“Tortoise power! Here comes the radical reptiles.” Paramount has revealed a funny first look teaser for the animation one-off short film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2. Going back back to the way things used to be, they’re playing this new animated short in front of the upcoming theatrical release of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants this December. While we wait for the next TMNT: Mutant Mayhem sequel (scheduled for 2027), this short looks like a treat for Turtles fans. When a mysterious toy company exploits the Turtles’ newfound fame with ripoff toys, the brothers follow the clues to New Jersey where they stumble upon a shocking discovery. It’s going to be a delightful riff on the classic Home Alone movies, specifically Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (made in 1992). The full title is an obvious reference: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey. I’m glad they’re already ready to drop this – keep the Turtles up on the big screen where they belong in another fun little X-Mas story. As a big fan of Mutant Mayhem, I have to admit I’m excited to watch this and hang with the brothers again. Check it out.

First teaser for Kent Seki’s short film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2, via YouTube:

The screenplay is by Andrew Joustra. It’s produced by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, James Weaver, Jeff Rowe, Ramsay McBean. Made by Nickelodeon Movies & Point Grey Pictures. Animated by Mikros Animation in Montreal & Paris. How the Son of a Boxing Legend Died – Hollywood Life

Arturo Gatti Jr., the son of late Canadian pro boxer Arturo Gatti, died. He was 17 years old. Gatti’s former bodyguard, Chuck Zito, announced the devastating news of his cause of death on October 8, 2025, and Boxing News released a statement expressing its condolences to the Gatti family.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Arturo Gatti Jr, who has died at just 17 years old in Mexico,” Boxing News’ statement read. “Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time. May he rest in peace.”

Here’s what we know about Gatti Jr.’s untimely death and his late father.

Who Was Arturo Gatti?

Gatti Sr. was a professional Canadian boxer and a world champion in two weight classes. He came from a family of boxers as the brother of former pro Joe Gatti.

Gatti Sr. was married to his wife, Brazil native Amanda Rodrigues, whom he shared his son, Gatti Jr., with. Gatti Sr. also had a daughter from a previous relationship.

How Did Arturo Gatti Die in 2009?

Gatti was found dead in July 2009 in a hotel in Ipojuca, Pernambuco, Brazil, where he was on a trip with his wife and son. He was 37. Though Rodrigues was initially charged by Brazilian authorities for what they ruled a homicide, the coroner’s report revealed that Gatti died by suicide. Charges against Gatti’s widowed wife were subsequently dropped.

Who Was Arturo Gatti Jr.?

As the son of a late pro boxer, Gatti Jr. planned to follow in his father’s footsteps in the sport. He competed at the amateur level until he died in 2025.

How Did Arturo Gatti Jr. Die? His Cause of Death

Though it’s still too early for an autopsy report, Zito, Gatti’s former bodyguard, announced via Instagram in October 2025 that Gatti Jr. died “the same way” as his father did: by suicide.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say,…. R.I.P. to 17-year-old ARTURO GATTI JR. who was found hanging in an apartment in Mexico yesterday,” Zito wrote in the caption. “The same way they found his father dead in an apartment in Brazil 16 years ago. My condolences to Arturo Gatti Seniors – Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia.”

If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Official US Trailer for ‘Radu Jude’s Dracula’ Film Out Later This Month

“Suck it, Dracula!” 1-2 Special has revealed the full official US trailer for a film called Dracula, yet another new Dracula movie this year – along with Luc Besson’s Dracula. This one is actually called Radu Jude’s Dracula, the official title because it’s directed by Romanian filmmaker Radu Jude. Looks totally bonkers! He’s the original intro from the Locarno Film Festival: “A Dracula film made in Transylvania. What does it contain? A vampire hunt. Zombies & Dracula crashing a strike. A sci-fi story about Vlad the Impaler coming back. An adaptation of the first Romanian vampire novella. A love story. A montage film reusing a classic vampire film. A vulgar folktale. AI-generated kitsch stories. And many delights in a film dealing with this cinema myth.” The film is a riff on Artificial intelligence including scenes created with AI because it’s acting as commentary on how stupid AI is, not indulging in it. This stars Adonis Tanța, Oana Maria Zaharia, Gabriel Spahiu, Ilinca Manolache, Alexandru Dabija, Andrada Balea, Doru Talos, Lukas Miko, Serban Pavlu, and Alexandra Harapu. This looks like a crazy fun new creation from Radu Jude’s mind.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Radu Jude’s Dracula, direct from 1-2’s YouTube:

