Police Report Alleges Sean Combs Assaulted a ‘John Doe’ Music Producer

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Sean Combs has been accused of allegedly assaulting a music producer after the accuser claimed Combs masturbated in front of him in February 2020 and then later forced him into a sexual act in March 2021, in a newly surfaced police report.

Per a report from People, the music producer — who filed a civil suit in July — filed a police incident report to the Largo, Florida police department, where he resides, in connection with the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s station on Sept. 20. It claims that the incidents took place while working on a project collaboration with C.J. Wallace, the son of the late Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans.

In the police report, via People, on Feb. 26, 2020 the victim and Combs were in a warehouse containing Notorious B.I.G.’s clothing and while Combs was going through the racks he started to masturbate underneath one of the late rapper’s shirts.

According to the civil lawsuit, Combs allegedly invited the John Doe to a private listening session for a Biggie project, where he claims he was forced to take ketamine before being taken to the warehouse.

“[Victim] stated that Combs picked out clothing and set them down on the couch and eventually sat on the couch next to clothing when he received a phone call,” the police report alleged. “[Victim] continued to search through clothing when he heard what sounded like porn coming from where Combs was sitting.”

The allegations in the police report continued: “[Victim] expressed he tried to ignore it… but he then heard more noises, and when he looked, he could see Combs jerking himself off covering himself with one of Notorious B.I.G. that was next to him on the couch. [Victim] stated that Combs removed the shirt to uncover his penis and told [Victim] to come finish him off.”

The victim said in the police report that he continued his business affiliation with Wallace following the Combs incident, but that the tenor of their partnership changed. He alleged that one of Wallace’s other business collaborators, Willie Mac, “began calling him a liar and threatened a lawsuit against him.” In March 2021, per the report, the producer claims he met with both men to discuss their professional partnership in California.

However, per the victim’s police report, once he arrived at KandyPens residence in Hollywood Hills for a meeting, two other individuals allegedly “roughed him up and put something over his head and partially his eyes.” The report claims he was then taken to another room and thrown on an ottoman. There, he allegedly recognized Combs’ voice and saw the mogul’s black custom Air Force One shoes. He alleged Combs was “screaming, cursing and calling him a snitch.”

During the incident, per the report, Combs allegedly “grabbed [him] by the head using his hands and stuck his [Combs’] penis inside of [victim’s] mouth.”

“[Victim] stated that he pulled away, but that Combs pulled his head back using his hands and stuck his penis inside of [victim’s] mouth again and the cycle occurred approximately 3-4 times for approximately 3-4 seconds each time,” the report claims. Following the incident, Wallace allegedly came in to assist the victim and “felt bad for him at the time.” The music producer claimed to have suffered from depression and mental health issues after the incident.

Reps for the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department could not provide further information to Rolling Stone involving the incident report. Combs legal team and a rep for Wallace did not immediately return Rolling Stone’s requests for comment.

The news comes on the heels of another alleged victim, fashion designer Bryana Bongolan, amending her lawsuit on Oct. 14. She claims Combs held her over the 17th floor balcony of Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s high-rise apartment during an alleged 2016 assault.

On Thursday, Combs was transferred to the New Jersey federal prison FCI Fort Dix, As Rolling Stone confirmed. The move came after a federal judge sentenced Combs to 50 months in prison following his conviction on two counts of transporting his ex-girlfriends and male escorts across state lines for commercial sex. His projected release date is May 8, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Combs recently filed his formal notice that he’s appealing his conviction and sentence and his camp has also asked President Trump to consider a pardon.

From career milestones to new music releases to major announcements and those little important moments, Billboard editors highlight uplifting moments in Latin music. Here’s what happened in the Latin music world this week.

Kali Uchis to Receive Special Honor

Kali Uchis has been named a 2025 ASCAP Women Behind the Music, alongside honorees Kehlani and KPop Demon Hunters’ lead vocalist EJAE. “Every year, ASCAP looks forward to spotlighting some of music’s most extraordinary women by honoring them for their achievements at our Women Behind the Music event,” said Nicole George-Middleton, ASCAP Executive Vice President & Head of Creative Membership, in a statement. “This year we are thrilled to recognize three women who are pushing boundaries and capturing the world’s attention across different genres. Their creative success has propelled them to the top of the charts and is set to inspire the next generation of women in music.”

The Colombian artist will receive her award at the  17th annual ASCAP Women Behind the Music event, taking place Wednesday, Nov. 12 in Los Angeles, just weeks after her Superstar Q&A at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami earlier this month.

