“You can’t erase history, can you?” Tull Stories has revealed the official UK trailer for a documentary film titled Still Pushing Pineapples, a fun road trip documentary from UK filmmaker Kim Hopkins. Set for release in the UK starting in November, the film is a follow-up to Hopkins’ 2022 doc film called A Bunch of Amateurs which was about one of the oldest amateur filmmaking clubs in the world. In this one, she follows the former pop star Dene Michael as he clings to the remnants of fame he once had as a member of 1980s novelty pop group Black Lace. Entertainment, working-class culture, human connection, and the power of pop align in this idiosyncratic, moving, funny and unmistakably British road movie that follows an aging pop star, his spirited 89-year-old mother, and his feisty girlfriend as they navigate love, family duty, and the relentless pursuit of one last chart success. The band’s universally known hit Agadoo – both beloved and hated by many, and the high or low point of any party – is what Dene’s best known for. Even still today. But does anyone care anymore? This looks more melancholic than entertaining but still might be a good watch.

What happens when you’ve created the worst hit song ever – at least according to the music press? What comes after fleeting fame, and what does it mean to grow old still chasing a dream? Kim Hopkins’ moving & funny follow up to her documentary A Bunch of Amateurs features former pop star Dene Michael as he clings to the remnants of fame he once had as a member of 1980s novelty pop group Black Lace. Still Pushing Pineapples follows Dene, his spirited 89-year-old mum Anne, and also his sassy girlfriend Hayley across Britain and the Costa del Sol in this unmistakably British road movie. En route they navigate love, family duty, and the relentless pursuit of one last chart success. But who needs an ’80s throwback in a loud pineapple shirt and oversized red specs, singing a tired earworm? Apparently, many do (doo doo). 🍍

Still Pushing Pineapples is a documentary film directed by British doc filmmaker Kim Hopkins, director of the other doc films Wanted, Folie à Deux: Madness Made of Two, Voices of the Sea, Cuban Dreams, and A Bunch of Amateurs previously. Produced by Margaréta Szabó. The film will premiere at Bradford’s 2025 UK City of Culture event next month. Tull Stories will debut Hopkins’ Still Pushing Pineapples doc in UK cinemas starting November 28th, 2025 this fall. No US release is set yet – stay tuned. Anyone interested?

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced their split after 27 years of marriage on September 15, 2023, but their separation “happened a while ago” and was not a surprise, according to Page Six. “Friends and family knew about it,” an insider told the outlet. They also added that the trouble in their marriage may have started even before Hugh returned to Broadway in The Music Man in February 2022.

“Deb wasn’t at rehearsals very much,” the source said before adding that she “was even spotted snoozing during some of them.” The insider also claimed there wasn’t a third partner involved and they had simply become “roommates.”

However, a separate source told the publication that despite their split, Hugh and Deborra “speak pretty regularly” and insisted that the pair “are always going to be friends and navigate this together. You just can’t be married for 27 years, share two kids and suddenly stop speaking.”

The report came less than a day after the former lovebirds announced their intention to divorce in a joint statement. “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Hugh and Deborra-Lee told People. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority,” they continued. “We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

Hugh and Deborra-Lee married in 1996 and share two adopted children, including Oscar and Ava. During their long marriage, Hugh would sometimes share love-filled posts about his now ex, especially on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. One of the last Instagram posts about Deborra-Lee he shared was in honor of their 27th wedding anniversary, which took place in Apr.

“I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!! I love you so much,” he wrote alongside a cozy smiling photo of the two of them. “Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart.”

Shortly after their split, Hugh was spotted holding hands with actress Sutton Foster during a night out in January 2025, as seen in photos shared by People. The actress also recently separated from her former spouse, Ted Griffin.

Five months later, Deborra-Lee officially filed for divorce from Hugh in May 2025, per Daily Mail. In a statement to the outlet, Deborra-Lee hinted at a “betrayal” without naming Hugh.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she said. “It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”

“You fools who live without meaning: kill each other, until just one remains.” Netflix has revealed their full official trailer for their awesome new Japanese action series called Last Samurai Standing, which is not a game show despite the title sounding like it might be. Based on the manga of the same name, it’s about a battle between nearly 300 samurai warriors in Kyoto back in the late 19th century. “One life, one point.” Shujiro enters a deadly game where points are earned for each kill. Who will be the last samurai standing in this sinister scheme? During the Meiji period, 292 warriors, including Shujiro Saga, gather at the Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto at nightfall, lured by the promise of a huge cash prize. Each given a wooden tag, they join a vicious game in which they must steal the tags of their fellow participants and reach Tokyo to win the prize money. Under the veil of night, the temple grounds are filled with unease and the presence of bloodthirsy warriors. When the signal is given to begin the game, the combatants launch into their relentless battle for survival. Let them fight! Starring Junichi Okada, Yumia Fujisaki, Kaya Kiyohara, Hiroshi Tamaki, Hideaki Itō, Gaku Hamada, Hiroshi Abe. This looks as badass as Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai and as entertaining as the recent Shogun series. Stylish and action-packed! I’ll definitely be watching when it’s out.

