Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan and more celebrities were photographed attending Thamma’s special screening. The actors posed for the paparazzi and media personnel outside the venue while waving at their fans, who were waiting to catch a glimpse of them.

Rashmika was seen in a beautiful beige traditional ensemble with a vibrant green dupatta. Ayushmann, on the other hand, sported an all-black formal ensemble. He completed his look with matching shades and jet-black footwear. Varun Dhawan was seen in a yellow sheer shirt with white pants. Huma Qureshi also attended the screening. She donned a beautiful blue saree, with golden and red detailing. Abhay Verma was seen in a casual monochrome T-shirt, paired with jeans.

Thamma, a Maddock film, is releasing on the occasion of Diwali. It will hit the theatres on October 21, 2025.

On Saturday afternoon, Zoom TV shared exclusive leaked photos from the film’s set, revealing Alia in a striking 90s-inspired avatar.

In the pictures, Alia channels a classic vintage look, wearing a traditional saree with her hair tied up in a voluminous bun. She also sported a nose pin and bold eye makeup, exuding timeless grace and elegance — a style Bhansali is known for crafting with precision.

While details of the film’s plot remain under wraps, Love and War stars Alia alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film marks Alia’s second collaboration with Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi, and her reunion with both Ranbir and Vicky has sparked massive excitement among fans.

In a previous interview with News18 Showsha, Alia shared her enthusiasm: “I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate again after so many years. I’m like, ‘Wow, what’s that going to be like?’” Speaking about Vicky, she added, “Vicky and I coming together again; and Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it’s a lot of exciting combinations.”

Thamma – the fifth film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, is all set to release on October 21 and the hype surrounding it is at an all time high. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, the film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and is believed to be based on the supernatural mythical creatures- vampires. But is it true? Announced as Vampires of Vijay Nagar in June 2024, the film was renamed Thamma in September 2024.

Clarifying that Thamma is not about vampires but about betaals – an evil spirit from Indian folklore who haunts cemeteries and takes demonic possession of corpses, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “Hum isko bolte hain betaalism (not vampirism). Betaal hai hai, vampire nahi. It’s based in Indian folklore. Thamma humare film ka naam hai, Ashvatthama se iska (naam liya hai). Thamma from Ashvatthama, Dinesh Vijan hain yeh. Unhone ne idea nikala and the most powerful betaal is Thamma.”

AP Dhillon reveals why he refused to sing for Bollywood despite offer from ‘huge actors’: They exploit the song, artiste

Punjabi singer AP Dhillon has carved a niche for himself by entertaining audiences with chart-topping hits such as Brown Munde, Excuses, With You and Dil Nu, among others. In a recent conversation on a podcast with YouTube channel SMTV, Dhillon opened up about why he has never sung for Bollywood and accused certain actors of exploiting artistes.

AP Dhillon discussed refusing to sing for Bollywood and said in Punjabi, “I’ll tell you why I’ve never done a Bollywood song yet. It’s only because I care for my people. It’s not about Bollywood. I want to set an example for my people. I told them that I’m happy to do a song for them, but they must first change the way they do business. They exploit the song and the artiste for their own profit. I don’t want to take names, but a couple of huge actors said that they want my music in their film. I made the song; we even had the scene in mind. But they want to own the song, they want the rights to the song, the remix rights, they want to exploit. That’s not correct.”

He further added, “So, I told them that until they change this, I can’t do a song with them. If I do it, then junior artistes will also have to do it, and I don’t want them to. I don’t want a young artiste to lose out on their source of income by selling their hit song. I don’t want them to be exploited. But the only problem is that the other A-listers are still giving songs.”

Dhillon went on to explain that unless other Punjabi artistes draw a line and say no, there will be no real progress. He noted that if he refuses, Bollywood producers would simply approach the next big Punjabi artiste, as there are “only three or four” of them.

While many Punjabi singers such as Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, Honey Singh and Badshah have delivered hit songs in Bollywood, AP Dhillon has so far refrained from lending his voice to the industry. He recently collaborated with Shreya Ghoshal on the track Thodi Si Daaru, which also featured Tara Sutaria.

The singer has announced his ‘One of One India Tour’, during which he will perform in eight cities. The tour will kick off on 5 December in Ahmedabad, followed by Delhi on 7 December, Ludhiana on 12 December, Pune on 14 December, Bengaluru on 19 December, Kolkata on 21 December, Mumbai on 26 December, and will conclude in Jaipur on 28 December.

In an interview with Hautterfly, Diana said, “I think every girl in Bombay has gone through this. To go to college, St. Xavier’s, I used to take the train — the central line from Byculla to VT and then walk to college. There’s catcalling, and people try to elbow you. It became a part of daily life. I was a very shy, underconfident, self-conscious, and awkward girl. I would go into a shell. It would scare me. I didn’t have the confidence to elbow back.”

Diana Penty On Being Body-Shamed For Being Too Skinny

Diana further shared that she was body shamed right from childhood to the age of six, seven years ago. Even before she entered Bollywood, Diana faced harsh comments about her appearance. The Cocktail actress shared, “It scared me. You’re a child, and if people keep telling you, ‘Oh, you’re so skinny, you don’t eat?’ And some aunties would go up to my mother and say this. She used to get so irritated and upset — like, why wouldn’t I feed my child? As a child, it scars you, you start becoming conscious of the fact that you’re too skinny.”

She added that the pressure to gain weight became an obsession during her childhood. She continued, “I remember my mother took me to a pediatric dietician when I was very young, and she told her to feed me six bananas a day. I don’t know if I managed to do six bananas a day, but I think I might have done four or something, and nothing worked. So, from the time you’re so young and these things are impressionable, and so I always tried to put on weight because it affects you. So, it’s the opposite for the people who are too skinny go through exactly the same feelings as people who are slightly larger as well. It’s body shaming at the end of the day.”

Diana Penty On Body Insecurities

The actress also admitted she struggled with how she saw herself for a long time. “My insecurities have only been this whole body insecurity of being too skinny and too tall. Now, I look at it as a boon and I look at it as an advantage. But back then, when you’re much younger and a bit sillier, it was an insecurity for me. I always wanted to fit in. So, I would always be the one stooping to get to everyone else’s height. I used to not wear fitted clothes or sleeveless because I’d look too skinny. I went through a phase of being very tomboyish and wearing cargo pants and loose shirts. It was awful.”
