“What happened, Washington? All those bullet holes in your jacket…” The religious movie distributor called Angel Studios has revealed their first look teaser trailer for Young Washington, a traditionalist look back at the origin story of “America’s first leader.” The story of America’s first president – George Washington. From filmmaker Jon Erwin (director of Jesus Revolution, I Can Only Imagine, House of David) comes a powerful new historical epic based on the true story that shaped a nation. Introducing William Franklyn-Miller as the young George and also starring Mary-Louise Parker as his mom Mary Washington, Kelsey Grammer as Lord Fairfax, Andy Serkis as Edward Braddock, Jonno Davies as James Mackay, and Ben Kingsley as Robert Dinwiddie. This film explores the courage, sacrifice, and destiny that forged a legendary leader – following George “fighting through intense battles in the French and Indian War and fending for himself in tense military meetings.” What will they leave out? Young Washington will open in theaters in July 2026 – just before Independence Day 2026, which will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Of course they’re releasing it then. This looks like an epic history lesson, similar to The Patriot from 2000, but it’ll also be exceptionally pro-America in a very cringe way. Have at it.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Jon Erwin’s movie Young Washington, direct from Angel’s YouTube:

Young Washington Teaser Trailer

“Before he led a revolution, he survived one.” The origin story of America’s first leader… The film traces the early life of America’s first president and will debut in theaters nationwide during Independence Day Weekend 2026, honoring the nation’s 250th year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. “It captures the tension, courage, and humanity of a leader whose formative story has rarely been told on screen.” Young Washington is directed by faith-based filmmaker Jon Erwin, director of the films October Baby, Fully Alive, Woodlawn, I Can Only Imagine, I Still Believe, American Underdog, The Jesus Music, Jesus Revolution, and the “House of David” series previously. The screenplay is written by Jon Erwin, Tom Provost, Diederik van Hoogstraten. It’s produced by Adam Abel, Benton Crane, Chip Diggins, Jon Erwin, Kristopher Kimlin, Edmund Sampson, Tyler Zacharia. Angel Studios will debut Erwin’s Young Washington movie in theaters nationwide starting on July 3rd, 2026 next summer. Anyone want to actually watch it?

How Many Plane Crashes So Far in 2025? See Number – Hollywood Life

In light of recent aviation issues and catastrophic plane crashes across the United States, travelers have grown increasingly concerned about flying, whether on commercial or non-commercial aircraft. In just one week at the end of January 2025, a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines flight collided near Washington D.C. Days later, a medical jet transporting a child patient crashed in Northeast Philadelphia.

Adding to these tragedies, an Air India flight crashed into a medical college hostel in Ahmedabad, India, on June 12, 2025. The plane was carrying more than 240 people on board. Then, on July 13, 2025, a Beechcraft Super King Air (Zeusch Aviation Flight SUZ1) crashed shortly after taking off from London Southend Airport, erupting into flames and killing all four onboard. Toward the end of the year, two Delta planes collided on the taxiway at Laguardia Airport in New York City.

Below, read what the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and multiple outlets have reported regarding plane crashes and aviation issues this year.

Two Delta Air Lines regional aircraft collide at low speed while taxiing at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.

Although a total of 93 people were involved in the incident, only one person, a cabin crew member, was injured.

How Many Plane Crashes Are There Per Year?

The number of plane crashes, accidents, and other issues varies per year. On average, there have been about 250 near-midair collisions reported by any piloted aircraft over the last 20 years, CBS News reported. Over the past five years, there were around 385 of these crashes every year, which equates to more than one incident per day, according to the outlet.

Aviation attorney and former U.S. Air Force navigator Jim Brauchle told Newsweek in January 2025 that “there is probably, maybe not every day, but probably on average, every other day, a plane crash somewhere in the United States.” He added those crashes involved non-commercial aircraft “almost 99 percent of the time.”

How Many Plane Crashes Have There Been in 2025?

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, there have been 1,091 aviation accidents so far in 2025. Of these, 200 were considered fatal accidents, and 891 were non-fatal.

