10 Designer Hair Perfumes That Make You Smell so Expensive

Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540 currently costs a cool $355, but I can douse myself in the sweet, woody-amber situation for $95. The same goes for Parfums de Marly’s Delina, a delicate floral and known compliment magnet—tagged at $410, but I’ve hit the jackpot with a $97 bottle. No, I don’t have access to some secret sale or fancy underground fragrance market. (Hit me up, though, if you do!) I’ve simply discovered the ultimate cheat code for smelling expensive: designer hair perfumes.

Okay, technically speaking, a hair perfume won’t look exactly like its eau de parfum counterpart. The juice tends to be less concentrated (not as much fragrance oil) and packaged in more utilitarian bottles you can easily spritz with abandon—though, many luxury options do honor the brand’s original gorgeous designs. That said, the notes are the same, and so is the effect (read: “You smell incredible!” compliments from coworkers, friends, and strangers). I tend to spray eau de parfums directly on my strands anyway—a hack French women swear by for scent longevity—so swapping it out with a proper hair mist just makes sense. And the thought of smelling just as delightful without making my wallet cry? Score!

See below for my favorite designer hair perfumes—from Dior J’Adore to YSL Libre to the iconic Baccarat Rouge—and feel free to gatekeep our little secret.

My 10 Favorite Luxury Hair Perfumes

Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Hair Mist

Maison Francis Kurkdjian

Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Hair Mist

Key notes: Jasmine, saffron, cedarwood, ambergris accord

Eau de Parfum price: $355

I have to start with Baccarat Rouge, don’t I? The opulent warm, ambery blend has been duped a thousand times over, but the ultimate hack has to be this here hair perfume. For $95 (that’s $260 less than the eau de parfum, ICYWW), you’ll get the same floral-woody composition of jasmine, saffron, ambergris, and cedarwood housed in a stunningly similar square bottle with frosted glass. If you have yet to try the TikTok-viral sensation, I highly suggest testing the waters with its hair-perfume double—one of the best!

Libre Hair Mist

Yves Saint Laurent

Libre Hair Mist

Key notes: Lavender, orange blossom, musk accord

Eau de Parfum price: $145

Anything that makes me smell like Dua Lipa (the face of the fragrance) has an instant spot on my vanity. The trio of French lavender, Moroccan orange blossom, and musk accord has a soft yet warm and sensual presence that just makes you smell like heaven. I’d say it’s effortlessly cool energy in a bottle, and its hair mist version has even more of a laissez-faire vibe. Think cool girl on vacation—very Lipa coded.

Carnal Flower Hair Mist

Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle

Carnal Flower Hair Mist

Key notes: Melon, tuberose, white musk, milky notes

Eau de Parfum price: $470

So I have this thing with tuberose. The timeless scent makes me feel instantly elegant, yet it has a deep, mysterious quality that makes any perfume smell a touch more seductive. Carnal Flower is one of my favorite tuberose-infused potions to date. It’s creamy, feminine, and just plain sexy, lingering on my strands like a caress. The $250 price tag is on the spendier side, but when you compare it to the eau de parfum’s full $470 price, it definitely feels like a steal.

Delina Hair Mist

Parfums de Marly

Delina Hair Mist

Key notes: Bergamot, nutmeg, rhubarb, lychee, Turkish rose, vetiver, incense, cedarwood, vanilla, cashmeran, musk

Eau de Parfum price: $410

I own just about every version of Delina you can find. Travel size? Yep. Exclusif? Of course. The hair perfume was a no-brainer addition, especially because I can easily toss its compact, durable bottle into my workbag or carry-on. Delina is one of those perfumes that just make you smell pretty. Once you catch a whiff, you’ll crave nothing else but a dreamy cloud of bergamot, rhubarb, rose, and vanilla.

Hair Rituel Le Parfum

Sisley Paris

Hair Rituel Le Parfum

Key notes: Lemon, verbena, lavender, mimosa flower, woody amber

Eau de Parfum price: N/A

I wore Sisley’s first standalone fragrance for an entire month and was collecting compliments left and right. Seriously, people couldn’t stop commenting on how fresh and clean I smelled, and all it took was a few (okay, fine, seven) spritzes of the scent synonymous with the French brand’s best-selling hair products. I swear it makes me smell like I received a fresh blowout from an exquisite salon in Paris. My fiancé agrees, as he makes a point to mention how good I smell whenever I wear it.

Hermès, Barénia Perfumed Hair Mist

Hermès

Barénia Perfumed Hair Mist

Key notes: Butterfly lily, miracle berry, oakwood, patchouli

Eau de Parfum price: $182

Effortless elegance—that’s Barénia to a T. It’s part of the chypre family, which means it’s a scent that is fresh, floral, and woody all at once. Not to play favorites, but I’d consider chypres to be the coolest olfactory category; you can’t quite figure them out, which only adds to their intrigue. The mysterious, sophisticated fragrance will normally set you back $182, so the $63 hair perfume feels like such a win. Trust, its cool, chypre quality makes its presence known with each nonchalant hair fluff.

J'adore Hair Mist

Key notes: Ylang ylang, Damascus rose, jasmine

Eau de Parfum price: $115

The iconic fruity-floral instantly transports me to the immaculately manicured gardens at Versailles. Solar ylang-ylang adds a warm creaminess to the blend that makes me crave a sunny vacation, but it’s subtle enough so the fragrance remains soft and refined. It also has impressive longevity despite having a lower concentration of fragrance oil than an eau de parfum; reviewers agree, noting its ability to “really stay in your hair.”

