There’s nothing that excites a beauty editor more than the news that Victoria Beckham Beauty is launching a new product. It’s true, this brand is loved by makeup experts, and it’s not just because of the chic packaging or luxury formulations. It’s because these products actually work. They are a fashion girl’s favourite for a reason. Designed for easy application and lasting impact, there isn’t a Victoria Beckham Beauty product that I don’t love. If you lean towards those minimal, catwalk-ready, glowy makeup looks, this is the brand to try.
So, when I heard that VB was launching her first foundation in collaboration with what can only be described as the most coveted skincare brand out there, Augustinus Bader, you can already imagine how desperate I was to get my hands on this product. This isn’t the first time that Victoria Beckham and Augustinus Bader have joined forces. From the illuminating primer to the popular VB concealer pen, the pair know what they are doing when it comes to skincare makeup hybrids.
This new foundation feels like a natural next step for the brand, allowing fans like me the ability to create an entire makeup base with Victoria Beckham Beauty X Augustinus Bader products. I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to get my hands on the launch, so keep on scrolling to see my thoughts.

The Foundation Drops With TFC8®
Powered by Augustinus Bader’s TFC8® technology, this foundation focuses on rejuvenating the skin and supporting the complexion’s natural renewal process. In fact, it’s the first all-over complexion product that features TFC8®, so it really is a skincare-first formulation.
It has an incredibly lightweight, serum-like feel that melts into the skin like butter, and is easily buildable depending on your desired finish. Adding a hit of hydration and natural luminosity to the complexion, the pigments work to diffuse imperfections while allowing your natural skin texture to shine through. This is probably the best product I have ever tried for that “your skin, but better” effect. As described by Beckham herself, it’s a foundation that feels like nothing, yet somehow does everything.
There are currently 19 flexible shades on offer. While it’s not the biggest shade range on the market, the product does cater to a wide range of skin tones and undertones, and has been designed to complement the brand’s concealer. That being said, more shades in the future would definitely be a plus.
I personally opted for shade 5, a lighter hue with neutral warm undertones. I found that this worked perfectly with my skin tone and gave me that second-skin finish I was after.
I wouldn’t normally comment on a foundation’s packaging, but I felt that this product deserved a special shoutout. Housed in a chic black bottle with Augustinus Bader’s signature blue shade adorning the lid, this is definitely the most fashionable foundation I have tried.
Plus, the streamlined dispenser allows you to apply the foundation drops onto the back of your hand or straight onto the skin for a mess-free finish.
I’m sure it’s obvious by now, but I am a huge fan of this foundation. I have combination skin and often struggle to find a formula that is hydrating enough without being overly shiny. In my opinion, this product strikes the perfect balance between natural luminosity and a nourishing finish.
Another element that really stood out to me when testing this product is how it managed to create a subtle blurring effect while making it feel as if I was wearing nothing on my skin. Usually, when I try skincare makeup hybrids, I find that they either lean too much into the skincare category and don’t offer much coverage, or they lean too much into the makeup category and don’t actually feel as if they are benefiting my complexion. Once again, this foundation found that perfect middle ground, making my skin look and feel good all at the same time.
While I personally couldn’t find any faults with this foundation, one thing I do have to mention is the price. At £104 for 30ml, this product is not cheap. You could argue that the high price point is to be expected due to the luxury names behind the formulation, but it’s certainly not the sort of product I would buy on a whim. There are more affordable foundations on the market, but if you’re looking for a high-end addition to your makeup bag that truly delivers on all of its promises, I recommend adding this to the top of your wishlist.