On February 10, Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil‘s private plane collided with another aircraft. He was not on board, but the pilot of the plane was killed. Just two days later, a Navy fighter jet crashed into San Diego Bay near Shelter Island on February 12. Per Fox 5, authorities confirmed that the two pilots onboard were rescued.

On February 17, a Delta Airlines plane crash-landed at Toronto’s Pearson International. Fortunately, multiple outlets reported that passengers survived the crash. Just two days later, two small planes collided with one another in the air at Arizona’s Marana Regional Airport.

On March 9, a small plane crashed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with five passengers on board. Multiple injuries were reported, and the cause behind the plane’s crash is still unknown.

On March 14, a Beech A36 Bonanza aircraft crashed around 7:50 a.m. near the intersection of North Memorial Drive and Belvoir Road, close to the Pitt-Greenville Airport. In a press conference, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that no survivors were found at the crash site. While the exact number of fatalities remains unclear, the Greenville Police Department reported that multiple individuals were on board the aircraft.

On April 10, 2025, a helicopter carrying Siemens CEO Augustin Escobar and his family crashed into the Hudson River in New York. All six people on board died. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

On June 12, an Air India flight with more than 240 people on board crashed and struck a doctor’s hostel in India.

Did Trump Fire Air Traffic Controllers?

According to the Associated Press, air traffic control employees were initially offered buyouts from the president when he enacted changes to the federal workforce in January 2025. Air traffic controllers’ union reportedly recommended its members not to accept the buyout. Moreover, the Office for Personnel Management (OPM) claimed that controllers were not eligible for the widespread resignation plan nor were they subject to the potential hiring freeze across the federal workforce, per the AP.

According to the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists (PASS) union, “several hundred” workers received termination notices on February 14, with the number estimated to be close to 300. The firings at the FAA did not include air traffic controllers but appeared to primarily affect engineers and technicians. Many of those terminated were probationary employees, having been employed for less than a year and lacking job protection.

Injuries in Philadelphia Crash: How Many People Were Affected?

Injuries in DC Collision: How Many People Were Killed?

All 67 people aboard the American Airlines regional jet and the US Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided midair near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on January 29, 2025, were presumed dead.

Recovery teams returned to the icy waters of the Potomac River on Friday, continuing their search for victims and additional evidence related to the deadliest U.S. air crash in more than two decades.

Injuries in Seattle Crash: Were There Any Injuries Reported?

On February 5, 2025, a Japan Airlines plane backed into the tail of a Delta Airlines aircraft while taxiing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. According to multiple reports, officials have confirmed no injuries. Although the incident occurred at the airport, it caused a temporary disruption to flights, according to the FAA’s website. Japan Airlines later issued a statement to USA Today, saying, “We sincerely apologize to all involved for any inconvenience. The detailed cause and circumstances are currently under investigation.”

Toronto Crash Landing

On February 17, 2025, a Delta Air Lines flight crash-landed inverted in Toronto. Miraculously, all 80 people on board, including crew members, survived the incident.

Arizona Midair Plane Collision

On February 19, 2025, two small planes collided in the air with one another in Arizona. One person was confirmed dead.

Air India Plane Crash

On June 12, 2025, only one person survived out of 242 people on board Air India Flight 171 when the aircraft struck a medical college hostel in Ahmedabad, India. A preliminary crash report revealed that the fuel switches had somehow been cut off shortly after takeoff.

Southend Airport Plane Crash

On July 13, 2025, a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air operated by Dutch medevac firm Zeusch Aviation (Flight SUZ1) crashed shortly after taking off from London Southend Airport. The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch deployed a team of specialists to investigate operations, human factors, engineering, and flight data. Essex Police are assisting in casualty identification, confirming all four aboard were foreign nationals.

