About Her Past Dating Life Before Marriage – Hollywood Life

In 2023, Selena Gomez was vocal about enjoying her single life, often poking fun at her relationship status on TikTok and even releasing her song “Single Soon.” At the time, she shut down speculation about her love life despite being briefly linked to Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers, insisting she was happily unattached.

Fast forward to today, and everything has changed. Selena is now married to record producer Benny Blanco, confirming their romance in late 2023 before tying the knot in 2025. The pair, who had known each other for years through music collaborations, turned their friendship into a love story that has captured fans’ hearts.

Throughout 2023, Selena Gomez, 31, has not shied away from sharing her single relationship status. However, the singer and actress recently confirmed that she and record producer Benny Blanco are dating.

While Selena’s relationship history includes high-profile romances with stars like Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and others, she’s now focused on her new chapter with Benny. Take a look back at her dating history and how she found lasting love.

Nick Jonas

Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas had a few cute dates in 2008 when they were Disney stars. (Mega)

Back when they were young Disney stars, Selena and Nick Jonas had a cute little romance that started in 2008 after he broke up with Miley Cyrus. Selena even played Nick’s love interest in the Jonas Brothers’ 2008 music video, “Burnin’ Up.” Sadly, the romance didn’t last very long. And in 2015, Selena remembered the innocent fling as “puppy love, you know, it was very sweet.”

Taylor Lautner

Another one of Selena’s earliest studs was none other than Twilight star Taylor Lautner! They met in 2009 while filming movies in Vancouver (Selena was shooting Ramona and Beezus and Taylor was shooting Twilight: New Moon).

“Kristen [Stewart] was staying in my hotel. [Taylor] would visit her, so we were constantly running into each other in the lobby—and we ended up meeting,” Selena explained in a 2009 interview with Seventeen. “We would go out to lunch and dinner, but I knew he had paparazzi following him and I had paparazzi following me. So we literally just wanted to hang out, go bowling and stuff, and it went a little too far, I think. People were getting a little crazy about us.” However, Selena confirmed she was single by the time of her Seventeen interview. Her best friend, Taylor Swift, went on to date Taylor for several months later that year.

Zedd

The “Naturally” songstress also had a brief fling with internationally known DJ Zedd, whom she dated at the beginning of 2015 after meeting at a recording studio. The two worked together on the song  “I Want You To Know,” which was released in Feb. 2015. Ahead of the song’s release, they teased the collaboration with flirty social media posts.

“He’s this cute little German, and he’s got really beautiful eyes and he’s very sweet and funny,” Selena gushed at the time. She also called Zedd “talented” in an interview. By April, the two had called it quits, but remained on good terms. “I adore [him] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice,” Selena admitted in July 2015.

Selena also sparked romance speculation with One Direction singer Niall Horan in 2015 (and then again in 2019), and with Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom in 2014 and 2016! However, Selena denied the romance speculation for the last two (Niall also denied the years-long rumors in 2020).

Charlie Puth

The jury is still out on Selena and Charlie Puth. (AP)

Selena and Charlie Puth collaborated on the track “We Don’t Talk Anymore” in 2016, but there was some talking between the two going on behind the scenes. “I don’t kiss and tell, but the only way a song like [‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’] can come across as real is if there’s something else going on behind the scenes,” Charlie said in an interview with Billboard. “And that’s what was happening [with Gomez]. Very short-lived, very small, but very impactful. And it really messed me up. I’m trying to put this the best way possible: It wasn’t like I was the only person on her mind. And I think I knew that going in — what I was getting myself into.”

Later on, however, a source close to Selena shared with PEOPLE that the two “never dated.”

Justin Bieber

One of Selena’s most memorable relationships was with Justin Bieber. (AP)

Selena’s two most famous relationships were with Justin Bieber and The Weeknd. If there is one celebrity couple that defines what on-again, off-again means it is Selena and Justin. They sparked dating rumors in 2010 after hanging out at IHOP together, and the relationship became official in 2011 with a red carpet appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party (followed by many more dates at high-profile events).

