Selena Gomez’s ‘Blush Jelly Chrome’ Nails Are More Festive Than Any Glitter Mani

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Between the shape, the dreamy hue, and the hint of metallic shine, Selena Gomez’s “blush jelly chrome” nails are definitely going on our list of potential New Year’s Eve manis.

Gomez’s nail artist, Tom Bachik, revealed on Instagram the exact products he used to create the look. He started by prepping the actor’s cuticles and followed up with Olive and June’s nail strengthener. The polish itself is Olive and June’s Builder Gel Color in the shade “blush jelly,” which he locked in with the brand’s Gel Polish Top Coat. Finally, to achieve that chrome finish, Bachik added one layer of Cosmic Chrome in “Aurora” from his own line and one last layer of the Gel Polish Top Coat. Et voila.

Gomez’s nails echoed her head-to-toe satin minidress, shawl, and shoes, a custom creation by Danielle Frankel that was styled by Erin Walsh. Even her glam, by makeup artist Soo Park, centered around this rose color, including a barely-there nude lip with just a hint of rosy pink color peeking through.

Regardless of how you feel about pink, you’ve got to respect this level of commitment to color and shine.

The Best Minimalist Glasses, According to a Fashion Editor

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

The trend for minimalism is not only going strong. It’s coming for every part of your closet. From bags to shoes, sleek and pared-back designs are classic mainstays that never go out of style. The latest way it’s cropping up is right on our faces—in the form of streamlined, no-frame or wire-frame eyewear.

These styles are “an evolution of the quiet luxury wave,” said Cristina Calciati, who works in trends and foresight at the eyewear company EssilorLuxottica, which owns brands like Ray-Ban and Persol. “[It’s] a minimal, understated, and hyperwearable look that doesn’t sacrifice details.”

“This trend lives and breathes in a bigger scenario of very nostalgic comebacks mostly rooted in the ’90s and Y2K, especially as younger Gen Z, in particular, rediscovers those eras,” added Sofia-Marie Best, who also works at the company.

Indeed, this look easily recalls that era, and futuristic-chic, modernist brands like Prada and Armani leaned heavily into elegantly understated eyewear designs. Giorgio Armani was especially fond of them, and his recent passing may spur a new interest in them.

The trend easily crosses the gender divide, as evidenced by the excitement around the demure wire-rimmed eyewear Jonathan Bailey sports in the latest Jurassic Park film. Bailey cheekily called them “slutty little glasses” on the red carpet and later banked on that phrase’s virality by releasing a pair with the eyewear brand Cubitts, which benefited LGBTQ+ causes.

Funnily, Bailey hits on a fascinating tension that these styles possess: They’re both sexy and slightly nerdy. They often conjure images of librarians and studious pupils, but there’s a frisson of flirtation to them as well.

The other night, I happened to bump into a friend of mine—Renatto Balladares, a concept designer at Gap—and he was wearing a pair. “It’s a streamlined, sophisticated look,” he told me. “But it has to be authentic. It can’t be, like, ‘office siren.'”

“Plus,” he added, “it’s good for hiding bags under your eyes.”

The trend is a response to oversize, statement-making wraparound shades (think Charli XCX’s Brat summer shades), but it also exists at the same time as them. “While many consumers are into big and bold plastic frames—a style that really ruled the market for many years—others are now more drawn toward minimalism and lightness,” said Calciati.

“On top of that, the no-frame constructions are perfect to enhance tinted lenses—another big trend of the moment exploding for men,” added Best.

When you’re thinking about that finishing touch to your fall and winter outfits, barely-there eyewear just may be the perfect thing.

The Rare Protein Breakfast That’s Also Sweet—and Nutritionist-Approved

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

When the craving for something sweet arrives, it’s tempting to reach for ultra-processed options. However, there’s an alternative you might not have considered—one that’s simple, filled with protein, and designed to satisfy cravings. Best of all, it’s nutritionist-approved and works well as a snack, dessert, and breakfast, too.

“Baked oatmeal is a very easy and practical recipe,” explains nutritionist Laura Parada of her go-to sweet treat, which you can easily make yourself. “It’s very complete at a nutritional level, since its ingredients provide us a balance of the three main macronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fats.”

