And yet Bad Bunny is arguably the most overtly political artist booked for the halftime spot. Martínez Ocasio has consistently used his music to speak out on a range of political and social issues, particularly those affecting Puerto Rico and other marginalized communities. His 2018 hit “Estamos Bien” became an anthem of resilience in the wake of Hurricane María, subtly addressing the U.S. government’s neglect of Puerto Rico during the crisis. In 2019, he released “Afilando los Cuchillos” alongside Residente and iLe, a diss track aimed at then-Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosselló after the leak of offensive Telegram chats. The song quickly became the unofficial soundtrack of the mass protests that ousted Rosselló, and Bad Bunny even paused his European tour to join demonstrators in the streets of Viejo San Juan. In 2020, amid the George Floyd protests and the global rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, he released “Compositor del Año,” a spoken-word piece that condemned anti-Black police violence and U.S. racial hypocrisy, stating: “A Black man with a gun is a criminal, but if he’s white, it’s a hobby.”
The best petite leggings in my closet are the ones I reach for the most. They never drag or scrunch at my ankles, and most importantly, I always feel confident wearing them. As a shopping editor, I’ve tested over a dozen activewear brands over the years and written about some of my favorite women’s leggings. And since I’m 5-feet-2, I frequently run into pairs that are way too long on my ankles, have too-long inseams, or feature awkward waistband lengths. So to help you find the most petite-friendly pairs, I tested options designed for shorter frames, like 7/8-length and capri leggings. I’m a pretty active person, so you can trust these pairs will really hold up on runs, through workout classes, or just while lounging at home.
The best petite leggings, at a glance
Lululemon Align No Line High-Ride Pants, 25”

Everyone needs a good pair of black leggings in their closet, and that’s what these Lululemon tights are for me. My fellow editors love their durability (it never pills or shrinks after multiple washes) and that famously soft, stretchy fabric. I picked this pair as the best option for petites overall because of the length and inseam options; you can get 23-, 25-, 28-, and 31-inch lengths, which is great for women of different heights. (The 23-inch size is the shortest I’ve seen compared to other brands.) I love that they’re versatile for any activity, whether it’s working out intensely or walking around my neighborhood. Dress this pair up for fall and winter with a puffer vest or a zip-up jacket for a sporty vibe—or go with a cropped trench coat and ballet flats for a more elevated look.
Pros: Soft, stretchy fabric; two unique petite crops available
Cons: Pricey
Athleta Elation Ultra-High-Rise Double Up Leggings
Original video by Jenifer Calle testing Athleta Elation Ultra High Rise Double Up Legging
I’ve recommended this pair of high-waisted leggings time and time again because they’re just that good. I’ve worn them for just about everything, from reformer Pilates classes to lounging at home. I particularly like them for hot Pilates mat classes because they don’t feel sticky, even after I’ve been moving for close to an hour. The design is firm in the all the right places, but I’m able to stretch and slip in and out of this pair without hassle. They’re comfortable enough for all-day wear, and I’m obsessed with the flattering high-rise fit. Athleta also offers regular and tall inseams, so you can get a more customized fit for your height.
Pros: Great for hot, sweaty workouts; flattering high rise; soft but supportive fabric
Cons: Some transparency
FP Movement Never Better 7/8-Length Leggings
Original video from Jenifer Calle testing Free People Never Better 7/8 Length Legging
Some leggings squeeze my gut too much, and you definitely don’t want that when you’re doing lunges or entering downward-facing dog. That’s why these FP Movement leggings are great for, well, movement. Plus, they’re some of the softest pairs of leggings I own. In addition to yoga classes, I recommend these leggings for nature walks, low-impact workouts like barre, and long-distance walks. The 7/8 length and the 24.5-inch inseam make these the perfect height for petite women. Plus, the unique colors are great for standing out at the gym or mixing into your capsule wardrobe; throw on an oversized hoodie or a denim jacket for an easy off-duty outfit.

