Bigg Boss 19 contestant Ashnoor Kaur has found strong support from fans and celebrities alike after her co-housemates Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri made comments about her body. Adding his voice to the criticism, former Bigg Boss contestant Awez Darbar also slammed the behaviour, calling their remarks “absolutely disgusting”.

In recent live feed video, Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri were seen making comments on Ashnoor Kaur’s body type.

Awez Darbar slams body-shaming remarks against Ashnoor

Awez took to his Instagram Stories to support Ashnoor. He did it by re-posting a video which was shared by Ashnoor Kaur’s team on her Instagram account.

The clip captures Ashnoor apologising for breaking a house rule while Farrhana Bhatt is seen shouting at her. The clip then shows Tanya Mittal, Kunickaa Sadanand, and Neelam Giri make remarks about Ashnoor’s weight. Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz are also seen talking about her body type.

In the live feed, Tanya and Neelam were captured discussing Ashnoor’s appearance. Tanya was heard commenting that despite Ashnoor’s regular gym sessions, she appeared to have gained weight, while Neelam added that her daily workouts didn’t seem to be making any difference, expressing surprise over her weight gain.

In a recent episode of, Neelam asked Kunickaa and Tanya, “Jurassic Park dekhoge? (Will you see Jurassic Park?” pointing towards Ashnoor when she was standing with Pranit More. Following this, Kunickaa started laughing.

Awez reposted the video on his Instagram Stories with a message, “Disgusting remarks like always!!! But I know @ashnoorkaur is strong she will handle it with grace”.

Other celebs support Ashnoor

Earlier, actor Jannat Zubair had also extended her support to Ashnoor Kaur, 21. She also took to her Stories section and wrote, “A person’s body is not public property for jokes and opinions. It’s 2025. We should’ve evolved past body shaming by now. She’s on that stage because she’s talented, confident and unstoppable, not because she fits someone’s idea of a “perfect body”. Proud of you @ashnoorkaur for holding your head high and being You! (white heart emoji. (sic)”

Ashnoor’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star and former Bigg Boss 10 contestant Rohan Mehra had also slammed Kunickaa, Tanya, and Neelam for their remarks. He shared, “Body shaming is unacceptable. What happened to @ashnoorkaur today was wrong and needs to be called out. Respect and kindness should be the bare minimum. Shame on you, @iam_kunickaasadanand, @neelamgiri_, and @tanyamittalofficial (sic),” along with a thumbs down emoji.

Popular names, including Gaurav Khanna, Kunickaa Sadanand, Ashnoor Kaur, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, Mridul, Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, and Shehbaz Badesha, are in the race for the Bigg Boss trophy.

Bigg Boss 13 fame and actor-singer Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, entered the Bigg Boss 19 house as a wildcard contestant in the third week of the show. Since then, he has managed to avoid being nominated for elimination even once, a fact that was also highlighted in this Weekend Ka Vaar. However, later, he was seen boasting that he had the support of the late Sidharth Shukla’s fans.

During Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan asked actor Gaurav Khanna to share his assessment of other housemates. While talking about Shehbaz, Gaurav mentioned that he had been playing a good game since he managed to avoid nomination even once since entering the house. Later, when Salman left the housemates to reflect on his advice, Shehbaz appeared visibly angered by Gaurav’s comments.

What Shehbaz Badesha said

He said, “Main bhi ek baar nominations main aakar dekhna chahta hoon, kya hota hai mere saath. Hain, bethe hai fir Sidharth Shukla ke fans bhi mere saath. Jo winner hai naa iss show ka, uski fan following bethi hai mere saath (Even I want to see what happens with me when I get nominated. Sidharth Shukla’s fans are with me. The winner of this show has a fan following that supports me).”

The internet was irked by Shehbaz using the late actor Sidharth’s name to gain sympathy. One of the comments read, “WHATTT? Is that what he’s thinking? None of Sidharth Shukla’s fans is supporting him. I think he needs a reality check.” Another wrote, “Yeh itna confident i mean delusional kaise hai? (How is he so confident, I mean delusional).”

Another commented, “What an opportunist!! On what basis do you wanna get support from Sidharth fans?? because he was his sister’s boyfriend??!! Why do u wanna use fans of a person who is no more in this world! You are just using his name for clout!!” Another wrote, “GK was friends with Sid, but he never mentioned him to gain support from Sid fans, but this lowlife parasite is disgusting.”

What’s the connection between Shehbaz Badesha and Sidharth Shukla?

Shehbaz is Shehnaaz Gill’s brother. Sidharth and Shehnaaz met during their stint in Salman Khan’s reality show, Bigg Boss 13. The two fell in love, and fans adored their on-screen chemistry. Even after leaving the house, Shehnaaz and Sidharth were often seen together, whether in music videos or on television shows.

