Sameera Reddy reveals getting trolled while suffering from postpartum depression: ‘The bhajiwala also didn’t spare me’

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Sameera Reddy has opened up about the time when she was suffering from postpartum depression and how she was trolled then. Speaking with Zoom, Sameera revealed that after she gained weight, following her pregnancy, trolling on social media platforms affected her.

Sameera Reddy tied the knot on January 21, 2014.

Sameera Reddy talks about postpartum depression

Sameera talked about the “rough time” she had to go through when her weight was 105 kg. She shared, “After I gave birth, I put on so much weight because I was pumped with hormones. I had a rough time emotionally dealing with postpartum at that time. In the beginning, I was affected because I myself was confused. I went from absolutely slim to 105 kg.”

Sameera was trolled by a vendor

She said she was even trolled by the vegetable vendor. “I remember being mad, depressed. People are not nice. If they want to say something, they say it on your face. I always say the bhajiwala (vegetable vendor) also did not spare me. Nobody will understand at that moment what you are going through. So I am not going to lie and say it didn’t hurt me,” added Sameera.

About Sameera’s personal life

Sameera tied the knot with Akshai Varde, an entrepreneur, on January 21, 2014, in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. The couple is parents to two children–son Hans and daughter Nyra. Sameera and Akshai welcomed Hans in 2015 and Nyra in 2019.

When Sameera opened up about her life

In 2022, Sameera shared a long post on Instagram talking about her postpartum depression. She had written, “I questioned myself so many times if I should have a second baby. I was a complete wreck after my firstborn. PPD hit me like a brick. I lost control of my body and my self-worth. And it took a toll on my marriage because I had no clue how to handle it. I had a rock of a husband, amazing in-laws, and my family that never let my hand go through it all, and that really helped.”

A part of her note also read, “So many women ask me how I knew I wanted another child. Honestly, everyone’s journey is different, and it’s hard to pin down what makes you sure. But I will tell you that the only thing I knew was that this little girl, my Nyra, showed me how fearless I am, and I knew it was my decision and I could handle it. Because of those sleepless nights, the body changes, and the adjustment to the firstborn is not easy, but it’s not difficult either.”

Sameera to make comeback to films after 13 years

The actor, who has been a part of many Bollywood films such as No Entry (2005), Race (2008) and De Dana Dan (2009), took a break from acting after her marriage. Sameera was seen in Tezz in 2012. She is set to return to acting with her comeback film, Chimni, a horror-thriller set for a 2025 release.

These dialogues have been adapted, remixed, and repurposed to fit modern-day scenarios, blending humor with nostalgia. Here, we delve into the world of iconic Bollywood dialogues that have become viral memes, capturing the essence of what makes them so memorable and versatile.

1. “Mogambo khush hua!”

  • Movie: Mr. India (1987)
  • Actor: Amrish Puri

Amrish Puri’s portrayal of the villainous Mogambo in Mr. India left an indelible mark on Bollywood history. His dialogue, “Mogambo khush hua!” is synonymous with a sinister satisfaction. It has since become a meme staple, used to express joy or triumph in a variety of contexts. Whether it’s about acing an exam, getting a promotion, or even something as mundane as finding a good parking spot, the phrase captures the moment perfectly. The dramatic delivery of the line adds to its appeal, making it a favorite for exaggerated, over-the-top expressions of happiness.

2. “How’s the josh? High Sir!”

  • Movie: Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019)
  • Actor: Vicky Kaushal

The patriotic fervor of Uri: The Surgical Strike is encapsulated in this iconic dialogue. Vicky Kaushal’s intense delivery of “How’s the josh?” followed by the rousing response “High Sir!” became an instant hit, transcending the film to become a motivational catchphrase. It’s used to pump up enthusiasm in everything, from sports events to corporate meetings. The meme variations range from sarcastic takes on low energy situations to hyperbolic displays of excitement, proving its versatility and widespread appeal.

3. “Dosti mein no sorry, no thank you.”

