10 Most Comfortable Sneakers for Women, Reviewed by Our Editors

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Allbirds has become a big name in comfy footwear in the last few years, and one of their most stylish silhouettes is also super comfy—win-win. Made with a soft, cushiony foam and organic cotton canvas, the Piper sneakers are made with both comfort and sustainability in mind. As a rare bonus, these sneakers are actually machine-washable; the brand recommends removing the insoles and laces before cleaning on a gentle cycle.

What our reviewer says: “I specifically purchased these shoes wanting a low-top pair of white sneakers that would look cute with dresses, and they have not let me down. From casual cotton minidresses to linen maxidresses, everything in my wardrobe complements them. As an added bonus, they are the best walking shoes; I wore them on a recent trip to Italy, where we had back-to-back long days of walking and exploring, so they are Euro-summer approved. I also love that they’re made of natural materials, which makes them feel ultra-breathable. Worth noting: the shoelaces are a tad shorter than I’d like, and I usually double-knot to ensure they stay tied.” — Austen Tosone

What we love: Heel-first design; great arch support
What could improve: Limited colors

Heel-focused footwear brand Kuru upgraded its original Atom design with a better fit, springier cushioning, and improved heel support, all of which are important criteria for the most comfortable sneaker. We wish the design came in more colors, but we recommend the black or white colorways if you’re looking for something simple and walking-friendly.

What our reviewer says: “I’ve been searching for a pair of durable sneakers to handle my intense CrossFit workouts—and I finally found them. Feast your eyes on Kurur’s Atom 2. These sneakers feel like I’m literally walking on a cloud. They’re not only super comfortable and supportive, but also stylish—perfect for everything from walking to high-intensity training. Best of all, I didn’t even have to break them in.” — Chantal Waldholz, Glamour senior global director of audience development, social media, and analytics

What we love: Breathable, water-repellent uppers; wide sizes available
What could improve: Not as versatile as some other sneakers

If you find yourself reaching for orthotics, you may want to add the Vionic Walk Max sneakers to your cart; everything is already built in. They’ve even received a seal of approval from the American Podiatric Medical Association, so you can feel good about slipping into these for several hours knowing that podiatrists have signed off.

What our reviewer says: “I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis and I often walk 10,000 or more steps a day, so I’m super-particular about comfortable shoes. I’ve tried out a lot of sneakers, but the Vionic Walk Max remains my favorite. I’ve had my pair for years and have worn them for traveling, music festivals, casual hikes, and my day-to-day life in New York City, and they are still going strong. And, importantly, they don’t look like orthopedic sneakers!” — Sarah Chiwaya, editor and influencer

Every Malin + Goetz Perfume, Ranked by an Editor

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

The best perfumes are hard to define. What might be irresistible to one might be a hard no for another. While I love a sweet, gourmand fragrance, my best friend favours a rich, oud scent. Like I say, perfume is totally subjective.

However, there’s one somewhat under-the-radar brand that, as a beauty editor, I believe covers all bases when it comes to their scents. That brand is Malin + Goetz. These undeniably cool fragrances are both light and punchy, sweet and rich, and above all, unique. Each perfume focuses on one specific aroma, from the likes of rum or cannabis, and uses different scents to help amplify this.

The minimal branding and monochrome bottles make them the kind of perfumes that you always want in your handbag or out on display. Whenever I see someone spritzing one of these scents, I immediately know that they have good taste. If you’re thinking about investing in one, below I’ve reviewed every single Malin + Goetz perfume, including my top picks that always earn me compliments.

The Best Malin + Goetz Perfumes

1. Malin+Goetz Dark Rum

Malin + Goetz Dark Rum Eau De Parfum 50ml

Malin + Goetz

Dark Rum Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Bergamot, plum, leather, rum, vanilla, patchouli, amber, milk

First up is my favourite scent from the brand. I don’t usually gravitate towards boozy fragrances, as I find that they can be a bit too overpowering, but this particular perfume balances the scent of rum with zesty bergamot to give it a lively edge. It’s sweet, syrupy, rich and refreshing all at once.

