Born Again’ has been renewed for season three

Daredevil: Born Again has been renewed for a third season on Disney+, with filming with lead actors Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio expected to begin in early 2026.

The show, which follows blind lawyer Matt Murdock (played by Coz) who uses his heightened senses to fight crime as the vigilante Daredevil in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen, will get a third season, Marvel’s Head of TV, Streaming & Animation Brad Winderbaum revealed to IGN in an interview.

Season one of the show came out in the spring of this year. Season two is expected to come in 2026.

“In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum said. In the meantime, details for season two of the TV show, which is a revival of the original Daredevil, remain under wraps.

In the first season of the Disney+ show, Murdock has set aside his vigilante persona to focus on rebuilding his life as a lawyer, only to be pulled back into conflict as old characters resurface. He must confront his past and embrace his role as Daredevil again to protect the city.

In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, the cast includes Margarita Levieva, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer.

The show was given five stars in a review by NME. It concluded: “Daredevil: Born Again does a brilliant job of embedding itself into that shared universe. Events from across the MCU are naturally referenced and there are also a few tantalising teases about what comes next.

“Thankfully, a second season is already in the works. None of that distracts from a tightly wound plot that makes space for emotional growth and more than a few big swings. Nostalgia be damned.”

Phish Concert Stabbing: One Dead, Two Injured

One person was killed and two more were injured in a stabbing that took place outside of Phish‘s show at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, on Friday night.

Police responded to a violent altercation just after 9:30 p.m. ET, according to a police report from the Hampton Police Division. According to the report published Saturday, the suspect fled the scene on foot, but detectives managed to identify “all parties involved,” adding it appeared “to be an isolated incident.”

“The first victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries,” Cpl. Shaun Stalnaker wrote. “The second victim was also transported and is currently receiving medical treatment. A third adult male victim later arrived at a local hospital as a walk-in, also suffering from a laceration determined to be non-life-threatening.” As of Saturday, a suspect had not yet been identified.

“The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in connection with a stabbing that occurred on September 19, 2025.”

Phish addressed the incident in a statement on Instagram Saturday, saying that while they “don’t have more information than what has been reported by the police,” the band was “deeply saddened” by the tragedy.

“During last night’s show, a tragic incident took place in the parking lot outside Hampton Coliseum. There was an altercation behind one of the tents in the unofficial vending area in which someone lost their life and two other people were injured,” the band said. “We don’t have more information than what has been reported by the police, who called it an isolated incident, but what we do know is upsetting enough. We are deeply saddened by this and our hearts go out to all of those affected.”

Phish was performing at the Hampton Coliseum as part of their summer tour. The band’s Saturday and Sunday night concerts in Hampton, their final nights on tour, were set to go on as planned.

Taylor Swift Talks ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Vinyl & CD Packaging, Art

Seated in front of a backdrop reminiscent of a floral watercolor painting — perhaps a reference to artist John Everett Millais’ Hamlet-inspired work “Ophelia,” which fans theorize influenced “The Fate of Ophelia” singer’s pose on her new album cover — Taylor Swift talks about the visual art of upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl in a promo clip released by her Taylor Nation team on Saturday (Sept. 20).

“The photo shoot that we did with Mert and Marcus [Mert Alaş and Marcus Piggott] was so extraordinary and I was so happy with it that I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world, this album era, as possible,” Swift says in the brief video. “And so I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have.”

As Swift explains in the clip: “The CDs all have photo cards in them. The vinyls, they each have a poem inside of them, a unique poem. They’ve got more images than we ever planned to put in there.”

The Life of a Showgirl has so far been made available for pre-order in its standard format on CD and vinyl, and in various special editions — with different covers and extras, like the aforementioned photo cards — in limited (now sold-out) quantities on Swift’s official webstore. Target also released an exclusive edition CD pre-order.

Swift adds of the album art, “We chose this really high-gloss finish which I’ve never done before, and I think it looks so cool. We wanted this album to feel really luxurious and kind of as a nod to the luxury that a showgirl puts on when she’s on stage. Meanwhile, in the quick-change room she’s like [out of breath, breathing heavily] … Maybe that’s just me, I don’t know.”

