Frank Sinatra Estate Stake Acquired by Iconic Artists Group

Iconic Artists Group (IAG) has acquired a portion of the Frank Sinatra estate.

IAG founder Irving Azoff revealed the news about the legendary singer while speaking at Bloomberg’s Screentime Conference, held Oct. 8-9 in Los Angeles. As first reported by Bloomberg on Sunday (Oct. 12), Azoff said Iconic “recently acquired a chunk of the Sinatra estate.”

Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE) confirmed the deal in a statement to Billboard: “Frank Sinatra Enterprises, Tina Sinatra, and Warner Music Group are delighted to welcome Irving Azoff and Iconic to the dedicated team serving the life’s work and legacy of Frank Sinatra.”

In 2007, Sinatra’s family and Warner Music Group (WMG) formed Frank Sinatra Enterprises, a global partnership to manage all aspects of Sinatra’s career, as well as his name and likeness. The deal also included ownership of Sinatra’s recordings from his Reprise era. Sinatra started Reprise, which is now owned by WMG, in 1960. FSE also represents Sinatra’s rights to his Columbia and Capitol catalogs.

It is unclear how much of the estate IAG acquired. Azoff declined to comment beyond his Screentime remarks, as did FSE beyond its statement. WMG also declined to comment.

The deal comes nearly three years after Iconic made an agreement with the Dean Martin Family Trust to manage and expand the fellow Rat Packer’s legacy. The deal included name, image and likeness, as well as the trust’s share of Martin’s Capitol and Reprise Records sound recordings, feature films, and Martin’s variety shows and specials.

During Azoff’s Q&A at Bloomberg, moderator Lucas Shaw, Bloomberg’s managing editor of media and entertainment, also asked Azoff what he considers the most valuable catalog in the world. “I normally would have said The Beatles, but I’m not sure that’s true anymore,” Azoff said. “You maybe gotta say Taylor [Swift] at this point.”

IAG works with a number of other artists and estates, including The Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt, Cher, Rod Stewart and Nat King Cole, among others. Azoff told Bloomberg‘s Shaw that The Beach Boys’ revenue has doubled since IAG got involved in their business.

Taylor Lynn Corporation acquired by Springbank directors, marking a new chapter for both industry leaders

In a landmark move for the UK events industry, Liz Taylor, founder and CEO of leading event management firm Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC), has announced her decision to step down following the acquisition of the company by Anna-Liisa Evans and Paul Gilmore, directors of the acclaimed floral design and event décor company Springbank.

This strategic acquisition brings together two of the industry’s most creative forces under the TLC brand while maintaining the distinct identity and independence of both companies.

Founded in 1995, TLC has become synonymous with exceptional event experiences. Liz Taylor, who became sole owner in 2008, has enjoyed a long-standing creative partnership with Anna-Liisa Evans, making this transition a natural evolution for both businesses.

As part of the acquisition, Paul Gilmore will take on the role of CEO of TLC, guiding the company through its next chapter. TLC operations will move to Springbank’s headquarters in Cheshire, although both brands will continue to operate as separate entities.

“This is a seamless transition,” said Gilmore. “Together, we’re combining decades of experience and creativity to offer an unmatched platform for event innovation and delivery.”

The acquisition also represents a full-circle moment: Dianne Lynn, Liz Taylor’s former TLC business partner, previously owned Springbank until it was sold to Anna-Liisa Evans in 2004. The two businesses have a rich history of collaboration, and this move renews that legacy.

“Liz has built a global reputation for excellence in events,” added Evans. “We’re honoured to build on that legacy and lead TLC into an exciting new future.”

Liz Taylor expressed her full confidence in the new leadership: “The synergy between Anna-Liisa and me has always been creatively electric. With Paul at the helm, TLC is in excellent hands for its next chapter. I’ll now focus on my consultancy business while remaining available to support when required.”

This exciting acquisition marks the beginning of a new era, blending TLC’s iconic presence in the event sector with Springbank’s signature creative flair — setting new standards in event design, innovation, and execution.

