Ray J Countersues Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner, Claims Mom-Daughter Duo Spent Decades’ Saying S3x Tape Was Leaked’ When It Was Filmed & Distributed w/ Mutual Agreement

Over 20 years later, and we’re still discussing #RayJ and Kim Kardashian’s s3x tape.

Ray J has slammed #KimKardashian and #KrisJenner in new legal documents that serve as his rebuttal to a defamation suit they recently filed against him.

In the filing, obtained by TMZ, Ray J claims the 2003 s3x tape (released in 2007) between him and Kim was not leaked without her consent but was instead “consensually shot” and released with Kim’s and Kris’s involvement. He argues they have “spent two decades peddling the false story that the sex tape … was leaked against her will.”

According to Ray, the arrangement involved Kim insisting that her mom Kris oversee the tape’s release and commercial exploitation. He says the lawsuit filed by the Kardashians is not about defamation at all but is really a power move: “it’s about publicity, power, and punishment.”

The docs also assert that Ray J and Kim reached a settlement where #KimK paid him $6 million and agreed to avoid public references to the tape, a clause Ray claims the #Kardashians violated almost immediately.

Filed by attorney Howard King, Ray’s countersuit contends that Kim and Kris were “furious” when he refused to go along with what he sees as their long-run narrative. “They’re trying to weaponize the judicial system, shirk their contractual obligations, and sacrifice on the altar of fame,” Ray argues in the docs. He claims he’s entitled to $1 million in damages.

Universal Music Group and AI Music Company Udio Reach Agreement in Lawsuit

by jummy84 October 30, 2025

Universal Music Group (UMG) and Udio, an artificial intelligence (AI) developer focused on music, have reached an agreement in last year’s copyright infringement lawsuit, which UMG, Sony Music, Warner Music Group, and the Recording Industry Association of America brought against Udio and Suno. At the time, UMG accused Udio of copyright infringement on an “almost unimaginable scale” and training its AI models on the label’s recordings. A press release from UMG states that the two companies will now “collaborate on an innovative, new commercial music creation, consumption, and streaming experience,” as Billboard notes. The deal also includes a compensatory legal settlement for UMG.

UMG’s lawsuit against Udio was focused solely on infringement of the company’s sound recordings; the new agreement has established a licensing framework for UMG’s sound recordings as well as songs and publishing assets. Participating UMG artists and songwriters will receive financial compensation for the training of AI models and for its outputs. The new collaborative platform launches in 2026, and UMG artists and songwriters can opt in to participate. Songs created using Udio’s current model will be “controlled within a walled garden,” fingerprinted, and filtered before the new effects go into place.

“The new subscription service will transform the user engagement experience, creating a licensed and protected environment to customize, stream, and share music responsibly, on the Udio platform,” reads the press release. Billboard reports that users can create mashups, remixes, and tempo changes to existing, licensed works; swap vocals with UMG artists’ voices who opted in to the program; and can only listen to the creations within the service.

In a statement, Udio co-founder and chief executive Andrew Sanchez said, “This moment brings to life everything we’ve been building toward—uniting AI and the music industry in a way that truly champions artists. Together, we’re building the technological and business landscape that will fundamentally expand what’s possible in music creation and engagement.”

UMG chairman and chief executive Lucian Grainge added, “These new agreements with Udio demonstrate our commitment to do what’s right by our artists and songwriters, whether that means embracing new technologies, developing new business models, diversifying revenue streams or beyond. We look forward to working with Andrew who shares our belief that together, we can foster a healthy commercial AI ecosystem in which artists, songwriters, music companies and technology companies can all flourish and create incredible experiences for fans.”

Joy Behar Reveals Rare Point of Agreement With Trump

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

On Thursday’s (September 25) edition of The View, the cohosts dissected the latest news involving Donald Trump: Days after he publicly pressured the attorney general to prosecute his political enemies, it is now reportedly expected that former FBI Director James Comey will face an indictment (by a Trump-appointed prosecutor with no previous experience in the field) related to his statements to Congress regarding election interference.

