Actor Clifton Powell is speaking out about his negative views on Spike Lee, claiming the acclaimed director has a habit of mistreating those close to him when it comes to business.

In a recent interview on “The Art Of Dialogue,” Powell revealed that while he respects Lee’s impact on cinema, he believes the filmmaker often fails to take care of his own people.

Powell suggested that Lee would specifically mistreat Black people, some of which Powell knew.

Additionally, Powell says he didn’t like Lee criticizing Tyler Perry, which also motivated him to speak out against the filmmaker in the past.

Prince William and Kate’s post-Harry-visit vacation is going to hit like crack next week. In the past seven days, we’ve seen more of William and Kate than we have at any point in the year. It’s wild that no one is calling them out on it, right? That none of the royal commentators will actually say the words “William and Kate are desperate for attention and they’re clout-chasing Prince Harry during his four-day visit.” What the royal reporters will say and write is pretty funny though. Take, for example, Sky News’ Rhiannon Mills, who wrote an “analysis” piece: “William and Harry show separate commitment to shared causes – it shows what a powerful team they could be.” Sob, why didn’t Harry divorce his wife and come back to do all of William’s work? They could have been a TEAM!!

This industrial estate in Nottingham was certainly not the glamour of California. But Prince Harry could not have seemed more at home during his trip back, which was ultimately to see friends. Ever since he left for America, he’s stayed in touch privately with community groups that do the vital work of trying to keep young people out of trouble and tackle youth violence. They have been discreet about his contact, and loyal to him.

So now it felt like he was paying them back – with a huge million-pound donation from his own pocket, not from his charitable foundation. That’s particularly interesting because we don’t usually get told the amounts royals donate. But also when there’s been so much chat about Harry and his money since he left the comfort of the Royal Family.

It also seems to show a firm commitment to the UK that we’ve not physically seen from him in a while. Is this the half-in, half-out royal life that he always wanted? Other family members don’t have a choice, of course.

In London, Prince William was making a similar type of visit to an event in Lambeth focused on what his homelessness initiative, Homewards, is trying to do more specifically for young people.

I was once told by a palace insider that Harry would be William’s wingman when he became king. Their ongoing commitment to the same issues shows how much they could still be a powerful team if they could patch things up.

As I watched Harry walk out of the recording studios, there was a serious feeling of deja vu. This had felt so similar to engagements I’d done with him on this very spot in the past, and that is hard to square with what’s happened over the last five years.

We thought he was leaving, but instead, he hopped over a small wall to chat and take photos with the crowd, despite his security team trying to guide him to the car. Will there be any other unexpected sights over the next two days? We’ll have to wait and see.

This is all so pitiful from everyone involved in the UK – William’s half-assed, last-minute busywork to “compete” with Harry, royal reporters mocking Harry’s charitable donation, royal reporters wistfully dreaming of Harry coming back to be William’s “wingman,” since they know William isn’t up to the job, nor does William have any charisma, work ethic or charm. It’s been so many years, and there’s still this refusal from the Windsors, the press and the royalists to acknowledge their massive role in everything that happened. None of them can say “actually, we should have treated Harry and Meghan better, then they would have stayed.”

Carmelo Anthony Thanks Son & Daughter In Hall Of Fame Speech

It was a significant weekend for Carmelo Anthony and his basketball career legacy. The former Nuggets player got inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday (Sept. 6), and brought his children, Kiyan and Genesis Anthony, with him for the moment! As he made his way into the venue, the Associated Press reports that “Melo! Melo!” chants welcomed him. Anthony retired from the NBA in 2023 with a bittersweet video on social media.

Carmelo Anthony Credits His Son & Daughter In Speech

As soon as he touched the stage at the induction, Anthony appeared emotionally overwhelmed. He teared up over the energy in the air and the full-circle moment of reaching the basketball Hall of Fame against all the odds stacked against him growing up in Brooklyn and Baltimore.

“Tonight I just don’t step into the Hall of Fame, I carry the echoes of every voice that ever told me I couldn’t. I walk with the shadows of every alley, every cracked court, every empty plate. I stand for the dreamers, the doubted, the dismissed, for every soul trapped in a place where I broke free from…I had to build a new road. I had to write a new ending,” Anthony reportedly said.