Hints of plum, leather and vanilla work together to enhance the boozy nature of the fragrance, giving it this alluring element that reminds me of nights spent enjoying many a cocktail in a dimly lit bar. As you can imagine, this is my go-to autumn perfume for date nights.

2. Malin+Goetz Vetiver

Malin + Goetz Vetiver Eau De Parfum 50ml

Malin + Goetz

Vetiver Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Bergamot, cardamom, grapefruit peel, celery seed, white iris, amber, vetiver

At this time of year, I often find myself gravitating towards earthy, woody scents. Case in point, Vetiver from Malin + Goetz. This is one of the coolest perfumes from the brand, with a deep, masculine aroma that feels incredibly expensive.

On one hand, this fragrance smells like walking through a forest straight after rain, and on the other hand, like a model off-duty strutting the streets of New York after dark. It’s complex, captivating and somehow calming in the best way possible.

3. Malin+Goetz Strawberry

Malin + Goetz Strawberry Eau De Parfum

Malin + Goetz

Strawberry Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Bergamot, strawberry, pink pepper, jasmine, cedarwood, oakmoss, musk, orris root

On the opposite end of the spectrum (I told you this brand was versatile), you have this delightfully youthful perfume. As the name suggests, it focuses on the scent of strawberries, but not in a sickly, strawberry ice cream kind of way. Instead, it’s like a strawberry picked straight from its plant, with hints of fresh, green notes throughout.

I feel like this fragrance is the perfect example of how this brand can take a single note and create something wonderfully unique and totally unexpected. It’s a beautifully delicate perfume.

4. Malin+Goetz Leather

Malin + Goetz Leather Eau De Parfum

Malin + Goetz

Leather Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Lotus flower, pepper, clove, leather, orchid, green violet, cedarwood, sandalwood

If you’d have told me six months ago that I’d be wearing a leather perfume on the daily, I would have laughed in your face. If it isn’t obvious by now, these are not the sort of scents I usually gravitate towards. At least that’s what I thought before I smelled this Malin + Goetz fragrance and realised that leather can actually be incredibly sexy.

Yes, this perfume does have a distinct leathery scent, but it’s also warm and spicy thanks to pepper and sandalwood. Spritzing this feels luxurious and intimate, and both my boyfriend and I are hooked. If an Acne leather jacket is the best on the market, this is the fragrance equivalent.

5. Malin+Goetz Bergamot

Malin + Goetz Bergamot Eau De Parfum

Malin + Goetz

Bergamot Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Bergamot, bell pepper, grapefruit, ginger, muguet, cardamom, musk, sandalwood, amberwood

Compared to the other fragrances from the brand, Bergamot offers a distinctly unique experience as a citrus scent. It feels serene and spa-like, with a herbaceous quality that is oddly addictive. Grapefruit and ginger add a revitalising element while musk and sandalwood ground the scent in a comforting embrace.

If I were to gift someone a Malin + Goetz perfume, it would be this one. In fact, I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t fall in love with this scent.

6. Malin+Goetz Cannabis

Malin + Goetz Cannabis Eau De Parfum 50ml

Malin + Goetz

Cannabis Eau de Parfum

Key notes: Bergamot, black pepper, orange, cannabis accord, cedarwood, patchouli, amber, musk

Perhaps a more divisive scent, Cannabis is not at all what you might expect. Similar to the fragrance above, it has this herbaceous quality to it, but this is quickly met with notes of spicy black pepper and smoky cannabis accord.

It veers on the more masculine side of things, but smells incredibly chic and sexy no matter who is wearing it. If it were a place, it would definitely be a smoky, hazy Parisian bar.

How We Tested

As a beauty editor and a perfume lover, I have tried hundreds of fragrances over the years. I have tested every single Malin + Goetz scent on my own skin to give you my honest opinion on what it smells like, how it settles, and whether it lasts throughout the day. I have worn each fragrance for different occasions, from date nights to days at my desk, and even layered some of the scents to see how they wear together.

