Bryan Adams announces December 2025 UK arena shows

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Bryan Adams has announced three December UK arena dates as part of his ongoing ‘Roll With The Punches’ tour.

The Canadian legend has played a number of shows in Britain already, with the ‘Roll With The Punches’ tour seeing him perform nine dates in May, starting at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on May 8 and ending at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham on May 18.

Adams also played this month’s Radio 2 In The Park, as well as Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus in August alongside ‘When You’re Gone’ collaborator Mel C.

Now, the ‘Run To You’ singer has announced he will be returning to our shores in December for three dates in Hull, Cardiff, and Brighton. Full details are below. Artist pre-sale starts at 9am BST on Wednesday September 10, while general sale commences at 9am BST on Friday September 12.

Tickets will be available here.

The news follows the success of the artist’s 16th studio album, ‘Roll With The Punches’, which entered the Official UK Albums Chart at number three. It is the first album released under his own record label, Bad Records, which he founded last August.

Bryan Adams’ 2025 ‘Roll With The Punches’ UK tour dates are:

DECEMBER
8 – Connexin Live, Hull
9 – Utilita Arena, Cardiff
10 – Brighton Centre, Brighton.

Recently, the singer shared the origins of his “first real six-string” from his classic hit ‘Summer Of ’69’.

Contrary to the song’s lyrics, the guitar was not bought at a “five and dime”, but at a music shop in Reading in 1970, when he was 12-years-old. Upon living in Israel for a year with his father, who worked for the Canadian embassy, Adams left his guitar in the country when he moved back to Canada.

In February, a Bryan Adams gig in Australia was cancelled due to a large sewer blockage caused by “fat, grease and rags”.

Judge Urges A$AP Relli to Consider Dropping A$AP Rocky Defamation Case

Judge Urges A$AP Relli to Consider Dropping A$AP Rocky Defamation Case

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

A California judge suggested Monday that A$AP Relli should consider dropping his defamation lawsuit against A$AP Rocky before an upcoming ruling that could leave him on the hook for Rocky’s substantial legal fees.

“I would urge you to contact the other side and see if a deal can be made,” Los Angeles County Judge Randolph M. Hammock said at a morning hearing in downtown L.A. “Maybe in exchange for dismissing the lawsuit, they’ll drop their claim for fees. … Maybe it’s time to cut your losses.”

Hammock warned that if Rocky prevails with his pending motion to dismiss the case on free speech grounds – something he signaled was likely – Relli could be facing upwards of $50,000 in fees owed to Rocky and the rapper’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina. “I’m not talking chump change here. It would be tens of thousands, easily,” he cautioned.

Relli, born Terell Ephron, appeared by phone at the hearing, representing himself. He told the court that his team of high-powered lawyers stopped representing him after a criminal court jury found Rocky not guilty of shooting him with a semiautomatic gun during a dispute on a Los Angeles street in 2021.

“I’ve already invested over $500,000. I paid [my prior law firm] Sheppard Mullin, and they left me at the last minute. So now, I’m stuck on my own. I’m just fighting for my rights here,” Ephron told Judge Hammock.

Speaking slowly and deliberately, the judge repeatedly tried to break down the legal issues behind Rocky’s pending anti-SLAPP motion. He said the law is so “harsh” that Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, and Tacopina could still seek fees, even if Ephron dismissed his case immediately.

“Mr. Ephron, listen to me carefully, OK? This is a very, highly technical motion. It has to do with the First Amendment,” Judge Hammock said. “They have to [show] this is a matter of public interest. They probably will show that. I’m pretty sure they will. I think your case has gotten some press, okay? And I know that Mr. Mayers was recently acquitted. … Maybe you can reflect upon this case and what you want to do.” The judge said it was still possible he might rule in Ephron’s favor, but again he warned that Ephron was the underdog. He said Ephron might be throwing “good money” after “bad” if he persists.

