Gisele Bündchen Shares Photo of Her, Joaquim Valente’s Baby

Gisele Bündchen’s family is the model of love.

Eight months after welcoming a baby boy with partner Joaquim Valente, the supermodel showed off how one of her older sons—she is also mom to son Benjamin, 15, stepson Jack, 18, and daughter Vivian, 12, with ex Tom Brady—is bonding with her little one.

In a series of photos Gisele shared to Instagram Oct. 12, one of Gisele’s older sons sits with his back to the camera on the bench of a grand piano, his baby brother on his lap. Both boys have their hands on the piano keys and are matching in green pants and white t-shirts.

“There’s only one thing more precious than our time…” Gisele captioned the post, via translation. “And that’s who we spend it on.”

In addition to an image of the same quote and the sweet photo of her sons bonding, elsewhere in the carousel of images Gisele shared was one of her and Vivian snuggling, images of a crystal, some recent meals and snapshots of the family enjoying time together outdoors.

He also thanked Rasheeda for standing by him through what he called a “bad season” in their marriage, saying she’s helped ensure he remains a good father. ????

bitchy | Diane Keaton has passed away at the age of 79

by jummy84 October 12, 2025
written by jummy84

This comes as a huge shock to me: Diane Keaton has passed away at the age of 79. It feels so shocking because Diane was one of the most vivacious and upbeat celebrities out there – an optimistic oddball, in the best way. She won the Best Actress Oscar for Annie Hall in 1977. I know Woody Allen is thoroughly canceled and everything, but she was great in Annie Hall. She also received Oscar nominations for Reds, Marvin’s Room and Something’s Got to Give (one of my favorite performances from her). She also played Kay in the Godfather trilogy (iconic). Baby Boom is probably my favorite Diane Keaton film – she’s just perfect in it, sassy, neurotic and funny, but she also brought so much sweetness to the movie. Diane was survived by her two children.

Diane Keaton has died. She was 79. PEOPLE can confirm the legendary actress died in California. “There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness,” a spokesperson tells PEOPLE.

Keaton rose to fame in the 1970s thanks to her role in The Godfather films and her collaborations with director Woody Allen. She won an Oscar for Best Actress for 1977’s Annie Hall. Her long career included movies like The First Wives Club, multiple collaborations with director Nancy Meyers and the Book Club franchise.

The actress was born in Los Angeles in 1946 as Diane Hall, and was the oldest of four children. Her father was a civil engineer, while her mom stayed at home. Still, Keaton thought her mother dreamed of something bigger. “Secretly in her heart of hearts she probably wanted to be an entertainer of some kind,” the actress told PEOPLE in 2004. “She sang. She played the piano. She was beautiful. She was my advocate.”

Keaton never married. “Today I was thinking, I’m the only one in my generation of actresses who has been a single woman all her life,” she explained to PEOPLE in 2019. “I’m really glad I didn’t get married. I’m an oddball. I remember in high school, this guy came up to me and said, ‘One day you’re going to make a good wife.’ And I thought, ‘I don’t want to be a wife. No.’”

She was romantically linked to Woody Allen, Al Pacino and Warren Beatty throughout her life. “Talent is so damn attractive,” she noted to PEOPLE.

Keaton had two children, daughter Dexter and son Duke, whom she adopted in 1996 and 2001, respectively. “Motherhood was not an urge I couldn’t resist, it was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in,” she told Ladies’ Home Journal in 2008. Keaton is survived by her children.

[From People]

I’m glad her kids are adults, and we’re thinking about them during this difficult time. She was right – she was the only major actress out of her generation to never marry. She never made a big deal about it, and it was pretty genuine – she really didn’t want to be anyone’s wife. Bless her.

Following news of her death, tributes from friends, co-stars, and admirers quickly poured in across social media. From Bette Midler to Reese Witherspoon, stars shared heartfelt memories of the Annie Hall actress, celebrating her humor, kindness, and trailblazing spirit.

Read how Hollywood is remembering Keaton below.

Steve Martin

Steve Martin, who played Keaton’s on-screen husband in Father of the Bride and its sequel, paid tribute to his longtime friend with a nostalgic Instagram post. He shared a snippet from a 2021 Interview Magazine conversation and captioned it, “Don’t know who first posted this, but it sums up our delightful relationship with Diane.”

In the screenshot, fellow actor Martin Short asked, “Who’s sexier? Me or Steve Martin?” to which Keaton hilariously replied, “I mean, you’re both idiots.”

Bette Midler

Midler, who starred alongside Keaton in the hit comedy The First Wives Club, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram after news of her death. “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died,” she wrote. “I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile. What you saw was who she was.” Midler added, “Oh, la, la.”

Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn, who also appeared with Keaton and Midler in The First Wives Club, reflected on their decades-long friendship. “Diane, we aren’t ready to lose you,” she wrote in a moving Instagram post. “You’ve left us with a trail of fairy dust. There was, and will be, no one like you.” Hawn added that the trio once joked they’d grow old together, saying, “I thought we had more time.”

Reese Witherspoon

Witherspoon grew close to Keaton after being directed by her in the 1991 TV movie Wildflower. During Hello Sunshine’s Shine Away event in LA, she paid an emotional onstage tribute to her mentor, calling her “such an original.”

Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda, who worked with Keaton on both Book Club films, made a tribute to her friend and co-star in a statement on Instagram. “It’s hard to believe…or accept…that Diane has passed. She was always a spark of life and light, constantly giggling at her own foibles, being limitlessly creative…in her acting, her wardrobe, her books, her friends, her homes, her library, her world view. Unique is what she was. And, though she didn’t know it or wouldn’t admit it, man she was a fine actress!”

Kimberly Williams-Paisley

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who portrayed Keaton’s on-screen daughter, shared a loving tribute on Instagram.

“Diane, working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life. You are one of a kind, and it was thrilling to be in your orbit for a time. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your talent, and above all, your laughter. 🙏🏻🕊️💔❤️❤️❤️”

What’s the future of AI and music? Things may be starting to become clear – National

by jummy84 October 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Every September, leading up to the Formula One race, Singapore hosts a conference called All That Matters. Thinkers, creators, and entrepreneurs from all over Asia gather to talk about the latest developments in sports, tech, marketing, gaming and music. I try to go every year, because in many aspects, Asia is already living in the future. (Actually, that’s incorrect. They’re living in the present; it’s parts of the West that are clinging to the past. But I digress.)

Artificial intelligence was front and centre for many of the sessions, especially those dealing with music. There was much discussion about how AI will factor into things like music creation, music distribution and copyright. I took notes.

The internet is changing again

The internet we’ve been used to is once again changing rapidly. The browser wars are back, too, thanks to searches turbocharged by AI. I’ve been trying out Comet, a brand-new browser from the people behind the AI program Perplexity. It still has some rough edges, but I can see myself liking it better and using it more than Google. Then again, Google has its own AI in the form of Gemini, which has been going up against Microsoft’s Co-Pilot.

How AI assisted The Beatles and the impact it has on the music industry

Music-creating AI programs are about to have a moment

The last quarter century has been about changes in consumption: CDs to MP3s to piracy to streaming, with a detour back into vinyl. The next decade will see major shifts in creation. Ignore and disparage that all you want, but it’s going to happen.

When it comes to artificial music creation, the big players are Suno and Anthropic, two generative AI programs that keep getting better when it comes to making music based on user prompts. Although both are deep in litigation with rightsholders and labels, expect licensing deals to be hammered out with the major labels sooner rather than later. This means more human-created music will be used to feed the models behind AI programs. By this time next year, these programs will be able to analyze trillions of data points when responding to prompts. More data points means (theoretically) more realistic and — this is key — emotional music. Predictions are that this will set off a new era for the recorded music industry.

Story continues below advertisement

One way that will happen is a simplification of user interfaces. One of the biggest problems with any computer program is learning how to use it. Today, the thinking is the less user interface (UI), the better. We’re approaching a situation where the programs will say, “Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it by pulling all the tools that exist in the cloud.” Already, we have programs that will return produced music if you just hum an idea into it.

But what about artists?

The bulls outweighed the bears on this one. Here’s how AI might benefit musicians very soon.

  • With AI, fans will have a chance to collaborate more directly with artists, contributing directly to intellectual property. They’ll be involved in “world-building,” the creation and execution of an artist’s vision, which might lead to monetization for fans. In other words, fans will co-create new material with their favourite musicians. Up until now, fans have invested a lot of money in artists. New tech will allow artists to give something back to the fans.
  • Artists should — should! — benefit from the negotiations between labels and publishers and generative AI companies. This will be a new form of licensing that could — could! — be more lucrative and longer-lasting than the revenue derived from streaming.
  • On that note, indie and emerging artists may be the ones to benefit the most.
  • The music being fed into these models is from all over the world. Artists who learn to use AI as a music creation tool will have access to many, many more influences than they do today. They’ll all be stored in the AI models, waiting to be used.
  • AI will allow the number of people who create music to explode even further. In Mozart’s day, perhaps 50,000 people were actively and regularly making music. Estimates today say the number is over 100 million. With AI, even more people will be able to. Not all of it will be good or deserve to be heard, but new stars will be minted.
  • The cost of making music will drop further, even approaching zero.
  • And what about this: Could the rise of AI music accelerate and increase the value of music created by humans?