Aside from thanking his parents, his siblings, Syracuse University, the NBA, and others, he also name-dropped his children, Kiyan and Genesis.

“Raising children in this world is revoluntionary. I didn’t just want to be a basketball player. I wanted to be a model of redemption, of accountability, of love. My kids saved me,” he said, pointing to them in the crowd. “They gave me a reason to move past ego, past noise, past criticism. They reminded me that legacy isn’t what you leave behind, it’s what you lift up.”

More Details About Carmelo’s Two Kids

Melo’s fans are familiar with his firstborn, Kiyan Anthony. The former pro-athlete and La La Anthony, whom he later married in 2010 and divorced in 2021, welcomed their son in March 2007. Over the years, the separated parents have come together to celebrate their mini-me. That includes his basketball games and his high school graduation in May. On the court, he’s a four-star shooting guard. He’s following in his father’s footsteps this fall after committing to Syracuse University and its college basketball team. Most recently, the 18-year-old went viral after flexing his relationship with 22-year-old Angel Bradley.

Kiyan is also an older brother to Genesis Anthony, whom Carmelo welcomed with Mia Burks in  August 2017. At the time, he was still married to La La. According to PEOPLE, the married couple separated briefly in April 2017 and reconciled in late 2018 before she filed for divorce in 2021. Burke was public about Carmelo’s paternity, but he held his tongue on their parenting affairs, per PEOPLE. In May 2023, he publicly confirmed being a father of two while announcing his retirement from the NBA. He included a picture of Kiyan and Genesis in the video. His daughter’s sighting at the induction is one of the most recent and rare. Carmelo and Mia celebrated her birthday last month with a Knicks-themed party.

Dwight Howard Also Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

Carmelo Anthony wasn’t the only honoree on Saturday. Dwight Howard also cemented his legacy with a Hall of Fame induction. Despite his playful nature on the court, he’s one of four players with three Defensive Player of the Year awards. In his speech, he lovingly mentioned his mother’s sacrifices.

“My mother lost seven children and he allowed me to bring sunshine into her life,” he said. “I’m just honored to stand in front of you as one of the greatest basketball players ever.”

Even his wife Amy Luciani, who entered the picture following his retirement from the NBA after the 2021-22 season, got a shoutout as she sat in the crowd supporting her man, her man, her man! “I love you, and I’m truly blessed to have you a part of my life,” Dwight said. Their public reconciliation comes after several accusations she made against him in June, all of which he denied the following month.

Additionally, in his Hall of Fame speech, Howard shared a motivational message with the audience: “This is your universe, this is your one song. How do you want your song to sound when people hear it? Will they want to throw it out or run it back? And remember, you only die once, but you live every day.”

Rupert Murdoch is known for his career as a media tycoon. But he’s also a family man and has successfully raised seven children to adulthood. Rupert and his first wife, model Patricia Booker, married in 1956, had their only child Prudence in 1958 and later divorced in 1967. That same year, the newspaper powerhouse married journalist Anna Mann (Torv), and they had three children together between the late 60’s and early 70’s — Elisabeth, Lachlan and James.

After divorcing Anna in 1999, he married Wendi Deng, with whom he had his two youngest children in the early 2000’s, Grace and Chloe. Wendi and Murdoch were divorced by 2013. In 2016, he married for the fourth time, to model (and Mick Jagger‘s ex) Jerry Hall. They didn’t have any children, and on June 22, 2022, the couple announced their split. Prudence MacLeod

Prudence “Prue” Murdoch MacLeod was born in 1958 in Adelaide, South Australia, to Patricia, a former model and flight attendant, and Rupert. The billionaire’s eldest child has been married twice — to Crispin Odey, for only one year, and Alasdair MacLeod, whom she married in 1989. She had three children with her second husband, James, Angus and Clementine, all of Sydney.

She followed in her father’s footsteps, and according to her Wikipedia page, she has held directorial roles in Rupert’s News Corporation, and currently serves as a board member of Times Newspapers, Ltd. She’s also worked as a journalist and tabloid researcher for News of the World.

