The high-octane evening marked a defining moment in India’s beauty and fashion calendar, unveiling three exceptional titleholders who will carry India’s name with pride on global and national platforms:

In a compelling showcase of confidence, charisma, and competence, the contest announced:

  • Shevam Singh as Mr India World 2025 – who will represent India at the next  Mr World.

  • Abel  Biju as Mr India Supranational 2026 – who will represent India at Mister Supranational 2026 likely to be held in Poland. 

  • Shiv Chordia Mr India Rising Star 2025 – a new title honouring a talent who not only conquers the runway and big screens but also embodies academic excellence, leadership, and social purpose.

True to its vision of discovering multi-faceted talents, Mr India has consistently catalysed career growth, personality development, and international opportunities. A springboard to a million dreams, it has served as a launchpad for men who have stood tall on global stages, representing India with pride, inspiring millions, and carving stellar careers in the fashion and entertainment circuit. After an extensive nationwide hunt and screening, 100 shortlisted hopefuls from across the country arrived in Mumbai for the mega auditions, undergoing rigorous selection rounds that tested every dimension: personality, intellect, talent, fitness, and presentation. From the Top 12, six advanced to the nerve-wracking Q&A round, impressing a distinguished jury panel comprising Sangeeta Bijlani, Aditi Govitrikar, Ken Ghosh, Rocky Star, Jatin Kampani, and Varoin Marwah. With thought-provoking questions met by confident responses, the evening built to its climax — the announcement and felicitation of the three new titleholders, Shevam Singh – Mr India World 2025,  Abel Biju – Mr India Supranational 2026, and Shiv Chordia – Mr India Rising Star 2025. The celebrations continued late into the night with DJ Ganesh keeping the energy high.

Mr India World 2025 Shevam Singh: From the banks of the Ganges and carrying the pride of Patna, Shevam Singh comes from a humble middle-class family where values, discipline, and education were non-negotiable. Raised with a strong foundation of humility and hard work, he is determined, adaptable, and grounded. He believes that consistent effort is more powerful than raw talent, especially when talent lacks discipline.

He has won a state-level tabla competition, excelled in state-level tennis, and was crowned winner of a prestigious Pune pageant. The actor also shared a screenshot explaining the term “girl crush,” adding, “Honestly… what is the big deal?”

What did she say

In the resurfaced interview with Screen, Swara, alongside her husband and politician Fahad Ahmad, discussed sexuality and ideology. She argued that heterosexuality is a cultural construct. “We are all bisexual. If you leave people to themselves, we are actually bisexuals, but heterosexuality is an ideology that has been (put in us) culturally for thousands of years. Because that is how the human race will perpetuate, so it has to be the norm,” she explained.

When asked about her own crush, Swara candidly revealed it was Dimple Yadav, adding that she had even met her recently. The revelation amplified the online outrage, with many users criticising her views.

Instead of canceling the sequel altogether, the creators have chosen to rewrite the script as a fresh new standalone cop drama. Directed by acclaimed scriptwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad, who has written blockbuster hits such as Baahubali and RRR, the new film will mirror the same mass popularity and energy that audiences enjoyed in Rowdy Rathore, but without the branding name. This has had fans speculating whether this is the end of the Rowdy Rathore franchise, or if it will transition into a new, reimagined series.

A New Director and Lead Actor

Helmed by Tamil director P.S. Mithran, who had directed movies such as Irumbu Thirai, Hero, and Sardar, the upcoming venture will go on floors in early 2026. Interestingly, actor Sidharth Malhotra, who was initially being looked at to essay the leading role in Rowdy Rathore 2, is no longer a part of the movie. The cast is currently looking for a younger actor to star as a fearless, larger-than-life policeman. This casting change suggests a possible generational change for the new film.

The Legacy of Rowdy Rathore

The original Rowdy Rathore was a Hindi remake of the 2006 Telugu movie Vikramarkudu, which was directed by S.S. Rajamouli. Initially, the first schedule of the film was planned to be shot in Mumbai. However, the makers decided to scrap the set and move the shoot to Ladakh for authenticity. A source told Mid-Day that director Apoorva Lakhia wanted the scenes to be shot in sequence and felt that real locations would add depth to the story. The Mumbai shoot is now postponed indefinitely, though some patchwork or songs may be filmed later.

Battle of Galwan also stars Chitrangada Singh as the female lead. The supporting cast includes Ankur Bhatia, Zeyn Shaw, and others. The film is expected to be an emotional and action-packed tribute to the heroes of Galwan Valley.

During an interview with Screen, Swara spoke about her view on sexuality. She was accompanied by her husband and politician Fahad Ahmad during the chat. Swara said heterosexuality is an “ideology” that had been thrust on human beings. The interview went live five months back, but Swara’s statement surfaced on social media recently and went viral.

“We are all bisexual. If you leave people to themselves, we are actually bisexuals, but heterosexuality is an ideology that has been (put in us) culturally for thousands of years. Because that is how the human race will perpetuate, so it has to be the norm,” Swara said.

In middle of the interview, the host went in to ask who she had a crush on. To which, Swara mentioned the name of Samajwadi Party Lok Sabha MP Dimple Yadav. She also said that she met Dimple recently. The actor’s comments were met with intense backlash on social media.