Trending Now

  • Mail will resume next week, Canada Post says ahead of rotating strike

Awfully rosy. What about the downsides?

Whenever any kind of promising technology comes along, there has always been a segment of humanity that will drag it down to its lowest common denominator. (Hello, social media!) There will also be knock-on effects. For example, if generative AI programs blow up the way they’re expected to, what happens to real-life musical instruments and the people who make them? What happens to traditional recording studios and the people who staff and equip them? Will people of the future bother to learn to play a traditional instrument by putting in 10,000 hours of practice?

Story continues below advertisement

There’s more. How will copyright be divided up? What about unintentional duplication, imitation or derivations of existing works? Is AI training fair use under current law? What about data privacy?

When music starts flooding out — maybe billions of new works a year — how will anyone ever discover new music? How will any artist of the future have a hope of being found? If we have billions of new songs every year thanks to AI, is it possible that highly average music will dominate the future? What happens 20 to 50 years from now when AI is indistinguishable from human intelligence?

And what about the current record label system? Is it ethical to sign an AI artist to a recording contract? (SPOILER: It’s already happening. Heard of Xania Monet yet?)

Everyone at the conference agreed that there are still more questions than answers when it comes to AI and music. But they also agree that this space is moving fast. Ignore it at your peril.

King Charles has saved the World Conker Championships (WCC).

King Charles has saved the World Conker Championship

Organisers were concerned the contest would be called off after collectors reported a shortage of large, competition-standard horse chestnuts, but they have received a package of more than 300 “really good quality” conkers from Windsor Castle, meaning the 60th anniversary tournament can go ahead.

St John Burkett, a championship committee member, told The Telegraph: “It was a real joy to have conkers sent to us this time.

“The Windsor Castle delivery was of really good quality. They were fantastic, they were the ones that really ensured we could go ahead.”

The package from Windsor Castle had been “picked from the castle grounds and sent via the public relations department”.

St John added: “Intriguingly, we don’t know who picked them, but like to imagine it might have been the King, at least for a few.

“We are extremely grateful, and can already say a conker from Royal Windsor will win the final, as we have reserved them to be used in the finals.”

Conkers have also been imported from France and Italy for the competition.

Organiser Charles Whalley said: “We’ve just had conkers from everywhere. It’s been quite extraordinary.

“It just sort of sums up the love for the championships. We’ve had them from all over Europe, Italy and France.

“We’ve just had so many emails from people offering conkers, saying plenty here, come and get them, or we can send them to you.

“With the support from Europe and what’s left in the trees at the moment, we are delighted to say that all is good.”

The annual World Conker Championships (WCC) will be held on Sunday (12.10.25) in Southwick, Northamptonshire and it is expected to have attract around 2,000 spectators.

Last year’s competition was embroiled in controversy after men’s winner David Jakins – who has taken part since 1977 – was accused of swapping his conker for a metal one.

He denied the claims and was cleared of cheating following an investigation, which ruled he had “achieved his title fairly”.

The traditional game sees a horse chestnut threaded onto a piece of string with pairs of contestants taking it in turn to strike each other’s conker until one breaks.

Kyren Lacy, Former LSU Wide Receiver, Didn’t Cause Fatal Crash, Prosecutors Say – Police Report Under Fire

The district attorney’s office in Lafourche Parish says the Louisiana State Police’s initial crash report had “several inconsistencies,” rejecting key claims about how the Dec. 2024 wreck unfolded.

In a damning assessment, the DA’s investigator wrote, “The report provided to this office by Louisiana State Police has several inconsistencies which were used to base their opinion and conclusion of the crash.” According to surveillance and crash-scene evidence, police alleged that Lacy was speeding and passed four vehicles in a no-passing zone before returning to his lane — and this maneuver, they argued, triggered a chain reaction that led to the fatal collision.

But prosecutors pushed back. The DA’s report found that when Lacy reentered his correct lane, he did so “well before the crash occurred.” And importantly, they argued that “the evidence submitted in the crash report does not support that Kyren Lacy should have known that his actions were the cause of the crash.”

That statement echoes the claims of Lacy’s defense attorney, Mathew Ory, who told local media: “[Kyren Lacy] had no idea he caused this accident because he didn’t think he caused the accident. He didn’t cause the accident.”