“In this office – my office – we believe in Bruce Springsteen.” “Let’s burn this place down, Jon.” 🎸 20th Century Studios has launched their final official trailer for the music biopic movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, a look back at the early days of Bruce Springsteen in the 80s creating his album called “Nebraska”. This rock ‘n roll musical biopic celebration will hit theaters nationwide in late October. In just a few weeks! Inspired by the book of the same name, it follows Bruce Springsteen’s journey in creating and recording his 1982 album “Nebraska” in his Jersey bedroom, which emerged just as he was recording “Born in the USA” with the E Street Band. The movie stars Jeremy Allen White as “The Boss”, and is written & directed by Scott Cooper. The full cast also includes Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s long-time confidant & manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Bruce’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as his love interest, Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mom, Adele; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin; David Krumholtz as record exec Al Teller. The studio has already posted so many trailers for this, and featurettes, we’ve seen plenty and it looks pretty good. Rock on, Bruce.

Made by 20th Century Studios, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom (starring Jeremy Allen White as The Boss), struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Taped on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life & is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe. Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Scott Cooper, director of the films Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace, Black Mass, Hostiles, Antlers, and The Pale Blue Eye previously. The screenplay is also written by Scott Cooper, based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere” by Warren Zanes. It’s produced by Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson and Scott Stuber. 20th Century Studios will release Cooper’s Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere film in theaters nationwide starting on October 24th, 2025 this fall. Kiernan Shipka’s Halloween Essentials Include Horror Flicks, Candy, and Beauty Sleep Before a Costume Party

Trick or treat! Kiernan Shipka has become the Halloween queen thanks to her roles in thrillers like Totally Killer, Longlegs, The Silence, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and more.

To celebrate the 2025 spooky season, the actress told ET exactly how she’s getting into the spirit.

“My Halloween must-haves include watching and rewatching a long list of horror films, going to a haunted house or two, eating candy, and hitting a few parties on the big night. … I always like dressing up and I love decorations,” she shared.

Kiernan Shipka/Instagram

When it comes to her look, Shipka likes to make the night one to remember with a creative get-up.

“Good drinks, good music, and committed costumes make it a great party,” she spilled.

“Sometimes my costume is planned out and sometimes it’s last minute. … Usually, the idea will just come to me at a random moment, and I write it down so that I remember when Halloween time approaches,” she added.

This time around? “I have a costume ready and it’s very hair and makeup focused.”

Hatch

Ahead of the celebrations, though, the star makes sure she’s well-rested without any sleepless scaries.

Shipka teamed up with Hatch for their eerie new campaign trailer, Goodnight, Phone, which reminds everyone to log off before bed.

“Good sleep is so important. When I don’t get enough, I really feel it. I remind myself that I want to feel excited and present during a big event, so getting a good night’s sleep beforehand is a non-negotiable,” she said.

To ensure a restful evening, the Chicago, Illinois native relies on a few simple nighttime must-haves.

Hatch

“Before bed, I usually have some sort of snack. I like to review my day and make a to-do list for the next one, and then I’ll go ahead and do my skincare and take a little magnesium gummy.”

She then turns on Hatch’s Restore sleep clock to start her Unwind routine, complete with soothing sounds and relaxing lights.

“Maintaining this nightly ritual helps my brain recognize that it’s time to relax, and makes falling asleep not only a breeze, but also just a really nice experience. … I’ve also been loving the seasonal bedtime stories on my Hatch+, and saw they added The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, so I’m ready to get into it.”

“We wanted to be sure to give people a big screen experience that would be absolutely insane.” Yes, please! 20th Century has revealed a behind-the-scenes promo featurette for Predator: Badlands directed by Dan Trachtenberg. This is the next exciting Predator movie follow-up to the hit Prey from 2022, being released IN theaters this November! After two full trailers before this, finally a look at them filming on set and also the practical FX + man-in-suit Predator design. The director of Prey welcomes you to a world of hurt. Set on a remote planet, a young Yautja outcast from his clan finds an unlikely ally on his journey in search of the ultimate adversary. Co-starring Elle Fanning as an android + Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the young predator who must confront an apex predator. So glad to see and hear from Trachtenberg as he is filming this. And I’m glad they’re doing as much as possible for real, on location in the wild, shooting with an actual guy wearing a Predator suit, before they use CGI to fill in the rest of the action. Yep this is going to be awesome! The more they show from this, the more pumped I am to head right into the theater and watch.

