How The Black Music Action Coalition is Boosting Black Communities

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Since June 2020, the Black Music Action Coalition, or BMAC, has alchemized moments of tragedy and controversy into opportunities to improve the material conditions of artists and their communities, distributing a reported $4 million in direct relief. One of their latest efforts includes a newly launched guaranteed income and support program for Altadena, California residents affected by the fires that ravaged the historic Black haven outside of Los Angeles. BMAC will top the $400,000 in aid they’ve already distributed since January with a dedicated $500,000 towards their new efforts. “When the fires first erupted, I was watching like everyone else,” says Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, a BMAC co-founder who serves as president and CEO. “The beauty of that town, the creative energy that sort of moves through the streets of Altadena is really unmatched. When we watched the whole community get wiped out, my heart sunk and I couldn’t believe it. So we had a call with the team, I’m like, ‘We need to do something and something immediate.’”

This sort of rapid response has been a BMAC specialty. Formed in the shadow of the murder of George Floyd, the killing of Breonna Taylor, and the racial justice uprisings that followed, BMAC became a watchdog as corporations across the music industry made promises to improve conditions for workers of color to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. In 2021 and 2022, they issued comprehensive “report cards” analyzing the reality of those commitments. After country star Morgan Wallen was caught on video hurling a racial slur in 2021, they released another report – this time, on how Black artists both forged and were deliberately pushed out of country music. “He got caught saying the N-word, and it was this big uproar, and a lot of people came to BMAC like, ‘What are you going to do about this?’” Stiggers remembers. “So for us, we thought that that spoke to a bigger issue within country.”

On the heels of their report, BMAC then challenged Nashville to make a change, and the Academy of Country Music stepped up. Together, they created a program called OnRamp that supported 20 Black, aspiring country artists and executives with a guaranteed monthly income of $1,000 and access to work and mentorship from Music Row. BMAC created a similar program with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after the institution’s co-founder Jann Wenner claimed that Black and female artists hadn’t been “articulate” enough to be considered “masters” of the genre. (Wenner also co-founded Rolling Stone and led the magazine for most of its tenure.) Stiggers says BMAC’s guaranteed income programs are a hallmark of his vision. “At the end of the day, economics is the issue, right?” he says. “When you start removing the economic barriers that sometimes have prohibited artists in our community from thriving, what happens is so beautiful and so brilliant.”

Editor’s picks

However, BMAC is not just about showing up when bad news breaks – in fact, much more of its programming is proactive, Stiggers explains. The industry relationships among its many members and supporters – who, at its inception, included Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Miley Cyrus, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Harry Styles, and Lady Gaga – has led to incubators with Live Nation to advance Black touring and events specialists, activations at Rolling Loud to promote their policy efforts against the use of rap lyrics in court (which predates the high-profile incarceration of Young Thug, Gunna, and other Young Stoner Life records affiliates in 2021), and more grants and guaranteed income programs with Atlanta rapper Gunna, R&B legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and budding superstar Victoria Monét. “She took it to another level,” Stiggers says. “She brought these young women into her life in a very real way – in studio, meeting with them, helping give them creative ideas and really pouring into them.” Their latest grant program honors late A&R Chubbie Baby who helped launch the careers of rap giants like the Diplomats and Future, with the winner, a recent Yale graduate named Maxx Shearod, just announced on Sep. 15. In a busy week, BMAC will also hold its annual gala on Sep. 15, honoring streamer Kai Cenat, singer John Legend, industry titan Irving Azoff, HarbourView Equity Partners founder Sherrese Clarke and publishing company Primary Wave Music. Country star Mickey Guyton and executive Kenny Burns will host.

While Stiggers has spent over two decades as a music executive himself, heading management, consulting, and publishing company 50/50 Music Group out of Atlanta, he’s been a social justice worker for much longer, earning the nickname “Prophet” while in community with Reverend Al Sharpton as a kid in the Bronx. Around 13 years old, Stiggers was himself a victim of police violence, fueling his lifelong work in advocacy. “When I was attacked by the police in my neighborhood, up until that point, I just had a regular sort of life going on,” he says. “Black pride and Black history was always taught in the household, but I never really applied it or had to really speak to it, especially at that young age. But when I went through this police brutality scenario in my hood, my mom called everyone. She called all of the news, every activist you could think of. We had a rally outside the precinct. I didn’t want any of this, but they gave me the megaphone. Once I calmed my spirit down, I started to speak. This sort of energy – I guess some in the church would call it the Holy Spirit – took over me and I’ve been living in that.”