In the midst of New York Fashion Week earlier this September, I found myself in a dollhouse. It was a life-sized installation at New York’s Academy Mansion with oversized everything, from tables to beds to makeup compacts, that made me feel as though I was some child’s Barbie lost uptown. The illusion was only made more real by the fact that everywhere I turned was a model dressed up like a doll, wearing Marc Jacob’s doll pumps and pieces from his 40th year anniversary collection of exaggerated proportions.
Together Jacobs and artist Anna Weyant transformed the landmarked space into a fashion fantasy for Capital One and Cultivist. There was no dress code to adhere to and yet everyone there seemed to be wearing a self-implimented uniform with exaggerated mascara, high heeled pumps, and cutesy clothing that wouldn’t feel out of place in a toy catalogue. It was then that it dawned on me that everyone is dressing like a doll right now, even those standing outside of the dollhouse.

First, there was Marc Jacobs’s Doll. He began to put models in doll-like dresses and accessories of exaggerated proportions for his first runway show of 2024. It has since become a running motif in every show he’s had since. Fashion editors and influencers and celebrities alike have all embraced the look, which feels apt given the chokehold the coquette aesthetic has had on popular culture since 2023. Dressing like a doll takes coquette one step further. It isn’t just enough to wear a ribbon in your hair to connect to your inner child. Instead you need to try and quite literally become the doll your younger self projected their visions of adulthood, and the fashion that would entail, onto.

I saw the doll theme emerge most prominently in New York at Sandy Liang, particularly in her lace white dresses that turned the model wearing it quite literally into a dollhouse, with small panels of patterned fabric made to look like windows you could peer through. And then in London, Ashley Williams had models wear colorful bouffants, tousled and over-accessorized and dyed like the Barbie dolls often saved and used for more creative experimentation (I believe they called such a doll “weird Barbie” in the Barbie movie). Simone Rocha too evoked a bit of childlike whimsy by having some models carry ruffled pillows, like supersized sleepy time dolls, wearing tiered ruffle dresses with oversized floral rosettes. To me even the energy at Prada felt paper doll-esque, with bright clothing that was ruffled and frenetically styled as if tossed on by a kid in a toy shop who has the freedom to believe anything and everything works together.

It’s been predicted for some time now that twee would have a comeback. The fashion look, which was popular from the mid-2000s to mid-2010s, was inspired in large part by a 1960s mod look. Most will remember it by its childish quirk. Twee made peter pan collars, owl necklaces, and knee-high stockings—most often paired with shorts—hot. The rise of doll-like dressing feels like the precursor to the twee takeover. Even at Dario Vitale’s first collection for Versace you could see the inspiration of twee in the long beaded necklaces. They are not quite the chandelier necklaces of the 2010s…but they come awfully close.