EXCLUSIVE: Voltage Pictures has acquired international rights to the high-concept horror slasher The Him from Joe Gossett (Catch Hell, Revenger). The film, which Gossett, wrote and directed, is currently in post with international sales now underway.

Pic stars Chris Elliott (There’s Something About Mary, Groundhog Day, Cabin Boy), Roxy Sophie Sorkin, Asya Miller, Mindy Cohn (Palm Royale, Billy Knight, Mother Father Sister Brother Frank) and Ryan Phillippe (Crash, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Shooter).

In The Him, a family’s elaborate Halloween display becomes a genuine massacre when a silent killer turns their home into a house of horrors—while unsuspecting crowds cheer, believing it’s the best show in town.

Pic is produced by Andrea Bucko (Alpha Gang, Dead Man’s Wire, Longlegs) of Sugar Rush Pictures and Cassian Elwes (Dallas Buyers Club, Mudbound, Lawless) of Elevated Films, alongside Joel Michaely, Veronica Radealli, and Michael Mammoliti. Tomer Shmulevich (Captivated), Meadow Williams (Den of Thieves, After), Stacey Kemp (Street Smart), Danilo Dayani, Phillip Neumann and Phillippe are executive producers, with Buck Traweek and Izak Zabek serving as co-executive producers.

White Rabbit Productions, founded by Tomer Shmulevich, and Elevated Films are financing the film.

“The film takes the audience’s love of immersive horror and turns it on its head—what if the show you’re cheering for is real? It’s a terrifying concept that will leave people talking for a long time” said Alexandra Cocean, President of Global Sales and Distribution at Voltage Pictures.

Bucko of Sugar Rush Pictures added, “The Him is a chilling reimagining of the slasher genre, masterfully blending intimate family dynamics with the spine-tingling suspense of classic horror.” She continued, “Joe Gossett has crafted the film that strikes a powerful contrast between the comfort of normal life and the brutal intrusion of violence, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion of suspense and terror with its unforgettable blend of psychological horror and shocking twists.”

Elwes of Elevated Films said, “The Him is a remarkable and unsettling film that pushes the boundaries of the slasher genre.  Joe Gossett has crafted something truly original—The Him will leave audiences haunted long after the credits roll.”

Producers Elwes and Bucko most recently premiered Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire out of competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, where the movie’s North American rights were acquired by frosh distributor, Row K Entertainment.

Elliott is repped by United Talent Agency and Vault Entertainment. Sorkin is repped by Entertainment 360, UTA and Ziffren. Giller is repped by Joey Stanton at Vybe Trybe Entertainment. Cohn is repped by LB Talent and Constellation Media Group. Phillippe is repped by his manager, David Schiff, at MGMT Entertainment, and his legal team, David Weber and Lon Sorensen, at Sloane, Offer, Weber, and Dern, LLP.

LimeWire has acquired Fyre Fest but is “not bringing the festival back”

LimeWire has acquired the infamous Fyre Festival brand – find out more below.

In July, Fyre founder Billy McFarland announced that the Fyre Festival brand and all of its IPs had been sold to a bidder on eBay for just under a quarter of a million dollars. McFarland shared at the time that he was working on a “tech platform designed to capture and power the value behind every view online,” and told followers that it’s “coming soon”.

Now, the bidder that purchased Fyre on eBay has been revealed as the revived early 2000s pirating platform, LimeWire. LimeWire initially launched in 2000 as an illegal peer-to-peer file-sharing and pirating platform. It was ultimately shut down, but resurfaced in 2022 as a crypto company.

LimeWire’s purchase of Fyre was confirmed in a press released per Deadline, which reads: “Once synonymous with disruption in their own very different ways, LimeWire and Fyre are now poised to begin an entirely new chapter – one grounded in technology, transparency, and a sense of humour.”

LimeWire CEO Julian Zehetmayr saying: “LimeWire’s acquisition is not about repeating past mistakes – it’s about saving one of the internet’s most infamous cultural memes from extinction and turning it into something new. Fyre became a symbol of hype gone wrong, but it also made history.”