Editor’s picks

California’s anti-SLAPP statute was designed to give defendants a way to mount early challenges to frivolous lawsuits seeking to chill their free speech. Defendants bringing the motion must first convince the court that their speech was a matter of public concern. If they can, plaintiffs must then step in and convince the court that they already have ample admissible evidence proving they were defamed, even before any discovery in the case. It’s a high bar, the judge said.

Ephron filed his defamation lawsuit against Mayers and Tacopina in 2023. He claimed the men unfairly branded him a liar and extortionist who was trying to shake down the “Sundress” rapper with the shooting claims. Mayers vehemently denied assaulting Ephron.

During Mayers’ three-week criminal trial, an eyewitness testified that Rocky only had a prop gun firing blanks the night of the confrontation. Jurors also heard a recording in which Ephron told an associate in 2022 that he was willing to “walk away” and hide from prosecutors on an island if Mayers paid him. They also heard Ephron demanded $30 million.

On Monday, Judge Hammock set an Oct. 23 hearing for the anti-SLAPP motion in the defamation case. He said Ephron had to file an opposition before then, whether he finds a new lawyer or not. Ephron also is suing Mayers for civil assault related to the 2021 confrontation. A trial in that case is set for January.

“Rocky has done nothing wrong, and we’re looking forward to a decision,” Mayers’ civil lawyer James Sargent told Rolling Stone after the Monday hearing. He declined to say whether Mayers would be willing to strike a deal with Ephron to waive his right to attorneys fees in the defamation case.

In a filing last month, Mayers’ lawyers wrote that there’s “no question that the alleged statements made by [Tacopina] were done so in a public forum about an issue of public interest.”

“Mr. Mayers is a world-renowned artist who also happens to be in a romantic relationship with one of the most famous women in the world, Rihanna. There is an incredible public interest in Mr. Mayers. This point is underscored by the fact that numerous media publications sought out comments from Mr. Mayers, through Mr. Tacopina, upon both the initiation of criminal charges against him and the subsequent civil lawsuits filed by Plaintiff Terell Ephron,” the civil defense lawyers said. “The general public was incredibly interested in the allegations against Mr. Mayers and his opinion regarding their validity, or lack thereof. The interviews and statements given by Mr. Tacopina on behalf of Mr. Mayers, and himself, absolutely fall under the protection of the anti-SLAPP statute. As such, the defamation claims should be dismissed in their entirety.”

Mayers has long maintained his innocence in the face of Ephron’s claims. He did not testify in his own defense, but two other A$AP Mob members testified that his prop gun came from the set of the “D.M.B.” music video he shot with Rihanna in July 2021. The friends said the prop gun only fired blanks.

Trending Stories

When the jury returned its verdict, handing Mayers a resounding victory in his criminal case, the rapper and actor dove over a waist-high courtroom barrier to embrace Rihanna, who was seated in the front row. He then hugged Tacopina and addressed the jurors as they left the courtroom. “Thank you all for saving my life. Thank you. Thank you for making the right decision,” he said.

Mariah Carey, Doja Cat & More

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

The MTV VMAs 2025 was full of fire performances and big wins, from Mariah Carey taking home the Video Vanguard award to KATSEYE bringing “Gnarly” to the pre-show stage, to Alex Warren sharing how he prepared for his number to Tate McRae’s steamy performance, we’re taking you through everything you missed from the night!

LL Cool J: I think there’s so many different fans that are gonna be watching for so many different reasons. I just want all of those fans to get to see their favorites.

Tetris Kelly: The MTV VMAs just took over New York and from rehearsals to the carpet to Sunday night’s big show, performances and winners, we got all you missed in Billboard All Access.

Doja Cat shook the crowd with new music, as Tate McRae wowed with her usual mesmerizing choreo you. The show’s producer talked about the juggernaut of putting on this show.

Van Toffler: It’s really a crazy week leading up to the VMAs because kind of anything can go wrong from people missing their planes to now getting the COVID, technical problems, and it’s hundreds of people involved, so it gets messy and long and hairy, but it’s mostly fun because anything can happen in a live show.