Comey has a complicated history with Trump. He was appointed by Barack Obama but was widely spurned by Democrats after he announced a new investigation into then-candidate Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server just days before the 2016 election. He continued to serve in the role after Donald Trump was elected in 2016, but was fired a year later amid the investigation into Trump’s campaign’s ties to Russia. This ignited a special counsel investigation by Robert Mueller that plagued Trump’s first term. Trump has since repeatedly criticized Comey, including calling him a “dirty cop” in May.

The cohosts’ reaction to the matter of Comey’s potential prosecution was contentious, to say the least. Oddly enough, it was Joy Behar who expressed some sympathy for Trump’s position on Comey.

“I agree with Trump on this one,” she said. When prompted by her cohosts to explain, she continued, “I don’t like what he did to Hillary.”

When Sunny Hostin challenged whether it was “fair” that he should be prosecuted, Behar said, “No… Just saying, I rarely have something that I agree with Trump on. This is one thing.”

Hostin then pressed back again, saying, “But Joy, some would say he was just doing his job, James Comey.”

“What? At the last minute to bring out this email baloney?” said Behar.

When cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin said she didn’t need to “drudge up ancient history” on the matter, Behar asked her pointedly, “Do you agree with him?” And Griffin responded with, “I think that it should have been investigated. I do think the timing was out of step with the Department of Justice. They generally don’t do that a month out from an election.”

She then went on to discuss the matter at hand, which was the possibility of Comey’s prosecution, and she said, “I don’t think Trump’s goal is criminal convictions… I don’t think [the prosecutor is] going to be able to get a conviction based on what we know and the information that’s out there. [The goal] is to get these people wrapped up with legal fees. It’s to intimidate people from being critics of [Trump]. To him, I think it’s some degree of payback.”

When Griffin admitted that she’s not a legal expert, Hostin said with a snap, “Well, this legal expert is telling you he’s not going to get a conviction.”

HYBE and Min Hee-jin Clash in Court Over Shareholder Agreement

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, who has been locked in a protracted legal battle with HYBE, appeared in person on Thursday (Sept. 11) at the Seoul Central District Court. It was her first court appearance since the dispute began last year. On the witness stand was HYBE’s chief legal officer, Jung Jin-soo.

That day, the court heard two consolidated claims: HYBE’s request to confirm the termination of a shareholder agreement, and Min’s demand for payment under a put option (a contractual right to sell shares back). Positions between the parties remained sharply divided. The hearing revisited long-running flashpoints — allegations that HYBE’s new girl group copied NewJeans, clauses described by Min as “slave-like” non-compete terms, and claims of “forced album releases” targeting NewJeans. Jung questioned Min’s outside activities and possible breaches of contract, while Min countered, calling the narrative “fiction” and accusing the witness of “multiple false statements.” The courtroom confrontation stretched for almost five hours.

The court plans to question Min again on Nov. 27 and wrap up arguments on Dec. 18, with a ruling expected in January 2026. At the heart of the civil dispute is the validity of a put option estimated at around 26 billion won (approximately $19 million USD). The shareholder agreement reportedly allows Min to sell up to 75% of her ADOR stake to HYBE, based on 13 times the company’s average operating profit over the previous two years. Applying ADOR’s 2022 loss of 4 billion won and 2023 profit of 33.5 billion won, the amount is calculated at roughly 26 billion. HYBE argues that the shareholder agreement was terminated in July 2023, nullifying the option, while Min maintains there was no termination and says she resigned only after exercising the option in November.

Later that afternoon, a separate proceeding was held: the second closed mediation session in ADOR’s lawsuit seeking confirmation of NewJeans’ exclusive contract validity. At the first session on August 14, members Minji and Danielle attended, drawing heavy media attention, but no agreement was reached. The session ended after just 20 minutes without a settlement, and the court scheduled a main ruling for October 30. NewJeans members remain barred from independent activities under a preliminary injunction granted to ADOR.

HYBE and Min Hee-jin’s put-option case is expected to conclude arguments by the end of the year, with a verdict likely in January. The NewJeans-ADOR contract dispute is also nearing resolution, with a decision set for Oct. 30. Nearly a year of intertwined litigation among HYBE, Min Hee-jin, ADOR and NewJeans is heading toward sequential conclusions as the year draws to a close — and the industry is watching closely to see where this saga ultimately lands.
