- What we love: Affordable; high-waist; made of 100% organic cotton that’s best for sensitive skin
- Worth noting: Leg elastic sometimes digs into skin; a bit “granny”; thick band
“I own a pack of these Hanes, and they’re the undies I reach for when I’m in need of full coverage,” says Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs. “They’re not the cutest underwear I own, but when I’m feeling particularly bleh, they’re high-waist, soft, and just what I want on my body. They’re the only ones I own that are made of pure 100% cotton—nothing else, and they’re so cheap that I keep a stack of them around.”
Schwartz and Glamour senior editor Jessica Radloff own them too. “I have really sensitive skin, and these cotton briefs are not just super comfortable, but they also don’t irritate the way other materials often do,” says Radloff. Schwartz notes that the band is quite thick, though, so if you prefer a pair that you can forget you’re wearing, this might not be the set for you. On the plus side, “they don’t shift around much while I sleep, and because of the high band, I do feel like I’m wearing tummy-control underwear,” she says. Plus, they’re made of organic cotton, which is free of dyes and chemicals that irritate the skin.
- Material: 100% organic cotton
- Cut: High-waist brief
- Sizes: 5–10
- Colors: 5+ that vary by pack
- Value: $2.67 each (6-pack)

As many of us begin to book in for our manicures this month (anyone else have their festive manicure on their to-do list for December?), I’ve been keeping my eye out for everyone’s nails right now for some nail trend inspo. With it being the festive season, it’s no surprise to see a lot of red manicures (a staple winter nail trend) doing the rounds. But there is one particular shade of red that has caught my attention this week. It’s not burgundy, not brown, but garnet nails.
Garnet Nails
Much like the namesake gemstone, garnet nails have a jewel-like quality that makes them glossy and precious. Unlike the bright tones of ruby, garnet has a rich red hue with brown undertones that make it suitably seasonal for a wintery manicure. I’m seeing it all over the hands of my beauty-editor peers at the moment, so I’m tipping it to be a huge nail colour for next year (we editors are always one step ahead with our manicures).
In need of some inspo to take to the salon? Scroll on for the chicest garnet nails I’ve saved, as well as the best nail polishes to achieve garnet nails at home.
Garnet Manicure Ideas
This colour looks particularly chic on short nails. The squoval nail shape makes them feel even more jewel-like and precious.
I love this garnet manicure, which is so deep with red and brown tones that it almost looks black. So chic.
Just look at how expensive-looking this shade is.
Garnet nails paired with chrome are a great Christmas nail choice.
Note the brown undertones that make this nail colour look rich and expensive.

Now in her third year at the helm of Hervé Léger, Michelle Ochs is on a mission to bring the brand into the modern age. It’s a tall order: how does one modernize something as singular as the bandage dress, something so associated with the aughts, while still propelling the brand forward? “I want to say, ‘Not your mother’s Hervé,’” she said. “But still the bandage dress.”
This season, Ochs is experimenting with house codes, pushing the limits of how far the bandage will go. Take, for instance, her interpretation of a black midi dress. The bias-cut satin and draped cowl neck is a far cry from the bodycon bandage dresses that Kim Kardashian wore to the clubs, but a band of fabric across the collarbone connecting the spaghetti straps stands in for the signature bandage. An even more extreme departure: a drapey, asymmetrical bubblegum pink dress, whose fitted, ruched waistline mimics the bandage motif. “What I love playing on with this collection [is] the ability now to give her some movement and to have people think of us for more than just that,” Ochs said. “You’re going to get the sensibility and aesthetic of Hervé, [but] everything doesn’t have to be bandage.”
Even with these experimentations, the awooga sex appeal of the naughties is at the forefront of the collection: a red-hot halter, a white minidress with a cleavage-baring mesh insert, and a teal maxi with perforated seams fulfill the bandage dress brief. Still, there are more faithful interpretations that manage to step outside of the classic, waist-snatching, boob-lifting Hervé Léger paradigm. Lace is a common motif in the pre-fall lineup, with Ochs presenting it in horizontal layers like a bandage dress. “This was a technique that we found in the archives, something that we really loved,” she said.
While Hervé Léger has cornered its market, Ochs’s slow-but-steady expansion begs the question: how does a brand known for one thing break out of its confines? “Quality is king…” she said, before correcting herself, “…queen.” “The look can be duplicated, but it can’t be replicated. An Hervé Léger, you know when you have it on.”

It’s peak sweater weather—time to break out the best cashmere sweaters! From Thanksgiving to about halfway through spring, it’s a required activity to bundle up on the couch, hot cocoa in hand, swaddled in a supersoft knit. Each year, cashmere transcends the trend cycle as a winter wardrobe essential. And knowing that closet space can be tight this time of year—coats and cardigans take up so much room—you’ll want to prioritize the stuff. The luxurious feel, serious warmth, and elevated look of these sweaters put them at the top of the pile.
As we gear up for winter, we suggest starting simple, whether it’s with a classic chunky crewneck or an oversized turtleneck that acts as the ultimate layering piece. And unlike what you’ve heard before, you don’t always have to break the bank to get your hands on the luxe material; these days, there are plenty of budget-friendly finds that don’t compromise on quality. As you lock in for cozy season, these are the best cashmere sweaters to wear all season long—each one a staple that makes even the most simple outfits feel elevated.
The best cashmere sweaters for women, at a glance
Best crewneck cashmere sweaters
Cashmere crewnecks are the ultimate foundational pieces. Luckily, the classic silhouette boasts an endless array of high-quality fabrications that are sturdy and plush, lasting years (or even decades) with proper care. We’re fans of luxury treats from Khaite and Ralph Lauren, but there are plenty of high-low favorites in the mix, too—Quince, Naadam, and Uniqlo pull through in the $100-and-under category. J.Crew’s well-made option, meanwhile, is a longtime favorite among fashion insiders. Style your cashmere crewneck with a collared button-down or white T-shirt peeking out, plus baggy jeans and your favorite boots.