The two were on and off until 2018. In between their “on” moments, they both dated other people. Of course, for Justin, one of those women was Hailey Bieber, who he eventually married. Justin and Selena were linked in the fall of 2017 and beginning of 2018, but split for good that March. CLICK HERE for a full timeline of their love.

The Weeknd

Selena and The Weeknd dated for 10 months in 2017. The two first met at the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show when they both performed on the catwalk. It wasn’t until Jan. 2017, though, that they were first linked romantically after being spotted on a dinner date in L.A. The outing was followed by more sightings, as well as a trip to Italy later that month, where they went Instagram official.

The exes made their relationship very public by attending the Met Gala together in May 2017. They also went to Coachella together that spring. “It’s really hard when I would want to spend so much time hiding things,” Selena admitted during an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest in July 2017. “It’s too much pressure, and I think everyone gets over everything eventually … I just want to be happy. If that’s me just being myself, then I don’t really care.”

The two eventually called it quits in October 2017, but Selena said that they ended on good terms. “Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between us]” she told Billboard in Nov. 2015. “I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me.”

In March 2018, The Weeknd released his My Dear Melancholy EP, and there seemed to be many references to Selena. On the track “Call Out My Name,” he even hinted that he offered to donate his kidney to her when she needed a transplant the previous summer. “I almost cut a piece of myself for your life,” he sings in the song.

In August 2023, Selena denied that her new song “Single Soon” was about The Weeknd. “Couldn’t be more false,” she said directly to Hollywood Life on Instagram.

Drew Taggart

In Jan. 2023, it was reported that Selena and The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart have been “casually” dating. “They aren’t trying to hide their romance by sneaking around at members only clubs,” an insider told Us Weekly, adding that their new romance is “very casual and low-key.” They “go bowling and to the movies” when they spend time together, the source added.

Selena is very “affectionate” with the rocker, the insider noted, and she “can hardly keep her hands off him”. Overall, they’re “having a lot of fun together”, the insider said at the time. While they were photographed in public together a handful of times, though, the romance quickly fizzled out, with Selena insisting that she was “single” by the end of the month.

In December 2023, Selena confirmed she was dating record producer Benny after months of speculation. When PopFactions shared a post captioned, “Selena Gomez seemingly confirms she’s in a relationship,” the Disney Channel alum responded with a simple, “Facts.” Around the same time, she also “liked” several posts about the couple on Instagram, further fueling excitement about their budding romance.

The pair already had a history of working together, having collaborated on Selena’s 2019 track “I Can’t Get Enough.” In response to online chatter about her love life, Selena revealed that she and Benny had actually been dating for about six months by then, putting the start of their romance around June 2023. Benny even jumped into the comments of one of Selena’s Instagram posts at the time, leaving a flirty heart-eyes emoji.

As their relationship deepened, Selena spoke more openly about him in interviews, calling Benny “the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and praising his ability to make her feel secure and loved outside of the spotlight. The couple made red-carpet appearances together, and their chemistry quickly won over fans who celebrated seeing Selena happy in a stable, grounded relationship.

By September 2025, Selena and Benny had tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, surrounded by close friends and family.

Alexandra Grant’s love story with Keanu Reeves goes back about 15 years. The artist’s fateful meeting with the John Wick star at a dinner party in 2009 led to nearly a decade of work collaborations, a love for art and books, and a friendship that all culminated into their red carpet debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on November 2, 2019. Keanu’s decision to bring a plus-one  — that wasn’t a relative or friend — was a big one. The actor (publicly) remained a bachelor for a long time after the tragic delivery of his stillborn daughter Ava Archer Syme-Reeves in 1999, which was shortly followed by a car accident that cost the life of the child’s mother and Keanu’s former girlfriend, actress Jennifer Syme, in 2001.

Two decades later, Keanu has found happiness. However, the blossoming romance between Alexandra and Keanu was already apparent after they were seen holding hands at the Saint Laurent Mens Spring Summer 20 Show in Malibu on June 6, 2019. The couple have also become the subject of marriage rumors since they’ve been together for years, but Alexandra was able to squash that speculation in 2025.