If you want a broad yet accurate window into what a lot of Japanese menswear looks like right now, this debut show from Ancellm provides it. The brand’s first runway show in Tokyo marks five years since the brand’s inception; it unfolded in front of an audience just shy of 1,000 people, in the vast and glassy Triangle Plaza of the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building.
Based in founder Kazuya Yamachika’s hometown of Okayama—an area near Hiroshima known for its wealth of factories and manufacturers—the brand produces much of its clothing locally. Known for crafty and innovative distressing techniques, Ancellm bleaches, sands, and smatters with paint everything from denim jeans to leather jackets, giving its collections a worn-in feel that is uniformly soft to the touch.
Oversized linen tailoring with raw hems, rough-collared button-ups, faded workwear jackets, distressed knits, and floaty pants made up the bulk of the offering, with a consistent note of boho-chic throughout. There was also a ton of dark brown (seemingly ubiquitous in menswear at the moment) that speaks to the slow, earthy mood of the brand and the obviously tactile fabrics it plays with.
Speaking backstage following the show, Yamachika explained that the collection was something of a study in color (he develops his hues from scratch). We went from the aforementioned brown through mustard yellow, deep reds, blanched denim blues, khakis, and intentionally dirtied whites (plus an excellent quilted Barbour-style jacket in an iridescent navy). “There wasn’t a particular theme this time, but I wanted people to see the gradations all the way to the end,” he said.
At 40 looks, however, the collection lost momentum by the halfway point. The problem with presenting lots of clothes with no obvious through-line or cultural reference points is that eventually it ossifies into plain old product. This is all well and fine (Ancellm is reportedly selling very well in Japan and abroad), but going forwards the proposition on the runway would benefit from less stuff and more bite.
The best silk sheets are naturally hypoallergenic, smooth, and cooling (a blessing for hot sleepers), but they also come with beauty benefits like fewer creases in your skin, less hair breakage, and even reduced frizz and bedhead.

Quince has recently skyrocketed to viral fame for offering high-end products at lower than typical prices, and its popular silk sheets are one of the better deals to be had. They’re made from 100% pure mulberry silk, and while still most certainly a splurge at $500 for a full set, they contrast with other brands that charge $700. If you’re looking for 22-momme silk, this one is a good value.
“Lying down in these sheets feels like sleeping on a cloud. They’re so soft to the touch and, for lack of a better term, silky,” says Lauren Brown, Glamour’s senior visuals editor, who raves that they gave her the most luxurious night’s sleep she’s experienced. “The tan was subtle and looked gorgeous in my room. The quality is so high that they’re super-easy to launder too. After washing, they really held up perfectly in terms of quality and feel. I have been sleeping with a silk pillowcase for years to protect my curls, so there was no change there—but I do think there’s been a benefit for my skin, since I seem to wake up less oily. You’ll feel rich lying in these sheets.” Because Quince’s sheets have all the bells and whistles of higher-priced silk bedding sets (including 100% natural material that won’t exacerbate allergies or skin issues) with a remarkably lower price tag, they’re solidly our first recommendation for beginners and silk obsessives alike.

Hoping to get a similar feel to silk and spend less than $50? Bedsure’s satin sheet set is your best bet. Because it’s made from polyester, a manmade material, it’ll be warmer at night, is less moisture-wicking, and won’t be biodegradable—but the tradeoff is that these sheets are cheaper and much easier to launder. Beginners, start here.
“These sheets are slippery, cool to the touch, and thin,” Glamour’s Brown says. Glamour designer Channing Smith found that they’re pretty wrinkle-resistant, as far as silk and satin go. “The sheets held up well in the wash, but they had minor pilling and lost a bit of their texture,” she says. “I love the texture for my hair, which was less frizzy when I slept on these sheets, but I didn’t notice much difference for my skin.” In the end, we recommend these sheets if you’re looking for the most affordable entry-point.

Ideal for those new to silk or shopping on a budget, Lilysilk’s 19-momme silk flat sheet is a solid entry-level option because of its price point. Its lighter weight but is still soft and breathable feel, helping to regulate temperature and minimize hair frizz and preserve hairstyles during sleep. If you fall in love with it, you can always expand your set with matching pillowcases, a duvet cover, and more, since the brand offers everything a la carte.
We found that these sheets hold up surprisingly well against wrinkles (a common problem with silk sheets), though they do tend to lose a bit of their sheen and develop minor stains over time. Even so, testers were impressed with how soft they stayed—even after months of use. Testers noticed real benefits, too. “I just blow-dried my hair the night before, and it managed to stay bouncy in the morning! Also, my neck didn’t sweat in the middle of the night—that’s a huge pro,” says Glamour social video editor Yanise Cabrera, who has curly hair.
“Of all the cheaper silk sheets I tested, this one gets the least wrinkled and helped preserve my hair overnight,” says Brie Schwartz, Glamour’s director of commerce. “However, after about six months of use, it did start to get more wrinkled after washes, and it has begun to lose its sheen and accrue some stains. It might be time to replace these sheets.”