Here, Stiggers explains how BMAC’s work is shaped by GLAAD’s, why white ally Irving Azoff is being celebrated at this year’s gala, and the Coalition’s international ambitions.

In January, Terry Lewis, Stiggers, and Jimmy Jam celebrated the their third annual Music Makers grant program while fundraising for fire relief in Los Angeles

What BMAC advocacy efforts have you been particularly proud of over the past five years?
Just the idea of a beacon of accountability, the industry feeling and knowing that there is a body of people that took those public pledges that they made very seriously and are prepared to hold them extremely accountable to that. The work that we have done policy-wise – if you don’t change policy, nothing happens. BMAC led the working group that developed the Restoring Artistic Protection Act, also known as the RAP Act, the first federal bill to prohibit the use of lyrics to prosecute artists. That bill was able to have state implications. California was the first state to sign the bill that derived from [it] and there’s been three or four other states that have adopted similar measures. I chair an organization now called Free Our Art, which specifically is around state legislation prohibiting the use of lyrics weaponizing art and criminalizing artists. And then [BMAC’s] pipeline programs – we’ve been able to impact almost 6,000 young people in a very direct way over the last five years, create real opportunities for them. The barriers of entry sometimes in this industry for our people are tall. Unless you have the resources or go to the country clubs or have a parent or someone that’s been in the business, it’s very difficult to sort of penetrate this wall in front. [I’m proud of] our ability to put young people directly in the rooms that led to hundreds of jobs, paid internships, and the ability to deploy close to $4 million in direct relief to people, be it supporting artists, supporting emerging talent, supporting aspiring executives or the community at large.

What is the function of a gala, then, in the context of this work?
It’s not a victory lap, our galas, but it’s our rallying point. It’s an opportunity for the music industry to come together and for once, not celebrate record sales, not celebrate streaming numbers, not celebrate those sort of accolades, but how people are using their platform to actually impact society in a meaningful way.

When we first started BMAC, it was imperative to me that we model the organization [after] organizations that have success. One of the issues with leadership is sometimes the wins are not visible and almost not even expected – we just allow people to sit in leadership positions without a real strategy of how to put W’s on the board. And so for me, I have watched [the LGBTQ+ community] take a social issue and create such a level of urgency around it that not only changed policy, [but it] changed public perception. So we sat down with GLAAD. When I was a child, you could say certain words, and now as an adult, you try, your whole career is over. How do we take that sort of urgency and implement that with the issues that face Black artists and Black creators and Black America as a whole?

Our report card came from those conversations with GLAAD. They issue a GLAAD report in which they measure LGBTQ+ representation front and behind the camera, and then they have the GLAAD Awards. [A GLAAD representative] said, “We have to put up the mirror so the public and people can see what this looks like. Let’s remove the veil and really look at it. But at the same time, we have to honor and celebrate those who are getting it right.” So we took those two strategies and implemented them with BMAC.

I’ve watched leaders come and go and although there have been some real advances from the Civil Rights Act to various wins, I’ve also watched the movement sometimes get complacent. [There’s] a checks-and-balances system that I use for myself, that I use for the organization. If we don’t have solutions, if we don’t have anything to add to the conversation, then it’s time for us to step aside. I didn’t jump in this to have a career in BMAC. Actually, the goal is to not need to be here. The goal is to become obsolete at some point. That is why I think many people appreciate how active we are. If you look at our newsletters, there’s major movements that [are] going on monthly, consistently. It’s because that is the bar that we have set for ourselves.

This year, Irving Azoff is being honored at the Gala. What has his partnership been like? That’s a huge figure in the industry, especially as a white ally.
Irving was one of the founding advisory board members of Black Music Action Coalition. He actually was able to bring the late great Quincy Jones and the late great Clarence Avant to the table, and the three of them are our founding board advisory members. Even the Rock Hall of Fame [mentorship program], that came because [Rock Hall chairman] John Sykes and Irving sit on the board together. When John came to them asking, “What are some of the ideas?” Irving and Jeff Azoff immediately pointed him to me. I mean, we stood with Irv when we were challenging the seven-year statute with the Fair Act  three years ago, which we still haven’t got off the table. We didn’t get it passed, but that’s still on the table. I just think someone of that magnitude [advocating] for the artist community the way he has throughout his career is something that should be honored and should be modeled [after]. The way he has been an ally to issues that the Black Music Coalition has brought forth has been remarkable.