Here’s what you should know about Alexandra, the woman who has captured The Internet Boyfriend’s heart after all this time.

Text & Language Inspires Alexandra’s Art

Alexandra is described as “a text-based artist who uses language and networks of words as the basis for her work in painting, drawing and sculpture,” according to the Ochi Gallery’s introduction for Alexandra. The talented artist fostered her love for the spoken word as a child, since she grew up in a variety of countries: Mexico, Spain and France.

Alexandra’s Work Has Been Showcased In Prestigious Museums

Alexandra’s art has been put on display in the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Galerie Gradiva in Paris, the The Broad Museum at Michigan State University, and the Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York City, just to name a few!

Keanu Is One Of Alexandra’s Longtime Collaborators

Their relationship, professional at first, began with books! Alexandra contributed the illustrations for Keanu’s first book, a grown-up picture book called Ode To Happiness, that was published in 2011. She also lent a hand to illustrate Keanu’s poetry book, Shadows, released in 2015.

Alexandra & Keanu Run A Publishing Company Together

The publishing company, called X Artists’ Books, launched in the summer of 2017. Deviating from mainstream imprints, the company focuses on “unusual collaborations” and books that “don’t really have a place because they’re between genres,” which the business partners explained in an interview with Los Angeles Magazine in Feb. 2018. The interviewer noted that they shared an “easy rapport” and spoke “in a comfortable shorthand fueled by inside jokes and knowing smiles” — foreshadowing, is it not?

Alexandra Is Active In Philanthropy

She founded the grantLOVE project in 2008, which sells a variety of products from hoodies, screen prints to neon signs to raise funds for other artists’ projects and non-profits!

Everything came naturally for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco‘s wedding. The newlyweds tied the knot nine months after getting engaged and shared bits and pieces from their special day with fans, including Selena’s stunning wedding dress!

Without further ado, keep reading to rehash Selena and Benny’s wedding and see pictures of her gown.

When Did Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Get Married?

Selena and Benny tied the knot on September 27, 2025, as the bride noted in her Instagram carousel caption that day. The couple kept their wedding plans under wraps, but multiple outlets reported they invited guests to stay at the El Canto resort in Santa Barbara, California.

Guests included Selena’s long-time bestie Taylor Swift and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin. Paris Hilton was also in attendance.

While the newlyweds kept most details of their nuptials private, they did share a few insights from their engagement. After Benny proposed in December 2024, he and the Hulu actress reflected on the moment the following year.

“It was the sickest surprise that she had no idea about, and it couldn’t have come at a better time because I was starting to f*** up,” Benny said during his and Selena’s joint Interview Magazine conversation. “The thing that makes me so crazy is, you’re getting engaged, and right before, they’re like, ‘Show me how good of a liar you are. Sneak around and try to do this perfect thing without me knowing.’”

Selena Gomez’s Wedding Dress Pictures

Selena and Benny later shared photos with fans shortly after exchanging vows. Selena wore an ivory Ralph Lauren gown with a lace neckline, fitted bodice and flowing ballgown skirt. Her veil was a long, matching headpiece.

As for her hairdo, the bride opted for a ’50s voluminous Hollywood style with short bouncy curls.

While Selena gave fans a glimpse at pieces of her gown, Benny showed off the full ensemble in his own Instagram carousel post. And the groom chose quite the caption: “I married a real life Disney princess,” referring to Selena’s Disney Channel days.

What Is Benny Blanco’s Real Name?

Benny’s real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin. Selena teased that she’d change her last name to Levin during her bachelorette party. In one snapshot from the fiesta, Selena sat in front of an array of balloons that spelled out, “Mrs. Levin.”

Aaron Rodgers has always lived his life in the limelight — not only for his MVP-level play but also his high-profile relationships. From his iconic run with the Green Bay Packers to his brief stint in New York and now in Pittsburgh, fans have long been fascinated by both his on-field heroics and off-field life.