Woven from high-quality silk—22-momme mulberry silk at grade 6A, the highest rating possible, to be exact—this sheet set is the softest and slickest we tested.
“The sheets are extremely soft right out of the box and even after washing; they were easy to clean with other sheets and held up fine. Once you lie on the sheets, they feel slippery and cool to the touch,” says Glamour senior commerce editor Jenifer Calle, who says they’re also ideal for hot sleepers. “My thick, wavy hair wasn’t as frizzy as usual each morning.”
While Calle thought the texture made it tough to sleep with a partner, Glamour editorial assistant Monique Wilson called it “not too slippery” and “smooth, but in a good way. Cleaning was easy—I used the delicate setting on my washer, which helped the sheets hold up well. Stains come out with a wash but still have faint visibility. My skin definitely felt smoother after a few nights.” Perhaps as a side effect of its extreme sheen and softness, this set seems especially prone to wrinkles, snags, and pilling, especially if you have facial hair. But because this Mulberry Park Silks pick is so slippery, that means it’s best equipped to address all of your hair and skin concerns, as our testers experienced.

Ettitude’s Bamboo Lyocell Sheet Set is a standout for anyone looking for the benefits of silk without the high-maintenance upkeep. These sheets are machine washable, making them ideal for busy households, yet they still offer many of the same benefits as true silk: temperature regulation, a super soft feel, and a gentle touch on hair and skin.

Now that Labor Day is behind us, I’m ready to start leaving some of my summer staples behind for now. The only issue is that it still kind of feels like summer outside. So mentally, I’ve moved on to fall, but practically, it’s a bit too soon to bust out the sweaters and suede boots. Enter Alexa Chung with the perfect outfit solution for right now, which involves combining a bit of summer with a bit of fall.
Chung is currently in Italy for the Venice Film Festival, and for the occasion, she packed a white Prada minidress made of lightweight poplin. Had she paired the dress with sandals, it would’ve looked quite summery, but since she opted for a shoe trend that was significantly more substantial, her outfit looked a bit less like it belonged in high summer and more like it belonged in September. The unofficial start of fall is here, bringing a sense of freshness and change. As we enter the season, it’s also the beginning of a new chapter for Proenza Schouler. Today, the New York-based brand announced the appointment of Diotima’s founder, Rachel Scott, as its creative director.
Scott is replacing Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough, who both founded Proenza Schouler in 2002, but left in April to become the new creative directors of Loewe. In a press release, Hernandez and McCollough had nothing but favorable remarks for Scott: “Rachel is someone whose work we have always admired,” they said in a statement. “Her trajectory over the last few years has been impressive to watch. As founders and board members of the company, we are proud to welcome her to this very special brand and excited to see how she will embrace and evolve the legacy and spirit of what we started.”
The fashion world is also eager to see her next move at the American House, especially given her artisanal background and the time she has already spent at Proenza Schouler as a consultant. “As one of the most celebrated design talents of today, Rachel brings a fresh and female perspective to a brand built on the spirit of the modern American woman,” Shira Suveyke Snyder, CEO of Proenza Schouler, said in a press release. “Her profound understanding of Proenza Schouler’s brand codes, paired with her exceptional ability to marry craft with innovation, made her the natural choice to lead the brand forward.”

In 2021, Scott founded her own label, Diotima, serving as its creative director. Over the past four years, the brand has gained recognition for its unique artisanship and culturally inspired craftsmanship. Its designs feature fabrics such as crochet, mesh, and linen, reflecting Scott’s Jamaican heritage, while mixing these with tailored silhouettes to create pieces that feel current. While Scott is heading to Proenza Schouler, she will continue to serve as the creative director of her brand.
Scott’s experience extends beyond Diotima. Her career originally started at J.Mendel, then she moved to Elizabeth and James, the brand founded by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, where she was a designer. From 2021 to 2022, she served as vice president of design at Rachel Comey, overseeing footwear and ready-to-wear, before leaving to start her own label.

Since Diotima was founded in 2021, Scott has won four major awards. Her first was the CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year award in 2023, followed by the CFDA American Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2024, and the CFDA x Frazier Family Foundation Empowered Vision Award in 2025. In April, she received the Fashion Trust US Ready-to-Wear Award. Her recognition within the industry makes her not just the right choice for Proenza Schouler but also the right leader to shape the future of American fashion.
Over the past few months, significant changes have occurred in the fashion world regarding creative directors. For example, Pierpaolo Piccioli became the creative director at Balenciaga after Demna left to lead Gucci, and Jonathan Anderson was named the creative director of Dior after his departure from Loewe. However, what makes Scott’s appointment at Proenza Schouler stand out is the importance of her role; she has become the only woman of color to lead a fashion house this season, marking a milestone for the industry.