When I wrote about Gunna’s guaranteed income program, people were fascinated with the concept of universal basic income implemented by a rapper. Tell me about getting that off the ground in partnership with Gunna, especially because those beneficiaries aren’t in the music industry; they’re just folks in his community.
Ebonie Ward, who is Gunna’s manager, is on our executive leadership council. So she came to me right after Gunna was released, and I think they were very impressed with the work that we were doing around the RAP Act – which was prior to Gunna and Thug being arrested. So she came to me: “What can we do?” I was always impressed with what Gunna had already been doing in his community. To me, authenticity is the key, not posturing [some] sort of idea of solidarity. I watched him create Gunna’s Great Giveaway in South Fulton, I watched him create the pantries in schools for people to get food to eat, the Drip Closet where you can go get clothes to wear. The guy was already doing the work. We had success with our ACM program in Nashville, we had success with the Rock Hall program. My goal has always been to get artists to create [guaranteed income] programs. That’s the ultimate goal.

By the way, 90% of the money, a half-million-dollar program, he donated himself. He went on tour and created revenue and got partners and BMAC kicked in a very small amount. But we designed and ideated, and now I’m happy to say we are three months into the program right now. The lives that are being affected are so overwhelming. You would think $1,000 isn’t necessarily life-changing money, but for some people it’s a difference between their lights on and off, the difference between groceries in that refrigerator or not, gas in that car, the ability to pay for your daughter’s senior pictures. That pressure that exists in our neighborhoods, and sometimes our industry is removed from the understanding what “I’m down to my last five dollars” means.

Equally as important is the community that we build around them. There’s people who have legal issues that we are able to get lawyers to help them with. Mental health is a big thing, and we’re able to have therapists connecting with them. Financial empowerment. In our community, financial literacy is when your lights get cut off and you realize, “Shit, how do we budget to get this back on?” [Now] you’re able to sit down with someone that can help you work within what you have and develop a system that works for you, not just show the cookie-cutter idea of what financial empowerment looks like, but say, “Okay, listen, let’s take this thousand dollars and let’s figure out how we stretch this, how we move this here, how we prioritize this.” Just watching that transformation happen is extremely powerful and gratifying.

My parents are deeply philanthropic people, too, from a poor West African country. Even as a Black music journalist, at the center of my work is how all these structural issues impact our lives and the art that’s made. Congratulations on being able to marry the entertainment to real social impact.
I thank you for that. You triggered one thing I want to say before we hang up. As we look to expand our work, it is definitely global. In 2026, we’ll launch a lot of our global initiatives. So many of the programs that we have here in terms of our Music Maker grants, even BMAC Live, we’ll be doing in the UK and in parts of the continent. In addition to that, we have a serious focus on educating our artists and executives on the continent about IP protection. With the rise of Afrobeats and Amapiano music, if we don’t educate and wrap our arms around the creative community on the continent, the same cultural appropriation that happened with Black musicians and Black artists here since the 1920s [will] happen over there.

Trending Stories

We have symposiums and we are partnered with many organizations where we are going to bring this information and really start bridging this gap between our people here and the people throughout the diaspora. What we’ve realized is that the same fights that we have here, the same issues that we have here and the ceiling that is put on Black executives happens globally.

So, we pool our resources, our energy, and our conversations to come up with strategies [that] could be effective across the globe.

About O’ Romeo

O’ Romeo is described as a visually rich action thriller that blends intense drama with picturesque backdrops and emotional storytelling. Though rooted in action, the title and Valentine’s Day release suggest a romantic core.

The film reunites Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj after their celebrated collaborations on Kaminey (2009) and Haider (2014). Both films not only received critical acclaim but also showcased Shahid in transformative roles, with Haider earning him a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Official US Trailer for ‘Samurai Fury’ Historic Japanese Action Thriller

“Give me a year of your life for freeing you. I’ll put your skills to good use.” Well Go USA has revealed an official US trailer for a Japanese action thriller called Samurai Fury, which is just the simplistic English title. The film’s original title in Japan is Muromachi Outsiders or 室町無頼 (Muromachi Burai) because of the story: this historical action epic follows Hasuda Hyoe, a man who led an uprising in the Muromachi period. In Kyoto, Hyoe gathers a group of outlaws as he plans an unprecedented riot against authorities. As famine and plague ravage 15th century Japan, the laconic shogun watches and does nothing. The rebellious wanderer Hasuda Hyoe has seen enough and plots to depose the shogun and save Japan from self-imposed devastation. Starring Ôizumi Yô as the heroic Hyoe, the story pits him against one-time friend Honekawa Doken, the iconic Shin’ichi Tsutsumi in a fight for survival. Also with Nagao Kento and Matsumoto Wakana. Looks like a full-on epic with massive fight scenes and tons of extras. I just hope the rest is good.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Yû Irie’s action film Samurai Fury, direct from YouTube:

Produced by Kazuma Kuryû. This first opened in Japan in January earlier this year, and it also played at the New York Asian Film Festival this summer. Well Go USA releases Samurai Fury direct-to-VOD to watch starting October 7th, 2025 coming soon. Any good?

