‘We’ll Never Leave Each Other’: Govinda’s Perfect Reply After Panicked Sunita Loses 38-Year-Old Engagement Ring

by jummy84 October 20, 2025

The star-studded Karva Chauth celebrations at Shilpa Shetty’s residence are always a glamorous affair, but this year’s gathering was marked by a moment of high-stakes drama for one of Bollywood’s most enduring couples. Sunita Ahuja, wife of 90s superstar Govinda, was thrown into a state of panic after she realized she had lost her precious engagement ring, a gift from her husband 38 years ago.

The glittering event, which took place on Sunday, saw the industry’s “Karva Chauth gang” in full attendance, with celebrities like Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari, and others joining Shilpa for the festivities. Sunita, looking stunning in a traditional red and gold ensemble, was part of the celebrations when her joyous evening took a heart-stopping turn. According to a source present at the party, Sunita suddenly realized that her solitaire engagement ring was missing from her finger.

A frantic search immediately ensued. The atmosphere of celebration quickly turned to one of concern as Sunita became “visibly upset.” Shilpa Shetty’s household staff was alerted, and party guests began meticulously retracing steps, searching for the priceless piece of jewelry. The ring wasn’t just valuable for its diamond, but for its immense sentimental worth, being the original ring Govinda had given her to mark their engagement nearly four decades ago.

As the search proved fruitless, a distraught Sunita made a tearful call to her husband, Govinda, to tell him the news. What happened next has become a testament to their long-lasting bond and has left fans in awe of the actor.

Instead of reacting with anger or frustration, Govinda was the epitome of calm and reassurance. Sensing his wife’s distress, he immediately put the loss into perspective with a response that has melted hearts. A source revealed, “Govinda was incredibly sweet and calm. He told her, ‘Sunita, hum kabhi ek dusre ko chorenge nahi, anguthi chali gayi toh kya hua?’ (Sunita, we will never leave each other, so what if the ring is gone?).”

His words, prioritizing their 38-year partnership over any material object, instantly “calmed her down.” But the superstar didn’t stop there. In a grand romantic gesture, he followed up his reassurance with a promise. He told Sunita not to worry or spoil her evening over the lost ring, promising to buy her a brand new, “bigger diamond ring” to replace it.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja, who have been married for 38 years and are parents to two children, Yashvardhan and Tina, are often cited as one of Bollywood’s most solid and enduring couples. Their journey has been filled with highs and lows, but their unwavering support for each other has been a constant.

While the original engagement ring may be lost, Govinda’s heartwarming reaction has only served to reinforce the strength of their relationship. The incident, which began with panic, has now turned into a sweet anecdote that showcases a masterclass in love and partnership from the veteran actor. It’s a poignant reminder that while symbols of love are precious, the love itself is what remains truly invaluable.

Like every year, Bollywood is glowing with festive spirit, and actress Shilpa Shetty is fully embracing the Diwali mood. The Sukhee star recently gave fans a sneak peek into her vibrant Diwali preparations through Instagram Stories, offering glimpses of sweet boxes, festive décor, and heartwarming sibling banter.

In a video shared online, Shilpa captured her sister Shamita Shetty creating a stunning lotus-shaped rangoli by hand. Amused and impressed, Shilpa teased her sister, saying, “Wah, when you have an artist in the house… Wah, Shamita! Very nice, darwaze ke paas bhi karna haan,” followed by her trademark laughter. Shamita, keeping up with the fun, playfully asked, “Anything else?”

Highlighting their different approaches to the tradition, Shilpa shared another clip showing herself using stencils for rangoli while Shamita continued to craft hers meticulously by hand. The two sisters wrapped up their rangoli session by lighting diyas and wishing fans a joyful “Happy Diwali.”

However, amid the celebrations, Shilpa is also dealing with serious legal trouble. She and her husband Raj Kundra are currently facing a ₹60 crore cheating case filed by businessman Deepak Kothari. The complaint alleges that funds invested in Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, linked to Raj, were misused. The matter is under review in the Bombay High Court.

She also revealed that Bandra’s iconic Bastian will be rebranded as Ammakai, a South Indian restaurant, while Bastian Beach Club will open in Juhu.

On the film front, Shilpa will next appear in the Kannada action film KD – The Devil alongside Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt. Shamita Shetty was last seen in the 2023 film The Tenant.