In June 2025, Rodgers publicly confirmed he had married Brittani, revealing the wedding took place “a couple months” earlier. He’s called her “incredible” and alluded to their private life being a sanctuary from the public eye. Brittani is said to prefer keeping out of the spotlight, a stark contrast to Rodgers’ past high-profile romances — including Olivia Munn, Danica Patrick, and Shailene Woodley.

As he enters the next chapter with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers seems just as focused on building a stable personal life as he is on chasing another Super Bowl. Here’s a look back at his romantic history and what we know about his new marriage.

Destiny Newton

Aaron’s first big-time relationship as a famous athlete was with his childhood best friend-turned-lover, Destiny Newton. They began to date in 2011, after being “best friends for nine years” and meeting “at church camp,” Destiny’s mom told Radar Online nearly a decade ago. She added, “They’re very happy together, and our family loves him.” Their love story appeared to end in 2013 when reports of their breakup began surfacing.

While this relationship was never confirmed, Aaron was widely believed to have dated Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr. They were first rumored to be together in 2011, and then reportedly “got back together over the holidays” between Dec. 2013-Jan. 2014, Us Weekly reported.

Olivia Munn

One of Aaron’s most famous relationships was with The Predator star Olivia Munn. They dated for nearly three years, between 2014-2017, but not without some drama. Aaron’s dad, Ed Rodgers, revealed that his son had not spoken to their family since 2014 — the same year the NFL star began dating Olivia — saying that “fame can change things” in an interview with The New York Times published in Jan. 2017.

Olivia had been accused of being one of the reasons this estrangement happened. She finally shot down the rumors while appearing on Andy Cohen‘s SiriusXM radio show in May of 2018. “On my last day when I was filming The Newsroom, I spent the day in my trailer just encouraging [Aaron] to, like, have an honest conversation with your parents,” Olivia had recalled. She wanted a reunion to happen — which finally did take place on Aaron’s birthday in Dec. 2018.

After learning Aaron reunited with his parents, Olivia told TMZ Sports, “Oh my gosh, if that’s true, that’s amazing. It’s long overdue.”

Danica Patrick

Following his romance with Olivia, Aaron didn’t take long to enter another highly-publicized relationship. NASCAR race car driver Danica Patrick confirmed that she was dating Aaron in Jan. 2018 and made their public debut as a couple at the Daytona 500 the next month. They even attended the ESPYS together that year, where the athletes first met in 2012!

Aaron and Danica’s relationship appeared picture-perfect: they often shared happy couple’s photos and enjoyed romantic getaways together. One of Aaron’s most thoughtful gestures was surprising Danica with a trip to Paris for her 37th birthday in March of 2019 (as you can see above). By Nov. 2019, they had even purchased a $28 million Malibu mansion in cash, per Variety. However, their fairy-tale romance unexpectedly came to an end in July 2020, when Danica’s rep confirmed with HollywoodLife that they’re “no longer together.”

Shailene Woodley

Aaron went about his next romance very privately, it seems. Just days after the football star was reportedly in a “long-distance relationship” with Big Little Lies star Shailene Woodley he revealed he was “engaged!” While accepting his third MVP Award on the NFL Honors broadcast on Feb. 6, he reflected on the ups and downs of 2020, then saying, “I got engaged.” Toward the end of the speech, he said he wanted to “thank his fiancée” but didn’t name Shailene. Days later, People magazine confirmed that Shailene was the woman who Aaron had gotten engaged.

Leading up to the initial dating report, which was reported by E! News, Aaron had been staying in Wisconsin for the NFL season (it ended when his Packers team lost the NFC Championship Game at the end of Jan. 2021). Shailene, meanwhile, wasn’t even in the country; she had been filming her new movie Misanthrope in Montreal, Canada. Despite the distance, Aaron and Shailene “have seen each other and been in touch,” the report added. “They continue to talk and see each other when they can. They are both focused on their careers, but they also make time for each other.” Overall, though, the source said that this rumored couple “have kept things private and low key.”