The benefits of baked oatmeal

Beyond its simplicity, Parada’s baked oatmeal recipe focuses on ingredients with real health benefits. “By combining apple and oats, the recipe provides both types of fiber—soluble and insoluble—that help regulate blood glucose levels and keep them stable for longer,” she notes. “Also, fiber promotes intestinal health and helps keep us satiated.”

A generous amount of cacao in the form of dark chocolate adds the anti-inflammatory power of antioxidants and polyphenols, while the addition of eggs and nut butter amps up the protein content to benefit muscle mass, tissue repair, satiety, and energy. It also does not contain refined sugars: “The sweetness comes from the apple and cinnamon, which give it an extraordinary balance,” Parada explains.

You can certainly eat it on its own, but Parada recommends trying it with unsweetened Greek yogurt, ground flaxseed, and berries “to further enhance its nutritional value and flavor.” Alternatively, pack into a sandwich bag or tupperware, for effortless noshing on-the-go. “It’s a complete meal or snack that does not require a ton of fuss,” she says.

Baked oatmeal recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1 grated apple (with skin)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 oz chopped dark chocolate

Preparation:

In a bowl, add the egg, nut butter, and cinnamon. Mix until the ingredients are well integrated. Mix in oat flakes and baking powder. Add the grated apple, mix well, and add half of the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Pour the mixture into a small baking pan lined with baking paper and spread the other half of the chopped dark chocolate on top. Bake at 350 °F for about 30 minutes, or until the surface is golden brown and the inside is firm to the touch.

Carolina K & Helena Christensen’s Fall 2025 Capsule

Launched on October 24, Mamacita draws inspiration from both Carolina Kleinman, the Bolivian-Argentine designer who founded Carolina K in 2005, and Christensen, the Peruvian-Danish supermodel, as well as from the South American mothers who shaped them. In fact, the collaboration became a deeply personal creative journey when Christensen returned to her mother’s hometown of Lima, Peru, after decades away. She brought her mother, Elsa, along, and together they reconnected with family while visiting historic neighborhoods and art galleries from their past.

Paige Bueckers Will Reportedly Star in a Movie About a Women’s Basketball Rivalry

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Paige Bueckers’ off-season is heating up—and we’re not just talking about the WNBA superstar’s upcoming debut in Unrivaled, the player-owned three-on-three league based in Miami.

On October 29, Deadline reported that the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year is set to star in Jess & Pearl, a sports movie developed by Apple Original Films. Though Apple did not comment on the report, Deadline’s sources claim the project is “set in the world of women’s basketball” and based off an original idea by Scandal writer and producer Zahir McGhee. Bueckers will reportedly serve as an executive producer as well.

Here’s everything we know about Paige Bueckers’ upcoming Hollywood debut.

The WNBA Needs Every One of These Faces

As the internet argued over the “face of the league,” the women of the WNBA were coming together to fight for fair pay and a say in their future. These five athletes—and 2025 Glamour Women of the Year—represent the real draw of the WNBA: its players.

What is Jess & Pearl?

So far, all we have is this brief description provided by Deadline: “Set in the world of women’s basketball, the film follows two phenoms who forge an extraordinary bond as teammates until fame, competition, and the ruthless business of college athletics threaten to turn their friendship into an epic rivalry.”

When is Jess & Pearl coming out?

So far, no release date has been set or announced.

Who is involved behind-the-scenes?

UConn alum and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers will reportedly serve as an executive producer, while David Bernad (The White Lotus) has reportedly signed on to produce the project through his company, Middle Child Pictures. Lindsay Kagawa Colas, who recently served as executive producer on a documentary about WNBA legend Sue Bird, is allegedly on board to produce alongside producer Tommy Alter.

Who else is in the cast?

So far, no other names have been released, but I’m personally pulling for Bueckers’ fellow WNBA superstar Angel Reese, who recently made her own feature film debut in A House of Dynamite on Netflix. You know, right before she made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway debut as the first pro-athlete Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Though she only had a small role in the film, Reese told People she plans to continue acting and even hire an acting coach. “I was talking to Common—he’s overseas right now shooting season 2 of Silo—and he was telling me, ‘You got to hire an acting coach,” she said at A House of Dynamite’s New York Film Festival premiere on September 28. “I model already, so it’s like adding to the résumé. I’m young right now, so I’m going to do it while I’m young.”