Farah teases Jackie about Polio ad

At one point, Farah brought up the iconic polio advertisement that once made Jackie Shroff an internet sensation. The behind-the-scenes video of the ad, which featured Jackie abusing people while urging them to vaccinate their children, became viral years after its release in 89-90. The internet has not yet stopped laughing at Jackie’s unfiltered delivery, turning it into a meme goldmine across social media platforms. What was once a government awareness campaign suddenly turned into a pop-culture moment, celebrated for its mix of humour, lots of curse words and Jackie’s signature swagger.

Farah couldn’t resist teasing him about the advertisement and said, “Gali dene wale man ke saaf hote hai. (People who abuse are pure at heart)” Jackie, quick with his wit, immediately corrected her with a grin: “Aise mat bolo, sab gaali dene lag jaenge aur mujhe bolenge! (Don’t say like that, as everyone would abuse and will blame me)” The lighthearted exchange had everyone on set in splits, including Farah’s cook in splits.

Jackie’s latest work

On the professional front, Jackie Shroff has been keeping busy. He was recently seen in Housefull 5 alongside Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. He was also seen in Anupam Kher’s directorial Tanvi The Great, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Jackie was also part of the hit Telugu film They Call Hik OG, which starred Pawan Kalyan in the lead. His upcoming films include Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri and Welcome To The Jungle.

About Farah’s cooking vlog

Farah Khan and Dilip’s cooking vlog has become a fan-favourite series for its mix of food, fun, and celebrity candour. Over the months, several stars, including Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Chunky Panday, Sania Mirza, and Karan Johar, have joined Farah in the kitchen to share laughs and interesting recipes.

Diwali 2025: A Look at Top Festive Scenes in Hollywood Films and TV Shows

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Diwali has always found its way into some of the most beloved Hollywood TV shows and films, featuring heartfelt moments to humorous misunderstandings. As the Festival of Lights continues to gain recognition around the world, these on-screen portrayals reflect a growing appreciation for South Asian culture. Here’s a look at how Diwali has been celebrated, or referenced, in popular Western media, from The Office to Never Have I Ever.

1. The Office – Diwali (Season 3, Episode 6)

This is the most iconic Diwali episode in American TV. Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and the Dunder Mifflin team attend a Diwali party hosted by Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling). Michael mistakenly thinks it’s a costume party and arrives in costume but he eventually embraces the event’s true spirit and ends the night by proposing to his girlfriend, Carol. Elsewhere, Jim stays late at the office and gets involved in a drinking game with Andy. Pam later reaches out to connect with Jim, but he doesn’t respond.

2. Ms. Marvel – Episode 2

Diwali

While not entirely focused on Diwali, the show includes beautiful South Asian cultural representation, including festive attire, music and family gatherings that resemble Diwali celebrations. Kamala Khan continues to discover and test her new powers with the help of Bruno. She goes to a party with her friends and begins to uncover more about her family history through her great-grandmother’s mysterious bangle. Meanwhile, her friend Nakia decides to run for a position on the mosque board. Kamala also meets the charming Kamran, and later, he’s revealed to have a deeper connection to her story when he introduces her to his mother, who appears linked to the bangle. The episode ends with Kamala and Kamran bonding over their shared love of Bollywood, just before Kamran reveals that his mother has been wanting to meet Kamala.

3. Outsourced – Season 1, Episode 8

Diwali
Outsourced is a rom-com where a U.S. executive is sent to India and experiences cultural immersion, including a beautiful Diwali festival scene. In the episode, the American manager Todd immerses himself in the festival and gains a deeper understanding of its cultural importance. Wanting to support his team, he gives his employees time off to celebrate, choosing to handle work calls on his own. During this time, he ends up spending the night with his Australian colleague, Tonya.

4. Big Bang Theory – Occasional References

Diwali
While there’s no full Diwali episode, Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) mentions Diwali multiple times and there’s at least one scene with the gang attending Indian festivities. They sing Bollywood songs like Munni Badnam and reference Indian culture humorously.

5. The Simpsons – Treehouse of Horror XXVIII

Diwali
A very short but colourful Diwali reference happens in one of the episodes of Simpsons. It is a glimpse in a montage-style moment. It is not a full scene, but worth a mention for including Diwali in a pop culture icon like The Simpsons.