However, in 2021, Sidharth tragically passed away from a heart attack at the age of 40. Shehnaaz was heartbroken during his funeral and later even composed a song in his memory. Subsequently, Shehbaz got Sidharth’s face tattooed on his arm, for which he was criticised by a section of society.

At present, Shehbaz is emerging as one of the most irritating contestants in the Bigg Boss 19 house. His attempts to add humour and drama are being criticised on social media.

Meanwhile, in tonight’s episode, Salman Khan will announce the names of contestants who will be eliminated from the house. While reports suggest that Nehal Chudasama and Baseer Ali are likely to be evicted, confirmation will come in today’s episode. Bigg Boss 19 airs on JioHotstar at 9:30 pm and on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.

I’m no one to judge because Bigg Boss ke apne fans hain — main bhi Bigg Boss ki fan hoon. It’s enjoyable! I wait for 9 o’clock, I watch it, and I wait for the Weekend Ka Vaar. Mujhe acha lagta hai, kyunki matlab this season thoda confusing hai, kyunki mere abhi tak koi favourite nahi bana hai. So I’m a little like, why haven’t I got a favourite yet? So yeah, I’m curious to know ki mera favourite kab main bol paungi — ‘yeh mera favourite hai.’”

Speaking of, if she is still in touch with her friends from Bigg Boss 18, Shilpa said, “Abhi bhi waise hi hai jaise tha — waise hi hai. And like I said, you know, itne din 24/7 ghar mein agar hum rehte hain, toh dosti ban jaati hai. Main toh nahi bolungi ki dushmani bhi bahar nibhaate hain log, kyunki possible hi nahi hai. When asked about Bigg Boss 19’s Kunickaa Sadanand’s game, Shilpa Shirodkar revealed, “Kunickaa ji ke saath actually maine kaam kiya hai — bahut films ki hain maine Kunickaa ji ke saath. Aur Kunickaa ji actually jaise thi na, waise hi hain. Matlab reality mein bhi she is very bindass! She’s like that only. There’s nothing — you’re not seeing another Kunickaa ji. Kunickaa ji has always been like that. So, people who understand her, understand her; people who don’t — they don’t. And she actually doesn’t care- ki agar samjho toh samjho, nahi samjho toh nahi samjho, good for you — that kind of thing.”

Shilpa On Doing Reality TV

Speaking of, if she wanted to do any other reality TV show, Shilpa said, “Actually maine socha nahi hai — kaunsa hai, kya hai? Lekin haan, I want to do Traitors, actually. Maine Traitors dekha hai, and I think it will be really fun! Action! Aur agar mujhe agar Traitor choose karte hain, then imagine main kya karoongi. Imagine — ye sab positive imagine I have to flip, can you believe? Oh my God. It will be a delight for me — ki God, maine kaise survive kar liya udhar!”

Music composer Amaal Mallik is currently a contestant on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 19. The composer has been grabbing headlines, but mostly for the wrong reasons. In the latest episode, Amaal was seen backbiting about Awez Darbar while speaking to Farrhana Bhatt, calling the influencer’s followers fake. His remarks did not sit well with viewers.

The episode also saw Kunickaa Sadanand confronting Neelam Giri for revealing their private conversation to Zeishaan Quadri. The fight escalated, with Awez, Pranit and Mridul jumping in. Later, Neelam felt everyone was ganging up on her and broke down in tears. She then went to Amaal Mallik and told him that Awez had been willing to fight with him for the past four weeks. Amaal appeared visibly offended by the revelation.

While talking to Neelam, Amaal asked when Awez had said that, and later went on to abuse him, saying “2 kaudi ka…” before the camera quickly panned away. He was later seen talking to Farrhana about Awez, claiming, “Out of 30 million, 25 million of his followers are fake. I’ve given him so much business. If he has the guts to refuse me work outside, then I’ll believe he is a man.”

The internet was quick to criticise Amaal’s behaviour, with many calling him out on social media. One user tweeted, “Ewww 🤢 So cheap, wahiyat contestant… always barking from behind.” Another wrote, “#AmaalMallik as usual, that arrogant artist who thinks everyone is below him… I wish he showed the same guts by not promoting his work through these influencers in future. He also needs them to promote his songs.” Another simply commented, “He is so arrogant.” While one user posted, “He is literally the worst. I hate how no one stops him from talking like this,” another added, “And there are still people supporting him. Disgusting.”

In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan praised Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha for their prank of hiding food items and clothes of fellow contestants to spark fights inside the house, though viewers largely found the prank boring. Nehal Chudasama was announced as the third contestant to be evicted, but was later sent to the secret room instead.
