Bollywood and South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal recently became the subject of a death hoax after unverified reports claiming she had died in a road accident went viral on social media. The actress quickly stepped in to debunk the rumors, reassuring her fans that she is perfectly safe and healthy.

​On Monday, Kajal took to Instagram and X to directly address the speculation. “I’ve come across some baseless news claiming I was in an accident (and no longer around!) and honestly, it’s quite amusing because it’s absolutely untrue,” she wrote.

​She added, “By the grace of god, I want to assure you all that I am perfectly fine, safe, and doing very well. I kindly request you not to believe or circulate such false news. Let’s focus our energies on positivity and truth instead.” A prior report by ETimes had also confirmed her safety when she briefly responded to a call by stating she was busy but would connect later.

​On a personal note, Kajal recently visited the Maldives with her husband Gautam Kitchlu. She shared pictures from the trip, calling the island nation her “monthly rendezvous.”

On the work front, the actress was last seen in Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa and in the Hindi film Sikandar alongside Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. She is also set to appear in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 and is reportedly part of Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part epic Ramayana, where she will play the role of Mandodari opposite Yash.

“I’ve come across some baseless news claiming I was in an accident (and no longer around!) and honestly, it’s quite amusing because it’s absolutely untrue,” Kajal wrote on her Instagram Stories as well as X, formerly known as Twitter.

Earlier, ETimes reached out to her to check on the reports. Kajal responded to the call, saying, “I am busy right now and will connect with you later.”

Most recently, Kajal visited the Maldives with her husband Gautam Kitchlu for a quick getaway. She shared pictures from the outing on Instagram, writing, “The Maldives: my recurring love affair. A monthly rendezvous I’ll gladly be guilty of. Drawn back each time by its endless allure, eternal glow, and sunsets that feel like nature’s most glamorous runway. Take my breath away every single time.”

Kajal’s recent projects

Kajal was last seen in Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa. She also featured in Hindi film Sikandar which also starred Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. Next, she will be seen in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3. She is also said to be part of Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part epic Ramayana. It is believed that Kajal will portray the role of Mandodari, the wife of Ravana, opposite Yash, who plays Ravana. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.

Foxhills Club & Resort, the award-winning hotel and country club in Surrey, is proud to announce the appointment of Achal Aggarwal as new Head Chef of its two AA Rosette restaurant, The Fox dining rooms.

An alumnus of some of the world’s finest kitchens, Chef Achal brings a distinctive culinary style shaped by Asian roots, Japanese discipline and global finesse. His arrival marks a bold new chapter for the resort’s dining identity, with a refined fusion menu set to evolve fully in early 2026.

Having trained in Tokyo and New York, and worked in acclaimed properties including The Leela, Hyatt and multiple Oberoi Hotels, Achal also played a pivotal role in the launch of the celebrated ‘Wasabi’ restaurant in Delhi.

In his role at Foxhills, Achal will lead the restaurant’s transition to a fine dining concept that blends modern British cuisine with subtle yet expressive Indian and Asian influences. Think butter chicken reimagined, delicate hints of spice layered through seasonal ingredients and culinary techniques rooted in his Japanese training.

Guests can already sample Achal’s creative flair with signature dishes such as lamb rogan josh, soft shell crab tempura sushi roll, Singapore chicken rice, black truffle ravioli, mango seabass and seafood udon noodles, all presented elegantly and with flair.