“It’s all just something I’m really proud of,” says Swift, who on Friday announced her new project is also headed to select movie theaters with The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, a premiere experience that will debut her music video for album opener “The Fate of Ophelia,” behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot, lyric videos and personal reflections on the collection’s 12 tracks. “It took a lot of time to put together, a lot of concentration, a lot of organization, but hopefully it pays off. I hope the fans are happy.”

Also on the Showgirl promotional calendar: an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, set for broadcast on the BBC on her 12th studio album’s release date, Oct. 3.

Cardi B And Kehlani Channel TLC’s “Creep” In New Music Video “Safe”

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Cardi B and Kehlani have brought their collab “Safe” to life, turning the standout track from Cardi’s sophomore album Am I The Drama? into a cinematic moment. In the music video, the “Up” rapper and “Folded” songstress tap into their inner TLC, recreating the iconic “Creep” scene with silky matching pajamas and a playful dance routine.

The clip opens with Cardi and Kehlani moving in sync as she delivers the hook: “I don’t need a rich ni**a, just somebody that can make me feel, safe/ I dealt with a couple ni**as, but nobody ever made me feel, safe like you/ ’Cause when I’m with you, I just know I’m fine/ You take all the pressure off my mind (all the time)” — with Kehlani echoing “safe” in the background.

As the storyline unfolds, Cardi takes on the role of a pregnant girlfriend to her on-screen partner. Their romance quickly turns dark after a heated argument between the two sends roses crashing to the floor and Williams storming out the door. Moments later, tragedy strikes when a gangster shows up at Cardi’s door and fatally shoots her.

Williams’ character returns home only to be distraught by the bloody aftermath. Watch below.

“Safe” featuring Kehlani hails from Am I The Drama? which dropped today (Sept. 19). Standing at 23 tracks, the project features a star-studded lineup including everyone from Lizzo to R&B/Pop icon Janet Jackson.

The LP has standouts like “Dead” and “Shower Tears,” both featuring Summer Walker, the aformentioned “Safe” with Kehlani, “Better Than You” with Cash Cobain, and “Nice Guy” with Tyla. In addition to “Safe,” the collaborative track “Principal” with Janet Jackson is another crowd favorite especially for the simple fact that Cardi was able to secure the “Pleasure Principle” icon, herself.

AITD also has cuts like the circulating songs, “Bodega Baddie” and “Imaginary Playerz,” as well as interesting titles like “Man of Your Word,” which could be an ode to her divorce with Offset, and the return of “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

To further push the album, Cardi B announced her first-ever headlining Little Miss Drama Tour kicking off post-pregnancy in February and running through April 2026. She will be hitting the major cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, and others.

Cardi hopped on X to remind her fans that she’s locked in, although expecting baby No. 4. “Album drops Friday! Thank you everybody for the love and support…by the time tour comes I’ll be doing splits, somersaults backflips and handstands,” she wrote. “I want this really bad and I’m on a very strict plan.. trust me I’m determined to give my fans the best album AND tour experience!!”

“I owe this to myself, and I owe this to my past. They’ve been waiting for such a long time. I know we don’t live for the fans, but I owe this to y’all,” she added.

The Jim Carroll Band: Catholic Boy Album Review

The Jim Carroll Band: Catholic Boy Album Review

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Clear-eyed for the first time in a decade, he fell in love and got married. His new wife, a law school student at Stanford, took him to New Wave shows in San Francisco, and divine inspiration struck again.

“People had encouraged me to do rock ‘n’ roll for a long time,” he said upon the release of Catholic Boy in 1981, a vast understatement. New York City seemed insistent that Jim Carroll have a career in music, even if he was not. He “had never listened to much rock after the Velvet Underground split,” he said in an NME article from the time, but he was impelled into collaboration by pals like Patti Smith and Blue Öyster Cult’s Allan Lanier. Lanier needed lyrics. Smith convinced him to open for her with her backing band, even though he missed a show after a drug bust landed him in jail overnight. When she worked at Scribner’s books on 5th Avenue, she saved him from an overdose, walking him around until he came to.