Zehetmayr also clarified that “we’re not bringing the festival back – we’re bringing the brand and the meme back to life. This time with real experiences, and without the cheese sandwiches.”

The tech company’s COO Marcus Feistl added: “Fyre became a symbol of everything that can go wrong. Now it’s our chance to show what happens when you pair cultural relevance with real execution.”

Additionally, it is reported that actor Ryan Reynolds‘ creative agency Maximum Effort also made a bid for the Fyre brand, though the amount it offered remains disclosed. Reynolds said of LimeWire’s winning bid in a statement, per Rolling Stone: “Congrats to LimeWire for their winning bid for Fyre Fest. I look forward to attending their first event but will be bringing my own palette of water.”

The original Fyre Festival was first developed by McFarland eight years ago, and was planned to run over two weekends on a private beach in the Bahamas. That edition in 2017 was reportedly set to include performances from Blink-182, Major Lazer, Disclosure, Migos, Pusha T, Tyga and more.

It made headlines when it was revealed to be fraudulent, with punters arriving on the scene and facing inadequate conditions and a lack of food and water. The ordeal was then captured in the now-iconic Netflix documentary FYRE.

McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison in 2018 for defrauding investors and was released after just four years in 2022. Fyre Fest 2 was originally set to run between May 30 and June 2 on an island in Mexico, before the tourism board and local officials claimed that no such festival existed.

Before it was cancelled, the second edition of Fyre Fest saw tickets sell for between $1,400 and $25,000 (£1,081-£19,305), while premium packages were priced as high as $1.1million (£850,000). Ahead of the planned second instalment, former Fyre Festival investor Andy King warned of “a lot of red flags” over the event’s planned reboot. In May, it was revealed that the Fyre Festival brand was looking to launch a hotel experience later this year, marketed as a Caribbean getaway in Honduras in September.

Miles Davis’ Catalog Acquired by Reservoir Media

Miles Davis’ Catalog Acquired by Reservoir Media

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Next year would have marked Miles Davis’ 100th birthday. In advance of the centennial, independent music rights company Reservoir Media has struck a deal with the Miles Davis estate to acquire 90 percent of Davis’ music publishing rights and the estate’s income from his catalog, according to The New York Times. Reservoir and the estate will share control of Davis’ name and likeness. Terms of the acquisition have not been made public, though the Times estimates Reservoir to have paid between $40 and $60 million.

Reservoir has also outlined plans for a celebration of Davis’ centennial in 2026. These include a previously announced biopic centered on Davis’ love affair with French singer Juliette Gréco—Mick Jagger is among the film’s producers—an international tour by the former Miles Electric Band, now known as M.E.B., and a four-night “Miles Davis Centennial Celebration” to take place at San Francisco’s SFJazz center this March.

Reservoir currently administers the publishing catalogs of Snoop Dog and Joni Mitchell, among others, as well as the rights to songs by Sheryl Crow, the Isley Brothers, Offset, and Sonny Rollins. In 2021, the company purchased hip-hop and electronic label Tommy Boy Music, which led to De La Soul’s full discography being made available on streaming for the first time. Sony Music has confirmed to Music Business Worldwide that it retains the recorded music rights to Davis’ albums released between 1955 and 1985.

“With Reservoir, there’s a real respect for Miles—his music, his style and his cultural impact. That means a lot to us” Davis’ nephew Vince Willburn Jr. shared on behalf of the estate in a press statement. “This partnership gives us the chance to elevate his legacy in new ways, and to ensure that his influence continues to inspire.”

Reservoir founder and CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi added:

Miles Davis is one of the most influential musicians of all time, and it is an incredible honor that his catalog has found a home at Reservoir. We are deeply grateful to the entire Miles Davis Estate–Cheryl, Erin, Vince, Darryl and Jeff–for entrusting us with this responsibility.” She added, “This moment is also a recognition of Reservoir’s proven commitment and capability to preserve legacies and reignite discovery of legendary artists on modern platforms, like streaming and social media. As we head into his centennial year, we look forward to showcasing Miles’ brilliance to new audiences, ensuring his music continues to be heard and celebrated worldwide.