Here’s the making of featurette (+ poster) for Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands, from YouTube:

The screenplay is written by Dan Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison. Based on characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. While many know Diane Keaton as the iconic actress who took over Hollywood with such films as Annie Hall, Something’s Gotta Give and the Godfather franchise, some fans are surprised to discover she never married and became a mother in her 50s by adopting a daughter and son. “Motherhood has completely changed me,” Diane once told Film Monthly. “It’s just about the most completely humbling experience that I’ve ever had.”

Even after winning an Academy Award, two Golden Globes and AFI Life Achievement Award, the First Wives Club star said she always knew there was more to life than acting and so she wanted to try her hand at parenting. “It was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time,” she told Access Online in 2008. “So I plunged in.”

Unfortunately, Diane died on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79.

Keep reading to find out all about her two amazing children, Dexter and Duke, below.

Diane Keaton’s Children: Everything to Know About Her 2 Kids Dexter & Duke
(Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Tribeca Film Festival)

Dexter Keaton

In 1996, Diane adopted Dexter, who was born a year earlier. The young beauty didn’t follow in her mother’s Tinseltown footsteps, although she has accompanied Diane on many a red carpet. And the University of Arizona alum certainly gushes about her incredible mom, as she shared a snap of the pair on Mother’s Day 2014 with the caption, “I’m so thankful to have been adopted by such a strong, beautiful, and talented woman. I couldn’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I love you!”

Dexter also couldn’t wait to share the exciting news of her engagement via Instagram back in November 2020. With a snap of her then-boyfriend Jordan White proposing on one knee, Dexter wrote, “This morning started with hail and ended with a diamond! I can’t believe I’m engaged! I love you, Jordan!”

The couple went on to get married in June 2021 and photos of the beautiful nuptials were posted all over Dexter’s social media. In one adorable snap, the bride and groom pose with Diane and Duke, as Dexter captioned it, “Family.” A source told Closer Weekly that the wedding was “perfect.” “It was Dexie’s day and she was a beautiful bride,” the insider added. “Diane cried, of course … she just can’t believe how time flies by.”

Duke Keaton

Dexter’s little brother Duke was welcomed to the family in 2001. Much like his sister, Duke appears to keep a low profile and is quite the private person. Although he has not yet taken to his mother’s interest in acting, he has rubbed elbows with the glitterati, as he posted a super cute snap with Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne to his Instagram. He also appears to enjoy cooking, as he has shared numerous chef tutorials on social media, including one where he and a friend prepare steak and eggs for breakfast.

Another hobby of his appears to be photography, as he runs a separate Instagram account where he publishes his gorgeous photos. The collection includes tropical landscapes, gritty cityscapes and snaps of his international travels. He has quite the eye! Diane must be tickled pink, as she herself is an accomplished photographer, having published several books of her work. In a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair, Diane said her mother influenced her to pick up a camera. “She encouraged me to save pictures. ‘Don’t forget,’ she’d say. Photographs have such an impact—more than words. They are so visceral and intense.’”

It’ll be ready for streaming starting in January 2026 in just a few months from now if anyone wants to tune in. Set in the 32nd century, the far-future time period that was introduced in the series Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024), the series follows the first new class of Starfleet cadets in over a century as they come of age and also train to be officers. Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, & Bella Shepard star as Starfleet Academy cadets, with Holly Hunter as captain & chancellor of Starfleet Academy, Zoë Steiner, Robert Picardo, Tig Notaro, and Oded Fehr. The second season is already filming now with the first launching soon. With two recurring characters: Gina Yashere as Lura Thok – part Klingon, part Jem’Hadar first officer of the Athena; and Paul Giamatti as Nus Braka – part-Klingon, part-Tellarite who has an ominous past connection to one of the cadets. Actually pretty fun to see Giamatti in all that make-up on a Star Trek series. Maybe this will be worth a watch? Check out the footage.