Compared to the readings he’d done all over the city, performing onstage felt vital and raw, a way to connect with people outside the incestuous, erudite New York poets’ circle. “I didn’t like the negativity of punk,” he said, “but at least I saw how I could get past my technical limitations, because you didn’t have to sing well. And after publishing poems all those years and having a very esoteric audience, the prospect of this other audience seemed nice.”

It was in Bolinas, on the beach with the dogs, that he’d become the frontman of his own band. There, he met some members of a local group called Amsterdam, and convinced them to soundtrack one of his readings. Soon after, the new Jim Carroll Band were polishing material at Bay Area clubs until they finally won over the scene’s youths. This was by design: “I wanted kids to like it,” Carroll said, “kids into heavy rock and hot guitars.” Doors opened quickly for Carroll, as they tended to do. On a trip to New York in 1979, he inked a deal with famed music mogul Earl McGrath at a party.

If Catholic Boy is for the kids, it’s a specific subset of them: precocious, kinetic, and traumatized. The breakneck pace of punk rock is perfect for outrunning what haunts you. A louche hybrid of New York Dolls-style glam rock and ’80s gloss, the album is an emblem of the national transition from downtown punk squats to cocaine penthouses and Reagonomics. It’s a bridge between the Ramones and the Cars, a yarn that ties together two decades and two cities.

John Cleese and Piers Morgan clash over Jimmy Kimmel cancellation: “You flaming old hypocrite”

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

John Cleese and Piers Morgan have clashed on social media over the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the late night talk show had been pulled from the ABC Network, which is owned by Disney, over Kimmel’s comments following the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Right-wing activist Kirk was shot in the neck and killed at Utah Valley University campus on September 10, and, following the incident, Kimmel said that all signs pointed to Kirk’s shooter being a Trump supporter.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterise this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said in his Monday night monologue.

The subsequent fallout saw the show taken off-air indefinitely, a move that sparked a strong response from either side of the political spectrum.

Jimmy Kimmel lied about Charlie Kirk’s assassin being MAGA, this caused understandable outrage all over America, prompted TV station owners to say they wouldn’t air him, and he’s now been suspended by his employers. Why is he being heralded as some kind of free speech martyr?

— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 18, 2025

Morgan reacted to the news by posting on X on Tuesday (September 16): “Jimmy Kimmel lied about Charlie Kirk’s assassin being MAGA, this caused understandable outrage all over America, prompted TV station owners to say they wouldn’t air him, and he’s now been suspended by his employers. Why is he being heralded as some kind of free speech martyr?”

US politician Joe Walsh replied to the post, arguing that Morgan had “missed the point”, prompting Monty Python and Fawlty Towers legend Cleese to write: “This from Piers Morgan. Who has made a fortune working for Rupert Murdoch.”

This from Piers Morgan. who has made a fortune working for Rupert Murdoch https://t.co/TNd4geJkDm

— John Cleese (@JohnCleese) September 18, 2025

Morgan responded to Cleese by posting: “You took Rupert’s money too, you flaming old hypocrite. I’m just proud of it.”

You took Rupert’s money too, you flaming old hypocrite.
I’m just proud of it. https://t.co/2XiuqpE3mY

— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 18, 2025

Hostilities continued on Wednesday, with Cleese writing: “I see Piers Morgan says he’s proud to have worked with Rupert Murdoch, the man who had done more to contaminate Britain’s journalism than anyone else. Tells us all we need to know about Piers, whose only talent is associating himself with people much better known than himself.”

Morgan replied with three laughing emojis, writing: “a) Rupert’s much nicer than you.. even your fellow Pythons loathe you. b) I’m way more famous than you, which is why I have nearly twice as many followers.”

— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 20, 2025

It is now believed that Kimmel’s business and legal representatives are in discussions with Disney and ABC executives in the hope of reaching a compromise that would allow for the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

While the move to cancel the show has been celebrated by President Trump, with whom the host has had a long-running feud, many in the entertainment industry have spoken out against the suspension. Almost all of Hollywood’s prominent creative guilds have condemned the decision, while fellow late-night legends Stephen Colbert and David Letterman have also spoken out, voicing concerns over free speech.