Radu Jude's Trailer

Radu Jude's Poster

A frustrated filmmaker, facing creative paralysis, turns to an AI chatbot in order to make his latest movie a hit. The result is a series of increasingly outrageous vignettes exploring the myth of Dracula in all its forms. From a wild chase through the streets of modern Transylvania to eerie hauntings in the Romanian countryside, cinematic provocateur Radu Jude returns with another boundary-pushing epic featuring a union-busting Dracula breaking a strke, an adaptation of the first Romania vampire novella, thwarted romance, fields of phalluses, lots of blood, and much more. Radu Jude’s Dracula is written and directed by acclaimed Romanian indie filmmaker Radu Jude, director of many indie films including The Happiest Girl in the World, A Film for Friends, Everybody in Our Family, Aferim!, Scarred Hearts, I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians, Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn, and Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World previously, plus tons of other shorts & unique docs. Produced by Rodrigo Teixeira & Alexandru Teodorescu. This first premiered at the 2025 Locarno Film Festival a few months ago. 1-2 Special will release Radu Jude’s Dracula in select US theaters starting October 29th, 2025 this fall. Who’s down?

Where it Was Filmed & True Story of Kevin McKay – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 8, 2025

California’s wildfires have gripped the nation in years. Dry conditions have made it difficult for the West Coast to prevent and contain them. Nine months after a string of infernos destroyed multiple Los Angeles County towns, Apple TV+’s The Lost Bus, starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, premiered, focusing on the 2018 Camp Fire, which burned the Northern California town of Paradise.

Considered the state’s deadliest wildfire to date, with 85 casualties, the Camp Fire started from a failed Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) transmission line. The blaze destroyed more than 18,000 structures and displaced more than 50,000 people in the area. Smoke blanketed neighboring counties for nearly three weeks before the fire was contained.

Below, Hollywood Life explains the true story behind The Lost Bus, where the production was filmed and more about the cast.

Where Was The Lost Bus Filmed? Movie Location

Thought it takes place in the town of Paradise, California, where the Camp Fire ravaged, The Lost Bus was filmed in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

The True Story Behind The Lost Bus Movie: Who Is Kevin McKay?

Kevin McKay, played by McConaughey, was a real bus driver who inspired the on-screen character. The film was directly based on one story from Lizzie Johnson‘s 2021 book, Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire.

November 8, 2018, McKay responded to an emergency call about 22 children and two teachers who needed to be evacuated from Ponderosa Elementary school from a fast-moving wildfire. McKay drove them for five hours through 30 miles of thick smoke and fire until they were safe, he told CBS News that year. The two schoolteachers with McKay used ripped pieces of his shirt to help avoid breathing in the smoke.

Unlike his character in the film, McKay’s real-life family had already evacuated when he answered the emergency call.

“I just knew that things were going to continue to escalate,” McKay told CBS in 2018. “We didn’t leave until every kid was accounted for, and every kid was with their mom and dad.”

The second schoolteacher did not want to be involved the film, so only Ferrera’s character, Mary Ludwig, is portrayed on screen.

The Lost Bus Movie Cast & Characters

In addition to McConaughey’s McKay and Ferrera’s Ludwig, the rest of the cast features Yul Vazquez as Ray Martinez, the Cal Fire Division chief, Ashlie Atkinson as Ruby, the bus depot dispatcher, Levi McConaughey (McConaughey’s real-life son) as Shaun McKay, Kevin’s son, Kay McCabe McConaughey (McConaughey’s real-life mother) as Sherry McKay, Kate Wharton as Jen Kissoon, the Cal Fire battalion chief, Danny McCarthy as McKenzie, Spencer Watson as Hopkins, Nathan Gariety as Levi and Gary Kraus as Sheriff Thomas.

Sofia Perlgard: The Modern Viking Goddess Redefining Strength, Motherhood, and Style

Sofia Perlgard: The Modern Viking Goddess Redefining Strength, Motherhood, and Style

by jummy84 October 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Move over, classic superheroes. There’s a new archetype of strength capturing our attention, and she’s not wearing a cape she’s a mother, a nurse, a model, and a descendant of kings. Meet Sofia, the Modern Viking Woman, who is blending ancient resilience with a fiercely modern mindset to create a life that is as authentic as it is inspiring.

In an exclusive glimpse into her world, Sofia shatters the typical “strong woman” trope with a refreshing dose of humility. “I usually don’t think of myself as strong, I just manage to survive somehow,” she admits, revealing that her power lies in her communication skills and her ability to talk herself out of problems. This quiet perseverance is her secret weapon, a trait honed by the ultimate teachers: her four children. “They have learned me to have patience,” she shares. “They are the ones who give me strength. Without them I don’t know what to do.”

