A rising drill rapper from the Norwood/Bedford Park area was k*lled Wednesday afternoon in Mott Haven, Bronx, authorities confirmed ? The artist, known as Suave Drilly, was sh#t while leaving a parole office and later died at the hospital.
Suave Drilly’s real name was John Martinez. According to the report from Norwood News, he was attacked near Alexander Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard on October 15. (Suave Drilly, drill rap artist from Norwood area, sht ded in the South Bronx.)
As police and parole officers rushed to his aid, Martinez was struck multiple times in the torso. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. (Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso… EMS responded … and transported the victim … where he was pronounced deceased.)
Witnesses recalled chaos at the scene. One said, “People were getting close, and they were like back up back up with their guns out.” The report also states that at least three ski-masked assailants fled eastbound on East 132nd Street after the sh*oting.
Martinez was 27 years old. Before his death, he had been involved in legal battles: in 2022, he was among 20 people indicted by the Bronx District Attorney’s office for alleged roles in various sh*otings across the borough. He had also served time after being convicted of first-degree attempted gang *ssault and was paroled in January 2024.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to Martinez’s m*rder. Investigators continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.

What Do You Think Roomies?
People are spending more time than ever on digital entertainment, whether it’s streaming a new series, listening to music, or joining friends for a quick game online. Apps feel faster and simpler now, with taps, swipes, and voice commands replacing slow sign-ups and endless menus. Devices respond instantly and learn what you like, making every session feel more personal. Whether you’re picking up a show where you left off or joining a game from your phone, entertainment has become something you can start enjoying almost immediately.
Tap-First UX and Mobile Convenience
Modern entertainment platforms are built around quick, simple gestures. Instead of typing in details or searching through drop-down menus, users can move through apps with one hand. Streaming services, gaming platforms, and social media have all adopted tap-based navigation, which gets people to what they want faster. Getting started quickly has become essential. Platforms that offer instant sign-ups and quick payments tend to keep users engaged longer. In an age of short attention spans, convenience often decides whether someone stays or moves on.
For example, payid deposit casino australia stands out in the casino entertainment industry. PayID enables near-instant deposits and withdrawals, letting users begin playing or streaming without long banking waits. Although it’s widely used in Australia, the principle applies globally: people expect digital experiences to feel smooth from the first moment. A fast, reliable payment option adds to that sense of flow. When you can join, pay, and play in seconds, the whole experience feels more modern and natural.
Voice and AI Assistants in Entertainment
Voice controls have quietly become part of everyday entertainment. Smart TVs, speakers, and game consoles now respond to voice commands, letting people search for a movie or turn up the volume without using a remote. Assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant have turned talking to technology into a normal habit. A simple request can now open an app, queue up a playlist, or continue a show without lifting a finger.
They also make it simpler for everyone to enjoy entertainment. Those who find menus or remotes tricky can just say what they want and let the device do the rest. Apps pick up on what you enjoy and recommend new shows, songs, or games to match, so you spend less time searching and more time watching or playing. Instead of clicking through layers of menus, users simply talk or tap, and the system responds. It’s quick, familiar, and increasingly built into the devices people already own.
Gaming and Interactive Experiences
Gaming has always been at the centre of innovation in user experience. Mobile titles now use clean layouts and simple gestures that allow anyone to start playing right away. Short rounds, auto-saves, and touch-based mechanics make games accessible to both casual players and long-time fans. On consoles and PCs, menus are getting lighter, with fewer barriers between turning the system on and playing.
With AR, digital objects appear in the world around you. VR lets you explore and interact with virtual spaces using your hands. Players can walk, reach, and interact naturally without relying on traditional controllers. Even classic party games like Jackbox or Codenames have been redesigned for smoother digital play. Everything points toward the same goal: making games easy to join and hard to put down.
Streaming and On-Demand UX
Streaming platforms continue to refine how people find and watch content. Platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ now let you start watching with a single tap and show suggestions based on what you’ve already watched. The aim is to remove friction so users spend less time scrolling and more time watching. Menus are simpler, layouts are cleaner, and predictive suggestions have become part of the experience.
Tapping and talking are now the main ways people interact with streaming platforms. A single tap starts a new episode, changes quality, or skips an intro, while voice commands let users open apps or find shows instantly. From phones and tablets to smart TVs, these features work smoothly on any device. Entertainment has become something that adapts to the user’s pace, not the other way around.
Looking Ahead to Seamless Experiences
The next phase of digital entertainment will focus on interaction that feels natural and effortless. Apps and devices are getting better at responding to what people do, using voice, touch, and gestures to make everything feel easier. Whether it’s streaming a new series, jumping into a multiplayer match, or managing payments through tools like PayID, people expect everything to happen quickly. Good design is now about removing barriers. From onboarding to payment, every second counts. Platforms that recognise this are the ones people return to.
Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have called off their divorce trial.
Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith call off divorce trial
The 47-year-old actor and the 39-year-old actress – who married in 2019 and split in 2023 – had been due to go to trial this week but asked that it be cancelled as they had been privately working on a custody deal for their five-year-old daughter Juno.
Jodie’s lawyer explained in court papers, obtained by Us Weekly: “[Turner-Smith and Jackson] are in the process of negotiating a custody judgment.
“The parties will return to the [a private judge they hired] to resolve any impasses in the proposed custody judgment.”
Jodie filed for divorce in October 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
In her initial petition, she requested joint custody of and asked that neither party be awarded spousal support.