After less than two years together, reports surfaced that the pair had called it a day in February 2022. After rumors that they’d broken up, it was reported that the two had ended things permanently, per TMZ. Despite the breakup, the pair apparently tried to work things out. Shailene was still Aaron’s date to a wedding he was officiating in March, and a source close to the NFL star told HollywoodLife exclusively that he was “working on reconciling” with his ex, but the relationship fizzled out once again.

The pair split up once more in April, and it seems like they’re done for good this time! A source told E! News at the time that they broke up because “everything was on his terms and nothing was going to change.”

Mallory Edens

In the first month of 2023, there were reports that Aaron had struck up a romance with Mallory Edens. Mallory (b. 1996) is the daughter of Wes Edens, an American billionaire businessman who is co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Premiere League team Aston Villa. Aaron celebrated his 39th birthday with Mallory courtside at a Bucks game, leading to some to speculate about a potential relationship. TMZ confirmed that the two were an item.

The couple has since split, though the exact timing remains unclear. Rodgers confirmed the breakup during a December 2024 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, where he referred to a new girlfriend, Brittani.

Brittani

During a December 2024 The Pat McAfee Show, Aaron briefly mentioned his girlfriend’s name, revealing that she “doesn’t have any social media” and that they enjoy watching the show together.

“We watch the show,” Aaron shared, before adding to Pat, “She’s a fan of you.”

“I’ll set it all straight,” Aaron said during the interview. “From the jump, I’m in a different phase of my life, I’m 41 years old [and] I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-field stuff going on that requires my attention.”

The following year, Aaron told a group of reporters that he was married! However, he did not divulge any details about whom his wife is nor how long they’ve apparently been married.

In July 2025, Aaron gushed to Sports Illustrated about his wife was “the right one.”

“And to have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the scenes, there’s no better feeling in the world, and I have the most incredible wife,” Aaron said, before adding, “I just really love her, and I’m so thankful to have her by my side at the end. When you have that stability and that rock behind you at the house, you feel like you can do anything.”

His Daughters Landry & Presley & Son Monte – Hollywood Life

Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin is one of college football‘s most recognized names. With dozens of wins under the Rebels’ belt, Kiffin solidified his name into sports history. But above all of that, he’s a dad to three children: daughters Landry and Presley and son Monte, whom he shares with ex-wife Layla Kiffin.

In September 2025, Lane made headlines when his daughter Landry started dating her rumored boyfriend, LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, and the Ole Miss coach seemingly took a swipe at him when his team beat the LSU Tigers.

“We believe in our players, we go for it on fourth down a lot, and glad to make plays,” Lane said in a post-game interview, before adding, “I’m looking for Whit right now to see if we covered the over.”

Below, learn all about Lane’s three kids and their family.

Landry Kiffin

Landry is Coach Kiffin’s eldest child. She was born in December 2004 and lived in Los Angeles when her dad was coaching at the University of Souther California. Landry is currently studying business administration at Ole Miss, per her LinkedIn.

Lane’s daughter appeared in the documentary E60: The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin, and Landry recalled moving to Ole Miss after her dad became a coach there.

“I hadn’t lived with him since before he went to [University of Alabama],” Landry said. “We definitely got a lot closer than we had ever been.”

When her dad considered taking a different coaching job, Landry found a way to convince Lane to stay with the Rebels.

“Me and my friends, we made this slideshow collage to a song we knew he would find sad and just really re-think his decision,” Landry explained in the doc. “We came into the office, and then, set it up on a movie projector screen, and we were like, ‘We have something to show you. Come in here.’ Then he sat down, and we played it, and he was crying. After that, he told us he was gonna stay, so it worked.”

Lane praised his daughter for her strong argument, noting, “Sometimes you need your kids to point things out to you, and just remind you of some things. That was very impactful. I’m not saying I was going [to leave] — I was deciding — but that made the decision for me.”

Presley Kiffin

Presley is Lane’s second child. Born in October 2006, she is attending the University of Southern California, where she also plays volleyball.

Monte Knox Kiffin

Monte, Lane’s youngest child, was born in January 2009. He’s followed in his dad’s footsteps by pursuing collegiate football, moving from L.A. to Mississippi to continue his goals. Monte has multiple offers to join several college teams, including Southern Methodist University, Sacramento State and Florida International University.

