“Only until you don’t need me anymore…” Briarcliff Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for a film titled The Thing With Feathers, a grief drama starring Benedict Cumberbatch as a widow dad. This premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to mostly mixed to negative reviews, and will next play at London & Sitges before opening in theaters in November. “An emotional gut punch wrapped in a dark, fantastical nightmare” – The Thing With Feathers is adapted from the bestselling book written by Max Porter. Left to raise two young sons after the unexpected death of his wife, Dad’s life begins to unravel. Grief is messy and chaotic enough as it is, but when it takes the form of an unhinged and unwanted house guest taunting him from the shadows, things start to spiral out of control… It’s a powerful story about a grieving father struggling to raise his young sons who is helped by an imaginative creature called Crow. The practical crow creature is designed by Conor O’Sullivan – but they don’t show him in full in this trailer. The cast also includes Vinette Robinson, David Thewlis, & Eric Lampaert as Crow. I saw this at Sundance and I’m not a big fan… This trailer is even better than the film, putting it all together in a 2 minute package.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Dylan Southern’s film The Thing With Feathers, from YouTube:

Amanda Knox was thrust into the public eye after her wrongful conviction in the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. At 20 years old, Knox was imprisoned after Italian law enforcement accused her and Knox’s boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, of the murder. They were subjected to hostile media coverage shortly thereafter. Since their 2015 acquittal, Knox has shared her full story with the public.

Amid the promotion of Hulu’s 2025 series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, Knox discussed her decision to work alongside Monica Lewinsky in developing the miniseries.

“[Monica] had a lot of advice about reclaiming your voice and your narrative,” Knox told The Hollywood Reporter in a joint August 2025 interview with Lewinsky. “That ended up being a turning point for me,” she added.

As for the “hardest thing” about executive producing the show, Knox said it was “conveying what it feels like to be behind a closed door at the mercy of authority figures.” She added, “There’s resistance to acknowledging the depth of that trauma. The dynamics aren’t as clear cut as we see on TV shows, this cartoonish interaction. It’s way more complicated and nuanced.”

Below, learn what Knox is doing now and more about her case that gripped the entire world in the early 2000s.

What Was Amanda Knox Accused of?

Knox was accused of murdering Kercher when they were roommates in Perugia, Italy. Knox was convicted in December 2009 of faking a break-in to their apartment, defamation, sexual violence and murder, and she was sentenced to 26 years behind bars; Sollecito was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Italian prosecutors accused Knox of slitting Kercher’s throat while Sollecito and a man named Rudy Guede participated.

In 2011, Knox and Sollecito were found not guilty of Kercher’s murder after DNA evidence was revisited. During their ultimate appeal, Knox and Sollecito were formally acquitted by an Italian court in 2015.

How Long Was Amanda Knox in Prison?

Knox was in prison for four years after being wrongfully convicted of Kercher’s murder.

Where Is Amanda Knox Now? Post-Prison Life

Upon returning home from Italy, Knox graduated from the University of Washington and became a journalist and author. She published her first book, Waiting to Be Heard: A Memoir, in 2013 and later started a podcast titled “The Truth About True Crime.”

In 2016, Knox participated in Netflix’s documentary, titled Amanda Knox. Three years later, the activist returned to Italy to serve as the keynote speaker at a criminal justice conference by the Italy Innocence Project.

Months before Hulu’s 2025 miniseries The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox was announced, Knox released her second memoir, Free.

Where Is Raffaele Sollecito Now?

Sollecito works as a computer engineer, according to The Independent. In 2022, he and Knox reunited in Italy to catch up as friends.

Amanda Knox’s Current Net Worth

Amanda has a net worth of $500,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Is Amanda Knox Married? Meet Her Husband

Amanda married her husband, Christopher Gerald Robinson, in a secret 2018 ceremony. Two years later, they held a formal wedding in 2020.

Amanda and Christopher met in 2011 after she returned to the U.S. Like her, Christopher is an author from Seattle, and he’s connected to the Robinson Newspapers. The couple got engaged in 2019 and have expanded their family over the years.

Does Amanda Knox Have Children?

Did the Federal Government Shut Down in 2025? Updates & What’s Closed – Hollywood Life

Congress hit another funding stalemate in 2025 after Senate proposals to keep the government open collapsed earlier this week. As a result, the U.S. federal government officially shut down at 12:01 a.m. ET on October 1, marking roughly the 21st federal funding lapse in modern U.S. history. From delayed paychecks to shuttered agencies and strained public programs, the fallout is expected to ripple nationwide.