Comedian and podcaster Marc Maron also criticised the suspension, saying on Instagram: “This is government censorship. This is the Trump administration coming after people who speak out against him.”

Bad Bunny Closes Puerto Rico Residency With Guests: See Who

by jummy84 September 21, 2025

Bad Bunny said goodbye to the No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency at El Choli with a bang. On Saturday night, for his “Una Más” show, which was livestreamed by Amazon Music, the Puerto Rican icon brought out a slew of guests, including salsa legend Marc Anthony, RaiNao, Dei V, Ñengo Flow, Arcángel, De La Ghetto, and Jowell & Randy.

Bad Bunny had Chuwi join him for their collab “Welita,” which they’ve performed each night of the residency. Then, one of the first surprises of the evening came when Puerto Rican rising star RaiNao dropped by for “Perfumito Nuevo;” newcomer Dei V also made it out to help with his verse on “Veldá.” When it was time to perform massive perreo hits like “Safaera,” Benito brought out the reggaeton OGs: Genre veterans Ñengo Flow and Jowell & Randy hit the stage to sing the track, while Arcángel and De La Ghetto jumped in for a few old-school favorites.

Ñengo Flow turned his appearance into a poignant gesture by wearing a jersey with the number 4,645 on it, honoring the death toll from Hurricane Maria.

For the grand finale, Anthony sidled up next to Bad Bunny and showed off his power vocals for a heartfelt rendition of “Preciosa.” The song, originally written by composer Rafael Hernández Marín in 1937, is a love letter to Puerto Rico that ends with the line “Yo te quiero, Puerto Rico.” (“I love you, Puerto Rico.”) Though it’s been reinterpreted by many artists over the decades, Anthony’s rendition is among the best known — and he gave it his all while Bad Bunny belted the lyrics with him.

After Anthony’s appearance, Bad Bunny stayed onstage and closed out the show with the emotional “DtMF” and the swaggering “LA MuDANZA.” The latter song turned into an extended mix, where he used the opportunity to introduce the band and everyone who attended the performance.

Saturday night’s show was livestreamed globally on Amazon Music and the streaming service’s Twitch channel worldwide. The performance will also be available to replay for 24 hours after the initial live broadcast.

Editor’s picks

Along with livestreaming the show, Amazon and Bad Bunny’s Good Bunny Foundation reached a multi-year agreement to aid the island by investing in initiatives related to education, technology, food delivery, agriculture support, and economic development.

“Benito embodies the spirit of Puerto Rico, and together we’re creating a celebration that transforms his passion for the island into real impact for its people,” said Rocío Guerrero, an Amazon Music executive, in a press release. “By combining music, Amazon technologies, commerce, and community programs at scale, we’re engaging global audiences to this historic moment while strengthening Puerto Rican communities.”

Last Sunday, Bad Bunny hosted what many thought to be the final show of the residency. However, the following morning, Bad Bunny revealed he’d play one final show on Sept. 20.

“This has been an unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything,” Bad Bunny said at the Sept. 14 show, pausing to wipe away tears. “When I was little, I dreamed of doing this. I knew that anything I worked for with passion I could make happen, but all of this surpassed my own dreams. Thanks for so much love.”

Since kicking off his 11-week run of performances in mid-July, Bad Bunny has played every weekend, bringing out special guests during every show throughout the run, including María Zardoya of the Marías, Chencho Corleone, and many other celebrities from across fashion, movies, and sports.

After wrapping the residency, Bad Bunny will kick off his Debí Tirar Más Fotos tour on Nov. 21 in Santo Domingo before traveling across Latin America through late February.

A victim lost their life, and two others sustained injuries, in a stabbing that took place outside Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va., during Phish‘s performance at the venue Friday night (Sept. 19).

Officers responded to an altercation that had escalated into violence on Coliseum Drive just after 9:30 p.m. ET, according to a police report from the Hampton Police Division. The suspect fled, but detectives “identified all parties involved” and determined it “appears to be an isolated incident,” says the report published on Saturday.

“Members from the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and rendered medical assistance,” Cpl. Shaun Stalnaker writes. “The first victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The second victim was also transported and is currently receiving medical treatment. A third adult male victim later arrived at a local hospital as a walk-in, also suffering from a laceration determined to be non-life-threatening.”