“You’re hiding something…” “I’m not even here, man.” Voltage Pictures has revealed an official trailer for a movie called Safe House, a generic action thriller made by filmmaker Jamie Marshall. Not to be confused with the 2012 Denzel Washington movie also literally called Safe House – or any of the other recent movies about people hiding out in a safe house. The intense thriller is about six government agents sequestered in a covert location after a terror attack on Los Angeles. As they attempt to navigate their way through a web of paranoia, they come to suspect the perpetrator may be one of their own. But, who? Starring Lewis Tan, Lucien Laviscount, Hannah John-Kamen, Ethan Embry, and Holt McCallany. As totally expected, this looks especially bad. The script will probably make it even worse if anyone dares try to watch this film.

Here’s the official trailer for Jamie Marshall’s action thriller movie Safe House, direct from YouTube:

Six federal agents in hiding out at a safe house after a Los Angeles terror attack quickly grow suspicious of each other as they realize the perpetrator could be hiding among them. Safe House is directed by British filmmaker Jamie Marshall, making his second feature film after directing Dirty Lies (2017) previously, plus decades of other work as a second unit director in the film industry. The screenplay is written by Leon Langford. Produced by Alexandra Cocean, Lucas Jarach, and Timothy C. Sullivan. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Voltage Pictures will debut Marhsall’s Safe House movie in select US theaters coming soon this fall stay tuned for the exact date. Anyone interested in watching this?

Mirai Review: Indian Mythology Meets Super Yodha Action In Teja Sajja’s Adventure

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Film:
Mirai

Bubble Rating:
3.0 stars

Director: Karthik Gattamneni

Writer: Karthik Gattamneni, Manibabu Karanam

Cast: Teja Sajja, Manoj Kumar, Ritika Nayak, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, Jayaram

Platform: In theatres

Runtime: 2 hours and 49 minute

Mirai Review

Mirai stands out with its ambitious attempt to blend Indian mythology with a modern superhero template. The storyline revolving around the search for the 9th scripture (Granth) offers a Ramayan-inspired twist, making the film unique compared to typical superhero dramas.

Mirai follows the extraordinary tale of Ambika (Shriya Saran), a mother who sacrifices her life to protect humanity and safeguard the nine sacred scriptures that hold the power to transform mortals into deities. From her sacrifice is born Veda (Teja Sajja), destined to become the Super Yodha, a warrior chosen to savr the final and most powerful scripture the 9th Granth, Mirai. Standing against him is Mahavir Lama (Manoj Kumar Manchu), a ruthless asur who seeks the scripture to ascend as God. The film unfolds as a mythological superhero saga of sacrifice, destiny, and cosmic battle.

What Works

The scale is massive, with stunning visuals across the Himalayas, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Japan, Tibet, and Morocco, giving the film an international feel. Action sequences are choreographed with flair, and the mythological undertones provide a cultural depth that resonates with Indian audiences.

Teja Sajja power-packed performance in Mirai is the USP of the film. He effortlessly balances the intensity, emotion, and heroism in this fantasy adventure. His screen presence and action sequences make him a compelling super yodha. Director Karthik Gattamneni crafts a visually stunning spectacle, blending mythology with modern storytelling, while keeping the narrative engaging and larger-than-life.

What Doesn’t Work

While the film dares to be ambitious, the execution falters in parts. The screenplay sometimes feels stretched, with uneven pacing between the myth-lowkey dialogues and superhero action. Emotional beats don’t always land, and certain CGI portions fail to match the grandeur promised. The villain arc, though menacing, could have been more layered.

Technical Analysis

The cinematography is a major strength, capturing diverse landscapes beautifully. The VFX ranges from breathtaking to inconsistent, but the effort to create a larger-than-life superhero universe is commendable. The music and background score elevate key moments, though the editing could have been sharper to trim down the runtime.