Donald Trump announced the gift without naming the donor, calling them “a friend” to him and “a great American citizen” who “loves the military and loves the country’ while speaking to reporters. Trump also noted that the donor is “a big supporter of [his]” but “doesn’t want publicity.” Shortly thereafter, The New York Times reported that the mystery donor was Timothy Mellon, who is a member of the famous banking family.

Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for a film titled simply Mango, a story about a mango farmer in Spain. This film is a Danish production, about a Danish woman, who goes to Spain, starring an Iraqi-Danish actor who’s playing a Danish man running this farm in Spain. Lærke, an ambitious hotel manager, is sent to Málaga (see Google Maps) to develop a hotel on Alex’s mango farm. Lærke’s daughter joins, expecting a rare holiday with her mother. Unexpected feelings arise between Lærke and Alex, forcing them both to make life-altering choices on what to do next. A romance story set in Spain about two people growing feelings for each other. Both mother and daughter “find what they’ve been craving in a farmer’s idyllic mango orchard.” Oooh la la. Starring Dar Salim as Alex & Josephine Park as Lærke, Josephine Chavarria Højbjerg as daughter Agnes, and Sara Jiménez as Paula. Most of all I just want to try some of this gorgeous-looking mango he’s growing. And that mangonade. She better stay with him on this farm and grow mangoes! Take a look below.

Lærke brings along her daughter, Agnes, who expects rare holiday time with her busy mother — or so she believes. As unexpected feelings start to bloom between Lærke & Alex, both are forced to make choices that will impact their careers, family ties, and ultimately, their hearts. Mango is directed by the Danish-Iranian filmmaker Mehdi Avaz, director of the movies While We Live, Collision, Toscana, A Beautiful Life, plus Børnene fra Sølvgade 1 & 2 previously. No, Alex does not have any children, but he and Kayla announced they were expecting their first baby together in 2025. Up until mid-October 2025, Kayla had been sharing Instagram photos of her growing baby bump and her supporting Alex as he and the Dodgers moved onto the World Series.

However, Alex went on hiatus right before the World Series began. The Dodgers wrote in a public statement, “It is with a heavy heart that we share that Alex Vesia is away from the team as he and his wife, Kayla, navigate a deeply personal family matter. The entire Dodgers organization is sending our thoughts to the Vesia family, and we will provide an update at a later date.”

The Dodgers’ manager, Dave Roberts, told reporters that the team was “anticipating” Alex being off the roster for the World Series “unless something unforeseen happens.”

“I think we exhausted a couple different options, but just considering obviously what he’s going through and baseball’s certainly on the backburner, so I just think that’s the right process that we as an organization [thought] was probably the best way to handle it,” Dave said, according to Dodgers Nation. “And to be quite honest, I don’t know a lot of what went into it.”

We featured the very first teaser for this back in 2024 – they’ve been developing it for years and it’s only now finishing up. The character of Prue was revealed in the first look – Prue McKeel (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) and her friend Curtis are drawn into a hidden, magical forest near Portland after Prue’s baby brother Mac is kidnapped by crows, led by a mysterious woman. The voice cast includes Jacob Tremblay as Curtis, Carey Mulligan, Awkwafina, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Charlie Day, Amandla Stenberg, Tom Waits, Jemaine Clement, & Richard E. Grant. This promo focuses on their famous stop-motion studio (based in Portland) figure out how to create the magical Golden Eagle character. They built 2 extraordinary puppets used in filming. “Meet The General, voiced by Angela Bassett, a fierce warrior and leader of the skies. Behind the scenes, the brilliant artists at Laika Studios are hand-crafting a character that soars beyond the screen through breathtaking stop-motion animation.” Can’t wait to see more. Wildwood – based on Colin Meloy’s illustrated book series – will see Prue McKeel leave behind her home of Portland, Oregon, venturing into Wildwood on a dark quest to save her baby brother, who’s been pilfered by a murder of crows. Wildwood is once again directed by filmmaker Travis Knight, who is also CEO of Laika, and director of the the movies Kubo and the Two Strings and Bumblebee previously. The screenplay is written by Chris Butler (ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link). Based on the graphic novel series written by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis. Produced by Arianne Sutner and Travis Knight. Made by Laika Entertainment’s animators based in Portland, Oregon. There’s no final release date for Wildwood yet – expected to arrive in early 2026. The multi-talented musician, actor, and filmmaker has turned his online fame into a full-blown Hollywood career, directing and starring in the Amazon Studios film Música. While working on the project, he met Riverdale alum Camila Mendes — and their connection quickly turned personal.

After more than two years together, the couple took the next step in their relationship with a romantic proposal on October 24, 2025. According to a source, per PEOPLE, it all happened during a surprise engagement party, where “Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends.” The celebration continued later that night at Glen Powell’s tracksuit-and-tequila-themed birthday party.

Mancuso initially built his following on Vine in early 2013, creating short, comedic sketches that blended music and culture. His transition to YouTube saw him amass millions of subscribers and billions of views.