Past shutdowns have forced agencies to furlough workers, delay services, and scramble to prioritize only mission-critical functions. Now, with spending legislation again stalled, federal workers, public services, and national programs are all at risk — here’s what you need to know.

Why Did the Government Shutdown in 2025?

The federal shutdown began when Congress missed the October 1 funding deadline after Senate efforts to pass a stopgap measure failed. A Republican-led resolution to extend funding until November 21 received 55 votes in the Senate, falling short of the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster, according to The Washington Post.

Democrats opposed that bill, demanding inclusion of health care subsidies and other priorities they considered essential. In response, the White House had warned of “irreversible cuts” and threatened workforce reductions if talks stalled further. With no agreement in place, federal operations lacking mandatory funding authority were forced into shutdown.

What Is a Government Shutdown?

A government shutdown occurs when Congress fails to pass the necessary funding legislation for the federal government’s operations, or when the President refuses to sign such legislation into law.

Here are some of the main reasons why it happens:

  • Budget Disputes: Shutdowns often occur when there is a disagreement between Congress members or between Congress and the President on specific spending priorities, such as defense, healthcare, social programs, or immigration policies.
  • Political Strategy: Sometimes, shutdowns are used as a political strategy or bargaining chip to push for or against certain legislative measures. One party may use the threat of a shutdown to gain leverage in budget negotiations.
  • Debt Ceiling Debates: Although the debt ceiling itself is separate from the budget process, debates over raising it have sometimes led to government shutdowns when an agreement could not be reached.

What Happens If the Government Shuts Down?

Most federal agencies must halt non-essential operations, close national parks, furlough employees, and suspend services until a new funding agreement is reached. Essential services—such as national security, law enforcement, and emergency medical care—continue to operate, but many government activities are paused.

During a furlough, hundreds of thousands of federal employees are placed on temporary leave without pay, while essential workers are required to work without pay until the shutdown is resolved.

A prolonged shutdown can also slow economic growth, impact the stock market, and create uncertainty in both domestic and international markets.

When Was the Last Government Shutdown?

Government shutdowns are not uncommon in U.S. history. Here’s a look at the most recent ones:

  • 2018-2019: The longest government shutdown in U.S. history lasted 35 days, from December 22, 2018, to January 25, 2019. This shutdown was primarily due to disagreements over funding for a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
  • 2018: Earlier in 2018, there was a brief shutdown from January 20 to January 22, mainly due to disagreements over immigration policy, including the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
  • 2013: Lasting 16 days from October 1 to October 17, this shutdown was caused by a standoff over the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and budgetary concerns.
  • 1995-1996: A significant shutdown lasted from December 16, 1995, to January 6, 1996, driven by disputes over Medicare, public health, and education funding.

New Teaser for Bi Gan’s ‘Resurrection’ – Set for Release in December

by Alex Billington

Janus Films has revealed the first look teaser for the film Resurrection, the latest mesmerizing creation from visionary Chinese filmmaker Bi Gan – best known for his other two films Kaili Blues and Long Day’s Journey into Night. This first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in May, and will next screen at the New York Film Festival before its release later this year. Janus has set the release date for December – playing in select art house theaters. Resurrection is an entrancing sci-fi cinema creation following Miss Shu in a future where most of humanity has lost the capacity to dream, who discovers that one inhuman creature is still able to experience them. She enters his dreams, using her ability to perceive illusions to determine the truth in its visions of Chinese history. The film is divided into six chapters, with each representing one of the five senses, plus the mind. Starring Jackson Yee as the “monster”, Shu Qi as Miss Shu, with Mark Chao, Li Gengxi, and Huang Jue. This earned mixed reviews at Cannes – some rave reviews (quoted in this) but many felt it’s not as cohesive or engaging as the premise promises, with so many abstract ideas that don’t really come together within a compelling narrative. Nonetheless it’s a must see for die-hard cinephiles.