1. Manoj Bajpayee

Manoj Bajpayee was among the possible options for the role of Chunnillal. However, he was doing only leading roles then and wanted to avoid playing a supporting character. He even openly said that he wanted to play the role of Devdas, but Sanjay Leela Bhansali had satisfactorily narrowed down on Shah Rukh Khan.

2. Govinda

The first actor in mind for Chunnillal was Govinda. He was a superstar then and did not want to play a side character. The Coolie No 1 actor also agreed to play, given the condition Shah Rukh Khan calls him and convinces him in the name of friendship. That’s what he told Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but it is unknown why things did not eventually work out.

3. Saif Ali Khan

After multiple rejections, Saif Ali Khan was approached for Chunnilal, but the actor reportedly demanded a huge paycheck. But he later clarified and claimed Sanjay Leela Bhansali closed the chapter without any discussion, so he did not really turn down the offer.

Ultimately, Jackie Shroff was roped in to play the supporting character and cine goers hailed him for his spectacular performance!

4. Kareena Kapoor Khan

Bebo had declared she would never work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after their Devdas fallout. Kareena Kapoor Khan was finalized for the role of Paro and was even paid the signing amount. Out of the blue, she was dropped from the film and replaced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It was the start of her career and a huge blow for the actress, who later rejected Bajirao Mastani.

5. Salman Khan

Many would be shocked to hear that Salman Khan was the first choice to play Devdas. SLB knew his strengths and weaknesses after they worked together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

However, Salman Khan rejected the offer, which gave a freeway for Shah Rukh Khan to be signed as Devdas. And honestly, we aren’t complaining!

For certain kinds of roles, certain kinds of jobs, whether you are a male or a female, it shouldn’t matter, and the pay should be the same. In the films, yes, we’ve been having this conversation for a very, very long time and trust me, it pinches us more than anyone else.”

She also highlighted the core issue: the vicious cycle linking star remuneration to audience appeal. “The huge gap in the payment for male and female actors. But I think it’s a circle because I feel that the fee of any actor sort of relates to how many audience you can pull into a theatre from your name on Day 1. Unfortunately, there are very few films that are, much fewer films I would say that are led by women than men.”

Kriti Reveals Female-Led Films Don’t Receive The Same Budget As Male-Led Movies

According to Kriti, even female-led films often don’t receive the same budget as those led by men. “Even if it’s a film led by a woman, I feel it’s not scaled at the same budget as a film that is led by a man would be. But that’s also because producers are scared that they are not going to get as much money back. So I think it’s a circle where female-led films don’t end up making as much money as the male-led films, and then it’s like ‘oh, that’s why his fees are more or her fees are less’.”

Kriti Sanon Says There Is A Gradual Change

Despite these challenges, Kriti sees signs of gradual change. “So I feel like it’s changing slowly. I like the fact that film work is no longer dependent on male or female; it depends on content. When a film led by three women, Crew, ended up working and entertaining the audience, it gave me hope. It felt like when it’s a female-led film, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a serious subject. You can also have fun, and you can also entertain people. You can also have these big locations and a substantial budget. I feel things will change only when some people, the producers obviously, have the heart to take the risk. Take risk on the subject, not who’s leading it.”

On her professional front, Kriti will next be seen in Aanand L. Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein opposite Dhanush. There are also reports that she may play a pivotal role in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, further establishing her as one of the most versatile actors of her generation.

As we wait to see Lakshya in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a throwback video of him talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s son goes viral

Like Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya is one newcomer whose Bollywood debut kept getting pushed. He was initially going to begin his journey with Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan’s Dostana 2, but the project was shelved. Karan Johar then announced Lakshya as one of the leads, alongside Shanaya, in Bedhadak. But that film was also shelved. In 2024, Lakshya finally made his Bollywood debut with Kill, leaving a lasting impression on audiences. Up next, he will be seen as the hero of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. But what does Lakshya think of Shah Rukh Khan’s son?

A year ago, during an interview with Fever FM, Lakshya opened up about his friend and now director Aryan Khan. When asked if he has ever felt a difference between nepo and non-nepo artists, Lakshya shared, “Difference I think bahar waale log zyaada banate hain. Andar kuchh hai nahi. Because aadhe toh mere dost hi hain saare. Janhvi (Kapoor), Shanaya (Kapoor), Ananya (Panday), Agastya (Nanda). Aur itne sahi log hain naa yeh. Itne correct hain, koi complications nahi hai, koi insecurities nahi hain. Apna kaam karte hain aur tameesdaar log hain. Aryan (Khan) humaare dost hain. Aryan was there in the screening and I made him meet my parents. And my father said ‘He doesn’t look like he’s Shah Rukh Khan’s son’. Like woh pair wair (proceeded to make the gesture of touching feet), matlab he’s just a perfect example of how a boy should be.”

Raghav Juyal, who was the villain of Kill and will be seen as Lakshya’s best friend in Aryan’s show, chimed in and added, “Bohot tehzeeb, usse naa bohot culture diya hua hai Aryan ko.” Well, clearly Aryan not only won his star cast over with a well-written show, but also his charming personality.

Also starring Bobby Deol and Sahher Bambba in the lead with epic cameos by Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar, Aryan’s show The Ba***ds of Bollywood is set to arrive on Netflix on September 18.