6. Never Have I Ever – Season 2, Episode 4 (…Been a Perfect Girl)

Diwali
Devi attends a Ganesh Puja, which is similar in setting to Diwali with colourful outfits, family drama and cultural events. She attempts to befriend Aneesa, a new Indian student but things take a turn when she spreads a rumour. True but sensitive, the rumour is about Aneesa having an eating disorder. At the same time, Eleanor sneaks out with Devi and Aneesa to meet Malcolm. Meanwhile, Devi has an uncomfortable run-in with Ben, who makes it clear he’s still upset with her and that their friendship hasn’t been repaired.

7. The Resident (Medical Drama) – Season 2 Episode “00:42:30”

Diwali

The episode features a hospital-hosted Diwali celebration with Indian staff and patients taking part. It attempts to show diversity in medical settings with subtle but respectful Diwali representation.

The Heir Apparent: Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Regal Cover Has Fans Anointing Him ‘Prince Of Pataudi’

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

In what is being hailed as a spectacular royal arrival, Ibrahim Ali Khan, the much-anticipated actor-in-the-making, has set the internet ablaze with his latest magazine cover for Lifestyle Asia India. Channeling the very essence of his Pataudi lineage, the October 2025 cover shoot has fans and fashion critics alike in agreement: Bollywood’s new “Prince of Pataudi” has officially made his presence known.

The son of actor Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh, Ibrahim has long been in the spotlight, but this new photoshoot marks a significant shift from a “star kid” to a formidable new face in the industry. The cover itself is a masterclass in regal elegance. Shot against a rich, classic backdrop, Ibrahim is seen wearing a stunning black silk velvet bandhgala by veteran designer Sabyasachi. The ensemble is accessorized with a striking double-string pearl necklace and a sophisticated Panerai watch, a look that seems to be a direct nod to the timeless style of his father and his grandfather, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

The magazine, which dubbed him “the new prince on the block,” perfectly captured his “regal charm and captivating aura.” The entire spread further solidifies this “prince” narrative. In other shots, Ibrahim effortlessly transitions between classic and contemporary royalty. One photograph features him in an ethereal off-white sherwani by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, complete with a magnificent pearl and ruby necklace, looking every bit the part of aristocratic heir. In another, he presents a more modern, dapper look in a crisp black tuxedo by Manish Malhotra, proving his versatility and his ability to carry both traditional and Western silhouettes with an innate grace.

However, the most significant impact of the cover has been the explosive reaction from fans, who have flooded social media with praise. The consensus is unanimous: Ibrahim is a “carbon copy” of a young Saif Ali Khan. His sharp jawline, deep-set eyes, and poised demeanor have drawn immediate and countless comparisons to his father’s early days in Bollywood.

The comment sections of the magazine’s and Ibrahim’s social media posts were a testament to his captivating presence. “Royalty personified,” one user wrote. “This is not just a photoshoot, this is an announcement. The Prince of Pataudi is here!” declared another. Other comments ranged from “He has that regal aura that you just can’t manufacture” to “He defines the word ‘prince’ in every way.” The overwhelming sentiment is that Ibrahim possesses a rare blend of his father’s undeniable charm and his mother’s striking features.

This photoshoot is more than just a fashion statement; it’s a powerful branding move. As Ibrahim stands on the precipice of his highly anticipated Bollywood debut, this cover serves as a perfect introduction. It positions him not merely as another industry newcomer, but as the heir to a cinematic and literal dynasty. While details of his upcoming projects are still under wraps, this “regal” unveiling has exponentially increased the buzz surrounding his debut.
In an industry saturated with new talent, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Lifestyle Asia cover has effectively carved out a unique space for him. He isn’t just bringing his talent; he’s bringing a legacy. The fans have spoken, and they can’t get enough of the “Pataudi bloodline” and the “royal elegance” that Ibrahim Ali Khan so effortlessly embodies.

Here’s Why You Need Not Watch De De Pyaar De Before The Upcoming Sequel!

Is Watching De De Pyaar De (2019) Necessary Before The Upcoming Sequel Starring Ajay Devgn & Rakul Preet Singh?

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Do You Need To Watch De De Pyaar De Before The Upcoming Sequel? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are ready to come back with De De Pyaar De 2, which is the sequel to their 2019 romantic comedy. This time, R. Madhavan has also joined the cast, adding to the interest with a new turn of events. With the release approaching, many people are also wondering whether they need to see the first movie, De De Pyaar De (2019), to understand what is happening in the new one.