Here’s the first teaser trailers for Bi Gan’s film Resurrection, direct from YouTube (via Indiewire):

Resurrection Teaser

Resurrection Teaser

Original synopsis via NYFF: “This phantasmagoric dream machine from visionary Chinese director Bi Gan is an elusive yet monumental love letter to a century of cinema. Unfolding over five chapters that feature a dazzling array of styles, Resurrection is a cascade of imagery united by a luminous mythopoetic conceit: in a sci-fi-coded world where people have lost the desire to dream in the hopes of prolonging life, rogue “fantasmers” continue to stoke their imaginations and exist within unreality. From this magical premise, the film sends its ever-morphing protagonist (played by Jackson Yee) through a series of genres, from Méliès-inflected silent fantasy to wartime thriller to con-artist buddy pic to millennial vampire romance — the latter depicted in one of Bi’s customary, ever astonishing, single takes. Even within genre parameters, the director never takes the road well-traveled, offering jolts & marvels around every corner. Resurrection is one of the most audacious and ambitious gifts for cinematic thrill-seekers in many a moon.” ~156 mins.

Resurrection, also known as 狂野时代 in Mandarin (meaning Wild Times), is directed by acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Bi Gan, director of the films Tiger, Kaili Blues, and Long Day’s Journey into Night previously, plus many other short films. The screenplay is written by Zhai Xiaohui and Bi Gan; from a story by Bi Gan. Produced by Shan Zuolong, Yang Lele, Charles Gillibert. This initially premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival playing in the Main Competition section – where it won a Special Award. Janus Films will debut Bi Gan’s Resurrection film in select US theaters starting on December 12th, 2025 later this year. Intrigued?

From Hormones to Human Optimization: Jay Campbell’s Crusade Against Mediocrity in Modern Health
Hollywood

Jay Campbell’s Crusade Against Mediocrity in Modern Health – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

In the current state of contemporary health, people are shifting their focus from treating symptoms to enhancing performance and vitality through factors like data, hormones, and tailored plans.

A big factor in this conversation is hormones.

Age-related hormonal decline is linked to chronic disease and frailty, according to the National Library of Medicine.

Meanwhile, longevity medicine is becoming an evidence-backed preventative discipline that is all about early detection and proactive care.

Peptide therapies are now extremely important in health optimization efforts.

A 2024 analysis from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine noted there are over 90 FDA-approved peptides, more than 150 in clinical development, and up to 600 undergoing preclinical trials.

These peptides span everything from digestion and cognitive function to hormone regulation and metabolic balance.

Because of their targeted mechanisms, peptides are being explored as potential tools for addressing specific aspects of health and performance.

In consumer markets, the demand for optimized health is growing at a rapid rate.

Euromonitor named longevity the top consumer trend of 2025.

More than half of consumers expect to be healthier in the next few years, which suggests a growing shift in desire for a longer health span, rather than a long lifespan.

Another important factor fueling this movement is access to health data.

With wearable devices, genetic testing, and biomarker-based platforms becoming more mainstream, consumers are no longer waiting for traditional healthcare appointments to identify problems.

Instead, they are looking for proactive solutions that reveal deficiencies and imbalances before they lead to chronic disease.

Reports indicate a strong majority of U.S. consumers now use at least one health-tracking technology, underscoring the appetite for individualized insights.

This is creating a demand for practitioners and thought leaders who can interpret that information and translate it into actionable protocols.

Within this industry, Jay Campbell has become a specialist in hormone optimization and a disruptor in challenging complacency in modern health culture.

His stance sees optimization not just as a personal health practice, but also as a cultural approach to wellness.

Campbell brings practical protocols into this movement.

As an international bestselling author with strong digital reach, he combines credibility and visibility in the field.

His contributions include peer-facing educational content and accessible protocols via his personal brand sites.

Campbell’s philosophies also extend into leadership and performance culture.

He argues that optimizing health is not only about living longer but about contributing more effectively to families, communities, and professional environments.

In interviews, he has spoken about the dangers of distraction and overstimulation in modern society, framing health optimization as a discipline that builds resilience against these forces.

While peptide regulation remains in a gray area, his operations, through BioLongevity Labs and personal brand channels, stress transparency and US-sourced manufacturing quality.

BioLongevity Labs acknowledges regulatory nuances and defers educational content to personal brand sites to remain compliant.

Campbell’s approach taps into both cultural and scientific currents.

His messages align with longevity medicine strategies that emphasize a broad integration: hormone panels, peptides, lifestyle, and deep biomarker tracking.

By rejecting mediocrity, he situates health optimization within a bigger picture of conscious leadership and intentional living.

Research on aging and disease supports the requirement for such intervention.