Attersee Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Before Isabel Wilkinson Schor was making fashion, she was covering it. She left her job at the New York Times’s T Magazine just before Covid struck, and founded Attersee in 2021. “The need,” she said, “came from always struggling with what to wear and having a functional wardrobe that would take me through all these different lives I felt I was leading as an editor: office, after, running around town, meetings—and wanting a polished wardrobe where the quality was there and the comfort was there and the ease was there.” Price is key too, Attersee clothes range from $450 to the low $2,000s.

Naturally, fellow editors were among her first clients, and word spread quickly. The office space Wikinson Schor rented on East 64th Street was soon converted into a by-appointment salon, and in fairly short order, that salon turned into a store. “We now have to staff it six days a week and people just buzz—it’s mostly walk-ins.”

What makes Attersee so popular? The market is filling up with women-led brands trying to milk the white space left vacant by too-expensive high fashion. Some of them have become must-see shows at New York Fashion Week. As a rule, those women all have design studio or design school experience; Wilkinson Schor came up through news rooms. If the brand’s success is something of a marvel, Wilkinson Schor isn’t taking it for granted. In addition to the 64th Street salon store, she keeps an office in the Garment District, and 70% of the clothes are made locally. Every day is still a hustle, but, she says, “it allows us to quickly action recuts, make more really quickly for clients, make custome orders in a nimble way.”

The spring lookbook opens with an all-white look, as many shows did in New York this season, but there are other distinguishing features that differentiate Attersee. An appealing athletic streak runs through pieces like an anorak with an industrial zip front pocket and a dress with drawstring pull cords at the waist, while others indigo pieces like a handknit sweater and a nubby stripes shirtdress have a zen-like Japanese quality. As a writer, Wilkinson Schor said, “I was always so inspired by makers and creators, and the risk of putting something out in the world. I had so much respect for it.” She’s come a long way from the easy, oversized cotton-linen shirt she started with.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3 Ending Review

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Lola Tung has played Belly with the depth and nuance characters of color often don’t get on teen shows like this. While The Summer I Turned Pretty is still very white, Tung and her TV family (including Sean Kaufman as Belly’s brother Steven and Jackie Chung as mom Laurel) brought a dynamic that felt deeply real and aggressively normal, which, again, for Asian American characters onscreen, this kind of representation is still rare and a welcome change. And it means that Tung’s Belly means a lot to a lot of people. Last weekend at the Emmys, I spoke to Sarah Bock, the 19-year-old who plays Miss Huang on Severance and when I asked her the first time she felt truly seen on TV, she said it was watching Tung on The Summer I Turned Pretty and that she was firmly “Team Belly.” Yes, this character has been polarizing, but I think that’s what makes her great. And in the series finale, Belly’s complexity was on full display. If you are, like Bock and me, less concerned with the love triangle between the Fisher boys (don’t get me wrong, I was still deeply invested) and more interested in watching our girl grow up and choose herself, Season 3 episode 11 was for us.

Martha Stewart Skin Care: We Tried Elm Biosciences on Four Different Skin Types

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s not every day a celebrity beauty brand truly piques our interest, but when we heard the news about Martha Stewart’s skin care line, Elm Biosciences, we couldn’t help but be curious. After all, this is the woman who makes constant headlines for her ageless skin (which, according to Stewart, has no help from Botox or plastic surgery) and, not to mention, graced the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Described as “intentional skin care for living and aging well,” Elm Biosciences has been five years in the making and was developed in partnership with Dhaval Bhanusali, MD, Stewart’s longtime dermatologist and the founder of Hudson Dermatology and Laser Surgery in New York City.

Curious to see if the Martha magic is worth the hype? We asked four Glamour editors of varying ages and skin types to put the Elm Biosciences A3O Elemental Serum to the test. Ahead, our honest review on Martha Stewart’s skin care line.