Diane Keaton wasn’t just a movie star—she was a force of personality who redefined what it meant to be effortlessly original in Hollywood. With her signature turtlenecks, quick wit, and undeniable charm, the Oscar-winning actress built a career that spanned more than five decades. From her early breakthrough in The Godfather to her iconic role in Annie Hall, Keaton brought intelligence, humor, and warmth to every performance. Following her death in October 2025 at age 79, fans and stars alike have been celebrating the life of a true icon.

Learn all about Keaton below.

She Won an Academy Award for Annie Hall

Keaton earned widespread acclaim—and her first Oscar—for her performance in Annie Hall (1977), directed by Woody Allen. Her quirky charm and effortless chemistry with Allen made the role unforgettable and turned her into a style icon overnight.

Keaton went on to become one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actresses, with a career spanning more than five decades. She appeared in some of the most beloved films of all time, including The Godfather and Father of the Bride franchises, Reds, Baby Boom, The First Wives Club, Something’s Gotta Give, and Book Club. Over the years, she earned numerous honors, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA, two Golden Globes, and the AFI Life Achievement Award.

She Had a Long Creative History With Woody Allen

Keaton was perhaps best known for her long-running collaboration with director Allen. The pair worked together on several of his most acclaimed films, including Annie Hall, Manhattan, Play It Again, Sam, Sleeper, Love and Death, and Manhattan Murder Mystery. Their professional partnership helped define both of their careers.

The two also shared a brief romantic relationship in the 1970s. In a 1996 interview with The New Yorker, Keaton recalled being “crazy about him” when they first met, adding that “girls have always liked him and had crushes on him because he’s so funny and talented.”

Allen has since faced sexual abuse allegations from his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, who accused him of molesting her as a child—allegations he has repeatedly denied. The controversy resurfaced following the 2021 HBO documentary Allen v. Farrow. Despite public backlash, Keaton continued to stand by her longtime friend and collaborator, writing on social media in 2018, “Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him.” Her statement drew criticism from several figures in Hollywood, including director Judd Apatow, who condemned Allen and referenced past reports of inappropriate behavior.

She Was Also an Author, Photographer, and Real Estate Enthusiast

Outside of acting, Keaton published several books, including memoirs and photography collections that explored her love of architecture and design. She became known for restoring historic Los Angeles homes, blending her artistic eye with a sharp business sense.

She Never Married but Embraced Motherhood Later in Life

Keaton chose not to marry but found deep fulfillment in motherhood. She adopted her daughter, Dexter, in 1996 and her son, Duke, in 2001, becoming a mom in her 50s. In a 2019 interview with People, she reflected on her life as a single parent and why marriage was never the right fit for her. “I think that I’m strange,” she said with a laugh. “I’m 73, and I think I’m the only one in my generation — and maybe before — who has been a single woman all her life.” Keaton explained that she didn’t feel sad about her single status, adding, “I think that I needed more of a maternal aspect. I don’t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and I’m really glad I didn’t.”

She Loved Pop Music and Starred in a Justin Bieber Music Video

Keaton’s love for music was well known, and she wasn’t afraid to surprise fans with her taste. In 2021, at 75 years old, she starred in Justin Bieber’s emotional music video for his hit song “Ghost,” directed by Colin Tilley. The project quickly went viral, with fans praising her chemistry with the pop star and her moving performance as a woman mourning a loved one. Keaton gushed about the experience on Instagram at the time, writing, “AM I DREAMING??? WHAT AN HONOR IT WAS TO WORK WITH JUSTIN BIEBER AND HIS INCREDIBLE TEAM!!!”

While a collaboration with Bieber might feel like it came out of left field, it’s not too surprising, as the Oscar winner was a well-documented pop music fan. Keaton was a fan of, among others, Rihanna and Ariana Grande, the latter of which she has expressed a desire to sing a duet with. In an Instagram video shared on September 1, 2021 Keaton recorded herself singing along to “Thank U, Next.” She began with a narration, saying, “Ariana Grande is just amazing so once in my life, just once in my stupid life, I want to sing along with the amazing Ariana Grande.”