[In 2013] Miley Cyrus’ big teddy bear couldn’t open up, so she couldn’t come out of the teddy bear. We couldn’t fit Bruno’s whole band on the stage, or get Justin pyro, so anything can happen. The most grueling is pretty much the Vanguard Award, because they are the longest and we use the entirety of the stage.

Tetris Kelly: Mariah Carey received the Vanguard Award and delighted the crowd with nothing but hits. Ariana Grande presented the icon. She also won for her music video, “Type Dangerous.”

Keep watching for more!

Sphere’s The Wizard of Oz Could Make More than $1 Billion

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

While previewing the new digitally-augmented presentation of The Wizard of Oz at Sphere in Las Vegas, Sphere Entertainment Co. CEO James Dolan told press that the project had gone way over its original budget. “We went way over the budget. What we were originally thinking, we ended up almost two times what we were originally thinking,” Dolan said. “We’re getting up pretty close to that $100 million mark — it was worth it.” And he may have been right, as it’s been revealed that it could be a billion-dollar revenue generator for Sphere.

Lucas Shaw at Bloomberg reports that with fans paying approximately $200 a ticket, The Wizard of Oz is currently generating sales of approximately $2 million a day, meaning that it could earn more than $1 billion during its run — which could stretch on indefinitely, while also being shown at additional Sphere locations as well.

Dolan told analysts that “Ultimately, we’ll run The Wizard of Oz forever… It’s hard for me to imagine a better product.” That said, Dolan has also approached Warner Bros. and Disney about potentially giving Harry Potter and Star Wars the Sphere treatment.

This interest in expanding the Sphere movie catalog makes sense, as while Sphere has quickly become a premiere location for concerts, Shaw notes that the company actually makes more money from showing movies than it does from live performances, as the bands keep almost all of the money from ticket sales. While Sphere will earn about $200 million from concerts in 2025, the amount it will earn from movies like The Wizard of Oz as well as Darren Aronofsky’s long-running Postcard from Earth is closer to $400 million.

Sphere will still continue to host concerts, though — while Taylor Swift won’t be doing a residency anytime soon, Backstreet Boys will resume their residency of the globe-shaped venue beginning December 2025. Here’s how to get tickets.

Ayo Edebiri Handles Rude Reporter After During Viral Press Conference

Ayo Edebiri Handles Rude Reporter After During Viral Press Conference

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

After being disregarded during a question about the Black Lives Matter movement, Ayo Edebiri handled the exclusion most graciously— and answered the question anyway.

During a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Edebiri was accompanied by her co-stars Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield to promote their new movie, After The Hunt.

The film apparently draws comparisons to the #MeToo movement, and reporter Federica Polidoro took it upon herself to ask only Roberts and Garfield about the aftermath of the movements mentioned above, as it relates to Hollywood.

“What [have] we lost in the politically correct era? What [do] we have to expect in Hollywood after the Me Too movement and Black Lives Matter are done?” Polidoro asked before clarifying that she only wanted Roberts and Andrews to respond.

Edeberi, appearing shocked and confused, interjected in the most professional way.

“Yeah, I know that that’s not for me, and I don’t know if it’s purposeful if it’s not me, but I just am curious. I don’t think it’s done, I don’t think it’s done at all,” she replied.

She continued, “I think maybe hashtags might not be used as much, but I do think that there’s work being done by activists, by people, every day, that’s beautiful, important work that’s not finished, that’s really, really, really active – for a reason, because this world is really charged. And that work isn’t finished at all. Maybe [because] there’s not mainstream coverage in the way that it might’ve been […] But I don’t think it means that the work is done.”

Due to the backlash, Polidoro responded to the controversy with a lengthy “#officialstatement” on Instagram.

“Following an interview, I have been subjected to personal insults and attacks because of a question that, for some reason, was not well received by some members of the public. I find it striking that those who unjustly accuse me of racism and consider themselves custodians of justice find acceptable violent language, personal attacks, and cyberbullying,” she wrote.