  • Movie: Maine Pyar Kiya (1989)
  • Actor: Salman Khan

Salman Khan’s character in Maine Pyar Kiya defines the unspoken rules of friendship with this memorable line. “Dosti mein no sorry, no thank you” has become a cultural reference point for the unique dynamics of friendship. It’s often used in memes to humorously address the informal, boundary-free nature of close friendships. Whether it’s about borrowing things without asking or showing up unannounced, this dialogue perfectly encapsulates the essence of true friendship, making it a go-to line for relatable and funny social media posts.

4. “Tension lene ka nahi, sirf dene ka.”

  • Movie: Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003)
  • Actor: Sanjay Dutt

Munna Bhai’s carefree and optimistic attitude is summed up in this dialogue. Sanjay Dutt’s delivery of “Tension lene ka nahi, sirf dene ka” has been adopted by meme-makers to represent a stress-free approach to life. It’s perfect for situations where one decides to remain unbothered by challenges or difficulties. The line has been used in a variety of contexts, from handling exam stress to dealing with workplace pressure, promoting a relaxed and humorous take on everyday struggles.

5. “Kitne aadmi the?”

  • Movie: Sholay (1975)
  • Actor: Amjad Khan

Gabbar Singh’s menacing question “Kitne aadmi the?” from Sholay is one of Bollywood’s most iconic lines. It has been meme-ified to represent scenarios where one is overwhelmed by numbers or odds. It’s frequently used in humorous depictions of group projects gone wrong, surprise tests, or any situation involving large, daunting tasks. The line’s enduring appeal lies in its ability to convey a sense of challenge and confrontation, often with a humorous twist.

6. “Tumse na ho payega.”

  • Movie: Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)
  • Actor: Tigmanshu Dhulia

This brutally honest line from Gangs of Wasseypur has become a popular meme for highlighting incompetence in a humorous way. Tigmanshu Dhulia’s delivery of “Tumse na ho payega” is perfect for calling out overambitious plans or unrealistic goals. It’s often used to humorously poke fun at someone’s overconfidence or to playfully discourage someone from attempting something difficult. The meme variations are endless, making it a versatile and widely used phrase on social media.

7. “Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, uske baad toh main khud ki bhi nahi sunta.”

  • Movie: Wanted (2009)
  • Actor: Salman Khan

Salman Khan’s line about unwavering commitment in Wanted has been adopted by meme culture to represent stubbornness and determination. The dialogue “Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, uske baad toh main khud ki bhi nahi sunta” is ideal for situations where someone sticks to their plans no matter what. It’s often used to depict scenarios where persistence and resilience are key, making it a favorite for motivational posts and humorous takes on sticking to one’s goals, no matter how trivial.

8. “Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain.”

  • Movie: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
  • Actor: Shah Rukh Khan

Raj’s casual reassurance in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has been turned into memes to downplay awkward or minor situations humorously. The line “Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain” is perfect for making light of everyday blunders or social faux pas. It’s often used to inject a bit of humor and perspective into small mishaps, turning potentially embarrassing moments into something to laugh about.

9. “Kutte, kaminey, main tera khoon pee jaunga!”

  • Movie: Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973)
  • Actor: Dharmendra

Dharmendra’s intense threat in Yaadon Ki Baaraat has been hilariously repurposed in memes to exaggerate reactions to minor annoyances. The dramatic line “Kutte, kaminey, main tera khoon pee jaunga!” is perfect for over-the-top responses to everyday frustrations. Whether it’s about someone cutting in line or taking the last piece of pizza, this dialogue adds a layer of humor through its sheer intensity.

10. “Pushpa, I hate tears.”

  • Movie: Amar Prem (1972)
  • Actor: Rajesh Khanna

Rajesh Khanna’s line to Sharmila Tagore in Amar Prem has been meme-ified to express mock heartbreak or exaggerated indifference. The line “Pushpa, I hate tears” carries emotional weight, which, when contrasted with trivial modern-day scenarios, creates a delightful irony. It’s often used to humorously depict situations where one pretends to be unaffected by something, adding a touch of melodrama.