Lele Pons & Guaynaa in the Halloween Spirit

Lele Pons and Guaynaa are celebrating their first Halloween together as parents. Just days before the spooky holiday on Oct. 31, the Venezuelan social media star and Puerto Rican artist shared a photo of their adorable costume alongside their baby girl. In the cute carousel, the family of three is seen dressed up as Peter Pan (Guaynaa), Wendy Darling (Lele) and Tinkerbell (their daughter) — in costumes designed by Karina Garcia, according to the Instagram post.

Juan Luis Guerra is Celebrated Back Home

This week, Juan Luis Guerra was named “Patrimonio Musical y Poético de República Dominicana” (Musical and Poetic Heritage of the Dominican Republic) by Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (MIREX, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in his native Dominican Republic.

“His career transcends the awards and distinctions he has accumulated,” said Minister Roberto Álvarez during the ceremony, according to a press release. “What is truly significant is his ability to narrate — with poetic verses that seduce and captivate the imagination and the heart — the everyday experiences of our people: their dreams of social justice, their deep faith, their joy, and their unwavering sense of humor.”

During the event, which coincides with the National Day of Merengue and National Day of Bachata, Guerra — behind timeless hits such as “Bachata Rosa,” “La Bilirrubina,” and “Mi Bendicion” — expressed the following: “I would like to conclude by giving glory and honor to the Lord Jesus. If there is one thing I am sure of, it is that my melodies, metaphors, and all my songs come from him.”

Latin Music Educator Award

The Latin Recording Academy, in partnership with the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, has announced its inaugural recipient of the Latin Music Educator Award. Honoring an “exceptional educator from the global music community who is making a significant impact by incorporating Latin music into their curriculum,” according to a statement, the first annual award was handed to Luciana Ortega of the Instituto Santa María de San Carlos, in Chile.

As part of the award, the school’s music program will receive a $10,000 instrument donation. Ortega — who has been teaching music for more than 10 years — will be honored during the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Week in Las Vegas. “We are proud to honor Luciana Ortega with the first Latin Music Educator Award,” said Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy. “Her daily commitment to music students brings to life our mission to honor, celebrate, nurture and elevate Latin music and those that ensure its enduring legacy.”

Indie Pop’s Hunny Create Great Indie Rock Hooks » PopMatters

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Hunny’s SPIRIT! finds them in a transitional place. The record has the same punky indie-rock sound as their earlier material. Lineup-wise, though, singer-guitarist Jason Yarger has essentially dismissed the rest of the band and is continuing as a solo project under the same name. Despite this, Hunny’s now-former drummer Joey Anderson plays drums on SPIRIT!, while the ex-bassist Kevin Grimmett serves as producer and is credited as co-writer on just over half of the tracks. It feels like this change must have been entirely amicable.

Yarger notes in the press materials that he’s happily married with a child, so he’s mostly writing songs about things other than romantic angst. That is clear in a track like “Spam Calls”, where the chorus is literally Yarger complaining, “I hate these spam calls / I miss my landline,” and name-checking random towns the calls are coming from. Yet the melodies, both in the vocals and guitar, are absolute earworms, and it’s very easy to start singing along to “Bridgeport, Connecticut / Twin Falls in Idaho”.

That is how it goes on SPIRIT! Yarger’s songs are short and punchy, yet also incredibly catchy. He’s a fan of noisy guitars and drums, but an even bigger fan of musical hooks. “Sidewaze” has moments of chaotic punkiness, yet the chorus, “You’re driving me sidewaze / You’re texting me wrong directions”, is the thing that gets the repetition and focus in the song. “POV Ur Dead and I’m Checking My Hair in Ur Sunglasses” changes up this basic style by using disco-style rhythm guitar and drums. Yarger is joined in the shouty chorus by female backing vocalists, where they all yell, “POV you’re G-O-N-E!”

“POV” is the second track, and the backing vocals are something of a holdover from the opener, “Title Track”. It begins the record with shouting, as cheerleader-esque voices encourage, “We got spirit / Yes we do!”, before Yarger comes in as the lead vocalist. A strong, buzzing guitar riff drives this song. Under the guitar, though, Hunny supports the riff using a melodic synth.

While loud guitars are generally Yarger’s instrument of choice, those synths show up periodically in essential roles throughout SPIRIT! “Tired of U” features chirpy, modular synths in its chorus, giving the song a sound highly reminiscent of the Rentals‘ first album from the mid-1990s. The mid-tempo “Somebody Else” essentially functions as a ballad, with Yarger singing in a sweeter-than-usual tone and somewhat burying his vocals under the drums and synth melody. “Catalina” combines the guitars and synths in the chorus, creating a big wave of catchy noise. He then drops both out for the verses, using just bass and drums under his voice. It’s a very effective contrast.