Do You Need To Watch The First Part Before De De Pyaar De 2?

The upcoming sequel will introduce a new story and set of circumstances, so watching De De Pyaar De is not necessary prior to this film. The producers are focusing on a new setup, so even those who have never seen the original movie will be able to enjoy the sequel. However, if you have seen the first film, you will likely pick up some exciting references and gain a better sense of the tone.

A Brief Recap Of De De Pyaar De

A quick recap for those who haven’t watched the first part: 52-year-old Ashish Mehra falls in love with 26-year-old Ayesha Khurana. They both met Ashish’s parents for their approval of the marriage. To find out whether they receive approval from Ashish’s family, viewers can stream the first installment on JioCinema.

What Is De De Pyaar De 2 About?

De De Pyaar De 2 is being helmed by Anshul Sharma and co-written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh play the lead roles. T-Series Films and Luv Films are the production companies behind the film, which is being filmed in Punjab and London. The release date has been set for November 14, 2025.

The narrative of the film would revolve around love, family disputes, and relationships again, but the presentation would be entirely different. The trailer suggested that Ajay Devgn’s character would be trying to impress his girlfriend’s family, which would seem hilarious and awkward, especially because her father is nearly the same age as Ajay Devgn.

Thus, if you are thinking of watching De De Pyaar De 2, then you don’t necessarily need to go back to the first part. The sequel is quite independent and introduces a new story, accompanied by fresh tensions.

Check out the trailer of De De Pyaar De 2 trailer below:

Shaan R Grover’s Fun Segment

During the fun segment with us, Shaan R Grover answered the following questions.

His favourite crackers- “I think simple firecrackers like phuljhadi would be nice. So yeah, that is something you can do and yeah, phuljhdis are nice.”

His favourite Diwali mithai- “As far as the sweets are concerned, any sort of laddoos are nice. Besan ke laddoos, Moti chur ke laddoos. Just give me any laddoos. Or Modaks also maybe. I love Modaks. And Modaks, laddoos, they all are welcome.”

His favourite Diwali namkeen- “As far as namkeen is concerned, anything spicy, anything sweet or a mixture of both, anything is more than welcome.”

His favourite film to watch on Diwali- “Any nice, feel-good family movie would be nice to watch after puja, dinner, and all the cards that you’ve played. That’s what I’ve done. And it’s been a ritual with my mom and dad that I go for a movie with them every Diwali. It’s been, I don’t know, from as far as I remember, since I was like five or six maybe, every Diwali. We’ve gone for a movie on the day of Diwali, so that’s been a ritual. So I love the popcorn. I love watching the movie with my parents on the biggest screen possible in a theatre. That’s always been a ritual.”

His favourite game(s) to play with family or friends, or Diwali- “Of course, cards. I’m very big on that. I’m a Delhi kid, so I’ve played Teen Patti all my life, and I’m pretty good at it too. So, of course, this is a no-brainer. I play Teen Patti, which is a card game, on Diwali.”

But as we speak right now, I can hear the firecrackers being burst outside my house in my society. The kids are pretty big on that. So that is the best side because I love the society kids, and they are my good friends. And just to see them enjoying makes me feel happy. So I would say my society.”

Ibrahim Ali Khan accepts Nadaaniyan was ‘really bad’, tells haters: ‘If I now give a blockbuster in the future…’

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Ibrahim Ali Khan, who made his Bollywood debut with Nadaaniyan, has called it a “really bad film.” Speaking with Esquire India, Ibrahim said that he and his film were trolled “nonstop.” He added that if he gives a “blockbuster in the future, I want the same kind of response” and that people “should go mad after” him.

Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan in a still from their Netflix film Nadaaniyan.

Ibrahim Ali Khan talks about his film Nadaaniyan

The son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh recalled how people waited in anticipation for Nadaaniyan’s release. He said, “Not too long ago, they were all waiting for my launch, and after Nadaaniyan, the hype has dropped real bad. They’ve trolled me nonstop. ‘He won’t be able to do it only.’ It’s a massive low… and I constantly feel bad about it. I’m just gonna go on record and say that it was a really bad film.”

Ibrahim talks about featuring in a blockbuster

Ibrahim Ali Khan added, “It was really bad. It became a sort of culture to, ‘Oh, let’s troll that film’. There were people who were trolling it just because they heard that some other person was trolling it. That’s uncalled for, but if I now give a blockbuster in the future, I want the same kind of response. They should go mad after me.”