Podcasts are everywhere these days. They soundtrack commutes, workouts, and late-night scrolling. But every so often one stands out—not because it’s neatly packaged or algorithm-friendly, but because it feels alive. ALL THAT JAZZ, hosted by indie filmmaker Gregory Hatanaka, actress-director Nicole D’Angelo, cultural commentator Warren Hong, and cinephile guest host Jessica Brainard, is one of those rare shows.

It isn’t just about movies, though it dives into them with obsessive energy. It isn’t just about culture, though that’s always in play. And it isn’t just about comedy, though the laughs are constant. Instead, ALL THAT JAZZ thrives on intersections—the unpredictable moments where cult cinema, anthropology, politics, and absurd humor all crash into each other like a jam session gone gloriously off-script.

The Origin Story The seed of ALL THAT JAZZ was planted in off-the-record conversations. Gregory, Nicole, and Warren had spent years talking movies, distribution, and the culture that surrounds them. Jessica, a cinephile with a sharp cultural perspective, joined in naturally. Eventually, the idea hit: why not record it?

What makes the show different is its refusal to over-produce. Episodes unfold the way real conversations do—messy, funny, digressive, surprising. “We’re like one of those hidden mystery shops of wonders,” Gregory says. “You can discover things you never knew existed.”

That sense of stumbling onto something unexpected—like finding a forgotten record in the back of a dusty shop—is exactly what defines the show.

The Vibe Drop in on an episode and you never know where you’ll land. One moment the hosts are swapping stories about why Fast Times at Ridgemont High’s VHS release had the wrong soundtrack. The next, they’re debating the anthropology of endangered languages, unpacking Wade Davis’s TED talk, or explaining the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. Before you catch your breath, the conversation may have swerved into fragile states like Syria or Haiti, or back into the trenches of indie film contracts and production war stories.

The hosts keep the vibe electric. Gregory brings encyclopedic knowledge and war stories from the indie film frontlines. Nicole anchors the show with warmth, honesty, and philosophical reflections on art and life. Warren adds the sharp edges, mixing pop-culture humor with cultural critique. Jessica bridges cinema and culture, connecting forgotten movies to broader social and historical patterns.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=videoseries

Nicole sums it up best: “It means so much to have a place where we can tell the world about adventures—and even spiritual experiences—that shape the way we see life.”

Jessica adds: “I’ve always loved discovering new films and how they connect to the bigger picture of culture. On the podcast, I get to chase that curiosity every week.”

And Warren? He embraces the chaos. “The best part is the chaos—we don’t always know where we’re going, and that’s the thrill.”

The Unexpected The joy of ALL THAT JAZZ lies in its unpredictability. Listeners have tuned in to hear detailed breakdowns of why John Cassavetes’ A Woman Under the Influence plays differently across formats, only to find themselves swept into discussions of white-collar crime and the shocking statistics that show its cost in lives and dollars. What begins as a film conversation might twist into a sociology seminar, complete with reflections on deviance theories and corporate accountability.

And then, just as quickly, the conversation will shift gears again—into the spiritual, the personal, or the absurd. In one episode, the hosts bounced from discussing fragile states like Syria and Haiti to joking about food rituals. The phrase “fried chicken, yeah!” somehow became a mantra. It’s that unpredictability—never knowing if you’re about to learn something, laugh out loud, or both—that gives the show its charm.

Gregory thrives on that wide range. “To me, cinema has always been connected to everything else—politics, history, even spirituality. The podcast just makes those connections visible.”

Why the Range Matters The range of topics isn’t a gimmick; it reflects the way culture really works. Movies aren’t just entertainment—they’re tied to music rights, to the sociology of who gets represented, to the politics of which films get distributed. Anthropology doesn’t live in a classroom—it informs how we think about rituals in movies, why certain languages vanish, or how ancient civilizations like the Hittites understood the world. Even jokes, chants, or surreal tangents are part of culture.