Evolutionary insights into aging suggest imbalances in anabolic versus maintenance pathways, such as overactive mTOR or IGF-1, heighten disease risk, and require a “Goldilocks zone” of biological activity for optimal function.

Some economic analyses further suggest that widespread adoption of these measures could generate significant value globally.

For Campbell, these findings align with his message that living consciously is not only beneficial on a personal level but has societal and economic implications as well.

Campbell frames these protocols as a defense against decline and an affirmation of one’s capacity.

His focus on hormone balance, peptide tools, and living an optimized lifestyle aligns with a preventive approach aiming to treat root causes while preserving functionality.

As modern health becomes more refined and individualized, hormones and peptides are expected to play an increasingly important role in this evolution.

Campbell is both a maverick promoter of the movement, as well as a challenger of complacency.

He urges intentional optimization in a world dominated by distractions and mechanized allopathic sickcare.

His philosophies and protocols, shared through extensive digital platforms and educational materials, reflect a commitment to human potential grounded in data and transparency.

“Who lost it all?” Netflix has unveiled a trailer for a documentary film titled Who Killed the Montreal Expos?, a sports history look back at a beloved baseball team. The Montreal Expos were the very first MLB team in Canada playing for 3 long decades. After the 2004 season, the franchise moved to Washington, D.C., and became the Washington Nationals. 20 years after they lost its beloved Expos, fans still want answers. Who Killed the Montreal Expos? takes a behind-the-scenes look at the controversial decisions, setbacks, and missteps (and betrayal?!) that sealed the team’s fate. Through candid interviews with Hall of Famers Pedro Martinez, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., and Larry Walker, along with beloved manager Felipe Alou, journalists, former employees, and diehard fans who lived through it all, the doc film investigates the behind-the-scenes controversies, devastating setbacks, and critical missteps that led to the shocking loss of one of the game’s most cherished franchises. With rare archival footage & flashbacks of the Expos’ greatest moments, the doc is equal parts sports drama, cultural love story, and gripping whodunit, unraveling the enduring mystery of how it all came to an end. This trailer plays like a crime thriller not a nostalgic look back at a team! Intense.

Who Killed the Montreal Expos? Doc Poster

On September 29th, 2004, the Montreal Expos played their final home game before a grieving crowd at Olympic Stadium. For 35 years, the Expos had been more than a ballclub. They were the first MLB team to call Canada home and became part of Montreal’s heartbeat, a symbol of pride and identity for Québécois. Generations grew up with the Expos, celebrating triumphs & enduring struggles. That final game marked the end of an era, and for many, the loss of a piece of themselves. Two decades later, the heartbreak still remains, and the same question haunts the city that once dreamed in Expos blue: who’s to blame for the loss of our team? Featuring rare archival footage and flashbacks of the Expos’ greatest moments, the doc is equal parts sports drama, cultural love story, and gripping whodunit, unraveling the enduring mystery of how it all came to an end. Who Killed the Montreal Expos? is directed by Quebecois filmmaker Jean-François Poisson, of the doc films Marie-Soleil et Jean-Claude: Au-delà des étoiles, 35 jours de noirceur, Dédé et Patrick: au-delà des étoiles, and Gai(e) tu ne seras point, plus many other short films. Produced by Stéphanie Thibault. Exec produced by Richard Speer, Marie-Christine Pouliot, & Nick Trotta. Netflix debuts Who Killed the Montreal Expos? streaming on Netflix worldwide starting on October 21st, 2025 this fall.

Polina Nioly’s Guide to Blogging Success – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Polina Nioly’s English-language accounts on Instagram and TikTok have already attracted more than 2 million followers, and her audience continues to grow rapidly. She has developed a unique growth method that has helped numerous individuals and businesses cultivate an audience in a short amount of time.

Today, Polina is not only an influencer but also a successful creator, helping others establish personal brands and create content that genuinely resonates with their audiences.

Polina shares the secrets behind her approach, explains who can become her client, and reveals what actually works when it comes to building popularity on social media.

Building an Audience

Polina started her Instagram blog back in 2017, when the platform wasn’t nearly as popular as it is now. At first, she focused on creating beautiful visuals, but over time, she began sharing more of her personal life, including travel stories, relationships, and even her dating experiences. That’s when her blog really began to grow.