This inner Viking isn’t just a metaphor; it’s in her blood. With a Swedish father who worked with reindeers and a Finnish grandmother, her heritage is a core part of her identity. A fascinating genealogy discovery even revealed a lineage tracing back to a Norwegian king, connecting her present-day strength to a legendary past.

By day, Sofia serves as an assistant nurse, a role driven by a profound mission to give back to the elders who built society. By night, she balances this demanding career with her passions in front of the camera. So, what’s her secret to the ultimate juggling act? There is no secret, just radical prioritization. “My number one priority has been to be a present and caring mother,” she states, often saying no to opportunities to be there for her kids. She steals moments for self-care in the small pockets of time when they are at school, proving that “me-time” doesn’t have to be a grand affair.

Sofia’s philosophy extends to her personal style, which is as dynamic as her life. She’s just as comfortable in sweatpants for an early shift as she is in a designer gown for a glamorous photoshoot or a night out with her husband. “I look like somebody who ran from the mental hospital,” she jokes about her home attire, embracing the two different worlds she navigates with grace and humor.

Her message to other women is pure Viking wisdom: “Have some ice in your belly.” It’s a call for cool-headed perseverance. “Stand your ground,” she urges. “Be different, a black sheep. Only the weak ones follow the crowd.”

With a growing platform, Sofia is ready for her next adventure, aiming to dive deeper into her love for film acting. She is a powerful reminder that the modern Viking spirit isn’t about conquest, but about the courageous exploration of one’s own potential, all while holding your family close and staying true to yourself.

“Do you think bad things that we do follow us through life?” Netflix has revealed the stunning main official trailer for one of the best films of the year – Train Dreams, by filmmaker Clint Bentley (writer / producer on Sing Sing, director of Jockey before this). Train Dreams premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to great reviews (here’s mine). Netflix is properly giving this a theatrical release – playing in theaters exclusively in November for two weeks before it arrives for streaming. The breathtakingly beautiful film is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 20th Century. It follows him throughout a great deal of his life, through trials and tribulations, as he watches the world change right before his eyes. It’s an incredible film. With a score composed by Bryce Dessner. Train Dreams stars Joel Edgerton as Robert, Felicity Jones, Nathaniel Arcand, Clifton Collins Jr., John Diehl, Paul Schneider, with Kerry Condon and William H. Macy. Narrated by Will Patton. The film has been earning more raves playing at festivals all year & I’m looking forward to it releasing soon so everyone can finally watch it. Enjoy.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Clint Bentley’s film Train Dreams, direct from Netflix’s YouTube:

The screenplay is written by Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar (director of Sing Sing), based on the novella of the same name by Denis Johnson. It’s produced by Marissa McMahon, Teddy Schwarzman, William Janowitz, Ashley Schlaifer, Michael Heimler. How Old Is Dolly Parton? See the Country Music Star’s Age Now – Hollywood Life

Dolly Parton has long been an icon—not just for her contributions to country music and her unforgettable stage presence, but also for her resilience and spirit. Even in 2025, she continues to engage new generations, collaborating with Sabrina Carpenter on “Please Please Please” in February.

Tragically, Dolly’s personal life took a painful turn when her husband of nearly six decades, Carl Thomas Dean, passed away on March 3, 2025. In an Instagram post, she shared, “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.” The statement continued, “The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.”

Now, on top of grieving, Dolly is confronting her own health challenges. In 2025, she postponed her Las Vegas residency and missed several appearances due to issues with kidney stones and infection, citing the need for medical procedures and recovery time.

Learn more about her net worth, age, and Carl’s age below.

Dolly Parton’s Net Worth

Dolly has a net worth of $650 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

How Old Is Dolly Parton?

Dolly is 79 years old. She will celebrate her 80th birthday on January 19, 2025, as she was born in 1946.

How Old Was Carl Thomas Dean?

Carl was 82 at the time of his passing. He and Dolly had been married since 1966, keeping their relationship mostly private over the years.

Does Dolly Parton Have Children?

Dolly never had children. In a 2020 interview with Oprah Winfrey for The Oprah Conversation on Apple TV, she explained her decision. “I didn’t have children because I believed that God didn’t mean for me to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, so I could do things like Imagination Library because if I hadn’t had the freedom to work, I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done,” Dolly said. “I wouldn’t be in a position to do all of the things I’m doing now.”