These 10 iconic Bollywood dialogues don’t just showcase the charm and wit of Indian cinema—they’ve also found a whole new life on social media. Whether it’s celebrating little wins, laughing at everyday chaos, or simply adding sass to a meme, these lines perfectly capture today’s moods with a Bollywood twist. So, the next time you’re stuck in a meme-worthy moment, chances are a filmy dialogue is ready to do the talking!

No Mercy For Paparazzi: Deepika Padukone’s Stern Warning To Fan Recording Dua At Airport | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been in the middle of a huge social media controversy after a video of their one-year-old daughter Dua was leaked online. The video, allegedly shot at Mumbai International Airport, captures Deepika with Dua on her lap in a buggy. The video, which gained traction online, has resulted in widespread outrage, with fans and netizens lashing out at the privacy invasion of the family.

Unconsented Recording Sparks Backlash

Deepika is seen visibly distressed and is noticed requesting the person behind the camera to put a stop to the recording but that doesn’t happen. This action has been criticized by fans who have always appreciated the couple’s strong decision of keeping Dua out of the media’s sight. Until now, the paparazzi and news outlets had largely respected the couple’s request for privacy when it came to their child.

One viewer posted, “Please remove this video. The parents have always indicated they do not want Dua’s photographs posted.” Another viewer chimed in, “It isn’t right to post this if the parents haven’t agreed. It’s a definite invasion of their privacy.” The episode has opened up wider debate surrounding the morality of taking pictures of children of celebrities without their parents’ permission.

Pattern of Paparazzi Overreach

This is not the first time that celebrity parents in Bollywood have expressed concern over their children’s privacy. Previously, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had asked photographers not to click pictures of their daughter Raha after having first introduced her at a family event. The couple went on to reiterate that they would keep her away from the limelight owing to fears of her safety and mental state.

In like manner, Deepika and Ranveer, who brought home Dua on September 8, 2024, have balanced their approach. They had invited some paparazzi to get to know their daughter but did not publish her photos. On Diwali, they shared her name with a sentimental message: “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers.”

What’s Next for the Couple

On the work front, Ranveer Singh is all set to release Dhurandhar on December 6, followed by much-awaited Don 3. Deepika Padukone, who’s on maternity leave, is getting ready to roll back into the movies with director Atlee’s next film opposite Allu Arjun.

While the controversy rages online, the incident has sparked heated debates about boundaries, consent, and the right to privacy even for India’s most publicized families.

Karan Johar evolved from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, says Janhvi Kapoor: ‘True sign of artist’ | Bollywood

Karan Johar made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani released in 2023.

Karan Johar recently won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for his directorial feature Rocky Aur Rani kii Prem Kahani. Interestingly, he had won the same award for his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which was released in 1998. Actor Janhvi Kapoor stressed how Karan has evolved as a director with the times in an interview with Mirchi Plus. (Also read: Janhvi Kapoor breaks silence on Param Sundari vs Chennai Express comparisons: ‘Not all people from the South can be…’)

Janhvi Kapoor showered praise on Karan Johar and how he has evolved as a director.

What Janhvi said about Karan Johar

During the interview, Janhvi was seen with co-star Sidharth Malhotra, and the two talked about their favourite rom-coms. They went on to talk about how Mani Ratnam’s Saathiya is a toxic love story in many ways. In this regard, Janhvi said, “It is also interesting to see how filmmakers have evolved with society. I think that Karan [Johar] is a great example.”

She went on to explain her point further and added, “If you look back at Kuch Kuch Hota Hai… of course, it was iconic, but phir jaake jab unhone Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani banayi (then he went on to make this film), there you can see that he is a very evolved feminist. I think that is a true sign of an artist.”

About the two films

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji. The film was praised for its fresh on-screen pairing and music. Still, over the years many viewers have revisited the film and criticised it for its problematic portrayal of gender stereotypes.

Meanwhile, the romantic drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani tackled critical issues like feminism, the toxic effects of patriarchy, gender stereotypes, and women’s empowerment. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film grossed over ₹300 crore upon its release in 2023.

A few days ago, Karan announced via Instagram that he is set to return to the director’s chair in 2026. He has promised to make a classic, old-fashioned Hindi film that resonates with him.