All about Nadaaniyan, its review

Nadaaniyan, a teen romantic comedy film, was directed by Shauna Gautam and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment. The film also stars Khushi Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj.

The Hindustan Times review of the film read, “Ibrahim is faithful- not to the art but to that one constant confused/disgusted expression he has on his face. It’s his first film, okay. Then he should have prepared more. Who gives an exam without preparing? It’s a disappointing debut. Khushi Kapoor fares slightly well, as she has a tougher story arc, overcoming a broken family. She handles emotional scenes well, but her dialogue delivery needs more nuance.”

Ibrahim’s films

Ibrahim was last seen in Kayoze Irani’s Sarzameen alongside Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Fans will see him next in Diler, directed by Kunal Deshmukh. The film will reportedly feature Sreeleela in the female lead.

Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas Review: Elevated By Arshad Warsi’s and Jitendra Kumar’s Performances

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

If not for Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar, Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas, would’ve fallen flat. The film rides almost entirely on the capable shoulders of its two leads, both of whom breathe life into a script that otherwise feels derivative and overstretched. Arshad Warsi had shed his comic image to play an upright cop in Sehar (2005), a career-defining turn that showcased his serious acting chops. Now, in Bhagwat, he returns to familiar territory, and once again proves that he has the quiet intensity and gravitas to carry such roles. As Vishwas Bhagwat, an aging, angsty officer sent on a punishment posting to a restive town in Uttar Pradesh, Warsi is utterly convincing, paunch, ponderous gait, and all. His anger simmers just beneath the surface, erupting in interrogation rooms custom-built for his particular brand of justice.

Warsi looks good in khaki. It’s a mystery why Bollywood hasn’t cast him more often as a cop since Sehar. He adds nuance to a character that might otherwise have seemed stock: the tortured officer haunted by trauma, chasing justice with clenched fists and a ticking clock.

On the other side of the equation is Jitendra Kumar, who turns in a surprisingly complex performance as Samir, a backward caste schoolteacher involved in a blossoming (and taboo) romance with an upper-caste girl Meera (Ayesha Kaduskar). Known for his affable, bumbling roles in Panchayat and Kota Factory, Kumar pulls off a welcome transformation. He oscillates effortlessly between the charm of a road-side Romeo and the desperate defiance of a man accused. Even when the film starts to wobble under the weight of its borrowed ideas, Kumar holds it together with his slippery, layered portrayal.

Unfortunately, strong performances can’t entirely mask the film’s flaws. The story, clearly inspired by real-life cases, particularly the Cyanide Mohan case from Karnataka, takes more than a few narrative cues from Dahaad, the Vijay Varma-led series about a serial killer preying on vulnerable women, which was inspired by the same killer. The parallels are almost distracting, from the socio-religious tension surrounding the case to the modus operandi of the suspect, Bhagwat often feels like a rehash. Even worse, when the antagonist begins bragging about his crimes, you’re reminded of Sector 36. The deja vu is overwhelming.

Once the mystery is solved and the culprit identified, Bhagwat loses all momentum. What follows is a courtroom climax that strains believability, particularly when Jitendra Kumar’s character suddenly begins arguing his case with the confidence and flair of a seasoned prosecutor. The sequence, trying to be too clever for its own good, ends up feeling forced, dulling the emotional and narrative impact of everything that came before it.

There are important themes, caste, communalism, police brutality, but the film only glances at them before retreating into genre tropes. The supporting cast tries, but they’re never given enough room to truly register. The romantic subplot, initially refreshing in its tenderness, soon gets buried under the procedural drama. It should be said that Ayesha Kaduskar is in fine form here and shows that Bada Naam Karenge wasn’t a one-off thing.

In the end, Bhagwat is too reliant on its leads to do the heavy lifting. Warsi and Kumar deliver, no doubt, but the film around them doesn’t rise to meet their commitment. There are sparks here, a line, a look, a moment, but not enough to ignite a truly compelling fire. We’re not sure why it’s called Bhagwat Chapter One. Is it the first of the series and Bhagwat is coming back to solve more killings? As an interesting aside, please note that Arshad Warsi had also starred in a 2003 release called Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, which had no first part. The film is currently streaming on Zee5

Watch Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas for Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar. Endure the rest.
