The film, packed with brutal action scenes, instantly drew comparisons to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. But the controversy escalated when YouTuber and content creator Dhruv Rathee strongly criticized the movie on social media, comparing its violent visuals to those used by terrorist organization ISIS.

Taking to X, Dhruv Rathee expressed serious concern about the level of violence shown in the trailer. According to him, the scenes resemble ISIS-style execution videos, which feature extreme brutality. Rathee wrote, “Aditya Dhar has truly crossed the limits of vulgarity in Bollywood. The trailer for his new film contains so much violence, bloodshed, and torture that watching it is like watching ISIS beheading videos and then calling it entertainment.”

He also accused the filmmaker of promoting insensitivity among young viewers, and said, “In his greed for money, he has poisoned the minds of the younger generation, making them insensitive and careless towards bloodshed.” Rathee urged viewers to think about the psychological impact such extreme visuals could have on impressionable audiences. Dhruv Rathee also urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to step in and take strict action regarding the film’s violent scenes.

In a sarcastic remark, he wrote, “Now is the time for the Censor Board to show what it actually has a problem with: people kissing or the skinning of a living person.” His statement triggered wide discussion online, with social media divided between supporting Rathee’s concerns and defending artistic freedom. In the film, Ranveer Singh plays an Indian spy captured in Pakistan. The trailer features Arjun Rampal, playing an ISI major, is shown flaying a man alive. And Akshaye Khanna, portraying a Lahore gangster, is shown stoning a man to death.

Arbaaz Khan: It’s Unlike Anything I’ve Played Before

At the trailer launch, Arbaaz Khan stated, “I think it has a lot to do with how Nitin sir envisioned this film and shaped my character — it’s unlike anything I’ve played before. I don’t think I’ve ever really done a proper horror film; some might have turned out horror (laughs), but not intentionally so. What made this project exciting was how well-etched and layered the character is. There are many nuances, and the story keeps you guessing about who the real culprit might be. My character carries that same ambiguity, as do others, keeping the audience constantly on edge.“

Rituparna Sengupta adds, “I’ve done strong roles before, but this was a completely new genre for me. I always want to explore worlds I haven’t stepped into because, as an actor, I believe my roles should challenge me and push my boundaries. This film did exactly that. I spent a lot of time with my director working on body language, expressions of fear, and subtle nuances, as the character has tremendous depth. It was an intense yet deeply enriching experience to perform.”

Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker recently opened up about asking for work without any hesitation. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Swara revealed that she had once texted filmmaker Aditya Chopra, requesting a role opposite Salman Khan in one of his films. However, the filmmaker politely turned her down.

Swara revealed asking for role in Sultan and recalled, “I said, ‘I think, sir, aapko mujhe cast karna chahiye, main bahut acchi pehelwan banungi.’ He replied, ‘Nahi, mujhe aisa nahi lagta, Swara ( I said ‘I think, sir, you should cast me; I would make a very good wrestler.’ He said, No, I don’t think so, Swara.’) I said, ‘Okay, theek hai.’ (Okay, that’s fine).’ Look, if we maintain too much lihaaz-vihaj (formality and restraint), we won’t get work. We are outsiders, right? I didn’t have anyone who could call and recommend me. Maine jo bhi kiya hai, maine cheen-cheen ke liya hai, ya apne dum pe — jaise bhi mila mujhe (Whatever I’ve achieved, I’ve taken it by fighting for it or earned it on my own — however it came my way).”

Swara further added, “I’m very polite in every other aspect of my life, but kaam maangne mein mujhe kabhi sharam nahi aayi kisi se (I’ve never felt ashamed to ask anyone for work). I think that’s completely fine — I should ask for it. I may not enjoy doing it, but I still do, because I believe one shouldn’t have that hesitation. I always say, ‘I’d love to work with you. Please cast me, consider kar lijiye.’ (Please consider me) But ever since I became pregnant, I haven’t asked anyone for work.”

While Swara didn’t work with Salman in Sultan, she essayed the role of her sister in 2015 film Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.

Aditya Jambhale’s Baramulla Set in Kashmir Releases This November

A chilling new supernatural mystery, Baramulla, is set to release on November 7. The film takes audiences to the snow-covered valley of Kashmir, where quiet landscapes hide deep secrets. The story begins with the sudden disappearance of a young boy that disturbs the peace of a small town. DSP Ridwaan Sayyed, played by Manav Kaul, is a Kashmiri police officer transferred to the area to lead the investigation. As he settles in with his family, he soon realizes that the case is far from ordinary, and that some forces at play may not belong to this world.
Baramulla combines supernatural elements with human drama and mystery, bringing together fear, emotion, and suspense. It explores how legends, memories, and reality blend in a place already burdened by conflict. The film also stars Bhasha Sumbli as Gulnaar and promises to offer a tense, emotionally charged viewing experience.
The movie is directed and written by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, known for his acclaimed political thriller Article 370. The story is written by Aditya Dhar and co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios.


Speaking about the film, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale said, “With a genre-bending film like Baramulla, we wanted to tell a story rooted in emotion but elevated by tension and the supernatural. Singer Aditya Rikhari’s recent concert in Noida took an unexpected and dramatic turn when the musical atmosphere was disrupted by a massive brawl between two girls and a woman right in the middle of the crowd. A video of the same emerged on social media, leaving social media users stunned by the chaos.

The singer-songwriter performed in Noida on Saturday at the International Trade Expo Centre. However, the performance was abruptly disrupted when chaos erupted mid-show, as two young girls clashed with another woman in a heated physical fight, shocking the audience.

A video has emerged on social media which shows two young girls hitting a woman during the live show. In the clip, two young girls were seen physically assaulting a woman during the performance. One of the girls repeatedly hit the woman, while the other initially tried to intervene before joining in the attack herself. The situation escalated quickly before the crowd stepped in to break up the violent altercation.

The reason behind the fight is not known yet. The incident led to a brief disruption, however Aditya continued the set after the hiccup. Social media users were left stunned, while some made fun of the whole incident.

“I really really really wanna know the reason,” one wrote, with another mentioning, “Sahiba got no chill.”
