.

The memorial stands to be a mixture of a somber and religious gathering, with moments of prayer, and a rally to continue his legacy, as those in the crowd had signs that read, “This is our Turning Point.”

As bagpipers opened the service to Amazing Grace, Fox News has been providing the most comprehensive coverage among the major news networks, while CNN has had an extensive focus on the event, while MSNBC has been providing reports from Arizona. Newsmax also has been carrying the memorial with correspondents and anchors inside and outside the stadium.

Interestingly, for all the FCC talk of late about probes over broadcast network content, ABC, NBC, CBS and, most surprisingly, Fox were not covering the Kirk memorial Sunday – at least on the West Coast. Close to the same time zone of the Glendale, AZ-held event, CBS had informericals on Golf Resorts and Personal Data, and NBC had the 2025 World Athletics Championships from Tokyo. Leading into the WNBA playoffs and the Indiana Fever playing the Las Vegas Aces, ABC had “Paid Programming at 11 am PT,” while Fox went for the big NFL numbers with the LA Rams clashing with current Super Bowl champs the Philadelphia Eagles in the City of Brotherly Love.

The broadcast networks have been carrying the memorial service on their streaming channels, as have other outlets like C-SPAN.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated on Sept. 10 as he spoke at an outdoor event on the campus of Utah Valley University. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Corridos star Junior H is the latest Mexican artist to receive alleged death threats from a drug cartel ahead of his upcoming tour dates in the region. According to Billboard, the Mexican state of Baja California prosecutor’s office is investigating an ominous banner found at his home.

According to authorities, the banner was found at the Mexican-American artist’s home in the Buena Vista neighborhood of Tijuana, warning him not to perform at the city’s Explanada del Estadio Caliente on November 9th. That concert is currently set as the kick-off show of the Mexican leg of Junior H’s “$AD BOYZ LIVE & BROKEN TOUR.”

Young Thug Speaks Out After Alleged Jail Calls Leak

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Whew! Just when the internet thought it had Young Thug figured out, the rapper has stepped forward with something to say. After days of social media chatter, side-eyes, and a whole lotta assumptions surrounding those alleged leaked jail calls, Thugger is finally speaking out. And, he’s got a message for the people and the rap game. The streets (and timelines) have been talking, dissecting every word from those recordings, but Thug isn’t letting the rumors—or the internet detectives—run the narrative.

Young Thug Seemingly Addresses Leaked Call Drama

On Wednesday, Young Thug used social media to seemingly address the backlash surrounding a series of alleged jail phone calls that leaked online. While he didn’t confirm the authenticity of the recordings, Thug hinted that he’s aware of the conversations being circulated and the criticism that followed. Additionally, he emphasized that all the bashing and fake narratives will only mess up the rap community even more.

“Bashing me only goin f*ck that rap community up more, I’m the blue to this fake a** game,” Young Thug shared to X.

What Is The Alleged, Leaked Jail Call About?

Now, before y’all start connecting too many dots, let’s make one thing clear. This is all alleged audio, and nothing has been officially confirmed. IF the leaked jail calls are real, though, it sounds like Thugger laid out exactly why he feels betrayed by Gunna’s plea deal in the YSL RICO case. According to the alleged audio, Thug’s main issue is Gunna claiming YSL is a gang and that he knew people committing crimes for it — which Thug reportedly denies, saying Gunna only knew him, Duke, and Yak Gotti, and none of them were involved in criminal activity. It’s also alleged that Gunna’s statement may have helped turn the situation into a full-blown RICO case.

But Thugger didn’t just stop at the legal stuff. He allegedly threw jabs at Gunna for taking the plea for a woman and some money, which had the internet clutching their pearls. In another part of the call, 21 Savage apparently tried to defend Gunna’s past move — when he distanced himself from drugs and guns found in a car with Thug — but that just led to more tension. Thug allegedly expressed how hurt he was that artists like Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Future cut ties before he even had a chance to speak out.

Why Are Kendrick Fans Coming After Him?

During the leaked calls, Thugger had more to say. And, he didn’t mince words when it came to rappers who think they’re too good to collaborate. Furthermore, many fans think the shots were aimed straight at Kendrick Lamar. He called out artists with massive success who act like they’re above doing features, saying that mentality is damaging the culture. In the latest leaked audio, Thugger reportedly calls out Kendrick Lamar for not giving him a feature on his 2023 album ‘Business Is Business.’

“You supposed to be a ni**a blessing ni**as,” Thug allegedly said. “That’s why these ni***s will never be bigger than Drake, ever in life.”

Social Media Doesn’t Know What To Think

Social media is torn over the Young Thug jail call drama, and the comment section under his post is looking real divided. Some fans are begging Thug to patch things up with Gunna and “talk it out like brothers.” While others say the situation is getting messier by the day. Meanwhile, a few are still standing ten toes down on calling him a rat, and the rest? They just want him to drop new music and get back to the booth.

But you was bashing Gunna? You just don’t like that the shoe is on your foot now.

Drake is publicly calling out crypto gambling platform Stake, claiming several attempts he’s made to withdraw money were blocked without explanation.

The rap star shared a screenshot on his Instagram Story showing a message from a customer service rep who wrote,

“We were unfortunately unable to process your last withdrawal attempt as well.” Drake added as a caption over the post: “4 withdraw attempts blocked on @stake with no explanation…Is it personal?”

His complaint comes shortly after Drake appeared to announce he’s cut ties with Stake after partnering with them for years. On a recent livestream hosted by fellow Stake endorser Trainwreck, Drake took to the comments section to blast the platform’s executives Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani for how they treat talent, reportedly writing:

“Eddie been dissing the owls f**k Eddie… F**k this goof… W’s for my brother TRAIN tonight… They want smoke with ovo so its uppppppp…MAX them and have a great stream… We built this s**t… And they treat us like s**t still.”

Drake’s withdrawal troubles are surprising considering he reportedly earned $100 million annually endorsing Stake, according to a 2023 Financial Times report. He was known for heavily promoting the platform, often sharing his wins with fans.

Are you surprised to see Drake publicly clash with a brand he once heavily promoted?

Mingus Reedus arrested in Manhattan

According to reports by TMZ, Mingus had been arrested for third-degree assault and obstruction of breathing after police were called to a Manhattan apartment where a 33-year-old woman, reportedly his girlfriend, was allegedly assaulted.

According to police, the victim was reportedly punched, choked, and slammed to the ground before officers arrived. She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Mingus’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, claimed that Mingus called law enforcement after the woman reportedly took sleeping pills in an attempt to end her life, and that the couple had ended their five-month relationship before the incident, as reported by TMZ.

Court appearance and past legal issues

Mingus pleaded not guilty to all charges during his court appearance. Chaudhry told the news outlet that the fact her client is facing “misdemeanors or lesser charges speaks volumes,” pointing out that the judge decided to release Mingus on his own recognizance without bail or supervision. She emphasized that her client is presumed innocent and said, “As the facts emerge, his innocence will become clear”.

A woman identifying herself as Mingus’ girlfriend was seen leaving the 10th Precinct after his arrest. She told reporters the situation was a “misunderstanding.”

This is not the first time Mingus has faced legal trouble. He was arrested in 2021 for allegedly assaulting a woman during New York City’s San Gennaro festival and later pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in March 2022.

Mingus Reedus has to go back to court on Tuesday to continue the case. His famous parents’ representatives have not replied to requests for comments after his arrest.