Phish addressed the tragedy on Saturday in a statement the band posted on social media.

“During last night’s show, a tragic incident took place in the parking lot outside Hampton Coliseum. There was an altercation behind one of the tents in the unofficial vending area in which someone lost their life and two other people were injured. We don’t have more information than what has been reported by the police, who called it an isolated incident, but what we do know is upsetting enough. We are deeply saddened by this and our hearts go out to all of those affected,” the band said.

Phish’s Saturday and Sunday night concerts in Hampton, which wrap their summer tour, were set to go on as scheduled. Lead singer/guitarist Trey Anastasio’s solo band has gigs slated for this fall before Phish takes the stage together again for their traditional run of New Year’s Eve shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where they’ve booked a four-show series spanning the dates of Dec. 28-31.

The Hampton Police Division’s Major Crimes Unit can be contacted with additional information surrounding Friday night’s incident by phone (757–727–6111 or 1–888-LOCK-U-UP), or through anonymous tip via a secure form at P3Tips.com.

Steve Harvey Says He Quit Standup Because of Cancel Culture

Steve Harvey Says He Quit Standup Because of Cancel Culture

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

In a development that hopefully won’t be included in his forthcoming biopic, actor-comedian Steve Harvey has admitted that he retired from stand-up due to “cancel culture.” We sure it wasn’t all those flubs on stage, Mr. Harvey?

Harvey’s comments came during a recent episode of The Pivot Podcast (via Complex). He explained that he saw a significant shift in comedy coming down the cultural pipeline, and dropping stand-up was a necessary reaction to the forthcoming upheaval.

“You remember, I said change is inevitable. You got to react or participate,” Harvey said. “So my participation was to get away from it because the cancel culture started becoming everywhere. Comedy is too hard to do right now. And all you got to do is look now the way the cancel culture works.”

Harvey added that, despite the lucrative nature of his stand-up career, he ultimately chose to step away after more than 30 years on the road. “That’s why I left stand-up in 2012, 2015 — one of them,” he said. “I had so many shows and had built such a catalog of work that I was making money, but I had to let something go. If I toured on the weekends, I wouldn’t even have a family.”

Related Video

This isn’t the first time Harvey has rallied against cancel culture. During a 2022 panel appearance for the Television Critics Association, Harvey said that “no standup [comedian] alive that is sponsor-driven can say anything he wants to,” citing the likes of Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, and D.L. Hughley. At the time, Consequence pointed out that, despite significant backlash for transphobic remarks, the similarly seasoned Dave Chappelle still performed at Netflix’s L.A.-based comedy fest. But then poking holes in these kind of “arguments” isn’t really the point.

No, what Harvey and other denouncers “cancel culture” are really talking about is a kind of artistic/comedic stagnation. These comedians want to be allowed to say what they want and whenever they want, and to counter their claims is somehow an attack on them and free speech itself. Fortunately, not every comic agrees with Harvey and his ilk. In a 2021 appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast, Katt Williams said that “Cancellation doesn’t have its own culture,” and that a lot of this ongoing discourse is really about minority groups policing themselves/their culture. He added that it’s a comedian’s job to adapt to ever-shifting social norms, explaining, “Nobody likes the speed limit, but it’s necessary.” And, of course, Anthony Jeselnik has made regular rants against these “anti-accountability” comedians during his own sets.

Harvey’s latest comments came at a time when comedians are actually being cancelled due to the democracy-busting actions of President Donald Trump. In July, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert was axed due to “financial reasons”; though some critics believe the Trump Administration leveraged a Skydance-Paramount deal to silence the outspoken Colbert. Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was recently suspended (and potentially pulled from the air outright ) after his (mostly innocuous) comments surrounding the recent assassination of alt-right activist Charlie Kirk. And with Trump making thinly-veiled gestures toward the shows of both Jimmy Fallon and Seth Myers, it seems like comedians actually trying to do good work are facing unintended consequences. But I guess comedy’s truly dead if you can no longer make, like, the same dumb jokes about pick-up lines.

Check out Harvey’s Pivot appearance below. The cancel culture comments begin near the 37-minute mark.