Star Performances

Teja Sajja as Veda transforms into a compelling Super Yodha, balancing innocence with intensity. He carries the film’s weight on his shoulders.

Manoj Kumar Manchu as Mahavir Lama (Black Sword) delivers a striking performance as the ruthless asur bent on destroying mankind for the scripture.

Ritika Nayak as Vibha provides grace and emotional depth and is one of the most important character in the story.

Shriya Saran as Ambika brings elegance to her divine role. Her sacrifice for the people will touch your heart, also the performance is magnetic on screen.

The supporting cast including Tanjq Keller, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Raghu Ram, Koushik Mahata, and Sriram Reddy add presence and give their valuable contribution to the storyline.

Conclusion

Mirai is a bold step in Telugu cinema’s superhero genre mythology meets Marvel-style spectacle. While not flawless, it’s a visual adventure that entertains and introduces audiences to a Ramayan-inspired superhero saga. Worth a watch for its scale and Teja Sajja’s committed performance, though it leaves room for sharper storytelling in a potential sequel.

“Why would a monster eat your family? Have you seen something you shouldn’t have seen?” 👀 Roadside Attr. has unveiled the official trailer for the horror thriller movie titled Dust Bunny, marking the feature directorial debut of producer / writer Bryan Fuller. This wicked fairy tale is premiering at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival in Midnight Madness this week, hence the trailer dropping now. It won’t be in theaters until December this year. This intriguing horror mixes two common premises – a hitman neighbor who protects a young girl, and some extra scary monster that’s hiding under her bed. A 10-year-old girl asks her scheming neighbor for help in killing the monster under her bed that she thinks ate her family. Suspecting that her parents may have fallen victim to assassins after him, Aurora’s neighbor guiltily takes the job. But to protect her, he’ll need to battle an onslaught of assassins ― and accept that some monsters are real. Starring Mads Mikkelsen, Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, Sheila Atim, and Sophie Slone as Aurora. It looks like way more of an action thriller with a dash of horror, yet another hyper-stylized new hitman movie.

Trailer #2 for Jackie Chan’s ‘The Shadow’s Edge’ Action Thriller Film

“They could be in disguise – don’t let anyone slip by!” CMC Pictures has debuted a second trailer for the action thriller from China titled The Shadow’s Edge, which is already playing in theaters (including in the US) as of a few weeks ago. This is the second film Jackie Chan has made with filmmaker Larry Yang after also working on Ride On (2023) together previously. “Trust collapses. Truth twists. No one’s identity is safe. The hunt is on — step by step, move by move.” The legend returns — Jackie Chan is back on the front line, facing off against criminal mastermind (Leung Ka Fai Tony) and his elite “Wolf Pack” in a full-throttle war of shadows and strategy. Lots of trickery going on. Also starring Zhang Zi Feng, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Ci Sha, Jun, and Zhou Zheng Jie. This is a much better trailer this time around, compared to the first one which didn’t feature as much action footage. This new international trailer also features a hilarious English dub voiceover, which is quite unnecessary, along with a boat load of violence. Really selling it! Have a look.

Here’s the second international trailer for Larry Yang’s film The Shadow’s Edge, direct from YouTube:

The cunning and treacherous thieves challenged the Macau Judiciary Police in multiple dimensions. The Judiciary Police, which was in a tough battle, invited back the tracking expert Huang De Zhong who had retired for many years to join forces with the young elite of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Judiciary Police. Under the collision of traditional tracking techniques and high technology, the police and the criminals fought wits and courage, and launched a cat-and-mouse game-like duel between good and evil. The Shadow’s Edge, originally known as 捕风追影 or Bu Feng Zhui Ying in Mandarin, is written and directed by Chinese filmmaker Larry Yang, director of the films Sorry I Love You, Mountain Cry, Another Shot, and Adoring previously, as well as Ride On also with Jackie Chan. Produced by Victoria Hon. This will open in theaters in China starting this week. CMC Pictures will also debut Larry Yang’s The Shadow’s Edge in select US & Canadian theaters starting on August 22nd, 2025 this summer. Who wants to watch this?

The action-packed Baaghi series is back and Baaghi 4 is already flexing its box office muscle. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, this high-intensity actioner starring Tiger Shroff is registering a strong opening in advance bookings before its release in theatres on September 5, 2025.