Later, noting, “I would like to clarify that, rather than focusing on the thoughtful responses of Ayo Edebiri, Julia Roberts, and Andrew Garfield, the discussion continues solely on how I should have phrased the question. All the contributions from those present were reported in full in the published interview, without any omissions.”

Polidoro claimed to not been “aware of any protocol that dictates the order in which questions must be asked in an interview” and added, “To those who unjustly accuse me of racism, I would like to clarify that in my work I have interviewed people of every background and ethnicity, and my own family is multi-ethnic, matriarchal, and feminist, with a significant history of immigration. I have collaborated for over twenty years with numerous national and international publications of all political orientations, always approaching my work with openness and professional rigor. In my view, the real racists are those who see racism everywhere and seek to muzzle journalism, limiting freedom of analysis, critical thinking, and the plurality of perspectives.”

She, however, didn’t explain why she denied posing the question to all three panelists instead of just Roberts and Garfield.

“Assemble!” – Foo Fighters are teasing a return with “important shredding updates”

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Foo Fighters appear to be teasing their return, calling on fans to “assemble” and sharing some photos from the studio. Check out the posts below.

The band’s 11th and latest album, ‘But Here We Are’, was released in 2023. It marked their first material since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins the previous year, and saw them enlist Josh Freese as a touring sticksman.

  • READ MORE: Foo Fighters live in Manchester: invincible and still untouchable

This July, Dave Grohl and co. marked their 30th anniversary by sharing a new single called ‘Today’s Song’. Earlier this year, Freese announced that he had departed the Foos after they “decided to go in a different direction with their drummer”.

The group have since reportedly enlisted Ilan Rubin – essentially swapping with Nine Inch Nails for their ex-touring drummer Freese.

Last Thursday (September 4), Foo Fighters seemingly began the rollout of their next era by posting a shot of the six-piece band’s legs and feet standing together in a circle.

“Foo Fighters Assemble!!!” they captioned the snap. They then hinted at an imminent announcement, writing: “Make sure you’re subscribed to the newsletter for info you won’t want to miss… just sayin’…” Sign up here.

Another upload last Saturday (September 6) saw Grohl, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear recording in Studio 606 at some point in 2025. Yesterday (7), the band posted a photo of Chris Shiflett putting down a guitar part. “Shifty Sunday!!!” they wrote.

The latter picture also directed followers to “sign up for more important shredding updates” via the Foos’ newsletter. The group are yet to share more posts or further information, at the time of writing.

Foo Fighters haven’t performed live since this time last year, but are scheduled to play some gigs in Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Mexico next month and into November – suggesting new material could emerge soon.

They reportedly cancelled European dates for 2025 last year, following the news that Grohl had “recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage”.

Freese recently addressed his sacking from Foo Fighters, explaining: “Looking back, it was probably more an issue with their management.” However, the drummer said the Foos’ material “wasn’t music that I really resonated with”.

Upon sharing ‘Today’s Song’, Grohl thanked every former member of the band for their contributions throughout the years. He praised “the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese”, and said that Hawkins was “still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever”.

Experience Mitski’s Concert Film ‘The Land’ in Theaters This Fall

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Mitski: The Land, filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, screens in theaters for a limited time

Bummed you missed out on Mitski‘s last tour? You can catch it on the big screen this fall. Mitski: The Land will hit theaters for a limited time on Oct. 22.

Filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre exactly one year ago (Sept. 6, 7, and 8), the shows were in support of Mitski’s last album, 2023’s The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. The set list contained tracks from the LP — including her first-ever hit, “My Love Mine All Mine” — and highlights across her discography.

Trending Stories

Mitski has always been known for her magnetizing stage presence, featuring sharp, synchronized dance movements. The 2024 tour featured a seven-piece band, with choreography by Monica Mirabile and stage design by Andi Watson. The film was directed by Grant James, and mixed by her longtime producer, Patrick Hyland. Tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 15.