The pair agreed a divorce settlement after working with a mediator to create a temporary schedule for the 50-50 custody of Juno, but they hit a roadblock when they were unable to agree on where the youngster will be educated.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Jodie wanted a judge to force the ‘Dr. Odyssey’ actor to abide by a court order giving her the power to choose Juno’s elementary school.
She wanted the youngster to move somewhere new next year and, after researching the school, spoke with Joshua about it and made sure it was close enough to his home, but claimed he has refused to agree.
In December, Jodie accused her estranged husband of not giving her any child support while their divorce case was still pending.
In the paperwork, Jodie claimed she has been trying to keep their separation amicable but accused her estranged husband of dragging things out, unnecessarily increasing her legal bills, and making it impossible to support their daughter without his financial assistance.
Prince Harry and King Charles III Are Not Speaking
Harry told the BBC May 2 that his father King Charles III won’t speak to him “because of this security stuff,” but added that “it would be nice to reconcile.”
The Duke of Sussex, who shares kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with Meghan, said that he would love to reconnect with his family. But the ball is in his dad’s court.
“I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he said. “It’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands, ultimately this whole thing could be resolved through him,” Harry added. “Not necessarily by intervening but by stepping aside and allowing the experts to do what is necessary and to carry on.”
Despite the years of conflict, he’s waving the white flag in hopes of reconciliation. He added, “Life is precious, I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

Saweetie Responds After Alleged Ex-Manager Publicly Accuses Her of Unpaid Debts: “These Claims Are False & Defamatory”
Saweetie is speaking out after a woman who allegedly claimed to have managed her publicly accused the rapper of unpaid debts and unprofessional behavior.
In a statement shared to her Instagram Story, Saweetie wrote:
“The recent accusations made about me are false, defamatory, and deeply disturbing. These claims misrepresent the facts and are solely aimed to damage my reputation.”
She continued,
“This person never managed me. She was simply introduced to me by family. Her motives are now obvious. I’ll let the lawyers take it from here.”
While Saweetie didn’t name anyone specifically, her response comes shortly after a woman identified online as Maybach Mayy began posting allegations that she previously worked as Saweetie’s manager or road manager.
Mayy claimed she helped organize appearances for the rapper — including one involving soccer player Jadon Sancho — but was never compensated. In now-viral social media posts, she accused Saweetie of using her relationship with the athlete to “avoid paying debts,” and made additional unverified claims about substance use and industry behavior.
In one post, Mayy reportedly wrote, “Sancho after you done paying & getting tattoos of a he u barely know, run me my money.”* She also referred to Saweetie as a “disappointment” and alleged that the rapper “owes several people money.”
As previously reported Yardbarker, neither Saweetie nor Jadon Sancho have addressed the accusations directly beyond Saweetie’s brief statement denying them.
As of now, no legal filings related to the situation appear to have been made public.
bitchy | Prince Andrew has given up his royal titles & honors, but he’s keeping Royal Lodge
I swear, the Windsors really have to stop with these late Friday news dumps. When I left my house this afternoon, there were several increasingly urgent stories about Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. Last weekend, Andrew’s 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein was published by the Daily Mail – that email proved that Andrew lied about when he broke off contact with Epstein, and the email also suggested that Andrew and Epstein planned to continue seeing each other and abusing women and girls together. Throughout the past week, the fallout has been limited to palace sources openly dithering about what to do next, all while emphasizing that they believed dealing with Prince Harry was a “greater priority” for the Firm. Well, I was wrong – I thought nothing would come out of this latest round of dithering about Andrew. But something happened. Andrew is now giving up all of his titles and honors.
Prince Andrew is discontinuing the use of his royal titles and honors.
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, Oct. 17, Prince Andrew said he will no longer use his title or honors as it distracts from the work of King Charles and the royal family.
Andrew, 65, said in the statement, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”
“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” he continued. “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
To officially strip Prince Andrew’s titles, it would require an act of parliament.
Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will no longer use her Duchess of York title. She has long gone by Sarah Ferguson professionally and will now use that name in all areas of her life, PEOPLE understands. The former couple will also continue to reside at their residence, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Castle estate, as Andrew has a private tenancy agreement with The Crown Estate, which is unaffected by issues relating to his titles.
PEOPLE also understands that Andrew will not attend any of the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.
The former couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will not have their titles affected by this decision.
Prince Andrew has been styled as “His Royal Highness” since birth. Upon his marriage to Sarah Ferguson in 1986, his mother, Queen Elizabeth, gave him the titles of Duke of York, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh. The Duke of York is the traditional title for the sovereign’s second son, and the elite peerage has a rich royal history. According to British etiquette expert Debrett’s, the dukedom has been traditionally conferred upon the second son of the monarch since Edward IV in 1474. Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, was also known as the Duke of York prior to the shocking abdication of his elder brother, King Edward VIII, in 1936.
The Royal Lodge thing is interesting, almost as if that was part of the agreement – Andrew gave up his titles and honors, in exchange for keeping his lease on Royal Lodge. I’ve got to wonder if Charles threw in a few more perks to sweeten the deal, like Andrew will still be allowed to host shooting parties on privately-owned royal property (Windsor, Sandringham, Balmoral). It’s also interesting that Sarah is officially giving up her Duchess of York title too, although people already went back to using her maiden name anyway. Whew… well, it had to be done. And a lot more should be done as well, including Andrew agreeing to be interviewed in the long-running criminal investigations in the UK and America. Also: should we call him Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor now?