She quickly realized that blogging could become her primary source of income. For Polina, a girl from a modest family, it was a revelation. She had always believed the only way to earn money was through an office job or running your own business. Then, she discovered Instagram could also be a career; one that’s exciting and full of perks. Now, she uses that knowledge to help my clients grow their own accounts.

A Pioneering Approach

Polina deeply understands how the market works. To this end, her trademark system combines market analytics, audience research, valuable content creation, experimental Reels for cold audiences, and active engagement with followers. As she details, “I don’t think in standard ways. I invent new marketing tools, test bold ideas, and never copy someone else’s strategy.”

Nioly Media Group

The main goal of her company, Nioly Media Group, is to provide social accounts with the tools they need to grow and increase their income. The team works with media personalities, influencers, businesses, and experts alike.

For influencers, the team organizes red carpet appearances, high-profile events, and brand collaborations. For celebrities, they help strengthen their careers and reputations through social media. As Polina notes, many world-famous celebrities don’t manage their own social accounts, even though it’s one of the most powerful tools for staying relevant.

For businesses, the team builds influencer partnerships, which have become the bread and butter of staying relevant and generating income in the modern age.

Beyond that, the team runs training programs for future professionals in PR, SMM, and influencer marketing. The graduates then help new bloggers grow, creating a continuous cycle of development and support, all stemming from Polina’s work.

The Importance of a Personal Brand

“If you’re not online, you don’t exist. A personal brand allows you to express yourself, share your opinions, build trust with your audience, and grow your income,” she says.

A strong brand stays with you even in times of crisis. It gives you a profession for life and the ability to support yourself and your family, even if you’re not an influencer or business owner. As such, moving forward, Polina Nioly plans to keep creating courses for creators, expanding Nioly Media Group and Talent Agency, and continuing to grow accounts around the world.

The Fetus: Terror, Transformation, and Twisted Humor
Hollywood

The Fetus: Terror, Transformation, and Twisted Humor

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Horror has always thrived on extremes, and The Fetus seizes that tradition with a mix of grotesque imagery, intimate storytelling, and sly absurdity. Directed by Joe Lam, the film debuted on September 9, 2025, through Stonecutter Media across major platforms, offering not just blood and body horror but also a meditation on faith, betrayal, and metamorphosis.

Stonecutter Media’s Steven Karel quickly recognized its potential. “I was attracted to distribute Joe Lam’s film for a specific reason. Joe’s work was not to just create an effective impact horror film, but rather create a branded experience that can be replicated in the future. For an indie film, he worked at this by manufacturing all kinds of creative and unusual swag and distributed it at film festivals, horror influencers, and fans at random. He created online games for people to win limited-edition cool memorabilia, all in an effort to create an image of horror that can become an ongoing film series premise.”

Lam explained that his starting point came from dissatisfaction with horror’s formulas. “The spark came from my desire to create something I hadn’t seen before. Doing something truly unique in horror is difficult, but I wanted to push the genre’s boundaries and explore themes beyond characters dying just for shock value.”

For influence, Lam leaned on his favorites. “I kept going back to my favorite body horror films from the 70s and 80s such as The Fly, The Thing, Alien, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. What drew me in wasn’t just the gore. It was how those films explored both inner and outer transformations. Characters weren’t simply fighting monsters, they were fighting themselves. That inner battle, whether to accept or reject what they were becoming, was what fascinated me and became the emotional core of The Fetus.”

Religion, a longtime horror staple, also took on fresh angles in his hands. “The Fetus uses religious symbolism not just for shock value, but to explore what happens when belief is shaken, whether that belief is in a higher power or in yourself. When it fractures, the collapse within the self can be just as terrifying as any demon.”

He emphasized balance over agenda. “I also wasn’t interested in turning the film into a sermon or a critique of religion. Instead, I wanted to show how moments of doubt and desperation can open the door to darker forces, both supernatural and emotional. At the same time, I was fascinated by the idea that even from corruption, something worth protecting can emerge. That tension between horror and hope is what fascinated me most, and it kept the story emotionally grounded.”

The performances brought the world to life. Bill Moseley, recognized for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and The Devil’s Rejects, elevated the production with his immersive approach. “Bill wasn’t just showing up to say lines; he was building a character from the inside out. He understood his character better than anyone else in that moment, and the result was far more powerful than what I had originally scripted.”