In her 2021 Rolling Stone cover story, Mitski spoke to us about her approach to her beloved concerts. “I guess fame is relative,” she said. “There’s Taylor Swift fame and then there’s local-DIY-scene fame. The real struggle for me in getting bigger is, how do I maintain integrity in the performance? How do I make sure the audience experience is still intimate and emotional in this 8,000-cap room? How do I not resort to flashy pyrotechnics onstage? Because I don’t want my show to be about that — I want people to enter into a place with me and have an experience, and then leave having experienced something important.”

HYBE Latin America Launches Regional Mexican Label S1ENTO Records

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

HYBE Latin America announced on Monday (Sept. 8) the launch of S1ENTO Records, its new record label focused on emerging regional Mexican artists.

The company’s first signees include Pase A La Fama‘s top three groups: Grupo Destino, Musza and Low Clika. The reality show, developed by HYBE Latin America and Telemundo, set out to find the next música mexicana band and officially crowned Musza as the winning band in June.

The three groups were selected for their “exceptional talent” and will enter a “rigorous” training and development process, “an approach unique to HYBE as a global company, aimed at enhancing their artistry, professionalizing their projects, and preparing them for international audiences,” according to a press release.

Related

“With S1ENTO Records, we want to open a path for emerging artists to grow with professionalism, discipline, and creative freedom,” Isaac Lee, chairman & CEO of HYBE Americas, said in a statement. “Following the vision of Bang Si-Hyuk, who has always believed in empowering talent from its roots and projecting it globally, our mission is to transform local talent into sustainable projects with an impact that transcends borders.”

Throughout the show, the three bands crafted their respective sounds, combining traditional regional Mexican music, like norteño, banda and cumbia, with corridos tumbados for a modern twist. While the band members inially rotated to perform in different groups, ultimately, the three that made it to the finale stuck as an ensemble for the last few weeks of the competition, with guidance from judges Ana Bárbara, Adriel Favela and Horacio Palencia.

“While the show began as an entertainment format, it also became a platform for emerging artists and an incubator for some of the most outstanding talent in Mexico and the United States,” added Myrna Pérez, GM of S1ENTO Records and creator/executive producer of Pase a la Fama. “This label, which will eventually expand to other artists, is today the home of that community: musicians who aspire to go beyond the music and build a holistic 360° narrative. Everything we create, from songs to stories and visuals, is designed to generate an experience that moves you.”

Howard Stern Trolls Media As He Addresses Future with SiriusXM

Howard Stern Trolls Media As He Addresses Future with SiriusXM

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Following reports over the summer that his SiriusXM program would be canceled at the end of his contract in 2025, Howard Stern addressed the speculation head-on with a spectacular troll job on Monday. In his first episode back from summer break, Stern pranked the media by handing the mic to his friend Andy Cohen, who pretended that Stern had parted ways with SiriusXM and taken over the show.

“I know you’re expecting a big announcement from Howard, and this is not how things were meant to go,” Cohen said. This was supposed to be a cleaner hand off — I’m kind of winging it.” Within minutes, The Associated Press and other media outlets ran headlines about Cohen replacing Stern.

Eventually, the prank was revealed, as Stern took over the mic to finally address his future. “Everything you’ve been reading about me in the paper… is completely false,” Stern began. “I was just getting so fucking annoyed with everyone writing me, asking me if I was okay because I’d been fired.”

Stern proceeded to recap recent events, noting how the media reported he had been fired “for being too woke. Stern scoffed, “I still don’t even know what that means. “If I’m woke, okay who gives a fuck? … Sirius employs a lot of woke people and a lot of right-wingers, too.”

“Then all of a sudden, I’m sitting home and everybody I know in my world, even peripherally, is writing me. ‘Are you okay, are you okay?’ ” he continued. “None of it is true, zero truth.”

“What pisses me off is now I can’t leave. I’ve been thinking about retiring, now I can’t.”

While Stern did not elaborate on whether he has reached a new contract extension with SiriusXM, he said he is “very happy” at the company and praised its CEO, Jennifer Witz.