Even on the songs that aren’t using clever arrangement choices, Yarger’s knack for big hooks makes basically everything a catchy earworm. “Horse w/Curse” features a main guitar riff so good that he ends up singing along to it with “Do do do’s”. “Xing Guard” is one of the few concessions to a love song, with a quiet piano section and significant noisy sections. Yet the chorus is an awkward metaphor that could also be taken at face value: “Crossing guard / Do you wanna let me cross or not / ‘Cause it’s confusing me.”

“Waterfalls” again doubles the hook in guitar and keyboard. It also incorporates arrangement tricks, employing both an acoustic guitar and programmed high-speed synth lines in the final verse. “Paintball” closes out the album with some of SPIRIT!‘s most pointed lyrics. A slower tempo and chunky guitar set the scene, and the pre-chorus hits pretty hard: “If we can’t be honest without electronics / We can’t be honest at all.” Yarger’s vocal tone is subdued and sad here, and it’s very effective. Of course, there’s also a big, loud chorus to follow, but that’s par for the course for Hunny.

SPIRIT! is instantly fun, but with its somewhat silly tone and short songs (most under two minutes and 30 seconds), it may feel a bit slight at first. Give it a few spins, though, and Yarger’s knack for hooks starts to reveal itself. This isn’t just fun and catchy, it’s also sneakily well-written. Sometimes it’s more challenging to be a little silly but still be this good. Hunny deserve those extra listens to let Jason Yarger’s hooks fully sink in.

Chat Pile and Hayden Pedigo Team Up and Get Dirty

Chat Pile and Hayden Pedigo Team Up and Get Dirty

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

On the surface, and let’s be honest, underneath the surface too, Chat Pile and Hayden Pedigo make unlikely collaborators. The intersection of DIY noise rock and instrumental guitar soli (as John Fahey called it) has been a lonely crossroads, but somehow the Oklahoma City musicians make it look like a fruitful place to cut deals and hatch plots.

Both Pedigo and Chat Pile have some things in common—locale being the most obvious, since Hayden grew up in the Texas Panhandle. And both have clearly figured out how to attract an audience to their usually marginal styles of music, in ways that go beyond talent—there are plenty of turbulent weirdos and skilled Fahey acolytes out there in the dingy burgs of the fading frontier, but few have headlined Dutch heavy-music festivals (Chat Pile) or modeled on a fashion runway (Pedigo). In the Earth Again (October 31) provides a look at what makes each of these artists stick out, and what might bind them together.

At least since Metallica’s The Black Album, it’s been no secret that heavy dynamics can pair surprisingly well with melodic elements. Chat Pile tweaks the formula by hinting at consonance while jettisoning commercial metal’s production values. With Pedigo’s cleanly picked yet brooding lines supporting their corroded textures and raw nerves, Chat Pile’s sound achieves a new kind of sweep. Pedigo’s studied approach, meanwhile, gains an unsettling focus often lacking in his sometimes overly streamlined compositions. Hardcore fans of either band might object first—on tracks like glittering instrumental opener “Outside,” Chat Pile’s violence has been curbed, while the pummeling howl of cuts like the “Never Say Die!” submerge Pedigo’s thoughtful starkness underneath a wave of numb, mutilated fury.

But even when disappearing in service of the other artist, both Chat Pile and Pedigo come off somehow stronger. Their shared vision of the forgotten Southwest, curdled cowboy illusions, and grubby rural-suburban dystopia packing a powerful punch. Some effective blends do occur, merging Pedigo’s forlorn twang with Chat Pile’s unhinged bluster, as on doomer anthem “The Magic of the World,” or “Demon Time,” which features exquisitely bleary vocals from Raygun Busch and a thorny Pedigo lead, all set off by tolling death-chords from Chat Pile guitarist Luther Manhole and bassist Stin. And the contrast of CP drummer Cap’n Ron’s remorseless, wet-cement rhythms with Pedigo’s barbed burble (check out the deranged “Fission_Fusion”) always delivers a jolt. The track with the best title on the album, “I Got My Own Blunt to Smoke,” shows Pedigo at his unadorned best, while the middle section of “Radioactive Dreams” is a blast of chugging ache—pure, uncut Chat Pile.

The real surprise, though, lies in how this collaboration reveals the feral streak that has always run through Pedigo’s acoustic guitar meditations, and the thwarted tenderness that lies at the heart of Chat Pile’s wounded roar. Wordless country-blues and scarred, sludge-laden laments both turn out to be different strains of Americana, a hopeless, disfigured shadow country that might form the republic’s true face.

Diana Ross Makes Ovation Hall Her “House” During AC Performance

Diana Ross remains the ultimate diva, entrancing her beloved audience during her most recent Beautiful Love Tour stop in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Taking over Ocean Casino Resort’s Ovation Hall Saturday (Oct. 25), the “Queen Of Motown” brought Hollywood glamour, New York elegance, and Detroit charm to a sold-out crowd of adoring patrons, many of whom were heard covering the icons classic tunes as they bopped into the venue with spirited anticipation.

Clips of the legend’s rise to stardom and highlights of her illustrious career greeted the crowd as her band, back-up, and crew hit the stage, just ahead of Ross making her grand entrance to — you guessed it — “I’m Coming Out.” And did she ever, in an opulent orange gown and coat that screamed both fall and fierce!

Stage presence was on ten as she broke in and out of song on occasion to acknowledge fans, all while keeping the show moving at a smooth pace. With hits spanning over five decades, it would only make sense that many were cut short, but she still manages to touch on all the known classics while giving her more die-hard followers treats from projects like Lady Sings The Blues and The Wiz.

She’s also a beacon of gratitude, a refreshing trait in someone so accomplished. Sharing her own mantra with the crowd, highlighting her band several times throughout the night, bringing out daughter Rhonda for a sweet duet, these are the moments when you realize why she’s been in the business for so long. It’s not just the obvious talent and beauty, but an understanding of how community, collective care and humility will keep one sane enough to withstand the storms, even while living in your gift and dismissing the nonsense. It radiated through her smile the entire evening, mirroring the brilliance of the fab fashions she quick-changed into and out of throughout the night.

The evening was thee highlight of a weekend spent on the luxe boardwalk resort venue, that boasts acts ranging from Ross and Smokey Robinson to John Legend and Lenny Kravitz. Catch Ross in a city near you here and check out what Ovation Hall has to offer at Ocean Casino Resort.

Watch Måneskin’s Victoria De Angelis join Duran Duran for ‘Psycho Killer’ at Halloween Manchester show

by jummy84 November 1, 2025

Duran Duran brought out Måneskin‘s Victoria De Angelis for a rendition of ‘Psycho Killer’ at their Halloween show in Manchester – check out clips of the moment below.

  • READ MORE: Duran Duran: “We’d love to do Glastonbury – we just need the right slot”

Last night (October 31) marked the first time the ‘80s pop icons have held their annual Halloween show in the UK. The tradition began back in 2022 after the band played an exclusive one-off show at the Wynn Theatre in Las Vegas. Taking place on Halloween, the gig saw Simon Le Bon and co. break out huge hits and rarities with a darker theme than usual.

That gig would later become immortalised with the release of their 16th album ‘Danse Macabre’ – a record that pieced together new music, darkly reimagined versions of Duran Duran’s classic songs, and covers of Billie Eilish and Talking Heads.

Since then, the one-off Halloween shows have continued each year, with fans encouraged to come dressed in Halloween attire, as was the case at the Co-op Live venue in Manchester last night.

The gig saw them joined by bassist De Angelis, who dressed as an angel, for Talking Heads’ 1977 classic ‘Psycho Killer’, which follows her playing it on ‘Danse Macabre’ alongside former Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor on guitar.

When they first teamed up for the cover, the band’s John Taylor said De Angelis was “probably the most important electric bassist out there right now”.

He continued: “I met a couple of the guys from Måneskin at a party and they said, ‘you’ve got to meet our bass player.’ She’s such a dynamo! I was like ‘what inspired you?’ and Vic said, ‘Tina Weymouth’. So when Psycho Killer made the cut for the album, I thought, ‘I’m gonna ask her if she’d like to have a bass-off!’”

De Angelis said being asked to feature on the album was “such a wild honour”, adding: “I met John at a party, and we immediately bonded talking about music and bass. I told him Tina Weymouth was my absolute pinnacle of cool, attitude and incredible musicianship all rolled into one, and he told me he also started playing bass inspired by her and she was one of his music idols.”

News of last night’s Halloween gig came shortly after Duran Duran had announced two huge shows in Ireland at the start of the year, which will be held in the next couple of weeks and see Nile Rodgers and Chic open. Afterwards, they will play two UK shows, one in Exeter and one in Chelmsford.

Around the time that the ‘Danse Macabre’ album was announced, the band spoke to NME about how they would love to play at Glastonbury – something they have surprisingly not yet done. “I’d love to [do it] – we just need to get the right slot, that’s all,” Le Bon said.