Prudence reportedly never chased after her father’s vast empire. “I’ve always been low-key and not many people know about me… I just love that,” she once told The Guardian.  Together with Alasdair, she launched Macdoch Ventures. The company utilizes the family’s massive wealth to, as described on their official site, “support Australia & New Zealand’s late seed stage founders.”

Elisabeth Murdoch

Elisabeth is Rupert’s only daughter from his marriage Anna, and the eldest of the three resulting from his second union. Born in August 22, 1968 in Sydney, she was named after her paternal grandma, Dame Elisabeth Murdoch. She attended the Brearly School in New York and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Vassar College. She’s been married three times — first to Elkin Kwesi Pianim, from 1993-1998. The couple had two children, Cornelia Pianim (born 1994) and Anna Pianim, born in 1997 before their divorce in 1998.

She married Matthew Freud, PR executive and great grandson of Sigmund Freud, in 2001 and had two children with him, as well, though little is publicly known about them. They divorced in 2014, and she married artist Keith Tyson in 2017. Once favored to take over her father’s empire, Elisabeth founded production company Shine Group in 2001. She then made herself rich by selling it back to Rupert’s News Corp in 2011.

Lachlan Murdoch

Born on September 8, 1971 in London, England, Lachlan Keith Murdoch is Rupert’s first son with Anna and the younger brother of Elisabeth. His Scottish journalist mother and billionaire dad raised him in New York City, where his dad owned and ran the New York Post. James was educated at Massachusetts school Phillips Academy and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in philosophy from Princeton in 1994.

The British media heir is now executive chairman of Nova Entertainment, co-chairman of his father’s News Corp, and CEO of Fox Corporation. He also founded an Australian investment company. Lachlan’s longtime marriage to actress Sarah O’Hare began in 1999. The couple have three children. Sons Kalan Alexander and Aidan Patrick were born in 2004 and 2006, respectively. Their daughter, Aerin Elisabeth, once again drawing off the female family name, was born in 2010. Lachlan and his wife own multimillion dollar estates in New South Wales, Aspen Colorado, and Los Angeles.

James Murdoch

James Rupert Jacob Murdoch was born only a year after his older brother Lachlan, on December 13, 1972, in London. According to a 2021 report by Tatler, James no longer has a relationship with his powerful father. The youngest child of Rupert and Anna dropped out of Harvard after studying film and history, started a record label called Rawkus Records, and was ultimately CEO of 20th Century Fox from 2015-2019. He holds dual citizenship in the UK and US. He also had dealings with News Corp as a CEO for Europe and Asia, and later as a member of the board of directors, which he stepped down from in 2020.

James married Kathryn Hufschmid back in 2000, and the couple welcomed three children together. Anneka, born in 2003, Walter, born in 2004, and Emerson, born in 2008. The couple launched nonprofit Quadrivium Foundation together and have notably donated to the Clinton Foundation and the Biden campaign.

Grace & Chloe Murdoch

Grace (born 2001) and Chloe Murdoch (born 2003) are Rupert’s two youngest daughters, both born to his third wife, Wendi Deng. Tony Blair is reportedly Grace’s godfather. According to Tatler, they each stand to inherit billions after an extraordinarily lavish childhood. They were flower girls at dad’s fourth wedding to Jerry Hall and seem to have had a close relationship with their stepsister Georgia May Jagger — the famous daughter of Jerry and her ex-lover, legendary Rolling Stone front man Mick Jagger.

Nina Dobrev has revealed her struggle for equal pay on The Vampire Diaries.

Nina Dobrev had a real struggle for equal pay on The Vampire Diaries

The 36-year-old actress – who starred alongside Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder in the first six seasons of the supernatural teen drama – has recalled the arguments she faced as she was being paid less than her male castmates, despite playing but Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on the show.

In Samantha Highfill’s new book I Was Feeling Epic: An Oral History of The Vampire Diarie, Nina said: “Candice [King], Kat [Graham], and I were the three lowest-paid series regulars in the first two seasons.

“It was a bit of a tricky situation because my contract only said to play Elena, but I was playing multiple characters, which doubled my workload.”