His instincts even trimmed the script. “One moment in particular stands out. He asked to cut three lines of dialogue I’d written and replace them with just two words while brandishing a shotgun. Many writer-directors might resist, feeling protective of their words, but I embraced it. He understood his character better than anyone else in that moment, and the result was far more powerful than what I had originally scripted.”

Lauren LaVera also delivered unforgettable work, using her martial arts background to tackle the film’s most grueling stunts. “One nighttime sequence in the forest pushed Lauren to her limits. She had to sprint, leap, and tackle another character while weighed down by layers of prosthetic makeup. Her martial arts training took over and she rolled cleanly, protecting herself and the prosthetics. That instinctive recovery not only saved the scene but showed everyone the level of skill and resilience she brought to the role.”

Effects played a central role in Lam’s vision. “This film required a blend of practical and visual effects, especially because the fetus creature evolves in size, anatomy, and function throughout the story. Each new stage pushed us to experiment with different techniques using puppetry, prosthetics, practical gore, green screen, and computer-generated imagery. But the guiding principle was always the same, to capture as much as possible in-camera before leaning on digital tools.”

He also valued subtlety. “Sometimes what you leave off-screen makes the audience squirm even more, because their imagination fills in the blanks.”

At its heart, the story is rooted in intimacy. “For me, the film only works if the relationship feels real. Beneath all the horror, it’s a story about a couple asking themselves if they’re truly ready to become parents and whether they can overcome the obstacles that come with that choice.”

By weaving terror with relatable fears, the film draws viewers in. “By rooting the drama in those emotional truths, the supernatural amplifies the human story. The horror becomes a mirror of their deepest anxieties, and the audience stays engaged because they care about whether this couple can come together in the face of impossible odds.”

Still, Lam never wanted only despair. “I want people to feel that even in the darkest, most impossible situations, there’s a capacity for transformation. At the same time, I want audiences to remember that The Fetus is also a horror-comedy. Yes, it tackles some heavy themes, but it also invites you to have fun, laugh, and enjoy the absurdity of it all.”

With its cocktail of body horror, religious overtones, psychological stakes, and sharp humor, The Fetus earns its place among the year’s most memorable horror films. Lam proves that even the most disturbing stories can hide moments of heart.

“Who’s the guy in the snow plow truck, Rebecca?! Mr. Plow??” Plaion Pictures has debuted the official UK trailer for an indie horror thriller film called Delivery Run, made by the Finnish filmmaker Joey Palmroos as his second feature following The Outlaws. This actually looks like some wacky horror out of the 80s or 90s – about a mad snow plow truck driver hunting down a delivery driver. Might be snowy, cold fun? A food delivery driver gets caught in a deadly chase in the icy Minnesota wilderness, pursued by a crazed snowplow driver for unknown reasons, facing life-threatening situations and forced to outsmart his relentless pursuer alone. As the storm rages and the ferocious follower brings terror at every turn, Lee starts to realize he’s not just running from a faceless pursuer, but from the weight of his own bad choices. What starts as a very bad day, becomes the ultimate fight for survival. Starring Alexander Arnold, Liam James Collins, Arthur Sylense, Jussi Lampi, and Nadine Higgin. This is a high energy / bonkers horror trailer – worth a look.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Joey Palmroos’ horror film Delivery Run, from YouTube:

Set in the unforgiving, icy backroads of Minnesota, Delivery Run follows Lee (starring Alexander Arnold), a delivery driver with a gambling problem and debts he can no longer dodge. After gangsters threaten him in his own home, Lee decides to try his luck at delivering food to drum up the cash he now needs urgently. On what should be a routine shift, a petty road-rage incident with a hulking snow plow, soon turns into an all-out hell ride, as Lee tries to escape the wrath of a homicidal maniac driver. What begins as a tit for tat chase soon escalates into a nightmarish journey through backroads, abandoned truck stops & over frozen rivers. Each encounter forces Lee to dig deeper into his own grit & determination – using nothing but his battered delivery car, a phone with an almost drained battery and sheer dumb luck to stay alive. Delivery Run is directed by the Finnish filmmaker Joey Palmroos, director of the film The Outlaws previously, and a few other shorts. The screenplay is written by Joey Palmroos & Anders Holmes. Produced by Pekka Ollula & Joey Palmroos. Plaion Pictures releases Joey Palmroos’ Delivery Run film in the UK on VOD starting October 6th, 2025 this fall. No US release is set yet – stay tuned for updates. Who’s curious?