Guidance Hair Perfume

AMOUAGE

Guidance Hair Perfume

Key notes: Pear, frankincense, hazelnut, saffron, rose, sambac Jasmine, osmanthus, cistus, sandalwood, akigalawood, ambergris, vanilla

Eau de Parfum price: $395

Oh my god, I would bathe in Amouage Guidance if I could. The award-winning sweet yet elegant blend earns me no less than three compliments every time I wear it (no exaggeration), and it’s one of the longest-lasting fragrances I own. That said, it does physically pain me to shell out $395 for a bottle, so this hair perfume for less than half the price is my number one life hack. For those who think Guidance comes on a little too strong (it’s definitely a beast-mode scent), I also implore you to give the lighter hair mist a spritz.

Eau Rose Hair Mist

Diptyque

Eau Rose Hair Mist

Key notes: Rose damascena, rose centifolia, lychee, ambroxan

Eau de Parfum price: $255

Eau Rose is the rose perfume that changed my mind about rose perfumes. Fresh, spicy, and vibrant, it’s far from the powdery concoctions you might associate with the classic floral. It makes my hair smell downright heavenly, and it enhances shine too since it comes infused with nourishing camellia oil. And because it’s on the lighter side, I can wear other perfumes on my pulse points without overwhelming my senses.

Coco Mademoiselle Hair Perfume

CHANEL

Coco Mademoiselle Hair Perfume

Key notes: Patchouli, vetiver, orange, jasmine, rose

Eau de Parfum price: $110

Name something chicer than a Chanel hair perfume. I’ll wait! The sparkling, vibrant blend evokes a young Coco Chanel, and the formula features a non-drying emollient to simultaneously smooth strands with every spritz. The shine is real, and it (plus the gorgeous scent) lasts all day long.

The Miss Universe Walkout Controversy, Explained

The Miss Universe Walkout Controversy, Explained

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Hold up. What is going on with the Miss Universe pageant? There was some sort of walkout? Because a man was being disrespectful to one of the contestants? Creating a genuine girl power moment that was captured on video? Consider us sat.

Let’s get into the Miss Universe pageant walkout, explained.

What happened?

In the now viral video, which you can still see on the Miss Universe Thailand Facebook page, Thai pageant director Nawat Itsaragrisil lectures the contestants on the importance of promoting the host nation, Thailand. He specifically calls out Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, by name, and accuses her of refusing to participate in a group photo shoot, which was to be posted on social media.

“You don’t like to post everything because your director from Mexico ordered you to not pay any attention, to post about the host country? If you follow the orders from your national director, you are a dumb,” Itsaragrisil said, per The Independent. When Bosch tried to respond, Itsaragrisil quickly shut her down, saying, “I didn’t hear you asking to talk.”

Bosch protested that she has “a voice” and said that Itsaragrisil was not “respecting me as a woman.” In response, Itsaragrisil called for security to remove Bosch. At this point, the other contestants can be heard gasping in surprise. Many of them, including 2024 Miss Universe winner Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, walked out with Bosch in protest.

Who is Nawat Itsaragrisil?

Itsaragrisil is a popular Thai media personality as well as the national director of Miss Universe Thailand and an executive of the Miss Universe Organization. He is also the owner of the Miss Grand International pageant.

As is usually the case with these sorts of things, this is not the first time Itsaragrisil has come under fire for his comments and treatment of women. For one thing, he has a history of body-shaming contestants.

In 2016 it was reported that Itsaragrisil body-shamed then Miss Iceland, Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir. “Stop eating breakfast, eat just salad for lunch, and drink water every evening until the contest,” he told her. Just this past May he reportedly body-shamed Miss Grand International winner Rachel Gupta, causing more widespread backlash.

Who is Fátima Bosch?

Bosch won the Miss Universe Mexico title back in September, representing the Tabasco region, where she was born, per Excelsior.

How I Shop: Corey Fogelmanis

We all buy clothes, but no two people shop the same. It can be a social experience, and a deeply personal one; at times, it can be impulsive and entertaining, at others, purpose-driven, a chore. Where do you shop? When do you shop? How do you decide what you need, how much to spend and what’s …

J.Law Wore the Black Miniskirt Outfit Worth Ditching Jeans For

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Take it from someone who wears jeans at least four times a week—even the most devoted denim lovers can fatigue on the classic bottoms now and then, especially in the fall, when they become especially easy to grab for. Whenever that happens, and I suddenly cannot fathom the thought of pulling on another pair of jeans, there’s one solution that works every time. Swap out your denim for a black miniskirt, and if you don’t want to take my word for it, take the word of Jennifer Lawrence, who just wore the chicest black miniskirt outfit in New York City. She was just caught red-handed ditching the jeans component of a classic jeans-and-tee outfit and swapping it out for a black miniskirt. Voilà! A perfect combination is crafted—no denim in sight.

The trick that makes this switch work is finding a skirt that’s not too short. Micro-minis aren’t a denim alternative; they’re for fun nights out, not easy, everyday dressing. In a perfect world, your miniskirt will hit right above the knees, making it appropriate for any occasion but still subtly dressy and put-together. Lawrence went with one from Lii’s spring/summer 2026 collection, pairing it with the matching top from the show, a boxy white tee. She then added Givenchy peep-toe heels, dangly earrings from Sophie Buhai, and oval-shaped sunnies.

Sure, you could wait for her exact look to be released in 2026, but if you’re feeling the denim fatigue right now and need a quick fix, there are plenty of other long black miniskirts on the market for you to choose from. When the temperatures start to really decrease, throw on a long tailored coat or leather bomber jacket, and swap out the peep-toes for knee-high boots. A white T-shirt with a black miniskirt is the ultimate foolproof combination. Get yours below.