Best cashmere cardigans
Contrary to the style’s granny-coded reputation, cashmere cardigans are very much en vogue. But beyond that, we’d suggest that they’re perhaps the most versatile winter piece you can own; they are primed to be thrown on at the last minute to upgrade even the most dire of outfit dilemmas. When your look is feeling a little bland, a colorful cardi instantly layered in or tied around the waist transforms it into something special. And worried a leather jacket isn’t quite warm enough on its own? A thin cardigan underneath will work wonders.

For a preppy, polished vibe, you can layer your V-neck over a crisp button-down shirt, or leave it bare underneath and accessorize with stacked jewelry to emphasize the neckline.

Whenever I get asked what my signature look is, the answer is easy: I am all about winged eyeliner. It’s my go-to when I’m doing my own makeup and when I’m working with clients like Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Kris Jenner, and Alix Earle. I love a winged look because it can be tailored based on eye shape and personal style. Subtle flicks, smudged-out wings, strong and bold lines—the options are endless! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or picking up a liquid eyeliner for the first time, here are my five foolproof tips for mastering a flawless winged-eyeliner look.
Here are a few winged eyeliner looks I’ve created for my celeb clients. They range from soft and subtle to bold and smoky. I love how versatile winged liner is!
1. Prep the Eye Area
Before I ever even reach for an eyeliner, I start with eye prep. Make no mistake. It’s just as important as skin prep! (Here’s my expert guide to all things eyecare.) I always start by cleansing the eye area with a dedicated eye wash or wipe to create a blank canvas. Once your eye area is clean and prepped for makeup, you can apply any eye shadow you like. Then, it’s on to eyeliner.
2. Create a Customized Guide
I recommend creating a guide to work off of when creating a winged-liner look. First, let the outer corner of your brow dictate how high you should angle your liner. Imagine the eyeliner reaching up to meet the end of the brow. How long you make the line is up to you!
Next, if you’re just getting started with winged liner, I recommend applying a matte black or brown eye shadow as an outline. Doing this gives you more control and creates a template for where to apply your liquid or gel liner.
Once you have your guide, you can go in using a liquid or gel liner. Hold the pen or brush flat and at an angle, slowly dragging it along the outer corner of your lash line. Keeping the brush tight to the lash line will help you elongate your line.
3. Take Your Time (Winged Liner Is Never Rushed!)
A flawless winged-liner look requires patience, so take your time and go slowly. Tilt your head back and line along the lash line using short, featherlike strokes until all of them are connected. You’re basically pressing the liner on and slowly gliding it across. Trust me—patience is the key to precision!
Bonus Tip: If you have hooded eyes, look straight into your mirror, and never close your eyes while applying your liner. This will create the right winged shape and ensure the eyeliner is visible when your eyes are open.
4. Sharpen Up the Shape
Once you’ve completed your wing, you can clean up any smudges using a clean angled liner brush and a makeup wipe. Use the wipe to wet the brush, and go in and clean up your line using the brush. Make sure to clean the brush on the wipe as you go to prevent any smudging.
5. Perfect It With Concealer
Last but not least, make your winged eyeliner look extra sharp by taking an angled brush and applying concealer by stamping or sweeping it under the wing. This is the final step in creating a flawless, professional-looking wing!
Armarium’s pre-fall collection grew out of the evolving needs of its designer Giorgia Gabriele—needs that, in many ways, reflect those of every woman. “I don’t like the idea of having a daytime wardrobe and an evening wardrobe, where the most special pieces end up hanging in the closet after being worn only once,” she said. Her goal is to bring continuity to Armarium’s aesthetic, moving away from rigid tailoring and designing each piece with a sense of truly versatile wearability.
“The woman I have in mind is very aware of who she is, but she doesn’t need extreme pieces to express herself,” the designer explained. In her vision, every stylistic choice has a purpose. That’s why trains are the keys to this collection. They appear throughout outerwear, knitwear, and shirting, highlighting the more distinctive side of each piece while blurring traditional boundaries between functions. On utilitarian jackets and shirts, the train can be reimagined as a draped shawl or a cape that shifts the garment’s proportions via two small buttons and a slit. On denim, the train can be transformed into a skirt worn over jeans or into a top, while on dresses and sweaters it becomes a scarf that rests lightly on the shoulders.
Clean, rational lines remain central to Armarium’s identity, though here they take on a softer, more fluid and dynamic character. Slits are another recurring theme, appearing on blazers, coats, dresses, and skirts. Textures add movement and a touch of boldness: pony hair and glossy leather play against more traditionally masculine fabrics. Among the new elements, accessories reinforce the idea of versatility—from the refined structure of the Nour cap to the effortless ease of the Eterna bag, offered in both city and weekend versions.