Based on preliminary box office monitoring, the movie has already sold 26,500 tickets on Day 1 (September 2) at India’s major national multiplex chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. This figure ranks Baaghi 4 among Bollywood’s highest-performing films in early pre-release ticket sales for the year. Furthermore, BookMyShow reported 40,000 tickets sold for the movie on the same day, indicative of mass interest and expectation. These numbers comfortably outpace the advance booking figures of Housefull 5, a respectable benchmark for large-budget Hindi releases in 2025.

The pace merely intensified by Day 2, with early indications pointing towards a 30–40% increase in ticket sales at the same national chains. This increase is a clear testament to the growing buzz surrounding the film and its excellent connect with its action-crazy fanbase.

On revenue grounds, Baaghi 4 is off to a good start. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned around ₹1.32 crore through Day 1 advance booking (not counting blocked seats), while this figure went up to about ₹2.91 crore gross when block seats are added. There are other reports which put the gross at around ₹1.35 crore, further establishing its good pre-release pull.

Trade experts estimate that Baaghi 4 may collect a Day 1 net of ₹8–9 crore based on final occupancies and walk-in numbers. A weekend opening collection of ₹25 crore or more is easily possible if word-of-mouth and early reviews are good.

In short, with ticket sales exceeding 26,500 on Day 1, a 30–40% increase on Day 2, and advance bookings beating Housefull 5, Baaghi 4 is leading with the full amount. The film’s mix of high-octane stunts, glossy visuals, and Tiger Shroff’s action hero appeal seems to be striking a chord with audiences giving us a glimpse of what might turn out to be one of the actor’s greatest box office openings so far.

The adrenaline-packed universe of the Baaghi franchise is back in a big way with Baaghi 4, which is gearing up for its highly-awaited release. The fourth part of Sajid Nadiadwala’s blockbuster action series is promised to be four times more intense, gory, and filled with raw, high-octane action. And in an first-of-its-kind promotional strategy, the trailer of Baaghi 4 will be released only on the sets of Bigg Boss before going digital.

Salman Khan to Release the Trailer on Bigg Boss Stage

As per insiders from the production, the trailer for Baaghi 4 will be unveiled with Salman Khan present in person on August 29th during the filming of an upcoming Bigg Boss episode. Tiger Shroff, who is reprising his legendary role as the renegade rebel, will be accompanied by co-stars Harnaaz Sandhu and Sonam Bajwa for the big premiere. The trailer will subsequently be released digitally to the masses on August 30th.

This special promotional drive is bound to create huge buzz, with the fans waiting with bated breath to catch the high-octane peek into what’s in store. The private trailer release within the Bigg Boss house is also a tribute to Salman Khan’s long history with the show as well as the Bollywood world.

A Darker Turn: Baaghi 4 Gets A Rating

Baaghi 4 marks a significant shift for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment as it becomes the production house’s first-ever A-rated (Adults Only) film. With bone-breaking stunts, gritty violence, and high-stakes drama, the film embraces a darker, more intense tone than its predecessors.

The screenplay and the story are created by Sajid Nadiadwala himself, which guarantees an engaging tale infused with emotion and action-packed explosions. Directed by A. Harsha, the film delves into the depths of revolt, betrayal, and survival among the blood and rage surrounding the world.

Baaghi 4 Hits Theatres on September 5

Scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5, Baaghi 4 is bound to be a huge crowd-puller, particularly among action fans. With Tiger Shroff leading the pack and new cast members joining the fray, the film is likely to be one of the biggest action spectacles of the year.

Fans can now set their calendars for August 30, when the trailer goes live online, and September 5, when the action bursts into theaters.

“Who do you work for?!” “No one.” Well Go USA has revealed the official trailer for a sci-fi action thriller movie called Affinity, another trashy B-movie being dumped direct to VOD this year. It’s the latest from filmmaker Brandon Slagle, known for Attack of the Unknown, Frost, Battle For Saipan, The Flood, Arena Wars. “Ex-SEAL. Elite team. One impossible truth.” A PTSD-afflicted ex-SEAL rescues & falls for a woman only to lose her to mysterious kidnappers. He gathers an elite team to retrieve her but soon discovers the shocking truth: she’s been bio-engineered by a scientist grieving his own wife. Affinity stars Marko Zaror, Louis Mandylor, Brooke Ence & Jane Mirro. Every single one of these bad action movies is always about rescuing a woman taken by some bad guys. That’s the plot every time and only the context changes. So many shots of Zaror’s brooding face in this looking super pissed off and ready to beat up more people. Ha…

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Brandon Slagle’s action movie Affinity, direct from YouTube:
