Travis Kelce’s Ex Posted Cryptic Message After Taylor Swift Engagement

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend, has been suspected of writing a cryptic post online shortly after the NFL star and Taylor Swift announced their engagement. The media personality took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (Aug. 26), where she reshared a clip of Tracee Ellis Ross speaking about the power of joy.

In the video, Ross explains, “I think joy is different from happiness. I feel like happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is something that you earn and work for and takes practice. I feel like joy has legs. I feel like joy has feet. feel like joy has roots. I feel like joy creates space and allows room for more than just a good day.”

Nicole posted the video with reflection on her own journey. “Read about this concept years ago in a book called Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn’t Enough,” she wrote, referencing Kay Warren’s self-help book. “I aspire. So so good.”

Her reflections arrived just hours after Kelce and Swift revealed their engagement on Instagram with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” alongside a carousel of floral-filled engagement photos. In the shots, Kelce is seen on one knee beneath a floral arch, while a beaming Swift holds his face and shows off her huge diamond ring.

The couple’s announcement comes nearly two years into their relationship, which began one year after Kelce’s publicized split from Nicole. The NFL star and the I Am Athlete Daily host dated on and off between 2017 and 2022, and while Nicole has rarely mentioned her ex’s name, she’s been open about the heartbreak that followed.

On her Pre-Game podcast earlier this year, Nicole spoke about the insecurities and pain that stemmed from infidelity in a past relationship, fueling speculation about her time with Kelce. She also pushed back against critics urging her to “get over” her ex, saying on the Second Wind podcast that speaking her truth is her “super power.”

Nicole has even hinted that Kelce’s romance with Swift worked in her favor.

In a May podcast episode, she noted that it’s “so much worse if the guy you loved for so long goes and dates a dud.” Instead, she said, it’s easier to acknowledge when the “new girl might be popping, might be really hot.”

Take a look at Kayla Nicole’s post and Travis and Taylor’s engagement photos above.

witty’s charting a different path for this nebulous cluster. On the 20-year-old’s electrifying album #wings, nearly every track sounds like he started without any clue how it would end. “She” dreams up a cosmic pluggnb canvas for TJAYY before ditching the idea and unleashing a chiptune breakdown worthy of a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon boss fight. “I make my music really fucking loud because it’s the only time where I can feel immersed in something,” he says of his sound, which he calls “cryy.” “It allows me to think and feel like a person for a little bit. When I’m outside, there’s nothing going through my brain, just fried.”

witty says he grew up listening to Pokémon soundtracks and that it was pluggnb, not classical training or a jazz music education, that taught him how to write chord progressions. He’s also obsessed with video games, particularly the cartoonish fighting game Brawlhalla, which he’s played professionally since age 14. Under the handle STING RAY, he’s won thousands of dollars at tournaments and been one of the top 15 players for the last five years—even reaching number two in the world. “I feel like the gaming got me good at music,” he says. “I looked at it through the perspective of improving in a game.” One way to interpret his work is through the lens of video game music, which he went to Berklee College of Music to study before he was kicked out. VGM treats vocals and instruments like elements to manipulate and mash up, emphasizing chaos that synchronizes with in-game clicks and actions. “the light left my iris” reminds me of the kind of epic symphony that would suit a cutscene.

bunii, another leader of the scene, grew up listening to ayowitty and now works with him actively. The 17-year-old convinced his hero to collaborate after he saw his music on a repost channel. His solo music is much more guitar-forward, all math rock freakouts and intricate chord progressions. He lists Paramore, MCR, American Football, and Japanese rockers like susquatch and The Cabs as fixations. But even the most analog songs shimmer with producer tags: BASTARDS! Before getting into the guitar, bunii started making beats after hearing the pluggnb of Autumn! and Genius’ beat deconstruction videos.

This so-called indie music is delightfully immature and cracked at the seams, recorded in that climactic sliver of adolescence when you’re not a clueless kid but also not so old that you’re jaded. Many of the artists are self-taught. “Whenever I’m in my room, there’s always a guitar in my hand,” says bunii. In high school, which he just graduated from, he developed distinct chord progressions by rewiring elements from his favorite jazz pieces. Parts of the skyscraping “grand mal” came from Kenny Dorham’s jazz standard “Blue Bossa.”

Travis Kelce Teases Taylor Swift Easter Eggs From Podcast Episode

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

While Taylor Swift fans are calculating how much financial ruin they’re willing to sustain with each progressive vinyl variant drop of her new album The Life of Showgirl, the singer-songwriter’s fiancé Travis Kelce has been playing it on repeat. “I’m gonna go ahead and just keep poking the bear to all the Swifties,” he said on the first New Heights episode since her announcement-filled appearance. “I keep listening to this album.”

Kelce has been “dancing all throughout the house” to the record, set for release on Oct. 3. “I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff,” he said. “It’s just so much fun to listen to, man.”

“At least right now, every time it comes on, I always catch myself [dancing],” he said about his current favorite track, “Opalite.” Some Swifties have already claimed the song as their favorite, but purely on the basis of vibes, since no singles have been shared yet. They still have a few weeks before they’ll hear the record in full, but in the meantime they have some more hints to pour over.

“She walked away, like, flying around,” Travis said about Swift coming onto the podcast to announce the record. “She was having so much fun getting to tell everyone about the album and obviously dropping a few easter eggs and seeing if anyone caught on.” Her fans were hunting for clues in the engagement announcement Swift and Kelce shared Tuesday — even though she said on the podcast that she would never leave hints about her personal life — so it’s safe to say they probably caught on to the easter eggs she dropped and a few more she doesn’t even know about.

Trending Stories

“I know Tay walked away absolutely ecstatic and excited and happy that she came on here and had her first podcast experience with me and you, man,” Kelce told his brother and co-host Jason Kelce. At the beginning of her episode, Swift said, “I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”

“This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” Swift added. “And so that effervescence has come through on this record. And like, as you said, bangers.”

Kanye West Documentary ‘In Whose Name?’ Trailer Arrives: Watch

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

The Ye documentary In Whose Name? has released an explosive trailer, featuring appearances from Drake, Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk.

Directed by Nico Ballesteros, the doc follows Ye (formerly Kanye West) from about 2018 until 2024 and is completely shot on an iPhone. The trailer jumps around from West’s deteriorating relationship with then-wife Kim Kardashian — who filed for divorce in 2021 — to his failed 2020 presidential run and Sunday Service performances.

“The best thing about being an artist who’s bipolar is anything you do and say is an art piece,” Ye says in the clip.

The doc pulls the curtain back on Ye to give fans an authentic look at the method to his madness in recent years and what makes him one of the most polarizing artists of the 21st century.

There are plenty of celebrity cameos, including studio sessions with Drake, Pharrell and Swizz Beatz. West is also shown walking out with Playboi Carti and Marilyn Manson at the Donda 2 listening party in Miami and delves into his relationship with his children.

“Should I have blown up the Gap sh–? Should I have blown up the Adidas sh–? But the answer is yes,” he says, referencing his split with the companies following his antisemitic remarks in 2022.

In Whose Name? will be released in about 1,000 theaters across the U.S. on Sept. 19 for a limited time. Tickets can be purchased on the doc’s website. “A documentary six years in the making,” a press release for the film reads. “3,000 hours of footage refined to one story about the world’s most polarizing living artist.”

Mac and Me Available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for First Time

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Mac and Me, the much-beloved and laughably terrible 1988 sci-fi cult classic, has been given a 4K Ultra HD upgrade. Get your copy via Amazon before Paul Rudd buys them all.

A commercial flop and critically maligned, Mac and Me is infamous as a bizarre, low budget E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial ripoff loaded with egregious McDonalds and Coca-Cola product placement. Yet it has survived in pop culture as a piece of “so bad it’s good” nostalgia, as well as the punchline to Rudd’s two-decade-long running gag where he plays the same clip from the movie every time he appears on one of Conan O’Brien’s shows — even his podcast.

Vinegar Syndrome has restored the film from a fresh scan of a 35mm original negative and packed the 2-disc Blu-ray set with features: new commentary tracks from co-writer/director Stewart Raffill and Cinematic Void’s Jim Branscome, as well as film historians Wayne Byrne and Paul Farren; new interviews with Raffill, alien designer/puppeteer Christopher Swift, and actress Christine Ebersole; a new featurette with cinematographer Nick McLean and camera operator Michael D. O’Shea; and more. Check out the trailer for the re-release below.

Hurricane Katrina Documentaries, How To Watch: Free Streaming Links

by jummy84 August 27, 2025

Twenty years ago, one of the U.S.’s most devastating and destructive natural disasters Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Louisiana, and changed the city’s story forever. The gut-wrenching series of events resulted in mass destruction and endless pain, but has spawned countless stories of immense courage, resilience, and bravery.

In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the historic event, filmmakers have continued their never-ending mission to make sure those stories live on. Some documentaries were filmed just a few months after the devastation, capturing the raw emotion as shock still settled in. Other projects were produced nearly two decades afterward, equipped with a widened lens of the storm’s aftermath. The productions give insight into how residents have tried to rebuild their lives since the unforgettable storm, with more context surfacing about the role that government neglect, race, class, and other factors have played in the city’s recovery.

Although the docs about Katrina are emotionally difficult to watch for many viewers, they serve as important reminders to not turn a blind eye to the harsh realities that many New Orleans residents had no choice but to endure since. Through documentation, education, and compassion, the people impacted by the hurricane are receiving the respect and resilience needed to keep moving forward.

See a list of five impactful documentaries about Hurricane Katrina down below, including options for free streaming.

  • ‘When The Levees Broke: A Requiem In Four Acts’ (2006)

When The Levees Broke: A Requiem In Four Acts is a film directed by Spike Lee that captured the devestation of Hurricane Katrina shortly after the tropical cyclone ripped through NOLA. It was filmed in late August into early September 2005, and premiered at the New Orleans Arena on Aug. 16, 2006. It was then aired on HBO the following week. When The Levees Broke consists of news footage, still photos, and interviews from over 100 people gathered over the course of eight trips by Spike and his team.

The legendary director was determined to tell the real and vital stories of the people who lived in the city. He said of the project at the time, “The one thing that was surprising me going in [is] I didn’t think there would be as much humor as there ended up being. But we just successfully captured the spirit of people. It was one of those things that I have to laugh to keep from crying. Some said they were still crying despite the laughing.”

The four-part documentary is available on HBO Max. Sign up for a free trial HERE.

  • ‘Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time’ (2025)

Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time explores the storm from the perspective of those who lived through it. It begins from the phase of scrambling to prepare for Katrina, to the chaotic atmosphere, and stretches to the aftermath 20 years later as resident still struggle to rebuild. Race Against Time also delves into how evacuees faced immense discrimination, which caused tensions to rise and violence to increase.

The cinematic doc premiered on July 27, 2025, on National Geographic. It was directed by Traci A. Curry while Ryan Coogler served as an executive producer, alongside Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Peter Nicks for Proximity Media.

The docuseries is split into five episodes and is available on Hulu. Sign up for a free trial HERE.

  • ‘Trouble The Water’ (2008)

Trouble The Water offers a unique perspective on Hurricane Katrina as it is a close-up of one couple and their journey. The 2008 documentary follows a 24-year-old aspiring rap artist Kimberly Rivers Roberts and her husband Scott at a Red Cross shelter in Central Louisiana. It includes flashback footage from Roberts’ video camera as she and her neighbors try to navigate to safety as the storm rages on.

Produced and directed by Tia Lessin and Carl Deal, the film includes clips from the couple’s camera, archival news segments, other home videos, and footage filmed over two years in between the storm and the film’s release. It explores the relationship between the government and citizens, heroism of strangers and survivors, and much more.

Trouble The Water is now available on Netflix. Watch it HERE.

  • ‘Katrina Babies’ (2022)

As heartbreaking as the circumstances of Hurricane Katrina already were, arguably the most devastating thought is the reality of what the children and babies of New Orleans experienced. Directed by Edward Buckles, Jr., Katrina Babies is a documentary that focuses on the youth of NOLA during and after the storm. It debuted in 2022 and was also a Tribeca Film Festival selection that same year.

Director Buckles shared a message earlier this week about the documentary in honor of Katrina’s approaching 20th anniversary. “The babies who were neglected and forgotten in 2005 aren’t babies anymore, and this is our story! 20 years after Hurricane Katrina, an entire generation still grapples with the lasting impact of having our childhood redefined by tragedy,” he reflected. “I spent seven years documenting the stories of my peers and children who survived the storm.”

Katrina Babies is available to stream on HBO Max. Sign up for a free trial HERE.

It’s also available on Hulu. A free trial is available HERE.

  • ‘Katrina: Come Hell And High Water’ (2025)

As the most recent doc on the list, Katrina: Come Hell And High Water serves as Spike Lee‘s revisit of the storm’s aftermath — two decades later. It is co-directed by Geeta Gandbhir and Samantha Knowles and examines the life-altering results of the “hurricane that caused 1392 fatalities and more than $100 billion in damages in 2005.”

With stories told by the people of New Orleans in their own words, the series spotlights how government oversight and neglect can impact Americans during times when help is needed the most. Come Hell And High Water serves as “a testament to the resilience of New Orleanians and a stark call for vigilance and preparation as cataclysmic natural disasters continue to become more and more commonplace all over the world,” per Netflix.

Katrina: Come Hell And High Water is available on Netflix. Watch it HERE.

Teenager Convicted in Terror Plot Against Taylor Swift Concert in Vienna

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

The 16-year-old who helped prepare a failed terrorist attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna, Austria, last year has been convicted in Germany, reports the BBC. Mohamed A, a Syrian national living in Germany who was 14 at the time of the planned attack, made a full confession to the charges. He was given an 18-month suspended sentence under juvenile criminal law in Berlin court yesterday (August 26). Prosecutors claimed Mohamed A was radicalized by Islamic State terrorist group propaganda online when he helped the other two would-be attackers by translating bomb-building instructions from Arabic.

Concert organizers called off all three of Swift’s shows at Vienna’s Ernst-Happel-Stadion last August after police were informed of a credible threat. Nearly 200,000 people had been expected to attend the concerts. Ultimately, the plan was thwarted and nobody was harmed.

Police arrested three people in connection with the alleged terror plot. Main suspect Beran A, an Austrian man who was 19 at the time of his arrest, remains in custody and an investigation into his role is ongoing. (Investigators allege Beran A also planned to carry out an attack in Dubai in March 2024, notes the BBC.) The second suspect, who was 17 at the time of his arrest, has since been released without charge. Mohamed A was the third suspect, and while he could not be held in custody because of his status as a minor, he was charged by German prosecutors back in June.

“Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives,” Swift said in an Instagram post after the reason for the Vienna tour dates’ cancellation became public knowledge. “Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows. In cases like this one, ‘silence’ is actually showing restraint, and waiting to express yourself at a time when it’s right to. My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that.”

‘Skate’ release date, gameplay, free to play, early access explained

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Skate finally has a release date, albeit in Early Access form. The game has had a long road to release, being announced during the pandemic and receiving a heap of player feedback during closed tests. But now the launch is finally upon us.