In other words, ALL THAT JAZZ mirrors life: messy, interconnected, and unpredictable.

Meet the Hosts Gregory Hatanaka is best known as the filmmaker and distributor behind Cinema Epoch and Cineridge, labels that have brought everything from cult curiosities to ambitious indie projects to audiences worldwide. On the podcast, he draws on decades of experience in the trenches of indie cinema, mixing war stories with sharp insights.

Nicole D’Angelo has built her reputation as an actress, director, and writer who explores themes of intimacy and identity. On the show, she’s the grounding presence, often guiding the conversation into deeper waters about spirituality, memory, and personal journeys.

Warren Hong is the wildcard—funny, insightful, and unafraid to push the conversation into unexpected directions. His commentary ranges from sharp critiques of politics to surreal one-liners that leave the group in stitches.

Jessica Brainard brings her lifelong cinephilia to bear, connecting forgotten films to bigger cultural narratives. Whether she’s exploring why a VHS edit matters or tracing how a cult movie reflects generational shifts, she brings both passion and clarity.

The Bigger Picture So why does this podcast resonate? Part of it is the eclecticism. But more than that, it’s the sense of community the hosts create with listeners. By diving into subjects as varied as Dario Argento’s Tenebre, the anthropology of endangered languages, the rise and fall of ancient civilizations like the Hittites, or the controversies of corporate crime, ALL THAT JAZZ opens up cultural rabbit holes that most shows wouldn’t dare attempt.

It’s also a reminder that culture isn’t made of neat categories. A discussion of VHS soundtracks isn’t just nostalgia—it’s about economics, law, and how art circulates. A conversation about fragile states isn’t just political—it ties back to stories we tell in movies and the ways we understand identity. The absurdist riffs and surreal humor? That’s culture too, alive and evolving.

At its best, ALL THAT JAZZ feels like a cultural conversation that refuses to stay still. It’s a film school, a comedy club, and a philosophy seminar rolled into one—and then something stranger and funnier still. In an age where most podcasts chase niches, ALL THAT JAZZ dares to be messy, eclectic, and alive. That’s exactly why it works.

“If we get this wrong… none of us are going to be alive tomorrow.” What would YOU do if this actually happened? Netflix has revealed the intense full trailer for the movie A House of Dynamite, the riveting new Kathryn Bigelow-directed thriller following her military hits The Hurt Locker & Zero Dark Thirty. It already premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival and earned rave reviews (mine is here) and will play at the New York Film Festival next this weekend. A House of Dynamite is a modern day nuclear fears thriller. The triptych film is about various White House staffers grappling with an impending nuclear missile strike on America. This gripping drama unfolds in real-time as tensions escalate – they have 20 minutes to decide to try and stop it, what to do, and how to respond. Do they fire back? And if so – at who? The ensemble cast includes Idris Elba as the US President, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Jonah Hauer-King, Moses Ingram, Jared Harris, with Greta Lee and Jason Clarke. This is a properly thrilling trailer that captures the extreme anxiety & stress of being in this situation. It’s a must watch film that everyone needs to see and discuss more after. One of the best suspense thrillers of the year.

Selena Gomez opened up like never before in her Apple TV+ documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me. The doc explores the last several years of the pop stars’ life, including her struggles with her health, both mental and physical, but alongside that, Selena discusses her parents in the documentary. Her mother, Mandy Teefey, and her father, Ricardo Joel Gomez, were teenagers when Selena was born, and they split up a few years later. They both remarried, and Selena has two half-sisters and one stepbrother.

Selena’s parents have witnessed their daughter’s career surge from a child actress to a Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated super star. Keep reading below to find out more about Selena’s mother and father, as well as her stepdad, Brian Teeefey, and her stepmom, Sara Gomez.

Selena Gomez’s Dad

Ricardo Joel Gomez, also known as Rick Gomez, was born in Mexico and met Selena’s mom (then Amanda “Mandy” Corbett) in high school in Texas. They were teenagers when Mandy got pregnant and gave birth to Selena on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Rick and Mandy got married after Selena was born, but the relationship wasn’t meant to be, and they divorced when Selena was 5 years old.