Your Guide to Buying the Best Diamond Earrings in 2025

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Diamonds really are supposed to be forever, so it’s important that you get your purchase right once you’ve made the decision to invest. Diamond necklaces are beautiful but can fall foul to trends easily, diamond rings are obviously special but tend to come with romantic connotations. Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with a pair of diamond earrings—whether you’re looking to treat yourself (do you really need an excuse?), or someone else (talk about a dream gift). It’s giving timeless. It’s giving chic. It’s giving elegance. Who wouldn’t want a slice of that pie?

It’s not quite that simple, though. Because under the umbrella of ‘diamond earrings’ there’s so many different types to choose from—do you go for everyday hoops or showstopping drops? Timeless studs or modern cuffs? There’s lab-grown or standard stones to opt for, and colourful or clear? Not to mention all the different brands, from more affordable to uber-luxury names, vying for your hard-earned cash.

Take a breather. Luckily, I’m here to help. Our job as editors is to do the hard work for you and make those big decisions seem a lot easier. Meaning I’ve spent hours and hours scrolling through the websites of the best jewellery brands, and have used my expertise as a stylist of over twelve years to pull out the diamond earrings that are truly worth the investment in 2025.

So, whether this is your first ever purchase of diamond earrings and you want to get it right, or you’re a quiet connoisseur looking for the chicest new pieces to add to your (or their) collection right now, keep scrolling for 36 of the best diamond earrings to buy right now.

How to Talk About Sustainability Across the Political Divide

How to Talk About Sustainability Across the Political Divide

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Earlier this year, two months into the second Trump administration, federal agencies in the US circulated an internal list of nearly 200 words that would be limited or avoided in the government’s clampdown on so-called “woke initiatives”, according to documents seen by The New York Times.

Among those words were: climate crisis, climate science, clean energy and pollution. Among the even more concerning broad sweeps: inequality, diversity, race and ethnicity, gender, women, men, disability, victim, bias, activists, and political.

While the words were not banned outright, the list sent shockwaves through the US. It also sent a message: for fashion brands with a sustainability focus, communicating their efforts across the political divide was about to get a whole lot harder.

In the time since, many have retreated; not just in fashion, but across industries. Major banks pulled out of the Net Zero Banking Alliance after Trump’s re-election, causing the programme to close down. In May, the US Plastics Pact also saw a mass exodus of its members: 25% of those from food and beverage businesses and 12.5% from consumer retail, per Harvard Business Review. And the sweeping cuts to USAID mean that non-profit initiatives from garment worker trade unions to refugee support and life-saving food programmes have also been forced to pull back.

At the Textile Exchange conference in Lisbon earlier this month, Jonathan Hall, managing partner of the Sustainable Transformation Practice at marketing data and analytics company Kantar, estimated that 12% of companies have deprioritized climate action in the past 12 months, while 73% remained neutral and 12% doubled down.

New York womenswear designer Maria McManus says she has noticed a shift in “more cynical” circles, where she is more likely to be met with “a lack of interest or a glazed eye” now. It’s made her more committed. “It’s a shame the current administration is not on board, but the sustainability movement is moving ahead with or without them,” she says.

Your November 2025 Horoscope Is Here

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

From November 4 onward, things get feistier, as Mars enters Sagittarius, your zone of adventure, long-term vision, and personal expansion. Suddenly, all those emotional lessons you’ve been processing don’t feel quite so heavy — they feel like motivation. You might feel a deep pull to book that trip, apply to a course, publish your writing, or finally say the thing you’ve been holding back. But heads up: Mercury will be retrograde in this same part of your chart starting November 9, so while you should dream big and speak freely, double-check all logistics, contracts, and travel details. This retrograde may delay or reroute your plans, but not to block you. It’s to help you clarify your “why.” And once Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio on November 18, you’ll get one last chance to rewire your mindset around fear, power, and desire before moving forward with more clarity and strength.

The month ends on an upward note, as Sagittarius Season begins November 21, and Mercury Retrograde wraps up by November 29. You may feel like a fog is lifting, and suddenly the big picture makes sense again. Venus joins Sagittarius on November 30, sprinkling blessings over your long-term goals, education, and spiritual path. You’re not the same Aries you were at the start of the month; you’re deeper, wiser, and more attuned to what motivates you from the inside out. You didn’t just rise from the ashes. You studied the fire, danced with it, and now you’re ready to use it to light up the next chapter of your life.