The timing is critical: Lacy died by suicide in April, just days before a grand jury could weigh the case. The police department, in turn, defended its findings, saying it “stands by the findings of its crash investigation,” citing “eyewitness accounts, video evidence, and physical evidence” as the foundation of its conclusions.

This clash between prosecutors and state police reframes the case. Instead of accepting the official narrative, the DA’s office is questioning whether Lacy’s alleged actions truly precipitated the deadly crash — and whether the initial investigation painted a fair picture of what really happened.

bitchy | Prince William cried while talking to a woman whose husband died by suicide

Have you ever watched Broadcast News? The James L. Brooks film came out in 1987 and largely predicted the decline in quality of broadcast journalism in America. It starred Holly Hunter, Albert Brooks and William Hurt. Hurt played Tom, the handsome newscaster who was not intelligent enough to really be the anchor of a national news broadcast, but he looks the part and he’s good at playing to the cameras. Holly plays Jane, the hard-edged news producer who falls in love with Tom. Part of the plot hinges on Tom doing a one-on-one interview with a rape survivor, which airs as a segment on the nightly news. During the interview, as the rape survivor describes the ordeal, there’s a cutaway to Tom as his eyes well up with tears. Jane thinks the segment is good, but Albert Brooks’ Aaron realizes what happened – Tom was only given one camera for the interview, and he made himself cry and then spliced in the reaction, which is extremely unethical journalism.

I bring up one of my favorite Holly Hunter movies because Prince William went to speak to a Welsh widow whose husband died by suicide. William brought a camera crew with him, and I definitely want to know how many cameras were there, because William was also caught on camera, tearing up as he spoke to Rhian Mannings. The video of William’s interview was published on KensingtonRoyal’s social media and William & Kate’s YouTube channel:

It was possibly a three-camera set-up. One camera for the wide shot of William and Rhian at the table, one camera on Rhian’s closeup and one camera on William’s closeup. Or it could be something else entirely. If KP has the money and personnel for a three-camera set up, just to make their in-house YouTube videos, that’s a stand-alone scandal in my book. What I do know is that William’s tears, however sincere or not, do not make up for his actual words and deeds in the past decade. From calling his mother paranoid, to assaulting his brother, to bullying, smearing and abusing his sister-in-law until she was suicidal, William has zero authenticity or credibility here. It reads as performative because of everything we already know about William. It also reads as performative because royalists are gleefully using the video as evidence for William’s preparations for his reign. From the NY Times:

At a time when the British royal family has been convulsed by drama, infighting and a tendency by some royals to over-share, Prince William has remained largely aloof — loath to reveal the kinds of details found in “Spare,” the memoir by his estranged brother, Prince Harry.

Yet William, too, has lifted the veil in recent weeks, in his own carefully managed way. Appearing with the Canadian comic actor Eugene Levy on an episode of his travel series, and later with a woman who lost her husband to suicide, William has shown a more personal side, speaking about his desire to change the monarchy after he becomes king and tearing up over another family’s tragedy.

The exercise in image making has taken on more urgency since his father was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in early 2024. While Buckingham Palace insists that Charles, 76, is on the mend, the prospect of William having to step up to the throne no longer seems so distant.

“He’s on fast forward,” said Tina Brown, the British American journalist who has written two books about the royal family. “His father had 50 years to tell the world who he was before becoming king. It’s essential for William to show the human side of himself before his image gets set in stone as the stoic foil to Harry.”

In a video released Friday to coincide with World Mental Health Day, William met with Rhian Mannings, who lost a baby to illness and her husband to suicide. As the two sat at Ms. Mannings’s kitchen table in Cardiff, Wales, William asked her what she would say to her husband, if she could.

“I would just like to sit him down like this and say, ‘Why didn’t you come to me?’” she replied. “Because he’s missed out on just so much joy.”

William looked away, his eyes brimming with tears.

“Are you OK?” Ms. Mannings asked.

Struggling to compose himself, William said, “I’m sorry; it’s hard to ask you the questions.”

It was a startling display of emotion — not least in contrast to the stiff-upper-lip stoicism of older-generation royals like Queen Elizabeth II — though it recalled the emotional encounters his mother, Princess Diana, had with people with AIDS in the 1990s. William’s focus on suicide prevention echoed his mother’s desire to destigmatize AIDS.

[From The NY Times]

“The exercise in image making” – Jesus. Am I alone in finding this incredibly exploitative? I’m sure Rhian Mannings simply wants her story out there, with the hope that more people will be willing to talk to loved ones and reach out to people when they’re at their lowest point. But for William to rather ruthlessly exploit her family’s tragedy as part of his really obvious and plodding image rebrand is pretty ghoulish, even for William.