About Martha Stewart’s skin care line

Elm Inner Dose Daily Skin Supplement

The inaugural launch includes The A3O Elemental Serum ($150) and Inner Dose Daily Skin Supplement ($50), which both aim to restore skin appearance, support the barrier, and improve resilience. According to the brand, the serum is the first of its kind, using patented A30 Complex, a combination of powerful antioxidants, to target UV damage, pigmentation, dehydration, and irritation. It was also designed to play well with other products in your skin care routine and work well under makeup.

Lauren Brown, creative visuals director

“The packaging of this serum is beautiful and definitely luxury: gold hardware, matte glass, and chic typography. The serum itself is a gold-yellow shade that looks almost tinted at first, but sheers out once applied. My skin looked super glowy and felt really hydrated. I definitely noticed the smell, which is a floral-meets-botanical fragrance, but I really like the scent so it didn’t bother me. Even after applying my makeup, I noticed my complexion looked a lot brighter. I took a cue from the instructions and also applied it to the neck and décolleté, which gave me a nice overall glow. If you’re a luxury skin care obsessive, it’s worth the $150 investment.” —Lauren Brown, Glamour creative visuals director

Eilish Morley, global director, editorial operations

“When applied on skin, the serum has an almost shimmery effect to it. I noticed my complexion looked a lot brighter than usual, which lasted throughout the week. The formula melts into skin well and didn’t leave me feeling tacky or sticky. The biggest benefits I saw were hydration and brightening—my skin felt plump and soft with a nice glow. As for things I didn’t love: The serum has a specific smell that I didn’t find pleasant. My nose is pretty sensitive, so I usually lean toward something with no fragrance or very light fragrance. If there was an unscented version, I would be totally sold.” —Eilish Morley, Glamour global director, editorial operations

Ariana Yaptangco, senior beauty editor

“The first thing I noticed about this serum was the smell, which I actually enjoy (the scent is rich and fancy—reminiscent of La Mer) but made me a little hesitant. My skin has been through rounds of intense laser treatments to smooth acne scarring and has become much more sensitive. Anything overly fragranced tends to make me itchy and splotchy. I pumped the gilded bottle (again, rich and fancy) and hoped for the best. You can imagine my surprise when I had zero negative reaction to this product. Instead, it made my skin feel plump and healthy, with the most unreal glow. I like using it in the morning before makeup, for an instant boost of brightness. The key is the patented A30 complex, which uses antioxidants to target UV damage, pigmentation, dehydration, and irritation. Jury’s out on UV damage (that requires more long-term testing), but you can definitely check off those last three skin concerns. At $150, it’s definitely a splurge, but if you have the means, it’s worth the short-term benefits (and worth waiting to see the long-term).” —Ariana Yaptangco, Glamour senior beauty editor

Anna Moeslein, deputy editor

“My skin can be reactive to new products sometimes, but that wasn’t the case with this serum—a sign that it’s as gentle for sensitive skin as promised. The formula absorbed well and wasn’t too sticky on the skin. And because it is so gentle, I found it paired nicely with the rest of my skin care routine. My skin felt smoother and more hydrated, which helped create a good base for my makeup. I think I’ll need to use it longer than a few weeks to really see the full results and decide if it’s as transformative as the packaging claims. If so, it may be worth the $150 price tag. But it’s a promising start!” —Anna Moeslein, Glamour deputy editor

Kate Middleton Updates Princess Diana’s Favorite Fall Outfit

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

While I understand why some people don’t like to compare the current Princess of Wales to the late Princess Diana, I find it fascinating to examine how royal style has evolved (or stayed the same) over the years. My discussions are purely sartorial in nature and are never meant to pit the two women against each other. It’s not a competition! On the contrary, I enjoy celebrating how each has left a mark on royal fashion in her own way. Both women have consistently proven that royals can set trends while working within the confines of their roles.

One of the clearest examples of this evolution across generations of royals is Kate Middleton’s newest outfit. Echoing a classic Princess Diana formula, Princess Kate wore an A-line midi skirt with knee-high boots and a blazer. The only difference? Kate modernized Diana’s look by opting for a cropped jacket instead of a full-length one. This small tweak creates a fresher, more contemporary silhouette while still nodding to Diana’s classic approach. Scroll down to see how the looks compare.