She alleged despite having a more demanding schedule thanks to playing doppelgänger versions of Elena, she wasn’t compensation fairly in comparison to her co-stars.

She added: “I had to be on set for double the amount of time, I had to memorise double the amount of lines.

“I wanted to play Katherine, but I wanted to be compensated fairly for that, and I wanted to be an equal to the boys.”

After pleading her case, she has alleged the studio actually asked wrtiers to stop writing for Katherine to avoid having to pay more.

She recalled: “I remember feeling like the studio didn’t appreciate what I was bringing to the show, and it felt like they were saying that all the hard work I was putting into it didn’t matter to them and that I wasn’t an equal to my male counterparts, and so that was upsetting to me.”

She later returned for the eighth and final season, but the offer was “five times less” than what she was paid in season six.

She said: “I needed to be paid parity to the boys. I had to put my foot down and say if it didn’t happen I wouldn’t be able to come back.

“And it wasn’t about the money — I didn’t give a s*** about the money at all — it was the principle.”

Nina argued she was concerned less by the “actual dollar amount”, and more by getting equal pay, and when that happened, she “politely declined the offer”.

Co-creator and showrunner Julie Plec backed her, with the studio agreeing to bring her back at her asking rate, but for just one episode instead of the entire run.

While she “wanted to be part of the goodbye”, Nina added: “It was heartbreaking that the artistry had to suffer because of this.”

The cast as a whole has been good about staying in touch, Ali told E! News in 2023, revealing, “We all have a text chain.” 

And while we couldn’t get the story all about how they relive their years together, she told E!, “It’s a real blessing that anything that you make or are a part of making could mean that much to people.”

Chance the Rapper says he and ex-wife Kirsten Corley remain deeply connected despite their split.

On a recent episode of “Funky Friday” with Cam Newton, Chance reflected on co-parenting and the bond they’ve built around their daughters Kensli, 9, and Marli, 6.

“We’re two humans that have known each other forever it feels like,” he said. “Even if none of that existed, we’d be locked in forever.”

While he admitted their dynamic isn’t always picture-perfect, Chance made it clear they’ve found balance. “I’m not going to make it seem like I send her ‘Grand rising, queen’ every day,” he joked.

He also emphasized their shared commitment to raising strong, unified children. “We learn how to make concessions to do what’s best for the kids,” Chance explained.

The Grammy winner added that they even travel together and prioritize stability. “Ain’t nobody coming between us,” he said. “It only makes sense for us to be on the same page.”

There’s been so much clownery with the commentary around the Princess of Wales’ blonde wiglet of doom. There are literal hair colorists and hair-styling professionals swearing up and down that Kate’s blonde wig was brilliant, and that Kate’s hair was still some kind of blonde shade in her two subsequent appearances post-Blonde Wig. The Daily Mail had a full exclusive about how Kate was absolutely still blonde over the weekend, when she went to a rugby game, as hair stylists swore that it was all a matter of lighting. Then Kate made an appearance on Monday sans blonde wiglet, and… almost nothing. Well, at least the Royalist Substack is calling her out, I guess? Tom Sykes’ headline: “Kate’s Hair Needs to Decide If It Belongs to an Influencer or a Royal.”

My own opinion was that Kate’s blonde hair didn’t look great, but I couldn’t really put my finger on why, until a stylist and make-up artist friend, speaking anonymously as they have regularly worked for various royals, told me, “On Kate, it just looks a bit tacky. I hate to say it, but she looks more like an influencer than a royal.”

I checked back in with them on Saturday evening after the new pictures were published, and asked for their updated opinion: “Tying the hair back was a smart move because it has reined in the more overt caramel tones,” they said. “It’s also squashed the speculation she was wearing a wig. She is not wearing a wig, that’s very clear, but it definitely looks like she is wearing extremely expensive hair extensions.”

I asked my friend how much they thought the absence of Natasha Archer might have been responsible for the debacle earlier this week. They said: “Archer put everything together for Kate. She was there on every trip, she was there when she had to face the cameras after the birth of her kids for god’s sake. She was her rock, so it’s a huge loss. I’m told she was someone who knew how to say, ‘maybe not’ to Kate which is so important. Personally I think Kate was mad to let her go and she was mad to leave. Kate should get her back. The gossip is that Archer was frustrated by Kate not doing many events, but, you know, that is going to change one of these days.”