She added, “Since I had no kids, and my husband was pretty independent, I had freedom.” The singer continued, “So I think a big part of my whole success is the fact that I was free to work.”

A Breakdown of His Earnings & Current Salary – Hollywood Life
Hollywood

A Breakdown of His Earnings & Current Salary – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Lebron James isn’t just one of the greatest basketball players of all time—he’s also one of the wealthiest athletes in history. From record-breaking NBA salaries to massive endorsement deals and smart investments, LeBron has built a fortune that reflects both his dominance on the court and his business acumen off it.

In June 2025, he exercised his player option, reportedly worth $52.6 million, to remain with the Lakers for the 2025-26 season, marking his eighth year in Los Angeles. He also raised eyebrows that October by teasing his “second decision,” though it was just a Hennessy advertisement. Nevertheless, many are curious about how much LeBron is worth now, how he earned his wealth, and what his salary looks like today.

Find out more below.

Is LeBron James Retiring From the NBA?

LeBron has not announced any plans to retire yet. However, according to ESPN, he was overheard in a viral video shared in June 2025 at a dinner in New York City saying that his wife, Savannah James, would like him to retire within the next year.

While LeBron continues to weigh his options, he remains under contract with the Lakers for the 2025-26 season.

LeBron James’ Net Worth in 2025

LeBron has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion as of 2025, according to Forbes.

He officially became a billionaire in 2022, becoming the first active NBA player to reach that milestone. In a 2014 interview with GQ, LeBron shared his excitement about the possibility of hitting that mark, saying, “And if I happen to get it, if I happen to be a billion-dollar athlete—ho, hip hip hooray! Oh my God, I’m gonna be excited.”

Inside LeBron James’ Career Earnings & Annual Salaries

Over his NBA career, LeBron has earned more than $450 million in salary alone, including record annual salaries that peaked at over $47 million with the Lakers. He first signed a rookie deal worth about $13 million over three years with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, before signing a $60 million extension in 2006.

LeBron’s earnings took a major leap when he joined the Miami Heat in 2010 on a six-year, $110 million deal. He returned to Cleveland in 2014 on a series of short-term max contracts, allowing him to benefit from rising salary caps and negotiate higher annual payouts. In 2018, he signed a four-year, $153 million contract with the Lakers, followed by a two-year, $97 million extension in 2022.

Off the court, LeBron’s endorsement deals with brands like Nike—where his lifetime contract alone is estimated to be worth over $1 billion—along with Beats by Dre, PepsiCo, and others, have been even more lucrative than his NBA paychecks.

LeBron James’ Kids

LeBron has three children with his wife, Savannah: Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri. Bronny, born in 2004, was drafted 55th overall by the Lakers in 2024 and made history by joining his father on the court—participating in both the NBA and the Summer League—making them the first father-son duo in NBA history.

Lawrence & Pattinson in Lynne Ramsay’s ‘Die My Love’ Official Trailer

by Alex Billington
October 6, 2025

“If you’re having a hard time…” “I feel fine.” Mubi has unveiled the main official trailer for the film Die My Love, the highly anticipated new film from acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay. Set to open in theaters in early November next month. Die My Love first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival a few months ago to mostly mixed & negative reviews. Too loud, too crazy, doesn’t amount too much. But worth a look if you want something extra wild… In a remote forgotten rural area, a mother struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Die My Love is Ramsay’s blistering depiction of a woman engulfed by love and madness, featuring stunning performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson as a married couple dealing with life and a new baby. The cast also includes LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. Based on the book by Ariana Harwicz. With cinematography by Seamus McGarvey. This trailer is very different than the teaser – playing it like it’s a scary thriller more than the crazy drama it really is. Very strange choice that doesn’t really sell it correctly. Does anyone want to see this film anymore?

Here’s the official trailer (+ posters) for Lynne Ramsay’s film Die My Love, direct from Mubi’s YouTube:

Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in the isolated countryside. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination, strength and a stunning untamed vivacity that she discovers herself anew. Die My Love is directed by acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, director of the films Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and You Were Never Really Here previously, plus many other shorts. The screenplay is written by Enda Walsh & Lynne Ramsay and Alice Birch. Adapted from the the book by Ariana Harwicz. Produced by Andrea Calderwood, Justine Ciarrocchi, Jennifer Lawrence, Thad Luckinbill, Trent Luckinbill, Martin Scorsese, and Molly Smith. This initially premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Mubi will debut Ramsay’s Die My Love film in select US thaters starting on November 7th, 2025 this fall. Look any good?