Rick was relatively absent from Selena’s life growing up and Mandy raised their daughter on her own. She told Harper’s Bazaar in 2013, “When I was seven, my dad would go to Hooters to watch [San Antonio] Spurs games, but he started noticing that when I would come, with my little pigtails, all the waitresses would be like, ‘Hey!’ So he ended up half spending time with me but with all those cute girls coming over. And that became our thing.”

Rick wasn’t involved in Selena’s childhood singing and acting endeavors. “He didn’t want to be a part of this industry life, so it was really me and my mom, our journey,” the Only Murders in the Building star told Rolling Stone.

In 2012, Rick got married to Sara Gomez, and two years later they welcomed their daughter Tori Gomez. Sara also has a son named Marcus Gomez from a previous relationship. It appears that Rick has gotten closer with Selena since starting his own family as he regularly posts photos on Instagram with the “Same Old Love” singer. It’s worth noting that Selena doesn’t follow her father on Instagram. She does follow her mom on Instagram.

Selena Gomez’s Mom

Mandy Teefey has been way more involved in Selena’s career than Rick has. Mandy wanted to be an actress when Selena was young, so she took her daughter to community-theater productions while working two jobs. “She was so cool,” Selena told Rolling Stone. “She was like Drew Barrymore in the Nineties, with her short hair and butterfly clips. She would make her own clothes. I was like, ‘Mom, I want to do what you want to do.’ And she’s like, ‘OK, well, maybe we can put you in theater classes.’ And I was like, ‘Nope. I want to be on TV.’ ”

Selena has openly admitted that she blamed her mother for her parent’s divorce. “I blamed my mom a lot [for the divorce] because I wanted a family so bad,” the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said in a 2011 E! Entertainment special. “I wanted to have my mom and dad together. I remember just being angry with my mom. I still feel really bad about that,” she added.

In 2006, Mandy got married to talent manager Brian Teefey. They welcomed daughter Gracie Teefey in 2013. “She’s adorable,” Selena told E! News after Gracie’s birth. “I’m obsessed with her and becoming a big sister. I know I’ve had the responsibility to be a role model for girls but when you have a little sister of your own, you kinda think, ‘Okay, this is legit.’ ”

Selena has had an up-and-down relationship with her mother over the years. It was reported in 2014 that Selena fired Mandy and Brian from her management team, which Mandy addressed four years later. “We never expected to manage [Selena] her whole life,” Mandy told Suggest in 2018. “We lost family time because the only time we saw her, we talked business. It was no longer fun for any of us, like it was when she was younger and we had to be with her because she was a minor.” Mandy also addressed Selena’s relationship with Justin Bieber which she allegedly wasn’t supportive of. “Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe, and healthy,” Mandy said.

The mother-daughter duo created their own production company, July Moon Productions, which produced the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Selena and Mandy are also the founders of Wondermind, a mental health multimedia company that launched in 2022. Selena told Rolling Stone that Mandy has been “very open about having struggles with her own mental health.”

In May 2025, reports emerged that Mandy had no money to pay her employees and used a loan to cover payroll at her company, Wondermind, leaving some waiting for the second of two payments and others still unpaid.

That summer, reports surfaced about Selena Gomez’s wedding to husband Benny Blanco, and that she didn’t ask her mother to walk her down the aisle.

Selena Gomez’s Stepdad

Brian Teefey became Selena’s stepdad when he married Mandy in 2006. Brian and Mandy run LH7 Management where they rep several artists. One of his clients was The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie who died in 2016. He used to manage Selena.

Brian has a close relationship with Selena and he even spoke about her kidney transplant back in 2017 in an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife. Brian praised Selena’s BFF Francia Raisa who graciously donated one of her kidneys to Selena. He told us he was stunned and touched by “Francia’s ultimate sacrifice for a friend,” adding, “I am not only Francia’s manager but also Selena’s father so the magnitude of what Francia has done for our family cannot be put into words.”