And I really believe before we know it it’ll feel like we’re all walking around a dollhouse as the look catches on in the next couple months. Thankfully, I’ve already invested in my Marc Jacobs doll pumps for this moment.
Libra, the month of October wants to empower your worth. It’s your birthday season until the 23rd, so you’re feeling yourself and everyone around you is too. Mars is already in Scorpio, Mercury joins it on the 6th, and the Sun follows on the 23rd, meaning your sector of money, value, self-esteem, and resources is lit up for most of the month. The Scorpio emphasis will make you extra aware of any energetic leaks — people, projects, or beliefs that drain rather than enrich you. This is a powerful time to revisit your relationship to earning, saving, and investing, especially if you’re ready to shift from scarcity into sustainability.
The Aries Full Moon on October 6 lights up your relationship sector, bringing clarity to a partnership dynamic. Whether it’s a green light to go deeper or a cosmic nudge to walk away, trust your gut. Venus, your planetary ruler, enters your sign on the 13th, and the Libra New Moon on the 21st is your annual reset. Think of this as a rebirth of self-love, magnetism, and confidence. You’re blooming… and you’re allowed to be seen.
Another highlight of the month is Pluto’s shift direct in Aquarius on October 13, which supercharges your joy sector, stimulating feelings of romance, creativity, play, and pleasure. A passion you once shelved may return with new life, or you may feel emboldened to pursue a relationship, hobby, or project that feels deeply soul-fed. Pluto’s been teaching you to follow your bliss unapologetically. You’re not here to live small, and this month you’re finally ready to prove it.
Our reviewer says: “Lately, a wash-and-go has been my primary hairstyle, as my curls just won’t behave in a twist-out during the humid months,” says Glamour senior visuals editor Lauren Brown. “That’s where the Pattern Curl Gel has been a real game changer for me. It’s great for a quick curl refresh in the shower after a couple days. Like all the hair-care products on this line, the fragrance is intoxicatingly fresh, like cucumbers in cocktail.”
Best for Fine Hair: Rizos Curls Light Hold Gel
- What we love: Lightweight, flexible hold; scrunches out easily; leaves curls soft
- Worth noting: For coarser curls, may want heavier gel
This lightweight gel defines curls without stiffness, keeping them touchable and bouncy while reducing frizz. Formulated with aloe vera, flaxseed, and thyme, it locks in shape and shine without parabens, silicones, or sulfates. Our tester with 3A curls found that it enhanced definition on wash day and kept frizzy hair at bay through day two without flaking or weighing it down. The cast scrunched out easily, leaving curls soft and natural-looking.
Our reviewer says: “I like how light this gel is on my fine curls. Other gels I’ve tried make them feel stiff and look greasy, even after I scrunch out the cast, but with this, my curls are very soft and bouncy. It’s pretty fragrantly perfumed, which I don’t love, but not so badly that I won’t keep using it after my leave-in and foam, then followed by a diffuser,” says Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs.
Best for Humidity: Bumble Curl Anti-Humidity Frizz Gel Oil
- What we love: Defines curls without crunch; resists humidity; thin, easy-to-distribute formula
- Worth noting: Can feel a little drying; fragrance is strong and sweet
This hybrid gel-oil smooths frizz while giving curls hold and definition that lasts. The clear formula is lightweight but substantial enough to create a cast that scrunches out softly, leaving hair touchable instead of stiff. Our tester with 3C curls found that the product shaped spirals beautifully and resisted humidity, though it left some dryness by the end of the day.
Our tester says: “The gel defined my 3C curls really well and gave me a great look, though I did notice some dryness as the day went on,” says Glamour reviewer Páton Hardy. “The fragrance across the line was strong but pleasant—fruity, sweet, and similar to a perfume I’d wear—so it wasn’t off-putting. The shampoo lathered up quickly and felt very slippery, while the conditioner was thicker and hydrating. The gel itself was see-through and thin, easy to apply without running everywhere, and it dried down without leaving my hair crunchy.”
Best for Definition: Aveda Be Curly Advanced Coil Definer Gel
- What we love: Strong definition; smooths frizz; adds bounce and shine
- Worth noting: Works best outside of extreme humidity; pair with with heavier-hold gel if you need extra staying power
Formulated for tighter curl patterns, this gel gives coils long-lasting definition and frizz protection without leaving them stiff. Coily hair—characterized by densely packed curls that are prone to dryness—often needs gels that balance moisture with enough hold to keep styles in place. With wheat-derived amino acids to smooth and strengthen strands and mango butter to nourish and hydrate, this formula helps coils stay soft, defined, and resilient.