Here is a breakdown of everything you need to know about the Skate release date, its gameplay, and its business model.

‘Skate’ release date

Skate will release on September 16, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. This will be an early access release, so the full scope of the game’s content won’t be available, and several key features won’t be added until post-launch seasonal updates.

This includes beloved features like Darksliders and Impossible tricks. Additionally, replay editor improvements will also arrive with Season 2 and Season 3, in addition to party voice chat.

‘Skate’ gameplay

Skate‘s gameplay was officially unveiled in the release date trailer. The game features the return of the Flick-It System, which has been rebuilt for the modern generation in Frostbite, with new tricks added in.

The Skatepedia also offers a one-stop guide to tricks, skills, and tips to help players get acquainted with the gameplay or revisit any tutorials they have missed.

What does Early Access mean for ‘Skate’?

Early Access for Skate means that the game is launching without its full range of features or finalised visuals. The plan is to continue building the game out with the community across the in-game seasons so EA and Full Circle can respond to feedback in an agile way and tackle the most important issues first.

This is an unusual release strategy for EA, which rarely ever utilises Early Access. However, it makes sense for the game as a full release is likely still at least a year or two away.

Will ‘Skate’ be free to play?

Skate will be completely free to play, so you can hop in for no upfront fee. The catch is that the game will have microtransactions, but these will all be cosmetic, and you won’t be able to buy power items or gear to make performing tricks easier.

Skate releases on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC on September 16, 2025.

Drake and PartyNextDoor Drop 19 Music Videos for ‘Somebody Loves Me’

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Drake has revealed 19 music videos for the $ome $exy $ongs 4 U single “Somebody Loves Me” with PartyNextDoor.

Drake and PartyNextDoor, alongside streamer Kai Cenat, a frequent Drake collaborator, held a contest in May that called on aspiring directors to submit music video treatments for the song, promising 20 finalists $15,000 to create a 30-second to one-minute-long clip of the song. “If you don’t know what a treatment is then…a treatment is an idea for a music video,” Cenat announced on his popular Twitch stream. “That is insane,” he added, excited about the opportunity.  According to a Drake rep, the project came to life after Cenat himself shared on a stream that he wanted to direct a Drake video as well.

The 20 winners were revealed in June on the website, Drake Related. “Our finalists represent a diverse range of experience levels, as we were committed to giving new and emerging directors – including a few first-time directors – the opportunity to showcase their talent,” a post reads on the website. However, only 19 music videos have been published as of press time.

The 19-winning videos can be viewed via Drake Related. In one of the new visuals, helmed by Jordan Sook studios, Drake and PartyNextDoor are made into seemingly digitized Muppet-style puppets, partying with real women (that video is actually nearly two minutes long). In another one-minute clip by a director named Seyi.KG, brown and dark-skinned women (also looking highly digitized) move sensually across a gilded library in body paint.

In other Drake news, the Canadian rapper released his latest single, “What Did I Miss?” in July, first as part of a livestream dubbed “Iceman Episode One.” “I’m back in your city tonight, walkin’ around with my head high/I saw bro at the Pop Out with them but been dick riding gang since ‘Headlines,’” he says on the track, motioning to Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 concert celebrating the West Coast after his victory in the pair’s unprecedented rap battle.

Drake is currently suing his and Lamar’s mutual label, Universal Music Group, or UMG, for defamation and harassment for distribution of “Not Like Us,” where Lamar alleges that Drake and his affiliates are “pedophiles.” Recently, UMG CEO Lucian Grainge denounced the suit and its particular claims against him personally. “Whilst, as part of my role, I certainly have financial oversight of and responsibility for UMG’s global businesses, the proposition that I was involved in, much less responsible for, reviewing and approving the content of ‘Not Like Us,’ its cover art or music video, or for determining or directing the promotion of those materials, is groundless and indeed ridiculous,” Grainge wrote in in a signed court document.