Another source in the fashion world told The Royalist: “Her hair looks better tied back because it’s very elegant to have your hair half up and half down. Because the hair extensions are so voluminous she looked odd with all of it down. No one’s hair looks like that at her age. She looked like a mermaid. Now she has tied it back, she has lovely thick hair, but it’s not overwhelming her head.”

The source added: “I have heard that she has actually had hair extensions for a long time, so I think what happened is she just went a bit far. That happens. I think the hair extensions she has now are out of proportion. Had she not gone quite as far with them, no one would have suspected. But it looks amazing pulled back because she is a beautiful girl so I think everyone is going to be very, very happy now.”

Saturday’s look was certainly much more elegant than Thursday’s, when Kate looked like a mouse peeking out of a haystack.

As someone who has written about Kate’s hairpieces for years, it’s wild to see any kind of mainstream discourse on this subject, just as it’s hilarious for people to finally acknowledge that Kate has been wearing extensions, hairpieces, falls and wigs for many, many years. Again, I’m not saying this is the most concerning issue of our time or anything, but the conversation perfectly encapsulates how Kate is infantilized by the British press and how Kate is protected and coddled by the royal institution – they lie so blatantly about her hairpieces, don’t you wonder if they’re lying about other things too? Kate’s blonde wig was apparently the bridge too far – suddenly, you’ve got royalists questioning Kate’s tacky aesthetic and suggesting that she wants to look like an influencer? You’ve got people openly talking about Kate’s history of hairpieces? I guarantee that Kate plopped that blonde wig on her head last week because she was trying to get attention and change the story from “work-shy royals demanded a fifth forever home.”

Is Hilary Duff Going on Tour in 2026? All About Her New Music Era – Hollywood Life

Hey now, hey now — in case you forgot, Hilary Duff was one of the most popular singers of the early 2000s. Paving the way for some of the Disney Channel’s future stars, she led the sitcom Lizzie McGuire, its titular movie and what would have been its revival series until it was discontinued. But when it came to music, Hilary’s fans all knew her timeless bops, such as “Come Clean,” “So Yesterday,” “Metamorphosis” and plenty more. And now, she’s making her epic comeback as a singer! So, when will her new album be released, and is it possible for Hilary to go on tour for the first time in over a decade?

Hollywood Life has rounded up what we know so far about Hilary’s long-awaited return to music.

When Will Hilary Duff Release Her New Album?

Hilary signed with Atlantic Records in September 2025, and she’s in the studio working on her new album. Therefore, it’s too soon to determine when it will be released.

Less than two weeks prior, the Disney Channel alum teased a comeback in an Instagram post. In an August 2025 carousel, Hilary celebrated the 22nd anniversary of her album Metamorphosis.

“Clearly, I had to go digging around the internet for pictures from this time as I’m not sure camera phones even existed,” Hilary wrote in the caption alongside photos of herself from the 2000s. “Sadly all my hairstyles ARE very documented. I do know this marker of time was a huge change in my being. I was embarking on something I had no idea would make such an impact on peoples lives, and mine. As much as I look back and think this album doesn’t hold the emotional depth I look for today, I know my 14/15 year-old self meant every word. It sure as hell also landed on people at the right moment in time and set me off on a pretty epic adventure.”

Hilary also recalled “some of [her] first shows being in a skate park in San Jose, [California], and very shortly after, stepping out on stage in arenas.”

Does This Mean Hilary Duff Is Going on Tour?

Hilary has not confirmed whether she’s planning a tour, but it would make sense if she did to perform all her new music.

When Was the Last Time Hilary Duff Went on a Tour?

Hilary’s last tour was her Dignity Tour from 2007 to 2008. Her first was the Metamorphosis Tour from 2003 to 2004, which skyrocketed the then-teenager to stardom.

How Many Kids Does Hilary Duff Have Now?

Hilary is a proud mom of four children in total now. She shares her son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie and her three other children, Banks, Mae and Townes with husband Matthew Koma.