Summer may be over (sad), but with fall’s arrival, it’s time to start thinking about cool-weather outfits. Yay! To help us make sense of the season ahead, we tapped the supremely stylish Sophie Jordan, the menswear buying director of Mytheresa. Here, she tells us which fall trends to consider, how she would style them, what you should buy to shake up your wardrobe for the months ahead, which classic pieces are worth investing in, and so much more.
Hi, Sophie! What are some of the big trends and ideas you saw in the fall collections that you’re picking up for the Mytheresa man?
Tailoring was for us. It’s a key story we see every season, but for fall 2025, it’s evolved with a more fashion-forward point of view. There were a lot of pinstripes for a strong sartorial take—a real 1980s, “Patrick Bateman in American Psycho” vibe. The Tom Ford runway is a key reference here and also Brioni tailoring, which they styled with striped shirts with contrast white collars and a pattered tie. It made for a really polished look.
We interpreted this as a “smartening up” or “making an effort” look. We also really considered the male customer who’s buying into this category for the first time. Maybe he’s buying into Auralee suiting, which was also styled with a shirt, tie, or even a knit. The result is super elegant but still cool.
What’s a new brand that the Mytheresa customer should have on their radar this season?
A.Presse is a new brand from Japan that we introduced for fall, and it’s already getting a fantastic reaction. The sweatshirts and jackets are already selling well. The fabrications are incredibly special ([everyone] mentions how lovely they are when you touch them), and the attention to detail and authenticity in their vision for the brand is very unusual to see. We’re so happy to be partnering with them.
Saman Amel is a personal favorite but also a brand that continues to grow for us season after season. Their modern approach to tailoring and wardrobing is really exciting. Their silk shirts and pants are best sellers alongside the linen they introduced for high summer. The trajectory of this brand—and how much more room they have to develop their vision—is truly exciting.
What brands and items are getting good traction so far this season?
The cotton blouson jacket is probably one of the biggest highlights of the season and is already shaping up to be one of our best-selling categories. They come in a range of fabrications, silhouettes, and colors, and brands ranging from Our Legacy to Prada to Auralee all made excellent versions.
Jacques Marie Mage eyewear’s growth is astounding: It’s grown triple digits over last year. The acetate frame, colored lenses, and signature detailing on the temples are the perfect antidote to the previous trend we had seen of smaller shapes and metal frames. The Row, too, is doing incredibly well. We continue to have sellouts of the classic Soft Loafer, and categories such as denim, jackets, and their basic tees all overperform. Our customer is learning and coming again and again to The Row for their “best version” of everyday items, such as a loafer, straight jeans, and the perfect tee.
Prada’s America’s Cup sneakers are an iconic sneaker shape that sees no letup in demand. Interestingly, Prada’s low-profile introduction of the Collapse in leather has also been selling briskly this season. It’s cool to see such a diverse aesthetic performing well across one brand and category.
How would you suggest styling these key pieces?
Fall 2025 is a season of layering, a focus on personalization, and embracing more texture and color. It’s all about the shirt and playing with it across smart and casual looks. Think layering add-ons, like a tie, in a more playful way or under a knit or fleece. It’s all about taking smaller details into account, which then add up to the bigger picture in the final outfit.
Say you’re open to mixing things up this season—what pieces should you buy? What pieces remain a safe investment?
If you want some change, consider making pants the focal point of your outfit. We’ve seen double-digit sales in pants so far this season as the customer shifts focus on this item and builds their outfit around them as a hero item. Think larger silhouettes and bold prints. Loewe is great for shape and volume, and Dries, as always, makes great seasonal patterns.
Cowboy boots are a micro-trend this season but also a confident update on a winter boot. RRL’s suede versions are an authentic, inspired style or Prada runway cowboy boots for a fashion-y edge. I think this will continue to grow as we head into the fall 2026 season.
As for safe investments, the leather jacket remains a timeless piece. The shapes may evolve slightly from season to season, but they will always come back around. This season, Bottega Veneta, The Row, Saint Laurent, and Tom Ford are all great brands to consider, as they have made beautifully crafted, thoughtfully designed versions.
Loafers, too, are always in style. The John Lobb Lopez is the absolute ultimate in quality and craftsmanship. The Row’s Soft Loafers are the perfect “dress up” or “dress down” shoes.

God’s True Cashmere
Plaid Cashmere Shirt With Sunstone
“God’s True Cashmere made the ultimate versions of a plaid shirt crafted from the softest, most pettable cashmere. Once you try one, you’ll be hooked. This one is part of our exclusive capsule, and I think the color combination is beautiful and just says fall to me. It’s an easy, versatile piece you can wear over and over this season.”
The Row
Ferro Wool-Blend Coat
“Every wardrobe needs a ‘go with anything’ overcoat, whether that’s over denim and a knit on the weekend or smart enough to throw over a suit, and the Ferro Coat from The Row is exactly that. The tie belt was a trend update for this season, but it’s still a timeless piece.”
Miu Miu
Fleece Half-Zip Sweater
“The half-zip fleece was a key trend this season, and [it’s] such an easy piece to incorporate into your existing wardrobe. There were a lot of excellent options this season, but you can’t beat this version from Miu Miu, which continues to be one of our hottest brands.”