Mancuso is a true multi-hyphenate — a self-taught musician who, as he told Billboard, “walked over to the piano when I was just about 5 and started playing.”

“I think it made sense to me,” he added.

He Directed and Starred in Música With Camila Mendes

In his feature-film debut, Mancuso wrote, directed, starred in, and composed the soundtrack for the coming-of-age story Música, which also features Mendes.

In a 2024 PEOPLE interview, Mancuso reflected on the creative connection that sparked between them while making the movie, saying, “It’s safe to say there was chemistry from the moment we met, and it certainly was visible onscreen.”

He’s of Brazilian and Italian Descent

Mancuso was born and raised in New Jersey, but spent part of his childhood in Rio de Janeiro—his mother is Brazilian and his father Italian-American. He is fluent in Portuguese.

He and Camila Mendes Made Their Red Carpet Debut in 2023

Mancuso and Mendes went public with their relationship on Valentine’s Day 2023 after meeting while filming Música. That same year, they began appearing together at major events, including their red carpet debut. During a January 2023 appearance on the Going Mental podcast, Mendes spoke about the early stages of their romance, saying she was still in the “honeymoon phase.” “I think I’m gonna keep it that way for now,” she shared about keeping things private. “Because the thing is, I love so hard when I love that I always want to show off my lover… I get so mushy gushy with that [stuff].”

“Let me guess – you’re an innocent man?” “Damn right, I am.” Cineverse has debuted an official trailer for a western film titled Cottonmouth, a gritty revenge thriller set back in 1895 in Oklahoma. This film is sort of a western re-imaging of the classic The Count of Monte Cristo story from Dumas, inspired by it, but also with its own clever twists in a classic western setting. In 1895 Oklahoma, love and loyalty turn deadly when a groom-to-be is betrayed, imprisoned, and reborn as an outlaw bent on revenge. When Ed Dantes is framed and condemned to the tortures of a territorial prison in 1895, he must learn the ways of the outlaw to escape and exact his revenge on Billy Dunn. Directed by Brock Harris, this rugged frontier saga of passion, power, and payback reminds us that every bullet carries the weight of a broken heart. Starring Martin Sensmeier as Ed, Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Sophia, Jonathan Sadowski, Eric Nelsen, Jonathan Lipnicki, with Ron Perlman and Esai Morales. Have to say – this looks way better than it should! Perhaps reusing this story and spinning it as as western was a good idea. Out on VOD in November – if anyone wants to catch it.

To make matters worse, the saloon is neighbored by the Dunn Inn, owned by Billy Dunn (Eric Nelsen). Dunn has his eyes set on Sophia and her mother’s saloon, too. Ed must learn the ways of the outlaw to enact his revenge. Cottonmouth is directed by American writer / filmmaker Brock Harris, director of the films Wild Game and Dance Dads previously, plus a few other short films. The screenplay is written by Jared Bonner and Brock Harris. Produced by Talia Bella and Randy Wayne. This initially premiered at the 2025 Mammoth Film Festival earlier this year. June Lockhart, one of television’s most beloved matriarchs, has died at the age of 100. According to her family, Lockhart passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Monica, California, on October 23, 2025, surrounded by her daughter June Elizabeth and granddaughter Christianna.

The Tony Award–winning actress was best known for her roles as Ruth Martin in Lassie and Maureen Robinson in Lost in Space, which made her a timeless symbol of warmth, wit, and grace. Following the news, tributes poured in from her former co-stars. Angela Cartwright, who played her daughter Penny on Lost in Space, wrote, “So smart, quick, and funny — she filled her 100 years with curiosity, laughter, and rock ’n’ roll.” Meanwhile, Lassie actor Jon Provost remembered her as “another movie and television icon,” adding in his statement, “June kept in touch all these years after Lassie. Love you, June — I’ll miss you a bunch.”

June Lockhart Made Her Stage Debut as a Child Actress

Born in New York City on June 25, 1925, to actor-parents Gene Lockhart and Kathleen Lockhart, she stepped on stage at age 8 in a production of Peter Ibbetson at the Metropolitan Opera. Only a few years later, she made her film debut in A Christmas Carol (1938), acting alongside her parents.

“I thought my parents were wonderful as the Cratchits, and it was just great fun to see how a film was made,” Lockhart said to the Ames Tribune in 2014. “I loved the Victorian costumes.”

She Starred as the Beloved TV Mom in Lassie

Lockhart joined Lassie in 1958, portraying Ruth Martin—the kind, dependable mother of Timmy Martin—for six years.

She Won a Tony Award Before Finding TV Fame

Lockhart won a Tony Award in 1948 for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer for her role in For Love or Money.

She Was Married Twice and Had Two Daughters

Lockhart’s personal life featured two marriages. She first married Dr. John F. Maloney in 1951 and they had two daughters, Anne Kathleen and June Elizabeth. They divorced in 1959. That same year she married architect John Lindsay; they later divorced in 1970.

She Earned Two Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Lockhart’s contribution to both film and television was honored by two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame—one for motion pictures and one for television.