“We have had the chance to do it before, but it wasn’t playing the main stage and I think we’d like to be doing that for sure. I’m sure we’re in negotiations [with Glastonbury], and if not, we will be.”

As for De Angelis, last year, she announced a new solo project that saw her trade in her signature rock sound for DJ decks and something much more dance club ready with the release of debut track ‘GET UP BITCH! (Shake Ya Ass)’ – a high-energy dance song that fuses bouncy techno with baile funk and features Anitta.

Speaking about the collaboration, De Angelis told NME that her love of “baile funk and Brazilian Latin club music” offered “the perfect combination of all the sounds I like combined with hard techno”.

Sevdaliza Releases Album ‘Heroina’ With Karol G, Kenia Os, Tokischa

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Sevdaliza is celebrating womanhood in all its forms on her new album. On Friday, the experimental singer released her third LP, Heroina — an ode to femininity that features collaborations with Karol G, Kenia Os, Pabllo Vittar, and Tokischa.

“I started creating around the world with people carrying different energies, different frequencies. Out of that process, a few songs found their way onto Heroina,” Sevdaliza explained in a press statement. “They carry the same thread that’s always been with me, humanity, the resistance of the body and mind, the way women and queer people are still shaped by control and the male gaze.”

“But this time, it’s a different kind of protest,” she added. “Heroina is about wanting to be free, and at the same time feeling how limited that freedom can be. That tension between surrender and resistance became the core of this album.”

The 13-track record includes her massive hit “Alibi,” featuring Brazilian drag singer Pabllo Vittar and French star Yseult, “Ride or Die, Pt. 2” with Puerto Rican rapper Villano Antillano and Dominican queen Tokischa, and “No Me Cansaré” with Karol G. Elsewhere on the record, she welcomes collaborations with Kenia Os, La Joaqui, and Eartheater.

Trending Stories

In an Instagram post celebrating the LP’s release Friday, she explained how the featured artists and collaborators on the album “represent different shades of womanhood: resilience, sensuality, and independence.” She explained, “Together, they form a collective voice that challenges traditional narratives and celebrates the power of the feminine in all its forms.”

Heroína marks Sevdaliza’s first full-length project since 2020’s Shabrang, which included tracks “Oh My God” and “Joanna.” She later released the EP Raving Dahlia in 2022.

Taylor Momsen Rocks New Version of ‘Grinch’ Song

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Taylor Momsen is revisiting a holiday classic — with a rock twist.

The Pretty Reckless frontwoman has re-recorded “Where Are You Christmas?” 25 years after first performing the song as Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The reimagined version appears on the band’s new holiday EP, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, released Friday (Oct. 31) via Fearless Records.

See latest videos, charts and news

The original ballad, co-written by Mariah Carey, James Horner, and Will Jennings, first appeared on the 2000 film’s soundtrack and was famously performed by Momsen at just seven years old. That same year, Faith Hill’s version reached No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Momsen’s 2025 update opens with a nostalgic snippet of her childhood recording before launching into a full-blown rock version, anchored by crunchy guitars and her signature gritty vocals. “Where are you, Christmas? Why can’t I find you?” she sings, giving the wistful lyrics new energy and edge.

The six-track EP also includes four original songs — “I Wanna Be Your Christmas Tree,” “Christmas Is Killing Me,” “Blues on Christmas,” and “When We Were Young” — as well as a reprise titled “Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You.”

“Pretty Reckless Christmas started as just one song, but the moment we got into the studio, it took on a life of its own,” Momsen said in a statement. “There was so much emotion, nostalgia and chaos wrapped up in it that it didn’t feel right to leave it standing alone. To really honor it, I needed to build a whole world around it. That’s how this project became a full body of work — something bigger, deeper and far more personal than I ever expected.”

Momsen’s last studio album with The Pretty Reckless, Death by Rock and Roll, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart in 2021, making them the first female-fronted band to hit No. 1 on the chart with their first four albums.

Meanwhile, “For I Am Death,” The Pretty Reckless’ first new music since its 2021 album Death by Rock and Roll, climbs to No. 1 on the ranking dated Nov. 8. It’s the band’s eighth leader and fourth straight, a streak that dates to 2020, when “Death by Rock and Roll” led for three weeks, followed by reigns for “And So It Went” and “Only Love Can Save Me Now” in 2021.

In 2013, The Pretty Reckless made its maiden appearance on the tally with “Heaven Knows,” a song that ended up reigning for four weeks beginning in March 2014. That kicked off a streak of four consecutive No. 1s, with “Heaven Knows” followed by “Messed Up World” (2014), “Follow Me Down” (2015) and “Take Me Down” (2016).
